    This was my first time experiencing the club lounge. The spa was very relaxing, and I was able to unwind at a leisurely pace. There were two lounges, and I enjoyed different dishes at each one. The illuminated garden at night was also wonderful.

    A comfortable Hotel.

    Close to the station, and the Room was clean and spacious. There were plenty of shelves, which was convenient, and I had a very comfortable stay. When I contacted the staff because I wanted some facial lotion, they kindly delivered it to my Room, which made me very happy. Thank you very much. Strolling through the Japanese garden was wonderful and very enjoyable. For dinner, we went to a Japanese restaurant and took our time. All of the staff were pleasant. It was a great Hotel.

    We really enjoyed our stay.

    We thoroughly enjoyed tea time, cocktail time, and a nightcap with Club Floor access. My wife was delighted to lounge-hop from the Shin-Takanawa lounge to the Takanawa lounge. The two of us started with beer and went on to shochu and whisky, along with great food—everything was excellent and we were very satisfied. The garden was beautiful as well, leaving us feeling refreshed and truly impressed. We were surprised by the quality, which was on par with luxury Hotel lounges. We would love to stay again.

    The service is excellent every time.

    I’m glad to hear the rebuild has been canceled. It’s still a clean, well-maintained Hotel that can continue to be used. However, I would like individual heating and cooling in the Room; it was cold at night. I was given a space heater, but using it together with the coffee maker tripped the breaker, and it took some time to restore—nothing could be done about that. When using the coffee maker, it’s best to turn off the space heater.\n\nI also visited Shimizu for Chinese food and sushi—both had excellent service and food. The wine was reasonably priced, and the sake was delicious. They manage guest information well here and provide things like ice and green tea—wonderful service. I’d like to come again.

    The breakfast buffet is always satisfying.

    I used Zakuro. I’ve stayed here many times, and the menu is just right. There’s a great variety of fruit and bread, and the ohagi was delicious. I’d like to use it again.

    The Room was clean, spacious, and comfortable. After check-in, I spent some time on the balcony watching Tokyo’s buildings and streets, as well as airplanes passing overhead. It was a relaxing stay away from my usual busy routine. The air conditioning was also set to a perfect temperature.

    A Different Room and Club Floor Than Expected

    I had imagined a resort-like atmosphere because every Room has a balcony, but judging from the desk, the Room’s color scheme, and the amenities, it felt more like a Hotel used mainly for business stays. For the bathroom, I requested a bath chair for my mother, who has weak legs and back, and it was very easy to use. They also accommodated my request regarding the Room location; however, as a first-time guest, I found the Hotel layout hard to understand. There was no concierge desk either, so I felt this is a Hotel that people who know it well tend to return to. On the club floor, draft beer was available from morning throughout the day, which would be perfect for beer lovers. The selection of sweets at tea time was also the smallest among any club floors I have used before and did not match my expectations. It reminded me that you don’t really know until you actually stay there. I think their reasonable pricing is possible because everything is rational and functional.

    Very satisfied

    I’m a local resident, but I stayed overnight for personal reasons. A Hotel with this much space (the building, the grounds, and the entire Room...) is truly rare in Tokyo. I also have childhood memories of coming here with my father when he went to the golf driving range, so it’s very sad to hear about the rebuilding (I’m glad it has been postponed). With breakfast included at this price, it felt almost unbelievable—I was completely satisfied with everything, including the service. I’d love to stay again if I get the chance!

    It was my birthday, ...

    It was my birthday, and you discreetly accommodated everything—an extended checkout time, my preferred Room, and a small gift—so I was able to relax and truly enjoy my time at the Hotel. It made for a wonderful birthday. I was a little disappointed that the menu item I had been looking forward to wasn’t available, but I will definitely stay again.

    This place is wonderful.

