    Large-scale Resort Hotel

This Hotel was very enjoyable for families with children. However, the crowds around the free drinks and snacks and the elevator congestion were terrible. In particular, since the 9:00 PM drink time is advertised as including alcohol service, I think minors should be prohibited. There was trash in front of the elevator, and it remained there for two days; I think cleaning should be improved. The breakfast buffet is the same every day and gets repetitive, so it’s better to use reciprocal dining options.

My children loved this Hotel, so this is our second stay. There are water slides and a pool for younger kids, so even siblings with a big age gap can enjoy it. There were fireworks at night as well. We were also very satisfied with the inflatable obstacle course in the sea. The only complaint is that the coin laundry gets extremely crowded. They should add more washing machines and dryers.

    Wi‑Fi was not available.

I understood this is a family-oriented Hotel and not a luxury property, but it was below my expectations, so I’m posting this review. The air conditioning in the lobby, restaurant, guest rooms, and lounge was far too cold. Even when set to low in the Room, it was still too cold to leave on continuously, so I had to repeatedly turn it on and off. I used the buffet restaurant for dinner, but staff could not keep up with clearing tables, and used plates were left scattered around. If staffing is short during peak periods, I think asking guests to place dishes on a cart would ultimately feel more comfortable than the current situation. There were not enough elevators for the number of guest rooms, and we often had to wait a long time. Perhaps because of that, a service elevator was made available, but the guidance/signage was unclear; since it’s for staff use, it felt stark and intimidating. The Wi‑Fi speed was poor and I could not connect even once in my Room. Since I couldn’t work at all, I cut my Multiple Night Stay short, paid the Cancellation Fee, and moved to another Hotel. I travel seeking an escape from everyday life, but this made me feel that staying home would have been far better—so I won’t be returning.

    Summer Vacation Family Trip

We stayed for 2 nights and 3 days in early August. We returned because our kids were very happy when we visited in fall 2024. We also went to Alivila, but our kids seem to prefer Mercure. This time, due to a typhoon, we had to shorten our stay to just 1 night, so we only used the pool on the first day, dinner, and breakfast. We couldn’t really relax at all, but we were satisfied with the meals. The pool was indeed crowded and the water looked cloudy. The poolside benches also seemed to be taken, so it was hard to find a place to sit. Considering the number of guests, I’d like them to add more seating or have staff manage it better. There were many seats that appeared reserved even though it was unclear whether anyone was actually using them. Waiting for the elevator didn’t bother us much. I’m dissatisfied with the front desk service. It was polite last time, but this time I wasn’t sure whether they understood what I was saying. Also, we tried to ask a staff member to take a family photo, but only one person was available—a tall white staff member who felt quite intimidating. Even though I didn’t feel comfortable approaching him, there was no one else. He was extremely unfriendly and didn’t respond—more like “I’ll take it” with an unpleasant attitude. It was awful. Maybe he didn’t understand the language, but even so, I don’t think he is suited for customer service.

    I’m a returning guest.

This was my third stay. It was always very crowded when I stayed during the high season, but this time I felt there were many improvements. Check-in was smoother than before. The elevators were smoother. The dining area was also smoother. I really enjoyed my stay.

For use during the Obon holiday in August 2026.

