  The day before your beloved dog’s birthday

  We stayed again (maybe our 4th time) to celebrate our dog’s birthday. We love the first-floor Room with direct access to the dog run. Once again, the food was delicious, and the staff were very kind to our dog, so we were extremely satisfied. I didn’t mention it was the day before our dog’s birthday and made a Reservation through IKYU, but they still celebrated for us at dinner. The dumplings for our dog must have been tasty—he finished them in no time even though he had already eaten quite a lot. The Instagram photo session time changed to 5:00 PM, and since we’re not great with that sort of thing, we didn’t join. I might prefer taking the photo at check-in like before.

  Set aside a portion of each meal for inspection.

  I stayed with my puppy. This is the Hotel my previous dog loved. I had decided that our first overnight stay would be at this Hotel. It has been over a year since my previous dog passed away, and it was probably more than two years since our last stay. Even though it had been quite some time, thank you for your kind thoughtfulness toward my previous dog. You even prepared an offering meal for him (there was a small mistake in the kanji, but that just made us smile). At checkout, you also gave us an offering as well. I was so moved that I couldn’t stop crying. In fact, during our second stay with the puppy last month there was a small mix-up; when I wrote about it in a Review, you responded immediately and I truly appreciated it. I feel embarrassed that I quickly wrote a Review about my complaint, yet delayed writing this thank-you Review for what you did for my previous dog. I am very sorry. The hospitality and Facilities—everything—are wonderful at this Hotel. We will definitely visit again. Thank you very much.

  No matter how many times you visit, we always put you first!!!

  This was our second stay. We let them know that we would arrive late due to a wedding rehearsal that day, and they kindly accommodated us by taking us straight to the restaurant as soon as we arrived. Thanks to that, we made it in time for dinner and were able to relax with my mother and our dog. Our dog weighs 30 kg, but he’s very friendly and enjoyed interacting with the staff. They even came over calling his name, which showed wonderful hospitality toward dogs as well! All of the meals were delicious, and we especially loved the performance of freshly grating wasabi right in front of us. For breakfast, we enjoyed local Lake Hamana specialties like mandarin jam and mandarin juice—both visually and taste-wise. Unfortunately, the weather wasn’t great this time so we couldn’t use the outdoor dog run or take a walk around Lake Hamana, but we still had a wonderful time together as a family. Thank you very much!

  My Favorite Dog Hotel

  I’ve stayed here several times! All of the staff are truly kind, and it’s my favorite Accommodation where I can always relax and feel comfortable. The food is delicious too, and I look forward to it every time. It seems there are various Reviews, but the fact that it’s not an Onsen and that the entire building is non-smoking are clearly stated on the Facility information page. Personally, I didn’t notice any odor in the Room either. Their deodorizing measures are thorough, and compared with other dog-friendly Hotels, I found it very comfortable. I’ll keep supporting you! We’ll be back!!

  Commemorative Photo Shoot

  I joined the commemorative photo session, but it wasn’t posted on Instagram. I stayed on June 15, 2026. I was told, “We’ll update Instagram soon, so please look forward to it!” but for some reason there was no post for the 15th—it feels like that day was skipped. It’s fine if it isn’t posted, but I at least wanted the photos. I stayed many times with my previous dog, and back then they took photos of each dog individually, so I could take my own as well. I also saved screenshots of the Instagram posts and stories and added them to my album. Even after my dog passed away, I often look back at them and remember those wonderful trips. That’s why I wanted this time’s photos as a keepsake too. That was the only disappointing part.

  It was the perfect way to end a wonderful trip.

  I stayed for one night in a suite Room with my husband and our beloved dog. The Room was very clean, and the view was outstanding. The meals were delicious, and they kindly accommodated my husband’s allergies, so we had a truly satisfying stay. They also prepared a birthday celebration plate for me—thank you very much. It was an unexpected and wonderful surprise. This is an Accommodation we would definitely like to stay at again.

  The meals were outstanding, as always.

  This was my second visit. Just like last time, the meals were outstanding. It was a Multiple Night Stay, and dinner was completely different each night; breakfast was Western on the first day and Japanese on the second. I was very satisfied. The bath is not an Onsen, which is a downside, but it is spacious, never crowded, and has a great view—very relaxing. The dog run straight access is very convenient for large dogs because you don’t have to walk down the corridor. The slope also makes for good exercise. I stay at various places with my dog, but this Hotel makes me want to come back again.

