    The meals are excellent.

    The meals are very delicious. I can recommend the meals at a level not seen recently. The service during meals was also very good, so there were no complaints about the restaurant. Unfortunately, the Room had several inconvenient points and seemed not to be designed by a professional. There was no point in having an open-air bath as it offered zero sense of openness. Moreover, the voices from the restaurant echoed into the bar. It was very disappointing because only the meals were outstanding.

    Healthy Stays

    Izumo is a place where everything is delicious, and the dishes that make the most of these ingredients are also wonderful. I was healed by the heartfelt hospitality. This is a Property where you can be healthy both physically and mentally, and I will visit again. Thank you very much.

    A comfortable stay

    The staff communicated smoothly with us, accurately understanding our questions, making our stay comfortable. The Room amenities were also excellent. The only minor issues were the narrowness of the washroom for changing clothes and the large portion sizes of the meals. The overall setup was wonderful, and I would be delighted to visit again if given the opportunity.

    Excellent.

    I was really glad to trust the reviews. The service was more than worth the price. Delicious meals, clean rooms, and above all, the smiles of the staff truly healed me. When I consulted with the staff about sightseeing, they kindly researched and suggested various options, allowing us to visit everything within the limited time, making it a truly wonderful trip.     A Property with Exquisite Cuisine

    I didn't know there was such a wonderful Property in front of Izumo Taisha. The smiles of the staff and the exquisite cuisine prepared by the young chef were exceptional. I had an unforgettable and wonderful time. Thank you for upgrading the Room as well. I will visit again in a different season.

    Restaurant

    The food was absolutely delicious. Also, the restaurant staff were very kind, and I was able to have a wonderful time. If I had to say, I think the Room wear could be changed to something else. The design is unusual and makes the body look extremely large.

    Great satisfaction at Stays

    It was close to Izumo Taisha and I was able to relax. The meals were abundant with local ingredients, each dish was creatively prepared, and they were very delicious. I heard that if you have a Multiple Night Stay, they will serve different dishes, so next time, I definitely want to stay multiple nights. The staff were cute and kind, and I had a great time. The Daisen soft serve ice cream they recommended was also delicious. The Onsen was also very pleasant.

    A Hotel that gives you a reason to visit Shimane Prefecture

    In conclusion, it was a very satisfying stay. I will write about three noteworthy points. ① Quality of the meals I planned to have dinner near the Hotel and chose a breakfast-only Plan, but I regretted not choosing a dinner-included Plan because the breakfast was so delicious. Since most restaurants around the Hotel are not open at night, I recommend a dinner-included Plan. ② Great location It was a luxurious time to be able to eat food bought at restaurants around the approach to Izumo Taisha at the Hotel, which is within easy walking distance. It was also a wonderful experience to see the different expressions of Izumo Taisha during the day and night. ③ Excellent staff service All the staff who assisted with check-in, Room guidance, and breakfast service provided excellent service. Especially the breakfast service was so energizing that it made me feel really good in the morning. Of course, the Room was comfortable, and I highly recommend it. When visiting Izumo, you can't go wrong with this Hotel! I will definitely visit again. By the way, the sauna I recommended at breakfast was the best!!

    A charming auberge

    It was a stay aimed at visiting Izumo Taisha, but I was thrilled by how delicious the food was! The staff were kind, and I was happy to have a great time chatting with them. Thank you very much. This time I was with a friend, but next time I would like to have a relaxing Multiple Night Stay by myself at the Property. I will visit again!

    A hotel for adults where you can enjoy meals that delight all five senses.

    I visited Shimane Prefecture for the first time with the purpose of staying at kararako. The hotel's exterior, interior, tableware during meals, room furnishings, and wallpaper were all very elaborate, and I wanted to use them as a reference for my home's interior. What particularly impressed me was the food. The careful preparation that brought out the best of the ingredients was wonderful. The explanation of the dishes was also very thorough, allowing me to enjoy the cuisine with all my senses while understanding the intention behind each dish. The sake was also delicious. I especially liked the sake that was recommended to me, so after checking out, I visited a sake brewery on Hirata Cotton Road. Next time, I plan to visit during the season recommended by the chef. I am already looking forward to what ingredients will be waiting in that season.

    It was a very nice Stays.

    Since it was my first trip to Izumo Taisha, I looked for a property with an onsen in the guest room and delicious-looking cuisine, and chose this property. Everything, including the cuisine, guest room, and service, was wonderful. I would definitely like to stay here again when visiting Izumo Taisha.

    Children not allowed at this Property

    The parking lot is quite difficult to find, but the staff ran to meet us, showing hospitality from the start. The sink plug was broken, and the staff couldn't fix it, but it seemed to open by chance, so I was quite careful while using it, fearing it might close again. We were able to stay because it was not stated as child-unfriendly at the time of reservation, and we enjoyed delicious food and the room bath, having a pleasant time. The surrounding area is a tourist spot, convenient for those coming by train, and Izumo Taisha is nearby. It's also convenient as they allow you to use the parking lot even after check-out. However, it is not child-friendly, so it is not accommodating to all households.

    Thank you very much for your hospitality. I'm glad I came to this Stays! Just a word of gratitude. Thank you very much. The meals were all wonderful, and I felt the love of the people who prepared each dish and the staff who served them to us. It was really delicious! And the staff are amazing. We had a great time chatting and had a very enjoyable time. The head spa was also fantastic. My husband seems to have become hooked on the head spa for the first time and says he wants to request it again next time (laughs). We are planning to visit again soon, so please take care of us again then!

    I will visit again.

