    It was such a wonderful space!

    There were no negative points found in the service or Room. The Room was thoroughly cleaned and comfortable. The friendly yet polite and pleasant service was consistent among all staff. The food and drinks in the lounge were all delicious, as was breakfast! It was my birthday this time, and the towel cake celebration made me very excited! The attention to detail and care was truly wonderful! Thank you for an amazing time! I will visit again~!

    This was my second t...

    This was my second time using the Property. Thanks to the hospitality of all the staff, I had a very comfortable and enjoyable time. I appreciate your willingness to accommodate an additional person for our last-minute restaurant reservation. The surprise cake for the 60th birthday celebration was very delicious. Both dinner and breakfast were exceptionally tasty, making it a perfect stay in every way. I would love to stay here again. Thank you very much.

    It was a luxurious Hotel for women traveling together, which is quite rare in Kyoto.

    From the entrance that suggests a high-end Hotel, there is a cafe with free drinks including sparkling, red, and white wine, as well as cocktails. The food is plentiful enough to be considered a meal. Additionally, the top-floor bar offers a champagne-included Plan that will satisfy alcohol enthusiasts. The Room features interiors in Fauchon colors and an abundance of Fauchon sweets that you can take home. Thank you very much.

    Excellent!

    Stylish and impeccable service. The welcome drink came with a macaron, setting the tone for a luxurious experience. I was very satisfied with the Room's decor and the overall atmosphere of the Hotel. The location is excellent, within walking distance to Kiyomizu-dera Temple.

    Fauchon in Kyoto

    After a business trip, I visited for personal reasons. Two women. Fresh flower arrangements, the entire Room in pink and black, the ultimate collaboration Room. I felt the attention to detail, and everyone at the front desk, check-in/out, restaurant, and shop provided excellent service. The free-flowing sweets were not just for inbound tourists to Kyoto, but also highly satisfying for Japanese guests. I felt the world of Fauchon Hotel and its excellence. I will visit again.

    I had booked a plan ...

    I had booked a plan with dinner for my wife's birthday, but due to the sudden passing of my mother-in-law, I thought I would have to cancel the reservation. However, my sister and niece were able to stay instead, and I requested a last-minute change. I am grateful for accommodating the sudden request for a congratulatory message plate for my niece, who is graduating from university and starting a job this spring. Both my niece and sister were thrilled and delighted with the extraordinary stay experience and the luxurious French dinner. Unfortunately, we couldn't stay this time, but once the mourning period is over, we would love to stay again at another opportunity.

    It was delicious!

    I was very much looking forward to staying at the Property for the first time in three years. The meals were as wonderful as ever and met my expectations. What was disappointing, however, were the take-away sweets from the Room. I had memories from three years ago, so it was disappointing that there were no cakes, cookies, or chocolates. Yatsuhashi can be bought anywhere, so frankly speaking, I don't need them. Perhaps they could be tailored more towards foreign guests? Since I'm staying at Fauchon Hotel (Fōshon Hoteru), it's meaningful to stay because of Fauchon's original sweets. I like the atmosphere of the Hotel and would like to come back for lunch or afternoon tea again, but I've started to feel that maybe staying overnight is not necessary anymore.

    Thank you for the inspiration.

    I made a surprise reservation at the Fauchon Hotel for my friend who is battling cancer. On the day, we were upgraded to a better room and entered with maximum excitement. Everything in the room, from the bed to the desk, was cute, and my friend was excitedly taking lots of photos. Every dish served at dinner was delicious, and we enjoyed our drinks. For breakfast, it had to be croissants. We leisurely enjoyed them while taking in the best view. The surprise was a great success. Everyone treated us kindly, and I am grateful for that. We promised each other "Let's come again." Thank you very much indeed.

    Third stay. The gour...

    Third stay. The gourmet bar no longer had the impact it did during my first stay... a bit disappointing. However, the staff's smart service, delicious dinner and breakfast allowed me to refresh. Thank you for accommodating with the seasonal tote bag as well. I would like to visit again!