    This place is wonderful. They provided towels and amenities, and even brought a blood pressure monitor. The heating wasn’t working, so they gave me a space heater. I stayed at Prince Shin Takanawa this time, but I caught a cold and had severe diarrhea. I had a Reservation for Sushi Shimizu on my second day at the Prince Hotel, but I couldn’t go because it got so bad. I’m glad I had disposable underwear with me. When I called Sushi Shimizu, they arranged room service—thank you very much. There were also other kaiseki options. My cold symptoms have been severe, with diarrhea and fever. I didn’t have a fever on the first day, but when I got home on the third day my temperature went up to 38°C and I had a terrible headache. On top of that, I injured my knee ligament and can’t move at all—when it rains, it pours. On the first day we went to Le Trianon; we ordered different dishes for two people and shared them so we could try many items. It was excellent—very satisfying even with the more affordable menu options. The total was under 80,000 yen even after ordering two bottles of wine (one white and one red), which really made me realize how expensive the truffle course at the Imperial Hotel is. Well, no more luxury for me—I live on a pension of only 1.1 million yen per year, which isn’t enough to live on. My knee hurts from the ligament injury, and it looks like my eyes, hemorrhoids, and heart will need surgery too… everything has hit me over these past ten years; I’ve pushed myself too hard. I’d like to come back to Prince Shin Takanawa again for dining. Breakfast on the club floor is also excellent.

    It was noisy all night.

    I stay here from time to time, but on this occasion I was on the same floor as what seemed to be a group of Indian guests. The Room next door kept the balcony and door half open and talked loudly past midnight, so I couldn’t sleep until late at night. I would have appreciated it if you could have placed group guests and individual guests in separate areas.

    The Room and bathroo...

    The Room and bathroom feel a bit dated, so I would be happy if they were renovated. The service is very kind and good overall. It’s close to Shinagawa Station, but the hill is steep, so it can be quite tiring if you have a lot of luggage. Compared with Hotels around Tokyo Station, it’s reasonably priced, so I think it offers good value for money.

    The Japanese garden is beautiful.

    The Japanese garden is truly wonderful. There are also many restaurants, so you have plenty of options. However, they may be short-staffed—whenever I tried to ask something at the front desk, everyone seemed busy and I couldn’t get anyone to stop and help.

    Being understaffed at check-in is not good.

    Despite it being a busy day, there were not enough staff at the front desk. In addition, the staff member assisting us kept leaving—perhaps to handle various requests. Also, foreign guests approached from the side without lining up, and the same staff member handled them as well. We were about 5th or 6th in line, but ended up waiting for around an hour. Even though we chose this Hotel to relax, it caused significant stress right from the start. Please reconsider your front desk staffing during peak hours.

    Wonderful

    I stayed for a Multiple Night Stay (2 nights) with my elderly mother. The lobby was spacious, with plenty of sofas. We enjoyed high tea at Momiji, and to celebrate our grandchild’s first birthday, both families had a lunch at the Japanese restaurant Shimizu. For breakfast as well, we were able to dine mostly within the Hotel—at Zakuro and Shimizu—and all of the meals were truly delicious. In particular, the hospitality from the staff at Shimizu was outstanding. We stayed in a triple room, and even the third bed was comfortable. The room was very clean, and we had a pleasant stay. This may have been my mother’s last trip to Tokyo due to her age, but she was very happy to be able to meet her great-grandchild and relax during our stay. Thank you very much for your kind care.

    The table was dirty, there were several long hairs on the sofa, the walls were thin so voices in the hallway could be clearly heard at night, the bed was hard, and the toilet flush lever was old and took a while to flush.

    To celebrate my mother’s birthday as well.

    We stayed for two nights, and the lovely Room made my mother very happy. I have been staying here since my student days; although the building is old, it is beautifully built, with spacious Rooms and a large garden. The shuttle bus also makes it easy to relax and unwind at this Hotel. My friends from overseas enjoy it as well, and I also stay here whenever I am in Tokyo. It has always been a wonderful Hotel, just as it has been for years.

    One of my favorite H...

    One of my favorite Hotels. At the Shin-Takanawa lounge, you can enjoy draft beer anytime. I really like that you can use two lounges—Shin-Takanawa and Takanawa. Each has its own selection of food and alcohol, so it’s fun to compare. There is also an Onsen, a sauna, and massage chairs, making it easy to relax.

