    My First Breakfast Experience

Every dish reflected such care and was delicious, and the menu truly invigorated all five senses. In particular, the yogurt, honey, fruit, salad, and juice felt so pure that it was as if I could hear the ingredients themselves—I enjoyed it both physically and mentally! I’m looking forward to my next visit.

The attentive service made for a very pleasant stay. The Onsen was gentle and at just the right temperature, so I could relax. Aside from the limited number of elevators—which led to longer wait times due to the crowds during the Nebuta Festival—everything was perfect.

    I stayed here in Mar...

I stayed here in March for personal reasons and again in May during Golden Week. Each time, all IKYU perks were properly included, and I enjoyed delicious cuisine, a relaxing private Onsen, a fun lounge, and complimentary classes such as yoga. No matter how many times I visit, I always have a wonderful time. When the dinner dishes look especially interesting, I end up eating them before taking photos—so my pictures have some gaps.... When I check the menu on the Hotel website, it makes me want to try everything again and book another stay.

A journey that brings new discoveries and relaxation every time you visit

This was my third stay. Once again, it became a deeply fulfilling wellness journey. This was also my third counseling session with the public health nurse, and because they have kept records for me, I was able to truly feel the changes in both my mind and body. In the private yoga lesson, I learned how bringing awareness to my breath and body helps me return to the “here and now,” and how aligning the body also leads to a more balanced mind. Using crystal bowls as well made it an exquisite time of healing. For the complimentary daily programs held at the Hotel, I joined the 8:30 and 9:30 classes (such as meditation and Pilates) and enjoyed a comfortable time together with other guests. The wellness gastronomy offered a menu that let me enjoy refreshing summer aromas and textures, and I thoroughly enjoyed dishes that were carefully prepared with great respect for each ingredient. I felt soothed by the spa treatment, recharged with an IV beauty infusion, and left feeling far more nourished—both physically and mentally—than when I arrived. Even when stressful things happened after returning home, I feel that by applying what I learned during my stay—awareness of breathing and of my body—I’ve become better than before at letting go of stress. I also heard that a wonderful tea menu will be added in the future, which gives me something new to look forward to. Next time, I’d love to come back around when the autumn menu is available.

There were four free yoga classes a day, which was wonderful. Also, the coffee from the machine next to the front desk was delicious, so I took it back to my Room and enjoyed it at my leisure.

It was a wonderful Accommodation in an excellent location.

It was new, and the Room was very clean. The lounge has limited seating, so it’s difficult to sit and relax for long, but the view from the deck was excellent. I appreciated that towels were provided in the large public bath. Breakfast was mainly Western-style, but it was delicious, and there were menu items you don’t find at other Hotels, so I was satisfied. The staff’s service was excellent. This is an Accommodation I would like to visit again.

    The meals are excellent!

We enjoyed both dinner and breakfast, and every dish was made with carefully selected local ingredients and prepared to perfection. The vegetables, fish, and meat were all delicious. This Accommodation is the kind of place that makes you want to come back just for the food. We also took advantage of optional health consultations and free morning yoga, which made our Hotel stay even more enjoyable. It was a very satisfying stay!

Excellent location, recommended for sightseeing around Aomori Station.

Directly connected to Aomori Station for easy access. The staff were courteous, the lobby and facilities were clean, and the room had a great view, so I was very satisfied. I’m glad I stayed here for sightseeing in the area.

    ReLabo by Jogakura Hotel

In May, on my first trip to Aomori, I stayed here for two nights as the final stop after Hachinohe and Mt. Hakkoda. As a Hotel directly connected to the station, getting around was extremely convenient. Since it is inside the station building, the front desk and spa floor are on separate levels. What impressed me most was the staff working on the 6th-floor wellness center—not only those at the counter, but also everyone in cleaning and maintenance. They always greeted me with a smile, which was truly soothing. The baths are not large, but they were kept very clean, and the water felt wonderful. I also used a private bath; it was very spacious and comfortable, with complimentary cider and apple sweets. I also enjoyed classes such as yoga, karate, and Pilates, and all of the instructors were very pleasant as well. As for the overall guest mix, it seemed there were many tourists from Asia. Thank you to everyone at the Hotel. I would definitely like to stay again when I visit Aomori. This time I stayed at ReLabo after staying at Jogakura Hotel; I didn’t realize they were part of the same group until checking out of ReLabo, but both stays were excellent experiences for me.

