    I was bitten by mites on the room sofa.

    The building is old, which is understandable, but getting bitten by mites on the sofa and needing staff assistance to use the TV's HDMI port were inconvenient. The distance from the Room to the breakfast venue is also quite long. However, the staff were very kind.

    Bright and Comfortable Rooms

    I always stay in the Jr. Suite Twin Room. It is comfortable and bright, and I love the view of the Japanese garden and Tokyo Tower from the window. I also like the guest room itself. The staff are kind and pleasant, which is why I always choose to stay at Hotel New Takanawa. It is also convenient for getting to Haneda Airport.

    It was my first time...

    It was my first time using this facility, and I found the atmosphere in the lobby and the staff's service to be excellent, creating a pleasant space. I enjoyed an early dinner at Momiji in a relaxing seat with views of the garden and waterfall. The Room was spacious and comfortable, making it easy to relax. With its great convenience, I would like to stay here again when visiting Tokyo.

    Beyond expectations

    It was a last-minute decision to book this accommodation without much prior knowledge, but the staff's hospitality was excellent, the view was great, the room was very functional, and despite the reasonable price, it offered comfort beyond that of a luxury hotel. I would love to stay here again.

    Check-in

    I lined up at the row labeled Lounge Accommodation during check-in. There was only one staff member handling it, and whenever someone came to the members' line, they were prioritized, which made me wait a long time. I was disappointed as the general line moved faster. Additionally, lounge access also involved a long wait, and with only 45 minutes of use allowed, I couldn't relax properly.

    Lounge Access

    I visited two lounges for hopping and was surprised to hear there was a wait time of 33 groups and 330 minutes. Eventually, I was called in about an hour and a half, but many guests had poor manners. The person next to me wore Room slippers, and someone else stuffed about 10 canned drinks into their bag. I don't think I'll go again.

    Relax in the Club Lounge

    Earlier this year, I stayed in a Club Room in Takanawa and enjoyed lounge hopping. During that time, I was impressed by the elegant atmosphere of the lobby at Shin-Takanawa and decided to stay there next time. The Tokyo Tower Side Corner Twin Room was spacious enough with a beautiful view. The construction site across from the hotel was conveniently blocked from view by the balcony. The lush garden features a pond with koi fish, popular among international guests, and its nighttime illumination is stunning. For the lounge experience, my family preferred the sweets and food at Hanamiyabi in Takanawa, so we mostly used it except for breakfast. We were even more satisfied with it compared to our previous visit. During our last stay's breakfast, a repeat guest at a neighboring table mentioned how delicious their curry was. Intrigued, I tried it then and found it indeed tasty; I looked forward to having it again this time for breakfast. Fortunately, Shin-Takanawa’s lounge also offered it; however, as it seemed to be served as an omelet sauce substitute in small portions, they ran out quickly—slightly disappointing. Overall though, we had another relaxing stay and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves!

    Birthday

    Good morning, Apologies for the delay in leaving a Review. We stayed again this year for my second daughter's birthday, just like last year. It was the same Shin-Takanawa Prince Hotel, but we were very satisfied with a slightly larger Room compared to last year. Despite the extremely hot day, the evening garden stroll and the greenery of the garden from the balcony in the morning were truly soothing. Overall, we were very satisfied; however, as an IKYU Diamond Member benefit, we had arranged for a late check-out by one hour. Yet before 12 PM, we received a call from housekeeping urging us to check out. At check-in, it was confirmed that late check-out was possible, so this came as quite a surprise. When I mentioned this at check-out time, I was informed that there had been some miscommunication among staff and received an apology. However, since it was my daughter's birthday celebration and we wanted to leave the Hotel on a positive note as a family, this part of our experience was quite disappointing.

    The club lounge was spacious and very comfortable.

    The expansive garden is beautifully lit up at night, creating a magical and stunning atmosphere—perfect for photos. The spa includes a mist sauna, and we would love to visit again as a family. However, check-in took some time; with around 10 groups including international guests, only three female staff members were available, leading to a wait of approximately 45 minutes.

    Urban Resort

    I previously stayed on the Club Floor and was impressed by the artistic and health-conscious menu unique to the Hotel, which provided a relaxing experience. The garden, featuring bamboo lighting inspired by Japanese aesthetics, a glowing large moon, and koi fish in the morning pond, made for an enjoyable walk. The tower's blower bath and zero-gravity massage chair also helped me feel rejuvenated. Thank you for a valuable stay.

    It's really nice!

    Stayed for 2 nights in mid-August and booked another 1-night stay at the end of the month when I had some free time. It’s always a great experience here. Noticed many people dressed in Giants gear... Oh, it seems former Giants players Matsui and Takahashi are here for a Weekly Baseball talk session—what a treat for fans! During Obon, check-in was crowded, but this time it went smoothly. My room was upgraded to a higher category—thank you! The housekeeping staff were international, but perhaps because it wasn’t as busy as Obon, everyone greeted me warmly. It felt very pleasant. The heat has eased slightly at night, and I enjoyed Takanawa Nijuurokuya festivities. The hotel’s lounge at night is also wonderful... Unlike the daytime bustle, it was serene and allowed me to escape from my usual work routine into an extraordinary atmosphere. Now back to work—I’ll definitely return again soon! Once you get used to this place, it feels like home. Had a very comfortable stay!

