    A Trusted, Long-Established Hotel

    I stayed on the Club Floor. The staff at the front desk and in the club lounge were kind and courteous. The Room felt appropriately aged for its years, but it was well cleaned. The view was wonderful, with Tokyo Tower visible. As for the club lounge, after actually using it, I questioned the 45-minute time limit. First, the food is cleared away too early. Even if not all items are offered until nightcap time, it would be better to continue offering some selection. What stood out most was guests bringing in non-staying visitors. One reason for the crowding is that some guests bring multiple people who are not staying at the Accommodation into the lounge. This should be properly checked and addressed (it’s essentially unpaid consumption). If handled appropriately, there may be no need for a 45-minute limit as a result. Overall I was satisfied, but this point alone felt unpleasant from a paying guest’s perspective.

    This was my first return in a while, but I canceled my Multiple Night Stay.

    This was my first stay in over five years. I had used this Hotel several times back then and remembered it positively, so I chose to stay again for convenient airport access. However, both the Facility condition and service were extremely disappointing. Right after arriving in the Room, I canceled my Multiple Night Stay for the following day and moved to another Hotel. After arriving by shuttle bus, I went to the front desk to check in. Although three female staff members were there, none of them looked at me or acknowledged me; they just continued operating their terminals silently. Thinking check-in might be self-service only, I tried using the check-in machine, but it showed an error and I had to return to the front desk—an unnecessary extra step. There were no other guests at the counter and all three staff members were present, so at minimum I expected a greeting or some kind of acknowledgment when a guest approached. Because I had sent luggage to the Hotel in advance, I went to the bell counter. They asked whether I wanted to carry a 140-size cardboard box up to my Room myself. They did not even place my hand luggage on a cart—I was holding everything—so I could not understand why they thought it would be reasonable for me to carry such a large box myself. The Room was dimly lit, and there was no light inside the closet at all. There was also little lighting around it; since I arrived at night, it was pitch-dark inside and difficult even to hang clothes. There was no solution offered—only an apology/explanation that there was nothing they could do. In addition, the chair upholstery was torn and hanging underneath, there were many noticeable stains on the walls, no children’s slippers or amenities had been prepared at all, and the ice machine on our floor was broken. Overall, it felt lacking in basic cleanliness standards and essential Facilities expected of a Hotel. Because both service and Facilities were so unpleasant, I canceled my Multiple Night Stay for the next day immediately. However, when checking out the next morning, front desk staff told me that cancellation had not been reflected on their side. The cancellation had already been completed in my system account from the previous night as well, so there also seemed to be an issue with how their system updates cancellations. Precisely because my past stays were good memories, it was very disappointing to see how clearly this Hotel’s quality has declined over time. Even among older established Hotels in Tokyo with similar age/building conditions (and often higher rates), many are kept comfortable through proper upkeep/maintenance and consistently high-quality service.

    A Hotel featuring the magnificent architecture of Togo Murano

    We stayed here for a summer staycation. We chose a Room with a Tokyo Tower view, and the scenery framed by the delicate white veranda designed by Togo Murano was outstanding both day and night. And then there’s my favorite bar, Asama. The attentive service, the comfortable sofa seating and spacious atmosphere, the delicious cocktails, and the consistently satisfying spaghetti Bolognese—everything was wonderful. It’s a Hotel that makes you want to come back just for this alone.

    Peak-Season Summer Vacation Stays

    I usually stay around the Main Tower of Shinagawa Prince Hotel, but there were no rooms available, so I stayed at Grand Prince Hotel Shin Takanawa. When going from Sakura Tower to T-Joy, I used the courtyard and the corridors of Shin Takanawa, but in the heat it felt like a long walk up Zakurozaka from Shinagawa Station. Still, the Facility was excellent and I had a comfortable stay. The breakfast buffet had a wide variety of options, and I ended up eating too much. I’d like to stay again.

