A welcoming accommodation with 8 rooms located at the gateway to Kamikochi, "Sawando Onsen".
“Sawando” means “a place where rivers come together.” In December 1998, an Onsen was brought to this area, long used as a gateway to Kamikochi, and Sawando Onsen was born. Our inn opened five years later, in July 2003. Surrounded by mountains with nothing else around, Keiryuso Shiorie warmly welcomes you. We would be delighted if you choose Shiorie to fully enjoy nature, soothe everyday fatigue, celebrate an anniversary with someone special, or reward yourself for all your hard work.
After visiting Kamikochi, three friends and I stayed here. It’s a 10-minute walk from Sawando Bus Terminal. After arriving, we fully enjoyed the Onsen— the large public bath, meals, the private bath, and the open-air bath in our Room. The free-flowing private bath and the open-air bath in our Room were exceptional. Both dinner and breakfast featuring local ingredients were delicious, and there was also a great selection of drinks. The Room was thoughtfully appointed with local furniture and tapestries, a massage chair, a Dyson Airwrap dryer, and many other touches that made our stay comfortable. What impressed me most was how impeccably clean everything was. From the garden on arrival to the baths and guest room, everything felt fresh and serene, making our time there truly relaxing. This has become an Accommodation we would love to visit again. Thank you very much.
