Kamenoi Hotel Atami

We stayed as three generations. We made a Reservation for three Rooms: a baby Room for our young grandchild, a Room with an open-air bath for us grandparents, and twin Rooms for our two daughters. There happened to be a fireworks festival during our stay, and we were able to enjoy an amazing display—such a wonderful memory. The buffet offered a wide variety of dishes, and everything was replenished quickly so nothing ran out. We love traveling and have stayed at many Hotels, but this Hotel is one I would definitely recommend. Free baby food was available, and there was also a kids’ buffet set up so small children could easily help themselves. I think it’s a Hotel where both adults and children can have a great time.During the Reservation process, I made a mistake that caused trouble for the Hotel, but they supported us in many ways and we truly appreciate it. Thank you very much. We would love to visit again.

We stayed on the last day of Silver Week with four family members, including my elderly mother. We booked a room with four beds (including an extra sofa bed), so we expected it to feel a bit tight, but there was no need to worry at all. The layout made the room feel spacious, and we were able to relax comfortably. We didn’t use the in-room bath, but it was designed so you could enjoy the view from the bathroom as well, and it was clean and well maintained. The large public bath had a very spacious indoor tub with pleasantly hot water. The showerheads were ReFa, which made my daughter happy. On our first day it happened to be rainy, so in the semi-open-air bath we couldn’t really see the scenery and felt a bit of rain falling from above, but we could still enjoy the scent of wood and feel the outside air through the wooden lattice while soaking—it had a wonderful atmosphere. Dinner was a buffet including a Hawaiian fair selection, with such a wide variety that we ate too much. Sashimi, steak, Hawaiian dishes, pineapple pizza, assorted marinades—everything was delicious. The colorful mini donuts in the sweets corner caught everyone’s eye—adults and kids alike—and they weren’t just cute; they tasted great too. At night, we were amazed by how beautiful the night view was from our balcony! We even thought that climbing such an incredibly steep slope by car on our way up must have been for this view (laugh). The next morning brought great weather, and we were able to take wonderful family photos on the balcony with Atami town and the blue ocean behind us. At the souvenir shop next to reception, one of the staff at checkout kindly explained products to us in detail. I ended up buying an 8-piece box of Kamenoi Manju that I’d been curious about after hearing her explanation. The packaging looked rather plain at first and I wasn’t sure what to expect—but they were delicious! A fun blend of Western- and Japanese-style flavors (laugh). I’d definitely recommend giving them a try if you visit. Lastly, perhaps because I mentioned in advance that we would be traveling with my elderly mother, they placed us in a room near the elevator for convenience—we truly appreciated that consideration. Thanks to this trip during Silver Week, I could do something nice for my mother as well—we had a fun journey filled with great food and wonderful memories. Thank you very much.