    Outstanding hospitality

Even right after the holiday period, the staff served us warmly without showing any sign of fatigue. The French course dinner was outstanding, and they helped us choose wine as well—we enjoyed a wonderful evening for the first time in a while. The views are superb, too. In the morning, we even saw people out jogging! They answered our questions carefully and thoughtfully. It was a pleasure to be welcomed with genuine smiles—true Japanese hospitality.

A wonderful Hotel directly connected to Aomori Station.

Directly connected to Aomori Station, making it very convenient. The Onsen was also great. For women, when going to the Onsen, the front desk staff enter a PIN code at the entrance and open the door. Men can enter freely. The food was delicious, but there were no typical Japanese breakfast staples such as miso soup, pickles, or natto. There were free yoga classes and similar activities, and participants were given protein powder.

Disappointed with the Room bathroom and service.

From the Junior Suite Room, you can see the ocean and the Aomori Bridge. The Room is divided into a living area and a bedroom, and the large bathroom looks comfortable at first glance. However, at night, I added the provided bath additive to what seemed like an Izu-stone-style bathtub that felt about twice the usual size. The bath was pleasant while soaking, but when getting out, the water had turned milky white from the additive, so I could not tell where the drain was (the bottom is flat enough that you cannot locate the drain hole even by feeling with your feet). With no other option, I got out as it was. By the next morning, the bathtub was still milky white and I still did not know how to drain it, so I called staff. The staff member repeatedly stabbed a metal rod with a handle into the tub for over 30 minutes (a very unusual draining method in which you insert this rod into the drain hole and twist the handle to remove a drain fitting), but it would not drain no matter how many times they tried. So I told them, “That’s enough,” and asked them to leave. After that, my husband undressed and got into a tub filled with cold water; after more than 10 minutes of searching along the bottom with his feet, he finally found the drain hole. He inserted the rod to open it and drained it so we could refill it and bathe again. Regarding this trouble, I would like to point out: 1) If there had been instructions in the bathroom explaining how to use this handled metal rod, we would have checked where the hole was in advance. Also, if you provided something that does not turn cloudy (e.g., bath salts), we should have been able to find it. There is no consideration from a guest’s perspective at all. In similar situations, housekeeping must also struggle greatly when cleaning this bathtub. 2) Rather than repeatedly poking around blindly with this rod, couldn’t staff have tried something else—such as bailing out some of the water? Please consider how guests feel when made to wait over 30 minutes early in the morning. 3) With an issue like this, it is normal for a manager or person in charge to apologize at checkout; however, we were only directed to an automated checkout machine and received no apology at all. There appears to be no information sharing among staff. I rarely write a Review , but I am posting this so others do not have to go through what we did. Troubles like this leave a very negative impression of a Hotel . Please take steps to prevent recurrence.

    Conveniently located near the station.

We stayed here on a trip to Aomori to see the cherry blossoms. There were Reviews saying the food was good, so we planned to book with meals, but it seems dinner was not available during that season, so we added breakfast only. The view from the balcony was also great. The Onsen had apples floating in it, and it smelled wonderful. We could also use the lounge and drink as much as we wanted whenever we liked. There were snacks too, but they felt more like cheap candy, so I thought it would be nice if there were more cookies or ice cream. The Room was new and clean. However, maybe because it was small, there was no chair and no shelf to place a suitcase, so it was inconvenient not knowing where to put our luggage. Breakfast is buffet-style, but items like open sandwiches and Eggs Benedict are made fresh for you and were delicious. I kept dessert light and didn’t notice that there were many great-looking desserts lined up in a display case. Next time I definitely want to try them. I’d like to stay again if I have the chance.

Fourth stay, second day of the stay

This time, I didn’t use the optional wellness or sleep counseling, but I stayed again in the private Onsen bath “Hisui.” As always, “Hisui” is outstanding—so relaxing. For dinner tonight, I chose Tsugaru duck as the main. It was my first time trying it, and it was delicious. This winter was a 2-night Multiple Night Stay, and it was a very satisfying visit. Next, I have a Reservation for a Junior Suite in September. It’s a room I’ve wanted to stay in at least once, and I’m really looking forward to it.

