    Thank you for your kind support during our stay.

    We stayed on the club floor. As other Reviews have mentioned, we were generally satisfied with the overall service. If I had one complaint, it would be the bed-making and Room cleaning during our Multiple Night Stay. This was the first time in my life to stay in a club Room where there was no bed runner or bolster cushion prepared. Even though another Room had them, I was disappointed that they were not provided in the Room we booked as an IKYU Diamond member—and this happened on both nights. In addition, housekeeping during our Multiple Night Stay was not done even after 3:00 p.m., which I found unacceptable. I strongly hope for improvement.

    Enjoy a Hotel, pool, and sauna in the city center this summer

    Having access to the Sakura Tower sauna with Club Floor privileges is excellent, especially the mist sauna. The main bar, Asama, is outstanding in terms of drinks, food, service, and atmosphere. It was a wonderful stay where I could fully enjoy the Hotel designed by Togo Murano, as well as the banquet halls and pool.

    Front desk service

    I arrived a little early, but since I had plans afterward and would be returning to the Hotel late, I wanted to leave my luggage in the Room first. When I went to the front desk to check in, they kindly accommodated me. Thank you as well for taking the time to look up the best route to my destination.

    A beautiful forest garden and a wonderful lobby. The Room air conditioning controls were slightly faulty.

    The lobby was impressive—spacious and wonderful. The Room was also comfortable. The Chinese restaurant on the basement level had a refined atmosphere, great food, and was excellent overall. The bath had an old-fashioned style. I had trouble because the Room air conditioner could not be adjusted. Fortunately, the temperature was low, so I turned it off at night to sleep. It was nice to be able to walk through the garden to Sakura Tower, Takanawa Prince Hotel, and Sakura Hotel as well. I also took the shuttle bus to Shinagawa Prince Hotel many times and enjoyed shopping and lunch there.

    Used IKYU Diamond be...

    Used IKYU Diamond benefits. We were treated very generously, including a Room upgrade. They delivered towels for our child, told us it’s cheaper to add the child’s breakfast fee at the front desk in advance rather than at the restaurant, and explained that installing the app offers good deals—overall, they were very kind. The Room was a good size. There were a few things I noticed, such as wear on the carpet, but we had no issues during our stay. It was also very convenient that we could request amenities via contactless delivery. We went to breakfast a little after 7:00 and were seated smoothly, and we ate until we were full. Compared with Shinagawa Prince Hotel, the seating layout feels more spacious and comfortable. Perhaps there aren’t enough seats for the size of the Hotel; after 8:00 it seemed to get crowded. When my family got up to get food and I stood up briefly to put my baby into a carrier, an older staff member came over and asked if we were leaving. I was shocked. This was my first time ever being urged to leave at an all-you-can-eat buffet with no time limit. (If you leave, guests are supposed to hand over their card—and I hadn’t even touched it.) When I said, “Oh—we’re still eating…,” they walked away in silence without any apology. That was the only thing that felt extremely unpleasant. Other than that, I think it’s a very good Hotel. I’d like to stay again once more before it gets rebuilt.

    A place where you can feel close to nature while staying in the city!

    I came here to refresh during my summer vacation. Although it’s in the city, I was soothed by the sound of cicadas in the garden and the scent of fresh greenery. Tea time and cocktail time in the lounge were very satisfying. However, the only downside was that the wait during busy hours was extremely long. I was able to get into breakfast without any wait at all, so getting to my destination went smoothly. I’d like to stay here again.

    Impressions from a 3-night, 4-day stay

    Overall, I had a comfortable stay. However, I was slightly dissatisfied that the air conditioner could not maintain the room temperature as indicated on the display, and that the fan speed and airflow direction could not be adjusted.

    Please refrain from giving a flippant, unserious customer service attitude.