  First Trip

  This was our first trip with our dog. Thanks to the warm welcome from all the staff, we had a wonderful time. We were very satisfied with both the meals and the Onsen. At dinner, they even prepared an adorable plate for our dog, which made it a memorable experience.

  Hospitality that’s comfortable for both dogs and people

  It’s a wonderful place! I’d been wanting to visit for a long time, and when the price became very reasonable at the last minute, I decided immediately. Even though it was peak season, they kindly accommodated various sudden changes that would normally be impossible. They met us at the station on the day and even called my dog by name—such a warm welcome right away. The staff were all lovely and truly soothing. The Haagen-Dazs was a mini assortment, and the drinks were all-inclusive, which we gratefully enjoyed. The meals were also excellent, making great use of local ingredients. If I had to say one thing, I felt the dessert was just a bit childlike—but that’s part of its charm. After that, we enjoyed an oxygen capsule for the first time with our pet; the large public bath was spacious, and we fully enjoyed the sauna as well. The next morning’s breakfast also let us enjoy just the right amount with drinks and salad served buffet-style. Everything up to the Shuttle Service on our way back became a wonderful memory. Thank you very much. P.S. Next time, I’m planning a Multiple Night Stay—looking forward to it!

  I stayed here three ...

  I stayed here three years ago, and this time again I was extremely satisfied. The weather was great, and being able to go out to the dog run directly from the Room meant our dog stayed happy and smiling the whole time. All of the staff were just as dog-first as ever, so we felt at ease throughout our stay. Thank you very much. Reason for giving 4 points for meals: Some dishes tasted a little too salty for me.

  Just right.

  Merci Birthday Anniversary Trip

  The hospitality was wonderful, and I was happy that you remembered our dog’s name at check-in and greeted her by name. This is a truly dog-first Hotel, and I was impressed by the staff’s thoughtful attention to detail. The food was absolutely delicious, and you even checked in with us at just the right time when we wanted coffee—I could really feel how carefully you were looking out for us. Celebrating with sparklers and applause was the best gift ever! The Room was lovely as well, and both the indoor dog run and outdoor dog run were spacious.   One First Hotel

  From welcome to farewell, it was a great dog-friendly Hotel. Dinner could be enjoyed together with everyone, and the Room was clean. The indoor dog run was also enjoyable. In summer, even after outdoor play, the shampoo and dryer facilities provided peace of mind. The public bath lacked partitions in the washing area, which might be uncomfortable if crowded, but everything else was excellent. I would love to visit again!

  Exceptional Hospitality and Stunning Views

  I stayed in a Deluxe Room on the 4th floor. Although it was a bit far from Tokyo, the breathtaking view of Lake Hamana made it worth the trip, and the welcoming smiles of the staff were wonderful. The room was very spacious, and my dog enjoyed running around. For meals, dinner featured Japanese cuisine (with some fusion dishes), and the eel was particularly delicious. Breakfast was a Western-style buffet with some items served individually. I drive an electric vehicle, and I greatly appreciated that the hotel had an EV charger (e-Mobility Power 6wh). Although there was only one charger available, fortunately, no other EVs were using it at that time. Even during check-out, I received a warm send-off from the staff, which made my stay very pleasant. I would love to visit again!

It would be great if areas or times could be divided based on dog size when possible. **Room, Facility** The lake view was exactly as expected and worth the visit for the scenery alone. Hygiene was excellent, with well-cleaned water facilities ensuring comfort. Although I didn’t use the public bath, it’s nice that pet care is available during that time. Amenities were plentiful, especially the toilet sheets conveniently placed near elevators on each floor—very helpful! If pets were allowed on beds, it would make things even better. **Service** Thank you for promptly assisting when I spilled my drink. **Dining** Shizuoka offers delicious food everywhere, and this place was no exception! Enjoyed local specialties like eel from Lake Hamana, fresh whitebait, and Mikabi beef—all must-tries in Shizuoka. Even the rice was cooked to perfection. I was highly satisfied with both the views and meals; I look forward to visiting again. Thank you!

Regarding this Reservation, due to IKYU.com system specifications, “member reservations” and “Guest Reservations” are managed separately, and as a result a duplicate booking was confirmed. This is due to IKYU.com’s management method, and our Accommodation is unable to consolidate or modify the Reservation information.   Both pets and owners will be fully satisfied!