My fourth stay—this Hotel remains just as relaxing.

I stayed at this Hotel on its opening day, was truly moved, and it quickly became a favorite. This was my fourth stay since last July. *I’m late in posting this Review, but I stayed in January. This time, I had to Change the Reservation at the last minute and booked different room types (Night 1: Tourist/Double; Night 2: Tourist/Twin/Unit Bath). However, thanks to the Hotel’s kindness, I was able to enjoy a Multiple Night Stay in the Tourist/Twin/Unit Bath room, which made my stay very comfortable. Thank you very much. Dinner was as consistently high in quality and flavor as ever—I was genuinely satisfied. No matter how many times I have it, the low-temperature cooked Kuraishi beef steak is outstanding. At the bar, I also enjoyed chatting with the bartender while having drinks and spending a relaxing time. Since it was winter, I ordered hot whiskey and hot wine—both were excellent. Breakfast was just as delicious as always, and I started the day completely satisfied. That said, there is still a risk of JR service suspensions each year, so staying in January or February can be uncertain. It makes me hesitate about what to do next year. Still, seeing piled-up snow feels rare to me and is truly exciting.

A wellness-filled trip to refresh your mind and body

This was my second stay, following my visit in January. Once again, I had a truly fulfilling time and felt both body and mind restored and refreshed. I’d like to leave three comments. ● I enjoyed the Wellness Gastronomy French course. With an abundance of carefully prepared, high-quality ingredients—such as the Aomori “Nature Plate” featuring 13 varieties—the dishes were beautiful to look at and felt wonderfully cleansing for the body. I was amazed by how tender and delicious the Kuraishi beef steak was. The staff were so warm and welcoming that even as a solo traveler I could fully relax—and with such great food, the wine went down a little too easily! ● In addition to a private yoga lesson, I joined the free-program yoga session and a Kampo (traditional herbal medicine) lecture. The private lesson was tailored to my condition and goals, helping me deepen my breathing and regain balance in both body and mind. In the free program, it was fun practicing yoga together with international guests, and what I learned in the Kampo lecture also connected to breakfast the next morning, which was very helpful. There were many other programs being offered as well, so I’d love to join again. ● On the medical side, as with last time I received counseling from a public health nurse, and this time they also checked my internal mineral balance. Being able to talk at length was healing in itself, and I felt truly empowered. With a clinic located on the 6th floor of the same facility, it was also easy to receive beauty IV drips or fatigue-recovery injections—covering everything from anti-aging care to hangover relief. They also have original ReLabo skincare (lotion and cream); using them after returning home brought back ReLabo’s soothing scent while leaving my skin deeply moisturized. With stressful times likely continuing for a while, I’m very happy to have found a place where I can heal and reset both body and mind. I will definitely be back. (Solo female trip #7)

It was a very comfortable Hotel.

Due to our mistake, we made a Reservation for a Multiple Night Stay in different Room types, but thank you for noticing and contacting us. The ocean view from the Room was outstanding. It was our first time having a vegan dinner, and it was truly delicious. In addition, the breakfast buffet offered an excellent selection and exceptional quality. This was the most satisfying stay we have ever had, including our trips to Hakodate. The heartfelt service from everyone—especially at the front desk—was wonderful, and all of our questions and requests were handled kindly and carefully. The Accommodation rate is slightly higher for Aomori, but the experience exceeded that by far; personally, I would rate it as a three-star Hotel. I would love to stay again in a different season someday. Thank you for creating such wonderful memories.

    It was very comfortable.

This was my first stay, and it was very comfortable. The front desk staff who assisted me at check-in, as well as the team in the spa area, were especially wonderful. However, the front desk service at check-out felt a bit mechanical (not in a bad way), which was slightly disappointing. Breakfast was also excellent, with high quality in every item. I would like to stay here again when visiting Aomori. Thank you very much.

    It’s new and very clean!

