  • It was very good.

    Conveniently located in front of the station with a convenience store on the first floor, a comfortable Room, plenty of amenities, and courteous service—I was very satisfied. The much-talked-about breakfast exceeded my expectations. In addition to Morioka’s three famous noodle dishes, I could also enjoy pho. Everything was delicious. The staff seemed highly capable and managed the dining area smoothly. They also kindly stored my luggage after checkout, which was very helpful.

    Close to the station, and the rooms are new and spotless.All of the staff were kind and attentive, so I was able to relax during my stay.If I come to Morioka again, I’d love to stay here again.

  • [Important] Notice of Mandatory Tax Collection Due to the Introduction of Morioka City “Accommodation Tax” Effective October 1, 2026

    Thank you very much for your continued patronage of Richmond Hotel Morioka Ekimae. Following the enforcement of an ordinance enacted by Morioka City (Morioka City Accommodation Tax Ordinance), a new “Accommodation Tax” will be levied on guests staying on or after Thursday, October 1, 2026.
    This tax is a local tax imposed by Morioka City, and our Hotel is obligated under the ordinance to collect it from guests and remit it to the municipality (special collection obligation).
    Accordingly, we sincerely apologize for the inconvenience, but we will charge the Accommodation Tax as outlined below in addition to the Accommodation Fee.
    We kindly ask for your understanding and cooperation.

    ■ Enforcement (Start) Date
    For stays from Thursday, October 1, 2026 onward
    *Even if a Reservation was completed on or before September 30, any stay on or after October 1 will be subject to taxation.*

    [Important] For guests staying as a Multiple Night Stay starting on or before September 30:
    The Accommodation Tax will apply from stays on and after the night of Thursday, October 1, 2026.
    (Example: For a two-night stay from September 30 to October 2, the night of September 30 is not taxable; only the night of October 1 is subject to the Accommodation Tax.)

    ■ Tax Amount
    JPY 200 per person per night for guests using a bed

    ■ Criteria for Whether You Are Subject to Taxation
    The number of persons subject to the Accommodation Tax varies depending on your stay style (bed usage).

    Taxable (JPY 200 per person per night):
    - Guests using a regular bed (adults and children alike)
    - Guests using an extra bed or sofa bed

    Not taxable (free):
    - Children Sharing Existing Bedding with an adult
    - Infants/toddlers using a baby crib

    (Example) If two adults + one child sharing existing bedding stay together, only the two adults are taxable; JPY 400 per night (JPY 200 × 2 persons).

    ■ For Guests with Existing Reservations / Guests Using Online Payment Methods
    If you made a Reservation with Local Payment:
    - Please pay the Accommodation Fee together with the Accommodation Tax at check-in.

    If you made a Reservation with Online Credit Card Payment (advance payment):
    - We regret that only the Accommodation Tax (for applicable persons) must be paid separately at our front desk. Thank you for your understanding.
