  • A fully pampering, truly soothing Accommodation I keep coming back to

    This is my favorite Accommodation, and I’ve returned many times.This time, I stayed in the Geihinkan “Hanafuki” Room and was truly soothed by the spacious, luxurious setting. The view of the waterfall flowing right in front of the Room was especially memorable, and I could relax at a leisurely pace while listening to the gentle sound of the river.The double-sink vanity was very convenient, and it was also a great touch that I could step straight from the bedroom to the private open-air Onsen bath in the Room. Being able to enjoy Onsen whenever I like without any hesitation feels wonderfully indulgent.Because the bedroom and dining Room are separate, there’s no need for futon setup or takedown, so I could stay comfortable and relaxed throughout my entire stay.Meals were served in-room, which I loved—hot dishes arrived piping hot, and cold dishes stayed perfectly chilled, letting me enjoy everything at its freshest. The seasonal tableware and menu were delicious and beautifully presented, making each meal something I look forward to every time. The tea prepared during meals was also excellent and truly calming.I also appreciated all the complimentary services—from free drinks in the in-room refrigerator to drinks and ice cream in the lounge. It was especially nice that towels are provided at the large public bath so there’s no need to bring them from your Room. The large public bath itself is very comfortable, with thoughtful touches everywhere. Above all, every staff member offers such warm hospitality and attentive care.Once again, this stay left me feeling deeply refreshed as I enjoyed a comfortable yet luxurious time.It’s an Accommodation that makes me think “I want to come back” every single visit—I truly love it.I will definitely return again.

    We had a very pleasant stay at this long-established Ryokan, with attentive service, carefully prepared dishes, spacious rooms, and tasteful furnishings that were elegant without being overdone. We especially loved the open-air bath with just the right temperature, set close to the mountains. We would definitely like to stay again.

We use an abundance of carefully selected local ingredients, and you can also feel the season through our cooking methods, tableware, and presentation. For breakfast, we offer a satisfying set meal with a generous variety of dishes featuring both mountain and sea delicacies. It pairs perfectly with freshly cooked rice made in a traditional pot using Hokkaido’s premium “Fukkurinko” brand. Savor to your heart’s content the cuisine unique to our restaurant Ryokan—beautiful to look at, like admiring the scenery of each season.

The Main Building lets you enjoy the changing seasons with views of the ridgeline of Hakone’s outer rim mountains and the pond garden spread out below. The Annex offers just five ultra-luxury guest rooms on a secluded 3,300 m² riverside valley property. Our hotel features two buildings with a total of 29 rooms. In addition, we offer a wide variety of room types to suit today’s needs, including rooms with open-air baths and Japanese-Western style rooms with beds.     As the mountains of Oku-Yugawara become wrapped in deep green,
    Tsubaki has renewed its autumn kaiseki menu starting Tuesday, September 1, 2026.

    Tsubaki’s Autumn 2026 menu is a kaiseki course that reflects, dish by dish, the ever-deepening autumn scenery of Oku-Yugawara.
    An autumn night sky, moonlight, harvest from the mountains, and blessings from the sea.
    Please take your time at Tsubaki and enjoy a relaxing moment with seasonal flavors.

    This year’s autumn theme is “Brocade Autumn Moonlight”
    It evokes the vividly colored mountains of Oku-Yugawara and the gentle moonlight that softly illuminates them.
    Savor the seasonal delicacies while also enjoying the chef’s playful touches expressed through each vessel and presentation—right to the very end.