I stayed here when I took the Shinkansen from Hachinohe to attend a concert. The hotel is directly connected to the station, so the location and access are excellent. There were apples floating in the bath, Tsugaru Vidro cups, an Aomori Prefecture–shaped tray, mulberry leaf tea, and more—perfect for enjoying Aomori! Breakfast is number one in the city for me! Desserts, dressings, juices—everything is packed with apples! The reception and bar staff had a cool vibe but provided warm hospitality. If I had to make one request: I wanted ice cream after my bath—but I guess that’s not great for your health, right? When it’s cold, I don’t want to walk to a convenience store, so I just wished there were an ice cream vending machine.

    Extremely satisfied

I previously researched and made a Reservation when my family stayed here. It was very well received, so this time I stayed myself. With the snow in mind, the direct connection to the station is very convenient. My impression is that many guests are from overseas. The Room is clean and easy to use, and the amenities are great. Personally, I’d prefer more open space instead of having a chair, ottoman, and small table. Also, I felt the building’s layout may make ventilation a bit difficult. The large public bath didn’t have a sauna for women (unfortunately), but it was simple, clean, and very nice. It would be even better if the shower water pressure were stronger. I had high expectations after seeing the breakfast photos, but it was even more delicious than expected. Aomori has so much great food that I’d honestly stay here just for this breakfast alone. The staff were also very kind and professional—excellent people who anticipate what you need before you ask. It was my first time staying around Aomori Station, and it was an incredibly enjoyable stay. I checked out yesterday, but I already want to stay again now. I will definitely be back. Thank you very much!

A rejuvenating journey to refresh your mind and body

I stayed for two nights on my first solo trip (excluding business trips) to heal my exhausted body from work and caregiving, as well as my heart burdened by a great loss. The hotel is directly connected to the station with a commercial facility downstairs, providing excellent access without exposure to rain or snow, and making shopping for souvenirs or daily necessities very convenient. The interior of the hotel exudes a high-quality and calm atmosphere throughout. At the time of reservation, I arranged wellness counseling by a public health nurse, sleep counseling, private yoga lessons, and moonlight relaxation yoga. Upon check-in, I was warmly welcomed by the public health nurse who provided extensive support during my stay. Being on a solo trip made this especially reassuring. Through counseling sessions that included various tests based on scientific evidence, I received specific advice that helped me understand my condition and challenges clearly. In yoga sessions with an amazing instructor, I learned techniques such as deep breathing methods and correct posture—experiences that cannot be gained through YouTube alone. It inspired me to continue practices like Yoga Nidra and meditation in the future. The spa treatment was an indulgent reward for both skin and soul—a truly relaxing experience. In the large communal bath area, I enjoyed soaking in a silky bath filled with floating apples—a unique delight! The private Onsen was incredibly luxurious and worth every moment. I was surprised to find out that beauty injections were available at the hotel! Despite being active during my stay—and even drinking quite a bit—I felt no travel fatigue or hangover afterward; perhaps it was thanks to those injections? Breakfast featured a buffet with labels indicating ingredients recommended by dietitians; guided by advice from counseling sessions earlier in my stay, I made thoughtful choices like Egg Benedicts which were deliciously nourishing meals that revitalized both body & mind. In the evening at their bar overlooking snowy landscapes outside while sipping Aomori wine allowed peaceful moments lost deep within thoughts reflecting life’s journey ahead positively again! From front desk staff members through restaurant/bar teams alike—their warmth kindness ensured utmost relaxation throughout entire visit leaving gratitude-filled memories behind upon departure already planning next Reservation soon after returning home rejuvenated stronger optimistic outlook forward once more!

    The best in Aomori City

This hotel is directly connected to Aomori Station and offers top-notch service in Aomori City, including its staff, facilities (rooms, onsen, etc.), and restaurant. While the cost matches the level of service provided, it is undoubtedly worth it. The restaurant that served the 2025 Governor's Meeting dinner is exclusively available to guests, showcasing its unparalleled quality as the best French cuisine in Aomori. I would definitely stay here again if given the chance.

Direct access to the station, spacious

Conveniently located inside Aomori Station building, with easy access to the bustling Shinmachi area and an airport bus stop right outside. The interior is spacious and offers a relaxing atmosphere, different from typical Business Hotels, which was very pleasant. The bath was also comfortable. I skipped the breakfast as it was pricey and enjoyed a seafood bowl at the nearby market instead!