We stayed for two nights during the Obon holiday period after the typhoon had passed. This Reservation was made in September 2025 (11 months in advance). From the time we booked until just before departure, I read various Reviews and felt increasingly anxious. In particular: not enough pool loungers, not enough elevators, and check-in taking an hour. In conclusion, there were not enough pool loungers. Before Obon, a notice was posted on the official website asking guests to refrain from reserving seats before the pool opens, but no one followed it. Around 6:00 a.m., watching the pool from our balcony, I saw adults (mostly men) securing loungers with bath towels and float rings. If there are no loungers available, you can borrow something like a leisure mat to place your belongings on the lawn and still claim a spot. (I brought my own mat.) As for the elevator shortage, it honestly wasn’t very stressful. That’s because elevators are separated between those for the executive floors and those for other guests. It gets somewhat crowded depending on the time of day, but even though it seemed like around 1,500 people were staying during Obon, we waited about five minutes at most. During peak times, staff will guide you to use a service elevator. Regarding check-in: since we had been sightseeing and ended up checking in at 5:00 p.m., there was no line (laughs), so it went smoothly. This time we chose an Executive Twin with No Meals Included. It was truly comfortable—we didn’t have to go to the breakfast venue where it was “1,450 people waiting!”, and instead could enjoy breakfast at a relaxed pace on the top floor while looking out over Zanpa Cape and the ocean. Note: there are no windows in the second-floor breakfast venue. Unless you specifically want to try lots of different foods, I recommend a Plan without breakfast. As for our Room: two adults (over 180 cm and 150 cm tall) plus two middle school students (170–150 cm tall)—four people total—with four beds set up, and it did not feel cramped. There were no unpleasant odors when entering; overall it was comfortable. The refrigerator is empty. There is water available on each floor, but strangely it didn’t taste good—so buying bottled water is probably safer. Overall—considering this used to be Zanpa Royal—you can see some aging in parts of the building, but it’s not nearly as bad as some make it sound. As long as you don’t arrive expecting a luxury resort experience, there’s really no problem. Families can have a great time here.

    Considering the cost

It didn’t feel worth the cost. Since we stayed in an expensive Room, we might have been more satisfied with a cheaper one. The first thing that stood out was the limited amenities. You may be able to get what you need by asking at the front desk, but it still felt a bit lacking. All the staff were cheerful and provided good service. We were also happy with the pool. However, perhaps because it was crowded, the nearby beach wasn’t very clear. It might be better to go to a less crowded beach.

    The staff seemed to ...

The staff seemed to focus only on their assigned tasks, and we did not feel the level of hospitality found at other hotels. Even in the lounge, staff were only restocking and clearing away, with no reception or assistance. In any case, there were very few staff, and it felt like we barely communicated with anyone during our stay. The elevators are extremely inconvenient. The pool and beach are great for children, but they were very crowded.

We stayed as a family during the summer holidays. The property was well maintained and clean overall. We used the executive lounge; there was a wide selection of alcoholic drinks, but we wished there were a few more juice options. The pool facilities were excellent, and the children were very satisfied. This is a Hotel we would like to stay at again if we have the opportunity. Thank you for your hospitality.

It became an unforgettable summer vacation memory!

As a family of five from Okinawa, we had wanted to stay at this Hotel since last year and made a Reservation, but ongoing health issues in the family meant we had to Cancel the Reservation twice. We were all truly disappointed. This year, we were determined to try again. The day of our Reservation was forecast for a direct typhoon hit, so we consulted the Hotel staff. They told us there were still a few Rooms available on other dates, so we immediately changed our dates and rebooked starting after the typhoon passed. Because it was a last-minute Reservation, we didn’t request any specific Room. On arrival, we were guided quickly at check-in, and our Room was upgraded to a high floor. We also had access to the lounge—our whole family kept saying what a wonderful Hotel it is. We were deeply moved by the thoughtful hospitality. We will definitely come back again next year. The pool was great, and every staff member and service was excellent—and above all, all of the food was delicious. Thank you so much for giving us such wonderful summer memories!

    We stayed for 3 nigh...

We stayed for 3 nights and 4 days starting on 8/9. Our kids love pools, so we chose this Hotel because of the great selection of slides. The pool was closed on our arrival day due to the typhoon, but it reopened for the night pool and the kids were thrilled! They swam every day and were very satisfied. As for the ocean obstacle course, Reservations opened at 7:00 a.m. on the day, but while I was entering the required information online, all slots filled up. We couldn’t get our preferred time and had to change our plans, which was disappointing. The executive lounge was comfortable and overall very good, but it was a shame that the menu was exactly the same every day. A little variety would be appreciated for guests on a Multiple Night Stay. Our kids also enjoyed the summer festival stalls and went every day! Many thanks to all the staff there. We’d love to visit again if we have another chance!