    This is my first visit.

    Since this Hotel is scheduled to be demolished within the year, I wondered whether writing a Review would matter much. I stopped by before check-in to leave my luggage. However, the female staff member at the bell desk was awful, and I was irritated from the moment I arrived. There was no “welcome,” no smile—she actually looked angry. For someone in hospitality, she had long nails with lots of beaded nail art, which looked completely inappropriate. It left me with the impression that Prince does not provide proper staff training. She probably doesn’t understand how important it is to welcome and see off guests—and how much that can affect a trip. The other staff members were average. Not particularly great. That said, the female cook at the breakfast egg station had a wonderful smile and greeted me with a smile when I left. The uphill walk from Shinagawa Station to the Hotel was tougher than expected. It’s one stop from below Zakurozaka, and there is a Toei bus you can take; or if you can use the Toei Asakusa Line, access from Takanawadai is easier. I expected it to feel quite old since it’s being demolished soon, but it didn’t—it actually felt like a shame to tear it down. The Sakura Tower whirlpool bath massaged my lower back and soles of my feet and was very comfortable. Also, there are no skincare amenities in the Room, so don’t forget to bring your own. There were no cotton pads or shower cap either. The Sakura Tower bathroom had various amenities, and the hair dryer was ReFa.

    I visited to reminisce about the area around Takanawa, which is undergoing redevelopment. The room was carefully maintained, and I had a comfortable stay. Being able to take a walk in the garden is also one of this Hotel’s attractions. It was a bit disappointing that the oyakodon at the breakfast buffet had hardened, but everything else was delicious.

    I felt refreshed.

    The Club Lounge bar time at Shinagawa Prince Hotel New Takanawa was very relaxing, and the breakfast was delicious. With the Club Floor benefits, I could use the spa at Sakura Tower, and strolling through the garden was also wonderful. I’ll definitely come again.

    Club Floor Lounge Hopping

    I stayed here to experience lounge hopping and was very satisfied. The lounge at Shin-Takanawa in particular was a calm, relaxing space. I didn’t have high expectations for the lounge breakfast, but it was excellent. At both Shin-Takanawa and Takanawa, I couldn’t find the entrance to the club lounge at first and wandered around a bit before asking a staff member. Everyone was very pleasant, and I was able to spend my time feeling truly relaxed and pampered. From the Shuttle Service to the Hotel through checkout, it was a wonderful stay. The Room also impressed me—Tokyo Tower right in front of me. I’d love to stay again.

    As expected of the Prince Hotel

    I stayed during the very busy Golden Week period, but the staff were excellent and the food was delicious. I would like to stay here again when I visit Tokyo.

    A Hotel in central Tokyo where you can relax and enjoy a comfortable stay.

    The Room is spacious, and being able to get some fresh air outside is a big advantage. The view of Tokyo Tower was great. Most guests are international. There were many Western guests, and I felt the manners were good. (No cutting in line, keeping quiet, being considerate, etc.) Toiletries are not provided in the Room unless you request them. Requests are possible. Also, the nightwear is a one-piece style; if you prefer pants as well, you can request that too. I usually choose a Hotel that is directly connected to or close to the station, but from Shinagawa Station there is an elevation change on the way to the Hotel, so it feels farther than expected. (There may be a Shuttle Service loop bus.) It may not be an issue for those traveling by car or taxi, though.

    Quiet and cozy

    It was my first stay in a while, and the Accommodation had a comfortable number of guests, with no noise—quiet, cozy, and very pleasant. The staff service was polite and easy to understand. Since payment was made in advance at check-in, I expected checkout to be quick, but I wasn’t sure how to use the machine, so I think checkout would have been smoother if there had been someone available to guide me.

    Thank you for a comfortable stay.

    They prepared lovely flowers for us upon arrival for our celebration trip and arranged a wonderful Room with a full view of Tokyo Tower. Thanks to the warm welcome at check-in and thoughtful attention to detail, we had a fun and memorable stay. We sincerely appreciate it and look forward to visiting again.