    Relaxing date on the Club Floor

    Stayed one night on the Club Floor from Saturday. The Club Lounge offered tea time, cocktail time, and nightcap service, and none of these time slots felt noticeably crowded. The staff’s attentive hospitality was excellent. The Sakura Tower spa was also not crowded, with a calm atmosphere where I could truly relax. For dinner, I made a Reservation at the in-house Japanese restaurant Shimizu, and I really appreciated how perfectly they handled my advance requests. The only disappointment was that the bathroom cleaning in the room was not thorough; grime had built up around the temperature control knob and inside the washbasin. Breakfast was smooth with no crowds, which was nice, but the selection was limited. The chef at the egg station was very courteous even while busy. I would definitely like to visit again on another occasion.

    A girls’ sleepover reunion after 30 years

    We held a girls’ overnight get-together for the first time in 30 years. The three of us came from Shonan, Kansai, and Tokyo, so a Hotel in Shinagawa was convenient. Another deciding factor was that they arranged a triple Room with three beds, which is rare these days for three people staying together. It’s a bit old, but with the discount, we were satisfied.

    Birthday celebration

    We stayed here to celebrate an 80th birthday. We booked four Club Floor Rooms and stayed with seven family members. The Hotel kindly prepared surprise gifts for the celebration—sparkling wine, honey hand cream, and an adorable bear-shaped towel—and we are very grateful. With the Club Lounge hopping, we were able to enjoy both tea time and cocktail time at both Takanawa Prince Hotel and Grand Prince Hotel Shin Takanawa, which was very satisfying. We also fully enjoyed complimentary access to the Sakura Tower spa and Diamond Pool. We would like to stay again.

    We stayed as a group...

    We stayed as a group of three for a girls’ trip. The Room felt safe and comfortable, though it did feel a bit old. It was a little disappointing to see some peeling wallpaper. However, the price was good, so we would like to stay again.

    We had a relaxing stay.

    The first floor of the Hotel was wonderful. I stopped by many times between club lounge visits and relaxed in the lobby. Of course, I really enjoyed visiting the club lounge. The sauna and whirlpool bath were very relaxing. I understand it will be open next year, but I would like to visit once more before demolition work begins.

    A quiet, ideal location close to Shinagawa Station.

    While searching around Shinagawa Station, I found this place in the results. The Room was spacious and the bathroom was also large. In Tokyo, it’s extremely difficult to find a reasonably priced Hotel with 15 m² or more, so getting a Hotel of this quality at this price was excellent. However, because I checked in late, I needed some light snacks and drinks, but there was no convenience store nearby and there was no shop or vending machines in the Hotel, so I ended up walking to Shinagawa Station. That was the only disappointing point.

    Club Lounge Services

    The Room was spacious and well equipped, but I’d like to see the club lounge improved a bit. This time I stayed for work, so I only used the club lounge for breakfast and during the nightcap hours. During the nightcap hours, however, the selection of whisky and snacks was extremely limited, which was honestly disappointing. Some foreign guests were even taking beers away in bags, which didn’t look good. (It may be because there were so few snacks that people felt it would be better to buy snacks at a convenience store and enjoy them back in their Room.) I’ve stayed in club rooms at other hotels several times, so it was a shame—especially since the Room facilities and design were excellent. I feel this club lounge should be enhanced and improved.

    A Hotel with an Enjoyable Japanese Garden

    My mother and I stayed here as a party of two. The club floor was spacious and relaxing. At breakfast, I was impressed by how carefully the omelet was prepared. The view from our Room was also wonderful. The garden was large, and we enjoyed taking a walk there. The shuttle bus from the station was very helpful. Thank you very much.

    Long holidays can be surprisingly busy.