    Luxury Hotel

    As expected of Fauchon Hotel, the welcome drink (tea) and macarons were delicious and excellent! They also placed my luggage in the Room, which was very attentive. It's nice that the Hotel itself isn't too large for my age. The Room was coordinated in Fauchon colors, just as expected, and the rumored sweets exceeded expectations! Speaking of Kyoto, there's Yatsuhashi, but I was impressed by the Fauchon original. It was almost too beautiful to eat. They are particular about the water, which is impressive, because no matter how wonderful the tea is, it won't taste good if the water is bad. The washbasin faucet (gold) was so beautiful that I was confused by the right turn (laughs). It's understandable that there's no parking lot since it's in the city of Kyoto, but it would be nice to have a little more parking information.

    It was excellent.

    We arrived early and were planning to wait in the lobby, but we were kindly informed that our Room was ready. The welcome drink was delicious, and the staff's hospitality was excellent, making the four of us very satisfied. The meal was leisurely and it was a wonderful dinner. Thank you very much. We would love to visit again.

    Satisfied in every aspect.

    The other day, we used the hotel for our wedding anniversary. We have been visiting Kyoto almost every year for the past few years, but it was our first time staying at the Fauchon Hotel. We checked the interior and other details on the website beforehand and were filled with anticipation, but from the moment we stepped into the hotel, we were enveloped in a dazzling and unique atmosphere. Since we had informed them in advance that it was for our wedding anniversary, we were greeted with a lovely towel cake and a message in the room, and even a message plate with the dessert at dinner, which was a heartwarming gesture that touched both my wife and me. They even upgraded our room, and everything was impeccable hospitality. This time, we booked a plan with dinner and breakfast included, and as expected from the Fauchon brand, we were most looking forward to the meals, which were truly delicious. From the macarons and tea we received at the reception to the dinner course and the various breakfast items, everything was satisfyingly delicious. The portions were not too small, and the balance was just right, making us truly glad we chose this hotel. At night, we enjoyed a cake purchased from the boutique in our room, which was also delicious. It seemed like a dreamlike moment for my wife as well. It was a wonderful wedding anniversary. We definitely want to use it again.

    The perfect stay for gourmet girls.

    The hotel is easily accessible, just one meter by taxi from Shijo Kawaramachi, and the next bus stop from Shijo Kawaramachi is right in front of the hotel. Upon arrival, we enjoyed a relaxing welcome tea and macarons. Many of the staff were foreigners and spoke to us in English. An elderly person sitting next to us seemed surprised, so I think it would be better if the staff spoke Japanese. I wonder why English is used in a Japanese hotel. The Room appeared larger than expected, with large chairs and a table, making it perfect for two people to enjoy tea time. The Room's sweets box included cheese pie, financier, madeleine, yatsuhashi, nama yatsuhashi, cream sandwich cookies (refrigerated), and an eco-bag. These can be taken home. The contents seem to have changed from the photos on IKYU. Nonetheless, I was delighted to have so many Fauchon sweets included. Dinner was truly delicious French cuisine. With ingredients like Kyoto game, Noto local fish, and Amaou strawberries, the focus was on domestic and regional products, making it a gentle French meal that even my elderly mother could enjoy. The food, atmosphere, and even the tableware were of high quality. The breakfast the next morning also featured healthy ingredients like Kyoto eggs, milk, and bacon, and all the bread was delicious. The bath was spacious, and the amenities were more than sufficient. The shampoo and hand soap had a nice fragrance. The Room's TV has Chromecast, so you can cast mobile apps. However, the TV remote is very difficult to use. The buttons are hard to press, and the response is poor. I hope this can be changed. My mother was very pleased and asked when we would come again. All the staff were smiling and attentive to the guests. Thank you very much.

    The Room was spaciou...