    Enjoyed a delightful stay on the club floor after a long time.

    Stayed on the club floor after several years. Enjoyed a relaxing bath and lounge hopping. Also took a stroll through the garden. Had a wonderful time enjoying the last summer holiday in the city. Would love to visit again!

    Cozy and Comfortable Space

    Since becoming a Diamond Member of IKYU.com last month, an additional service of a 1-hour late check-out was applied at our Hotel. As it was an overnight stay before attending the party in the "Hiten" room, I appreciated being able to prepare leisurely in the morning. The view from the balcony was great, and the Room was spacious, bright, and clean, making for a comfortable stay. Highly recommended.

    One side only.

    Reserved 2 rooms, but one room did not have the brown cover that allows placing feet with shoes on the bed. The air conditioner was not working well.

    I had a very comfortable stay!

    Stayed at the accommodation on the day of the dinner show. The room was spacious, and the bed was comfortable! The table and sofa were arranged with plenty of space, providing a relaxed atmosphere. There were three mirrors, including a portable magnifying mirror, and a full-length mirror which was very helpful! It was convenient to have trash bins and tissues provided in both the room and bathroom.

    A slightly better Business Hotel

    Prince Hotel had a clean image, but the bathtub had a lot of grime, so I only used the shower. I wanted to relax in the bathtub during my stay, but it was disappointing... Perhaps because it's an inbound-focused hotel, they might not pay much attention to the bath area. The food was delicious, which made it even more disappointing. While I understand it's challenging with many rooms, I wouldn't mind paying a bit more if they could ensure better cleaning of the water facilities.

    A wonderful Hotel.

    I stayed at the accommodation with a friend for a live event. My friend had visited this hotel a long time ago, and when we asked some questions during check-in, despite the late hour, the woman at the front desk kindly and thoroughly explained everything with a smile. It left us with an excellent first impression of this hotel. The room we stayed in was spacious, and after the live event, it provided great comfort to our tired bodies. We were able to relax quietly and peacefully. My friend also loved it and mentioned that we should revisit this hotel whenever we come to Tokyo. I would love to stay here again. Thank you very much!

    The bathroom is inconvenient to use, and the breakfast is not tasty.

    The balcony is appealing, but the bathroom layout is inconvenient. The bathtub is located right next to the door, and the shower cannot be contained with just a curtain, causing water to flood the entrance. Improvements such as adding a glass partition would be appreciated. The buffet-style breakfast was disappointing as none of the items—bread, salad, eggs, or fruits—were tasty.

    I arrived earlier than the check-in time, but since the Room was ready, I was allowed to enter. As I had work immediately after check-in, even a short amount of time was very much appreciated. I am grateful for the courteous assistance from the front desk staff.

    The hotel has become outdated.

    The entrance of Takanawa Prince is beautiful, but the Room, especially the bathroom, has a musty smell and strong odor from the pipes. The entire bathroom feels old, with rusty drains that seem decades old. Honestly, I don't feel like staying here again. It's disappointing. The meals are average—neither particularly good nor bad. However, for those who prefer Japanese-style breakfast at the buffet, it might not be ideal. While I didn’t visit Shimizu restaurant and can’t comment on it, the buffet offers limited options that pair well with Japanese cuisine and seems more suited for those who enjoy bread-based meals. Also, I found it odd that there was staff standing near the miso soup and rice station without actually serving or assisting guests—it made serving rice a bit inconvenient! It would be better if they weren’t standing there unnecessarily!

    The chef's dishes are delicious.

    This time, there was a party at another hotel, so we only used the club lounge in the morning. My father mentioned that the chef's omelets and beans were absolutely delicious. However, he also said that walking to the bath was tough for elderly people and that its depth made it feel like one could almost drown. This reservation was made on behalf of my father and mother. Thank you very much.

    The service is unsatisfactory.

    When I went to the restroom at the breakfast venue and returned, my meal was cleared away even though I hadn't finished. It was disappointing to see someone else already dining at my favorite seat. At the front desk, I asked for directions to Sengakuji Temple. While they eventually found a map, they told me to go to another location (perhaps the cloakroom?) instead of bringing it to where I was waiting. I believe it’s standard practice for staff to bring such items directly to guests, but is this Hotel's usual approach? Disappointing service. When leaving the bath, water had spilled onto the floor and even soaked into the carpet outside—a disappointing Facility issue. Both customer service and Facilities were frustratingly inadequate throughout my stay.

    Although there was a pause during the pandemic, I have been spending my birthday once a year at either the Grand Prince or Sakura Tower, enjoying time by the poolside. Last year's price increase was disappointing, but this year it has settled within an acceptable range, which is reassuring. The pool seems to have shifted its focus towards families, making it a bit lively with many children around. However, it's an ideal environment to enjoy a resort-like atmosphere just 30 minutes from home. The pool staff are professional and attentive, adding to the peaceful and pleasant experience.

    The air conditioning...

    The air conditioning in the Room works well, which is very helpful. While I prefer the menu and taste at Takanawa's club lounge, I love the suite Rooms at Shin-Takanawa, so I hope for further improvements. It would be even better if breakfast could be chosen not only at the club lounge but also at the first-floor restaurant like before.
