  • We were very satisfied.

    The location was outstanding above all else. The in-room bath was an Onsen, and the view was so incredible that I could have stayed in it forever without wanting to leave. The Room was a perfect size and felt very clean. The meals were excellent, and I was very satisfied with both breakfast and dinner. There wasn’t any particular dress code inside the property, and it was fine to dine in loungewear, which made for a very relaxing stay.We joined the optional stargazing guide tour, but unfortunately Mt. Onidake—the planned observation spot—was covered by clouds so we couldn’t observe there. However, the guide quickly took us to another location, and we were able to see a wonderful starry sky. We enjoyed the Milky Way and summer constellations with the naked eye.The only disappointing thing was that there was a used tissue left in the pocket of the loungewear provided in our Room—apparently from a previous guest. I wonder if they didn’t check the pockets during cleaning…I also became curious about other Onko Chishin properties, so I went ahead and signed up for membership (lol).

  • We had a very relaxing stay.

    I stayed for two nights as a solo traveler.If you’re staying alone, I think only the smallest Room is available, but it was more than spacious enough for one person.Because the Room is small, having the air conditioner blow directly on me while sleeping was a bit tough, but everything else was excellent.With an Onsen on the balcony, I could soak whenever I wanted and relax on the sofa with a book.On the second day, since I had the chance, I rented a car share from the Hotel parking lot and toured the island.At check-in, they gave me a sheet they had made with recommended sightseeing spots on the island, which was very helpful.Takahama Beach is amazing—the “Goto Blue” was incredible.The meals were also great; I enjoyed local specialties such as fish and Goto beef.It seems they changed the menu on the second day only for guests on a Multiple Night Stay. Everything was delicious.If I have another opportunity, this is an Accommodation I’d love to return to for a relaxing getaway away from city noise.