    The front desk staff...

The front desk staff were foreigners, and their Japanese was difficult to understand. We had a Multiple Night Stay, but it was disappointing that breakfast was the same every day. The pool water was dirty again this year. There were also long lines for the washing machines; with so many guests, there were not nearly enough. Because of the typhoon we couldn’t use the pool, and many people seemed bored, so I wished there had been more efforts to entertain guests. Overall, it didn’t feel worth the cost and was disappointing.

    Perfect for family trips.

We chose this Hotel because we have two children (12 and 10) and it offers plenty of pool and beach activities. We stayed for about a week on a Plan that included two meals plus lounge access. The Room and Facility were clean and nice, but the food was disappointing. We used the Hotel restaurant only once each for breakfast and dinner, but it was simply a very large buffet-style venue. While it was all-you-can-eat and drink (including alcohol), it felt hectic, not very clean, and although there seemed to be many options, there wasn’t much we actually wanted to eat. Since we could use the nearby Nikko Hotel as well, we ended up going there every day instead. The lounge was relatively calm and comfortable, so we were satisfied with that. It was still before peak season in June, but as others have mentioned, the elevators hardly ever came! With only three elevators, long lines sometimes formed. If you ask whether I would stay again, I’m not sure—but the kids seemed to have a great time. Breakfast was extremely crowded too, so I wish there were an option to switch it to lunch instead. When people say “all-inclusive” at overseas hotels, it usually means breakfast, lunch, dinner—everything is included no matter what. Is it different in Japan? It didn’t feel truly “all,” so I wasn’t sure what to expect.

It was a Hotel that children could enjoy.

We stayed here for a family trip during summer vacation. When I mentioned at the time of our Reservation that this was also a birthday trip for my husband, we found a message and a small gift in our Room, which made him very happy. There were plenty of pool and ocean activities, and our two elementary-school-aged sons had a great time. As I had seen in Reviews beforehand, there were some minor concerns about waiting for the elevator and the cleanliness of the large public bath, but considering the price, Facilities, and service, I felt it was acceptable. We would definitely like to stay again.

    It was my first stay...

It was my first stay, and I found it a Hotel that is difficult to rate. While the pool-related Facilities are well equipped, I was strictly told that towels are limited to one per person, which felt unrealistic; meanwhile, even when some guests kept deck chairs or floats reserved for long periods, there was no warning or intervention. The guest room was inconvenient with no hangers or drying rack, and soundproofing was also lacking as hallway voices were clearly audible. Meals, including in the lounge, had limited variety and were the same every day. There was no staff at the entrance to assist, so I was confused upon arrival. For a large-scale Hotel, there were only about 10 washing machines, which felt insufficient. The number of elevators also seemed limited, and sometimes we could not get on. Considering all of the above, it felt overpriced.

    I’d definitely stay here again.

We stayed in a Japanese-Western style Room with access to the executive lounge. The Room was flawless, and we had a very comfortable stay. We stayed for three nights (Multiple Night Stay), and housekeeping was basically not provided unless requested. That system was great because we didn’t have to worry about someone entering the Room while we were out. If you leave used towels, pajamas, and trash in the hallway, they will collect them and replenish fresh items. Some Reviews mention that having only three elevators causes extreme congestion, but it seemed like two additional elevators had been added, making a total of five available, so it wasn’t particularly stressful. We only used the breakfast buffet. It wasn’t the “one perfect signature dish” type; rather, it felt like a safe, well-rounded selection with strength in variety. For the large public bath, you have to bring towels from your Room, and there is no facial cleanser in the bathing area—so amenities get -1. It gets extremely crowded around 9:00 PM when the pool closes, so be aware. We used the pool from early afternoon, but perhaps because of Okinawa’s sun warming it up, it felt more like lukewarm bathwater and didn’t feel refreshing—so -1. The floating water obstacle course has fewer usable time slots than expected due to tides/wind and fitting it into your schedule, so if that’s your main purpose for visiting, I recommend checking with the Hotel in advance. There were some minor points that stood out to us here and there, but overall we had a fun and comfortable stay every day. Even though it was during peak summer vacation season (a busy period), we never felt worn out by crowds. If we go to Okinawa again, we’d love to return!