    We stayed here because there is a toddler pool our 2-year-old daughter can use. At the Momiji Lounge, a middle-aged male staff member spoke to us in an overly casual manner, repeatedly saying “Mm-hmm, mm-hmm.” When I asked the front desk where the pool was, I was met with similarly casual service: “Ah! The pool! Please wait a moment.” Were we treated lightly because I’m a woman traveling with a child? There was no clear in-house signage for getting to the Diamond Pool that toddlers can use, so we got completely lost. Calls to “Prince One” would not connect for ages in the morning, and I was left at a loss while holding my daughter. I wasn’t expecting luxury-level service, but even at business hotels I’ve experienced more polite hospitality, so this was surprising.

    Staying in a suite at this rate is too cheap. This is not a Hotel where you should expect excessive service, and it isn’t necessary.

    About the Lounge

    This was my second visit. Here are the points that stood out, in bullet form: - In the past, the Hotel staff felt more welcoming (especially in the Club Lounge). - We had to wait a long time for cocktail time, and yet once we got in, there were plenty of empty seats. What kind of operation is that? - At breakfast, there was curry quietly placed next to the omelet station. When I tried to take some, I was told it would run out, so it was only meant to be poured over omelets. Huh? Isn’t this supposed to be the Hotel’s signature curry? What do you mean “it will run out”? Why be stingy? This is the first time I’ve ever seen a Hotel ration curry! Other than that, it felt as usual. Thank you.

    A Luxurious Lounge-Hopping Experience

    I stayed on the Club Floor. The Shin-Takanawa club lounge focused mainly on Chinese cuisine, while the Takanawa lounge was more Japanese-focused. The alcohol selection also matched each lounge’s atmosphere, and it felt like getting great value—almost like two nights’ worth in one stay. I especially appreciated being able to enjoy alcohol from the morning at this lounge. The Room bathroom felt a bit like a Business Hotel, but since Club Floor guests can use the large public bath at Sakura Tower, it didn’t bother me much. As it was during the Obon holiday period, lounge use was limited to 45 minutes, but since I went back and forth between the two lounges during both tea time and cocktail time, it never felt too short. Although it seemed busy overall, the wait time to enter the lounges was short, which was very helpful. Overall, it was a very satisfying stay. If I had to mention any downsides: at breakfast in the lounge, staff at the egg station often stepped away from their post so I had to watch for timing; also, perhaps due to how crowded it was, that same staff member occasionally seemed a bit irritated. Check-in was done at the common counter for all guest rooms and took about 30 minutes of waiting time, so I would really appreciate having lounge check-in available for a more relaxed experience while waiting.

    A Hotel that’s easy to reach by shuttle bus or on foot

    In the intense heat, the shuttle bus in front of Shinagawa Prince Hotel was a big help while carrying luggage. The entrance had also been beautifully renovated. The Room had a spacious desk with two power outlets, and a large mirror that was convenient when getting ready. The bathroom had strong water pressure and drained quickly, so humidity didn’t build up and I could get ready faster, which I really appreciated. The buffet-style restaurant in the basement was also satisfying, making it a wonderful summer trip.

    A Trusted, Long-Established Hotel

    I stayed on the Club Floor. The staff at the front desk and in the club lounge were kind and courteous. The Room felt appropriately aged for its years, but it was well cleaned. The view was wonderful, with Tokyo Tower visible. As for the club lounge, after actually using it, I questioned the 45-minute time limit. First, the food is cleared away too early. Even if not all items are offered until nightcap time, it would be better to continue offering some selection. What stood out most was guests bringing in non-staying visitors. One reason for the crowding is that some guests bring multiple people who are not staying at the Accommodation into the lounge. This should be properly checked and addressed (it’s essentially unpaid consumption). If handled appropriately, there may be no need for a 45-minute limit as a result. Overall I was satisfied, but this point alone felt unpleasant from a paying guest’s perspective.

    This was my first return in a while, but I canceled my Multiple Night Stay.