    I'm glad there's such a nice place nearby. Delicious food, drinks, good Room, it's perfect. I want to stay in a different Room in a different season. It's a shame I couldn't have matcha at the tea room. If it's no longer available, it would be better to update the information.

    The food is very delicious.

    The head chef greeted us at the end and shared some thoughts on the cuisine. The small dishes and sauces were wonderfully crafted and the food was very delicious. The staff kindly accommodated our selfish requests, allowing us to have a comfortable meal. Thank you for the meal. The only request I have is that the door at the entrance of the Room opens inward, but the entrance is narrow and there is no space to take off shoes, which was inconvenient. Although it may be difficult, I think it would be more comfortable if the door could be changed to a sliding door.

    Satisfaction

    The meals, service, Onsen, Room, and amenities all had no negative points. The Room was new, clean, and pleasantly compact. The Onsen was always at the right temperature, allowing for a stress-free experience. At first, the spring quality made me wonder, "Is this an Onsen?" but after bathing, my body felt warm and I could feel its effects. The food was also delicious. I was touched to hear from the staff that they receive calls from suppliers saying, "We've got something good in."

    Excellent!

    When I found it on the IKYU site, I fell in love at first sight with this wonderful Hotel! I had high expectations, and I was a bit worried, but it was an amazing Hotel that exceeded my expectations. The staff were all smiles and provided wonderful service, and even the standard Room was sufficiently lovely and comfortable. The meals were also very elaborate and delicious Japanese cuisine. Even ingredients that I usually don't like and don't eat were cooked carefully without any unpleasant smell, so I enjoyed everything. Izumo is far from my home, so I had to leave early and couldn't stay until the 11 a.m. checkout, which was a shame because it was so comfortable that I wanted to stay longer.

    I went to enjoy the meal, but not only the meal, the Room, and the people were also very good. The meal was very delicious, the portion was just right, and since it was December, it was served in a Christmas style, so I had a very enjoyable meal.     As it is labeled as an "auberge," the meals for both dinner and breakfast were wonderful, and I was very satisfied with both the content and the quantity. I stayed for consecutive nights, and the meals were different each day with creative touches, making me feel almost guilty for being treated so well as a solo guest. The guest room was simple, yet the Facility was state-of-the-art, allowing for a very comfortable stay. A taxi was arranged for me, and the driver was kind, which was very helpful. If I visit during the peak crab season, I expect to enjoy even more amazing cuisine. I would love to visit again. Thank you very much.

    You can have the best time.

    It was a new and beautiful property. The exterior, interior, and room all created a refined space with a sense of warmth from the wood, allowing us to spend our time in a dreamlike state. The room had a stylish yet comfortable fusion of Japanese and Western elements, and with an onsen attached, we could relax at our leisure. All the meals for dinner and breakfast were delicious, using plenty of local ingredients, and we were delighted to enjoy game meat and turban shell. The combination of wagyu beef and shijimi clams was also delicious. It was wonderful to enjoy the dishes served in carefully selected tableware. It was nice to have the dessert after dinner in a different atmosphere at the BAR. The staff were friendly, and from the moment we checked in, they greeted us with such brightness that it seemed to blow away our fatigue, and we enjoyed chatting during meals. After checking out, not only the front desk staff but also the staff from the restaurant offered words of appreciation based on what we had talked about, which made us happy. We would love to stay again.

    It was a good Stays!

    I imagined Ryokan meals, so I was pleasantly surprised (laugh). The food was very delicious and heartfelt. Both dinner and breakfast were more than enough, which was a delightful surprise. The service from all departments was pleasant. There were no complaints about the Room's facilities and amenities. I even felt the attention to detail in the drinks in the refrigerator.     Very good Stays.

    Stylish Stays have become quite common recently, but in terms of the warmth of the staff, this Property is outstanding. The meals were very delicious, and pairing them with sake was a lot of fun. The bath is small, but very relaxing. Behind the luxury and quality, you can feel the warmth of the staff, making it a wonderful stay. I would love to stay again. I heard that the owner was involved in bridal services, and it made perfect sense. Adding hospitality and elegance to a person's special day within a long-standing tradition.

    Wonderful

    When I saw the exterior, I thought it was lovely, and when I entered through the automatic doors, I found it even more wonderful. It is a very charming hotel overflowing with the warmth of wood. The onsen in the room is also comfortable, with gentle light streaming through the shoji, creating a very soothing space. The meals were delicious. The dishes were not only tasty but also visually enjoyable, which made the drinks go down easily. However, I thought the portion size of the dinner could be a bit smaller! During my stay, I was grateful for the kind consideration of the staff and the connections made.

    As per the prior reviews, the meals, both dinner and breakfast, were truly delicious. The presentation and tableware were visually enjoyable, making us excited for what was next. Full satisfaction. The room amenities and cups were from Copenhagen, which was lovely. The only disappointment was that the shower room was very cold. The semi-open-air bath had a lower water temperature, so you can stay in for a long time.

    The best ever

    It's a shame that there are only five-star reviews. First of all, regarding the meals, the head chef personally selected the finest ingredients and presented them in the best way possible. Although the head chef was still young, the level was amazing. The attentiveness of the hall staff was also excellent, coordinating with the kitchen to serve the meals at the perfect timing. The explanations of the dishes were neither too long nor too short, making it easy to understand and providing the best time. The front staff also responded to our questions and requests with a smile (not a forced smile) and were very kind and attentive, providing us with truly the best time. Even though it took six hours by car, it was worth the trip. Thank you very much. We will definitely visit again. I have stayed at various hotels and ryokans through IKYU, but this was the best ever.