    I would stay again, but…

Stayed again this year to use the pool. As before, there was a very long line at check-in and not enough staff. There also aren’t enough elevators, so we often had to use the stairs, and the step in the guest room felt unsafe. Honestly, it can be stressful at times, but as long as that pool is there, I’ll keep coming back. The meals were satisfying as well. Improving the Facility may be difficult, but I do hope you can increase staffing.

    I’m satisfied.

The lazy river pool and water slides are very popular with children. Excellent value for money at this price. However, I would have liked bath towels to be provided in the large public bath.

To make your stay even more comfortable.

We stayed for two nights as two families. The Facility was very clean, and all the staff were consistently kind and helpful. It was also great that there was daily entertainment such as Eisa performances and fireworks, along with plenty of activities the kids could enjoy. That said, I’d like to share a few points where we felt, “It would be even more comfortable if this were improved!” 1) Please add shelves or lockers by the poolside where guests can place their belongings. Since there’s nowhere to put bags, many people spread their things out on the loungers to reserve space, so hardly anyone was actually relaxing on them. 2) Most guests use the pool, but there is nowhere in the Room to hang wet swimsuits or clothes. It would help to provide a drying rack, or at least install a drying bar in the bathroom where hangers can be used. Also, it would be great to have a swimsuit spin dryer either by the poolside or near the large public bath. 3) The changing area lockers in the bath have doors but cannot be locked, and you have to open them to see whether they’re available—an unusual setup. There is a valuables box near where you remove your shoes, but its key is attached to a regular keychain rather than something you can wear on your wrist, so you can’t bring it into the bath and end up having no choice but to leave it in an unlocked locker—this raised security concerns for us. 4) With the all-inclusive plan, drinks (beer and juice) and snacks (nuts and chocolate) are served at set times in the lounge next to the first-floor lobby. However, everything is packed into a small area so it gets extremely crowded. Please consider splitting service into two or three stations, or offering sweets individually wrapped / pre-portioned instead of buffet-style so they’re easier to pick up and congestion is reduced. 5) Please lower the temperature of both the pool(s) and cold bath slightly. Both pools—the main pool and lazy river—were not just lukewarm but actually hot. The cold bath in the large public bath also felt around 30°C. I’ve mentioned quite a few things, but overall we made wonderful memories here. Thank you very much.

    Perfect for families with children

We stayed for two nights in late July. We had a blast at the pool and the beach, and the breakfast and dinner buffets offered great variety—both my child and I were very satisfied. We had planned to do more sightseeing nearby, but it was so comfortable that we ended up spending almost the entire two days inside the Hotel. Both at the pool and on the beach, there were plenty of lifeguards who watched attentively, so even with a small child we felt safe letting them play. The service was also very polite. The poolside bar and lounge snacks were great as well. The only downside was that there were almost no available pool umbrellas. On the middle day of our Multiple Night Stay, we swam from morning and then relaxed in the large public bath starting at 3:00 PM. It was amazing to have an open-air panoramic bath with blue skies all to ourselves. While bathing, we dried our swimsuits in the coin laundry to get ready for the night pool. This time we also added a snorkeling activity. The spot was only a short distance from the beach, yet we could see lots of fish up close—very satisfying. Our Superior Room was spacious, modern, and comfortable, but it was frustrating that elevators took a long time (both cars passed by full). During high season, I think it’s worth paying a bit extra to stay on an executive floor. Still, even though it was extremely busy during summer vacation season, thanks to the huge banquet space we didn’t have to wait too long for meals, which really helped.