    This was my first stay in over five years. I had used this Hotel several times back then and remembered it positively, so I chose to stay again for convenient airport access. However, both the Facility condition and service were extremely disappointing. Right after arriving in the Room, I canceled my Multiple Night Stay for the following day and moved to another Hotel. After arriving by shuttle bus, I went to the front desk to check in. Although three female staff members were there, none of them looked at me or acknowledged me; they just continued operating their terminals silently. Thinking check-in might be self-service only, I tried using the check-in machine, but it showed an error and I had to return to the front desk—an unnecessary extra step. There were no other guests at the counter and all three staff members were present, so at minimum I expected a greeting or some kind of acknowledgment when a guest approached. Because I had sent luggage to the Hotel in advance, I went to the bell counter. They asked whether I wanted to carry a 140-size cardboard box up to my Room myself. They did not even place my hand luggage on a cart—I was holding everything—so I could not understand why they thought it would be reasonable for me to carry such a large box myself. The Room was dimly lit, and there was no light inside the closet at all. There was also little lighting around it; since I arrived at night, it was pitch-dark inside and difficult even to hang clothes. There was no solution offered—only an apology/explanation that there was nothing they could do. In addition, the chair upholstery was torn and hanging underneath, there were many noticeable stains on the walls, no children’s slippers or amenities had been prepared at all, and the ice machine on our floor was broken. Overall, it felt lacking in basic cleanliness standards and essential Facilities expected of a Hotel. Because both service and Facilities were so unpleasant, I canceled my Multiple Night Stay for the next day immediately. However, when checking out the next morning, front desk staff told me that cancellation had not been reflected on their side. The cancellation had already been completed in my system account from the previous night as well, so there also seemed to be an issue with how their system updates cancellations. Precisely because my past stays were good memories, it was very disappointing to see how clearly this Hotel’s quality has declined over time. Even among older established Hotels in Tokyo with similar age/building conditions (and often higher rates), many are kept comfortable through proper upkeep/maintenance and consistently high-quality service.

    A Hotel featuring the magnificent architecture of Togo Murano

    We stayed here for a summer staycation. We chose a Room with a Tokyo Tower view, and the scenery framed by the delicate white veranda designed by Togo Murano was outstanding both day and night. And then there’s my favorite bar, Asama. The attentive service, the comfortable sofa seating and spacious atmosphere, the delicious cocktails, and the consistently satisfying spaghetti Bolognese—everything was wonderful. It’s a Hotel that makes you want to come back just for this alone.

    Peak-Season Summer Vacation Stays

    I usually stay around the Main Tower of Shinagawa Prince Hotel, but there were no rooms available, so I stayed at Grand Prince Hotel Shin Takanawa. When going from Sakura Tower to T-Joy, I used the courtyard and the corridors of Shin Takanawa, but in the heat it felt like a long walk up Zakurozaka from Shinagawa Station. Still, the Facility was excellent and I had a comfortable stay. The breakfast buffet had a wide variety of options, and I ended up eating too much. I’d like to stay again.

    Relaxing date on the Club Floor

    Stayed one night on the Club Floor from Saturday. The Club Lounge offered tea time, cocktail time, and nightcap service, and none of these time slots felt noticeably crowded. The staff’s attentive hospitality was excellent. The Sakura Tower spa was also not crowded, with a calm atmosphere where I could truly relax. For dinner, I made a Reservation at the in-house Japanese restaurant Shimizu, and I really appreciated how perfectly they handled my advance requests. The only disappointment was that the bathroom cleaning in the room was not thorough; grime had built up around the temperature control knob and inside the washbasin. Breakfast was smooth with no crowds, which was nice, but the selection was limited. The chef at the egg station was very courteous even while busy. I would definitely like to visit again on another occasion.

    A girls’ sleepover reunion after 30 years

    We held a girls’ overnight get-together for the first time in 30 years. The three of us came from Shonan, Kansai, and Tokyo, so a Hotel in Shinagawa was convenient. Another deciding factor was that they arranged a triple Room with three beds, which is rare these days for three people staying together. It’s a bit old, but with the discount, we were satisfied.