    The Room was spacious and had a sense of cleanliness, which was excellent. However, every time I closed the shower room door, there was a loud popping sound, which was frightening. There were many snacks in the Room, and all of them were delicious. The light meals and breakfast in the lounge were also wonderful.

    Elegant Stay

    I stayed at the Property to celebrate my birthday. I was thrilled to have my Room upgraded from a Superior to a Prestige Suite. From check-in to check-out, I had the most wonderful time. During check-in, I was treated to delicious tea and macarons, and the Room even had a gourmet bar, making the experience truly luxurious. The Room was very spacious, with two TVs, a shower room, and a bathtub that I absolutely loved! I chose a Plan that included dinner and breakfast, and it was the perfect choice! The dinner course was beautifully presented and incredibly delicious. After dinner, they served a cake with a special plate that I had requested in advance. For breakfast, I was delighted to learn that the bread was refillable! The croissants and chocolate-filled bread were especially tasty. Additionally, the main egg dish was customizable, which was a nice touch! I’d love to try other options next time, so I definitely want to stay again!

    It was really great!

    It was all about Fauchon! The Room was cute and clean, and the sweets were more than I could eat. Of course, I took some home. The service was polite, and the meals were delicious. I was truly satisfied, but if I had to mention something, the faucet at the sink was a bit difficult to use as it turned both ways, possibly due to being foreign-style. Regarding amenities, as it seems to be the trend now, it would be nice if they asked at check-in whether they are needed, so there’s no need to call the front desk. It would also be amazing if the drinks in the fridge were complimentary. Still, it was truly a wonderful Hotel stay.

    It was like a dream.

    We visited as a group of three women for a New Year's gathering trip. To conclude, it was a wonderful experience! The tea and macarons we received at check-in, the Room's interior design, amenities, hairdryer, and every detail reflected the world of Fauchon. The gourmet bar's sweets and coffee—all of it was pure bliss. The staff's service was luxurious yet friendly, leaving a very positive impression. When we needed assistance adjusting the water level of the coffee maker in the Room, a staff member came promptly to help us. They fixed it immediately, which was very reassuring and helpful. We also enjoyed hearing about Kyoto from them. (He was a handsome gentleman, like a sharp-looking actor!) While Kyoto sightseeing and dining out were enjoyable, it was the first time we wanted to return to the Hotel so quickly to spend time in the Room. At checkout, we felt a bit sad that this wonderful time was coming to an end, but the souvenirs like sweets and an eco-bag made us very happy. We would love to visit again. Thank you very much.

    The staff were very kind and wonderful. I also enjoyed the delicious macarons and tea. The breakfast omelet was very much to my liking. My wife also said she would like to visit again, so I would definitely like to stay again if I have the opportunity.

    The interior is lovely.

    The lobby, floral arrangements, Room color scheme, and indirect lighting were lovely, allowing for a relaxing stay. The breakfast was beautifully presented, and all the drinks were delicious, which was impressive. The location is convenient for sightseeing, with a bus stop right in front and within walking distance to Kawaramachi and Kiyomizu-Gojo Station. The staff created an atmosphere where we felt their thoughtful consideration. The take-home sweets were also a nice touch to share with family as a souvenir. Thank you very much.

    Rejuvenated New Year

    Jiji 77, Baba 75, thank you for a wonderful day. The staff were kind, cheerful, and smart. We were soothed by the Fauchon colors. The lucky bag was a great deal!! See you again around the cherry blossom season~~~~ Thank you for the wonderful hospitality, the macarons were the best!!

    I stayed during the New Year holidays.

    It was our first stay, and my daughters were thrilled with the cute room. However, the bathtub was difficult to get into, which was disappointing despite the upgrade. Also, we used the club lounge access, but there were few snacks and canapés, and the staff did not offer to bring anything, making the selection and service quite modest for the price. Overall, the service was courteous, but after the final billing, there was no follow-up, and we were left waiting for nearly five minutes without reason, which was concerning. Given the high expectations from reviews and photos, it felt a bit underwhelming.

