An auberge nestled in the forest at the foot of the Hira Mountains, close to Lake Biwa. With the themes of “the luxury of doing nothing” and “a secluded Accommodation,” we serve satoyama Italian cuisine born from fresh lake seafood and the rich bounty of the mountains. Set on a 500-tsubo property, we welcome only six parties per day. Each room is spacious and distinctive, created for moments of quiet serenity. In 2023, young chef Takuro Ishizuka—born and raised here at the foot of the Hira Mountains—joined us. Drawing on his experience discovering exceptional ingredients across Japan and blending them with Japanese cuisine and Mediterranean influences, he is now bringing his expression to Shiga.

Our Facility is not a pet-only Room; we operate with the priority of providing a comfortable stay for guests. We do not provide pet-specific facilities or amenities, so please bring anything you need. Please be sure to bring a crate (pet cage). Also, please refrain from placing pets directly on beds, futons, or floor cushions. Please be sure to read the official website’s terms and conditions for stays with pets.