    Birthday celebration

    We stayed here to celebrate an 80th birthday. We booked four Club Floor Rooms and stayed with seven family members. The Hotel kindly prepared surprise gifts for the celebration—sparkling wine, honey hand cream, and an adorable bear-shaped towel—and we are very grateful. With the Club Lounge hopping, we were able to enjoy both tea time and cocktail time at both Takanawa Prince Hotel and Grand Prince Hotel Shin Takanawa, which was very satisfying. We also fully enjoyed complimentary access to the Sakura Tower spa and Diamond Pool. We would like to stay again.

    We stayed as a group...

    We stayed as a group of three for a girls’ trip. The Room felt safe and comfortable, though it did feel a bit old. It was a little disappointing to see some peeling wallpaper. However, the price was good, so we would like to stay again.

    We had a relaxing stay.

    The first floor of the Hotel was wonderful. I stopped by many times between club lounge visits and relaxed in the lobby. Of course, I really enjoyed visiting the club lounge. The sauna and whirlpool bath were very relaxing. I understand it will be open next year, but I would like to visit once more before demolition work begins.

    A quiet, ideal location close to Shinagawa Station.

    While searching around Shinagawa Station, I found this place in the results. The Room was spacious and the bathroom was also large. In Tokyo, it’s extremely difficult to find a reasonably priced Hotel with 15 m² or more, so getting a Hotel of this quality at this price was excellent. However, because I checked in late, I needed some light snacks and drinks, but there was no convenience store nearby and there was no shop or vending machines in the Hotel, so I ended up walking to Shinagawa Station. That was the only disappointing point.

    Club Lounge Services

    The Room was spacious and well equipped, but I’d like to see the club lounge improved a bit. This time I stayed for work, so I only used the club lounge for breakfast and during the nightcap hours. During the nightcap hours, however, the selection of whisky and snacks was extremely limited, which was honestly disappointing. Some foreign guests were even taking beers away in bags, which didn’t look good. (It may be because there were so few snacks that people felt it would be better to buy snacks at a convenience store and enjoy them back in their Room.) I’ve stayed in club rooms at other hotels several times, so it was a shame—especially since the Room facilities and design were excellent. I feel this club lounge should be enhanced and improved.

    A Hotel with an Enjoyable Japanese Garden

    My mother and I stayed here as a party of two. The club floor was spacious and relaxing. At breakfast, I was impressed by how carefully the omelet was prepared. The view from our Room was also wonderful. The garden was large, and we enjoyed taking a walk there. The shuttle bus from the station was very helpful. Thank you very much.

    Long holidays can be surprisingly busy.

    After walking a few minutes from the station in the blazing heat with luggage, I felt dizzy after being made to stand in line for over 20 minutes at check-in. I understand it was crowded because of the holiday weekend, but since you should have been able to anticipate the number of guests, I wondered why there wasn’t a better strategy—such as setting up a temporary counter or offering check-in at the club lounge. With this extreme heat likely to continue for more than two months, I think measures are needed; otherwise some guests may feel unwell, and in the end it will create more trouble for the Hotel. Although it is an older property, both the lobby and the Room were kept clean and that was nice. However, I was disappointed that the placement of outlets in the Room wasn’t conducive to relaxing. I suppose that can’t be helped... This stay was to celebrate my friend’s birthday, so thank you for your thoughtful gesture. The lounge-hopping Plan was excellent, and I would like to use it again. Thank you for your hospitality.

    Facilities and Room Service

    I wanted to watch streaming services such as U-NEXT and Amazon Prime on the in-room TV, but it was not a compatible model. I also wanted to dine in the room via room service, but there was no room service available, which was inconvenient.

    The seasoning of the food in the Club Room is

    When I stay here, I usually book a club room, but I was disappointed because the cocktail-time food at the Takanawa location (Chinese?) didn’t suit my taste. The club rooms here are much cheaper than at other hotels, so I understand to some extent, but since the selection is limited, I wish they would focus more on quality and flavor.