Conveniently located near the station, offering excellent service and cleanliness.

Thank you for the wonderful stay. The Hotel is conveniently located near the station and directly connected to JR, making it very accessible. Shopping was also easy with commercial facilities in the same building. The Room was clean and well-maintained. The bath and services were excellent as well. I was impressed by the apple-filled bath (perhaps exclusive to the women’s bath?). After bathing, I enjoyed apple juice, detox water, Aomori sweets, and even candy sticks in the lounge—such a delightful touch! The staff provided warm and pleasant service throughout our stay. Breakfast offered a variety of healthy and unique options that made me eat more than I intended! Additionally, the entire Hotel had a lovely fragrance that added to its relaxing atmosphere. Next time, I’d love to try yoga there! Thank you for your hospitality!

This was an accommodation worth repeating.

We stayed for two nights and three days. The Zen Room was compact yet modern and very comfortable. The attention to detail, such as the Nambu iron teapot and mulberry leaf tea, was impressive. Being able to use the restaurant and lounge in the provided loungewear was also a great convenience. We added a spa menu separately, which was incredibly relaxing. I heard that this spa has won the World Luxury Spa Award—well deserved! Overall, the hospitality of all staff members was outstanding, making my stay exceptionally pleasant even though I usually pay attention to small details. I will definitely be returning!

Convenient for those traveling by Shinkansen.

At the end of October, I stayed for a Multiple Night Stay. The staff at the front desk, bar, and evening restaurant were attentive and polite, making my stay pleasant. At the bar, they recommended several wines from the Shimokita Peninsula, which turned out to be a delightful discovery. The arugula and Aomori salmon salad I ordered as a light meal exceeded my expectations with its quality and paired wonderfully with wine. The dinner at the restaurant had a gentle flavor and felt healthy. Conversations with female staff members were enjoyable and left good memories. The breakfast buffet offered a wide variety of options; however, I felt that the selection and taste of bread could be improved. Overall, this Hotel might feel lacking in terms of room amenities or size, luggage assistance to rooms, service sophistication, or lounge quality for those accustomed to luxury hotel stays. It may be better considered as an upscale Business Hotel instead. Additionally, compared to urban restaurants, the evening course meals at this Hotel's restaurant seemed relatively expensive. During my stay, there was an overwhelming number of foreign tourists from China or Southeast Asia such as Thailand; Japanese guests were quite few in comparison. Elevators often became crowded like rush-hour trains due to guests boarding with multiple large suitcases even when others were already inside—this was quite stressful every time it happened. It would be helpful if large luggage could be managed by Hotel staff using service elevators for transport to rooms. I also found it unpleasant when some foreign guests behaved inconsiderately—for example wearing bathrobes around lounges or speaking loudly on video calls during breakfast in the restaurant—and strongly hope that such behavior is addressed by Hotel management without overlooking these issues. While it's wonderful that both the city and this Hotel are bustling with many international tourists bringing vibrancy to the area—it would enhance everyone's experience if more consideration is given toward providing quiet spaces for those seeking peaceful relaxation during their vacation stays here!

    I stayed in the Tour...

I stayed in the Tourist Room for the first time as the Zen Room I previously used was fully booked, and it was a comfortable room with a great view. After arriving at the hotel, I enjoyed drinks and snacks in the beautiful lounge while gazing at the sea—a truly pleasant experience. The lounge is also nice because all guests spend their time quietly. Since the hotel's meals are delicious, I made a reservation for dinner this time as well. The dishes were wonderful and tasty, not heavy on the stomach, leaving me satisfied every time. The restaurant staff's explanations of each dish were enjoyable too. At night, I attended a yoga lesson, making it a fulfilling day. The next morning, we used a private Onsen which was perfect for my elderly parent who moves at their own pace—it allowed us to relax comfortably without any rush. After bathing, we could unwind in our room with drinks and snacks provided while sitting back in chairs wearing bathrobes. Following that, we enjoyed a leisurely breakfast with various options along with IKYU benefits included—making this stay another excellent experience. Thank you very much!