    Wonderful Hotel

    My daughter's arrival did not coincide with the restaurant's opening hours, so we were provided with dinner through room service. Despite the sudden change, they accommodated us willingly. As expected from the gourmet Fauchon, the dishes were visually appealing and all were delicious. Additionally, the service provided by the staff was excellent. It is not only stylish but also a comfortable hotel. I visit Kyoto every year during this season, and I would like to stay at the Fauchon Hotel again next year.

    Delicious cuisine

    This time, we had a plan with two meals included. The dinner was also very delicious, and we finished it completely. Not only was it tasty, but it was also very beautifully presented, which we enjoyed. Compared to the last time we stayed, the room amenities had decreased, but the pack was still available, so we used it. It's nice to be able to use the time saved by having meals prepared for you for such things, which is a unique aspect of hotel life. Since it's not a large hotel, it is very flexible, and we feel even more comfortable. We will visit again soon.

    I was looking forward to staying here as I had wanted to for a long time.

    There were many good points, but there were also many things that made me go "Huh?". It was nice to be able to take my time during check-in. When I entered the Room, it was cold, so cold... It was set to air conditioning. It was December, but it wasn't set to heating. There were no brochures or explanations in the Hotel or Room, and the TV remote was difficult to use... The Fauchon sweets were delicious. I ate a little and took some home. I left some behind. The pie was delicious. For dinner, my seat was on a sofa and was bright, but my companion's seat was dark, and the food was also in the dark. The after-dinner coffee was filled to the brim, so I couldn't add milk and gave up drinking it. This was the first time I've been to such a place. Was it wrong to order coffee at a Hotel of a tea brand (・・?) The cappuccino at breakfast was, on the contrary, a small amount (・・?) It was a strange experience. There were various other things, but I am satisfied to have stayed at the Hotel I wanted to stay at. I plan to visit the shop on the first floor when I'm nearby again. I also want to use the café.     It was a wonderful Hotel, but...

    It was a wonderful Hotel where you can fully enjoy Fauchon, from the interior to breakfast and the gourmet bar. I chose the Plan with lounge access, but there was no offering in the tiered box as introduced here. Also, during cocktail time and nightcap, there was no beer provided as stated in the Hotel's guide. Especially during the nightcap, there was no replenishment of sweets, and only the light snacks from cocktail time were removed. It was our fault for having high expectations because it was advertised as a Plan with lounge access, but if the content has changed, I wish they would change the introduction photos on the site or inform us by saying "this is not available" when handing over the guide.

    I stayed over a weekend in mid-December. The service was excellent, and I was able to enjoy a comfortable stay from the time of arrival to breakfast and check-out. What concerned me was that during check-in, the staff explained everything to a foreign guest, including the room number and the price, which was overheard by others. Even if it's in English, shouldn't such information be kept private? Since the property faces a main street, noise from motorcycles might be a concern on the lower floors. I couldn't use the lounge due to other commitments, so I would definitely like to use it next time.

    I visited the long-admired Fauchon Hotel. I was feeling a bit unwell and received various assistance, and the staff were very considerate, which was a great help. The Room was wonderful, and I was excited about the amenities and sweets. Lunch was also excellent. I was able to enjoy a luxurious time in the Room. I will visit again. Thank you very much.

    Birthday and Christmas

    I stayed for the first time with my daughter to celebrate both my birthday and Christmas. In fact, the day of our stay was my birthday! The room was as cute and clean as I expected, and we were able to relax comfortably! I thought the variety at the gourmet bar might have decreased compared to previous photos. There were no cookies, so I wanted to have some baked goods! I was worried about my daughter's picky eating at breakfast, but they accommodated changes in detail, and we enjoyed everything deliciously. There was plenty of food, and we were able to spend a leisurely breakfast time together, feeling satisfied. I really want to stay again! Thank you very much!