    Family Trip

The pool was truly fun. Pool tickets are picked up in the lobby every day, but no one asks for a Room number, and even when getting towels they don’t ask either, so it felt like people could use the pool even without staying at the hotel. Saving seats at the pool is like a competition. If so, I’d like you to make it reservable. The high-floor lounge was excellent, but only one of the three elevators can be used by high-floor guests. I would prefer an elevator that is restricted to high-floor guests only—something that won’t operate unless you tap your key card. You also need to tap a key card to enter the lounge, but when sharing an elevator, the first person taps and then everyone enters as-is, so I think security there should be stricter. The lounge was great, but since the offerings were exactly the same every day, I wanted the drinks and food to change daily. I stayed for a family trip while pregnant before giving birth. I was shocked that there was no parking designated for pregnant guests. There are too few coin laundry machines compared with the number of Rooms, and it became competitive as well; I think you should reconsider things such as separating usage by floor level and improving convenience. Overall, we were satisfied. I hope these points will be improved.

    Unfortunately, it feels cheap.

The pool was large and very enjoyable. Due to a setup error, we couldn’t access the lounge. Despite the property’s size and the large number of rooms, there were only three elevators, which led to long waits. The low ceilings also made it feel hot and stuffy, and the food quality was not satisfactory. I hope you will benchmark other hotels and improve your brand image.

    Zanpa Cape Resort Accommodation

We had a very fulfilling three-day stay. However, we felt that at check-in you should explain in advance that there may be a wait at breakfast, that Reservations are required, and that the floating water obstacle course has limited capacity and fixed time slots. Because it was stated at the time of booking the Hotel that guests could use the floating water obstacle course, we went there expecting to participate, but it was already full for our time slot. Our child ended up crying hard, and it became a sad memory. It was really disappointing to miss out on such an option. Precisely because this is such a well-known and great Hotel, it felt like a missed opportunity—but we still had an enjoyable stay overall. We would like to stay again if we have the chance.

    This is my second stay.

I stayed here for the second time, aiming for just after the rainy season ended. It was a 3-night, 4-day stay over a weekend, and it was quite busy. For families with children who mainly want to enjoy the pool and the beach, I think this Accommodation is a great fit. Since it was peak season, the Room cleaning felt a bit lacking—for example, there was trash under the bed. If you choose no housekeeping during your stay, you receive a ¥500 voucher per day. We chose a Plan with both dinner and breakfast included, and both meals had an excellent variety. We stayed multiple days, but it seemed there wasn’t much change in the menu overall. Also, unless you go right when breakfast opens, there was usually a wait. And although it’s quite a large Hotel, there are only three elevators, so they were crowded and we often had to wait. This isn’t really related to evaluating the Hotel itself, but since it’s relatively affordable, some guests’ behavior felt poor… People loudly complaining while waiting for elevators. It also seemed like some parents let preschool-aged children enter the pool alone while they relaxed with drinks poolside; at one point a child fell off an inflatable ring and nearly drowned… things like that happened during our stay. That said—despite everything I’ve written—the executive lounge offered Moët & Chandon and Zanpa Premium during night time, and because it’s all-inclusive there were almost no out-of-pocket expenses beyond the accommodation cost, so it felt like very good value. If you’re going mainly for the pool or beach I would visit again; in the off-season I’d probably choose another Accommodation.

    Dissatisfied

I think the balance between the breakfast venue capacity and the number of guests is far too poor. At 8:00, there were 68 parties waiting—extremely stressful. The performance is terrible; you should set time slots or something. We had a Multiple Night Stay, but the food was almost exactly the same every day, which was very disappointing. There was a discarded paper cup left by someone next to the elevator, and it was still in the same place the next day—my small child almost picked it up. It’s unhygienic. Don’t you do cleaning patrols? For guests who don’t need Room cleaning, we were told to put the trash bin and towels outside the Room. When we did that, our door locked automatically, and even after contacting the front desk we were kept waiting for over 10 minutes. I was lightly dressed and felt embarrassed. This Okinawa trip is starting to feel like it will become a very bad memory.