    After walking a few minutes from the station in the blazing heat with luggage, I felt dizzy after being made to stand in line for over 20 minutes at check-in. I understand it was crowded because of the holiday weekend, but since you should have been able to anticipate the number of guests, I wondered why there wasn’t a better strategy—such as setting up a temporary counter or offering check-in at the club lounge. With this extreme heat likely to continue for more than two months, I think measures are needed; otherwise some guests may feel unwell, and in the end it will create more trouble for the Hotel. Although it is an older property, both the lobby and the Room were kept clean and that was nice. However, I was disappointed that the placement of outlets in the Room wasn’t conducive to relaxing. I suppose that can’t be helped... This stay was to celebrate my friend’s birthday, so thank you for your thoughtful gesture. The lounge-hopping Plan was excellent, and I would like to use it again. Thank you for your hospitality.

    Facilities and Room Service

    I wanted to watch streaming services such as U-NEXT and Amazon Prime on the in-room TV, but it was not a compatible model. I also wanted to dine in the room via room service, but there was no room service available, which was inconvenient.

    The seasoning of the food in the Club Room is

    When I stay here, I usually book a club room, but I was disappointed because the cocktail-time food at the Takanawa location (Chinese?) didn’t suit my taste. The club rooms here are much cheaper than at other hotels, so I understand to some extent, but since the selection is limited, I wish they would focus more on quality and flavor.

    A Luxurious Club Floor Getaway—Perfect for a Special Occasion Surprise!

    Grand Prince Hotel Shin Takanawa To the Front Desk and Lounge Team, Thank you always for your kind support. Thank you very much for taking such great care of us during our recent stay. As this was an anniversary trip, I contacted you in advance, and on the day you surprised us with a wonderful message card as well as gifts of hand cream and a mini towel. I was truly touched by your thoughtfulness—thank you so much. Thanks to you, it became a memorable and wonderful anniversary. Once again, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay on the club floor. In particular, the jacuzzi and sauna at “The Prince Sakura Tower Tokyo” are an essential moment of relaxation for me, and this time as well we had a consistently satisfying experience. I am looking forward to our next stay even more, and as a repeat guest, I would like to share just one request—only if possible: - During tea time, I would love to enjoy hotel-made baked sweets and cakes in the lounge. Also, for the Takanawa tea-time pancakes, it would be even nicer if whipped cream or butter were served on the side. - At breakfast, if we could also have Takanawa’s curry in the Shin Takanawa lounge, it would make breakfast even more appealing. I apologize for making these requests; they are simply wishes from someone who is truly a fan of your Hotel. I have already completed my next Reservation as well.     We were able to enjoy a truly luxurious stay.

    Both the lobby and the Room felt spacious overall—calm, spotless, and extremely comfortable. The desk, bed, and windows were all a comfortable size and well positioned. In particular, the pillows were on the lower side, which fit me perfectly—I was genuinely impressed. This time I booked a Plan that included access to the club lounge and the spa at The Prince Sakura Tower Tokyo. Since the route to the spa is connected through the garden, I could also enjoy views of the beautifully maintained grounds. The spa provides towels as well, so it was very convenient to use without bringing anything. I initially couldn’t find where the club lounge was and wandered around a bit, but once inside it had a calm atmosphere with plenty of space to relax. Being able to enjoy everything—the Hotel, garden, club lounge, and spa—made for an incredibly luxurious stay. Thank you very much for your hospitality.

    We stayed on Sunday ...

    We stayed on Sunday as a family of four. When we previously visited for a meal, we loved the garden and had always wanted to stay someday. We enjoyed relaxing conversation in the lounge at Shin-Takanawa Hotel, then took a walk through the garden and headed to the Takanawa lounge next. The chilled craft beer and snacks were delicious. We had a wonderful time. After that, we used the sauna & blower bath on B1 of Sakura Tower. It was clean, and having both room-temperature and cold drinking water available made it very comfortable. However, when I used the provided hair dryer, it was very loud. Perhaps because 4–5 people were drying their hair at once or because the sound echoed off the partition panels, it was hard on our ears, so my daughter and I went back to our Room to finish drying our hair. Some guests also took breaks while drying. Other than that, everything was excellent. We would definitely like to stay again. Thank you for your hospitality.

    The service is always excellent.

    Thank you as always. This is the only Hotel that provides a blood pressure monitor, and the view from the balcony is wonderful. The service and hospitality are also excellent. However, this time again the Room was cold, and the air conditioning in the club lounge was extremely cold as well. I asked to raise the temperature and received a blanket, but it was still cold—though by the third day it was comfortable. This time, I thought Shimizu’s yakitori service and atmosphere were excellent; it’s a very good-value course. Le Trianon also has wonderful service and atmosphere; I heard it was used in a SoftBank commercial and filmed late at night. I would like to come again. Thank you as well for the great service from the male staff at bell/front desk.

    The lobby is especially wonderful.

    It’s easy to find—just walk up Zakurozaka from Shinagawa Station. The guest rooms do show their age, but the lobby décor evokes a charming, classic atmosphere. If you take time to look at the artwork and even the decorative elevator doors, you could easily spend quite a while. The rooms are spacious and kept clean, making this a great choice for travelers who mainly need a place to sleep but want something more comfortable than a typical Business Hotel.

    Convenient for everything.

    Check-in and check-out are handled by a machine, so it was quick and convenient. Also, a shuttle circulates among the four Prince Hotels around Shinagawa Station every 20 minutes, so you can use it to visit other Hotels as well. The Room was spacious and clean, which was great, but it was disappointing that there were no cleansing products or skincare items like toner.

    Black stains and mold in the corners of the bathroom and washbasin were left as they were and had not been cleaned. The shower pressure was too strong, causing water to leak outside the curtain. The first-floor restroom was not cleaned. There was a long line for luggage storage, and it took time because no staff were available to assist. Overall, this was very disappointing. It may be due to a staffing shortage.

    I love it.

    I love the lobby’s oriental atmosphere. The garden is lovely too. The pomegranate at breakfast and dinner at Kokiden are both outstanding. This time I stayed for two nights, so at Kokiden I enjoyed a course meal on the first day and à la carte dishes—like my favorite gomoku tsuyu soba—on the second. The sesame balls, which aren’t included in the course dessert, are amazing.

    We enjoyed the lounge!

    The main purpose of this trip was to enjoy the lounges. Although it rained unfortunately, we were able to enjoy two lounges. We also appreciated the umbrellas provided at the entrance to the garden. There were both Japanese-style and Western-style lounges, but we would have been even happier if there had been whipped cream or ice cream to go with the pancakes. Even after breakfast, we still enjoyed some snacks. We will stay again around this time next year!

    Poor housekeeping, unpleasant odors, and insect bites.

    When I checked in and tried to tap the Room key card, the door was already open. It seemed to be catching, possibly because the door was warped. When I entered the Room, it smelled dusty and it was hot, so I opened the window and used deodorizer spray. Even if I changed the set temperature, it kept reverting. It was so hot that even I—someone who gets cold easily—felt uncomfortable. When I lay down on the bed, there was an odor. My legs started itching, and my calves turned red as if I had been bitten by some kind of insect. My arms as well. There was something brown stuck to the carpet—large enough that it should have been impossible to miss during cleaning—and it had been left there as is. I should have asked to change Rooms. It was a Room far from the elevator. I could relax in the club lounge, but each time I visit, its offerings feel more disappointing. The Diamond member benefits were good. However, the cleaning was extremely disappointing. I would like Japanese staff to do a proper final check. In any case, it smells terrible!!! A Room where you can’t relax at all.

    A prestigious Hotel

    It’s a very elegant, luxurious Hotel, and the lobby was spacious and relaxing, making it very comfortable to stay. Unfortunately, it rained due to a typhoon, but the Room was also spacious and allowed us to unwind. Next time, I’d like to dine here as well. If the weather had been clear, we probably could have seen Tokyo Tower and enjoyed a beautiful night view. When I visit Tokyo again, I’d like to choose this Hotel once more. Thank you very much.

    This was my first ti...

    This was my first time experiencing the club lounge. The spa was very relaxing, and I was able to unwind at a leisurely pace. There were two lounges, and I enjoyed different dishes at each one. The illuminated garden at night was also wonderful.