  We stayed as a couple who loves traveling with our dog. Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted at the parking lot and enjoyed a relaxing check-in while sipping tea in the spacious lobby with a great view. Our dog, who usually doesn't like artificial turf dog runs, absolutely loved the natural grass and sloped dog run here, happily running around. The meals were delicious, especially the grilled eel we ordered separately—it was exceptional. The buffet for dogs had a wide variety of options, and even our food-loving pup went back for seconds and ate plenty. The Room amenities featured my favorite brand, which made me very happy. All the staff members were friendly and provided excellent service with smiles, making our stay very pleasant. If I may suggest one improvement: having night lighting in the dog run would make it even better! We definitely want to visit again—thank you so much!

  First Trip with Your Beloved Dog

  Simply the best! Upon arrival at the Hotel, we were greeted with smiles and guided to the parking lot by several staff members who warmly welcomed us! The lounge was spacious and offered a stunning view of Lake Hamana right in front of us. The staff kindly provided a detailed explanation of the Facility. The dog run included both outdoor and indoor areas, making it enjoyable even on rainy days! There were plenty of amenities for dogs as well. Each floor also had photo spots! Both breakfast and dinner were absolutely delicious, and the staff were incredibly friendly, making our time truly enjoyable! You can add a special buffet for your dog at an additional cost, which made our furry friend so happy! We couldn’t help but spoil them… haha. Since we visited on a weekday, there weren’t many other dogs around. However, we had plenty of space to enjoy the large dog run to its fullest—very satisfying! We definitely want to visit again! It was such a wonderful Hotel. Thank you so much!

  Highly recommended for dog lovers!

  This time, we stayed in a G-type room. The overall quality of the room was exceptionally high, especially with the non-slip flooring design, which showed thoughtful consideration for dogs throughout. Although there was a temporary issue with the water supply on the day, we were offered complimentary drinks during dinner as compensation, and we truly appreciated the sincere response. The meals were all delicious; even though I usually don't enjoy sea urchin, it was fresh and free of any unpleasant taste here, making me realize how tasty it can be at this accommodation. Additionally, the variety of options at the dog buffet was impressive and focused on health aspects as well. Both our food-loving dog and we were absolutely delighted. The attention to detail extended to amenities like oxygen capsules and grooming corner shampoos, reflecting care for dogs in every aspect. Moreover, the staff's hospitality was outstanding—they remembered our dog's name and even gave us treats as a parting gift when we left—leaving us deeply touched by their warm service. Overall, it was an incredibly satisfying stay that I highly recommend to fellow dog lovers. We are already looking forward to revisiting in December when we'll stay in an H-type room!

  The meals are delicious.

  I stayed in a Type G room. The terrace was spacious, and the view of Lake Hamana right in front was stunning. The amenities were well-prepared and excellent. Unfortunately, the weather was drizzly and cloudy, so I couldn't spend time on the terrace, but the room was clean everywhere and very comfortable. All staff members were kind to dogs. The indoor dog run was spacious and very clean as well. Above all, the meals were delicious, made with fresh ingredients in a light flavor that suited my taste perfectly; they were beautifully presented with impeccable timing of service—truly impressive. The public bath wasn't very large but was also clean and pleasant. However, one disappointing point: my dog has heart disease, so I had been looking forward to using the oxygen room. Unfortunately, there seemed to be an accident from another pet before us that hadn't been cleaned up properly—I unknowingly stepped on it with my socks which got wet. I immediately removed them and walked back barefoot to wash both my socks and feet upon returning to our room. It would be great if checks could be done after each use for such incidents. Despite this one issue, it became an accommodation I'd love to visit again. Thank you very much!

  It was the perfect Hotel for food lovers like us.

  Dinner was very delicious. Some guests were having Japanese-style breakfast, so I would have preferred to try that as well. The Room was clean, and the bed was very comfortable to sleep in. The sunrise over Lake Hamana while soaking in the jacuzzi was amazing. The complimentary drinks and Häagen-Dazs were much appreciated.

Regarding breakfast, as stated in the plan, we primarily serve Western-style meals. However, for guests staying from the second night onward, we also offer Japanese-style meals as an arranged menu option. We would be thrilled if you could consider a Multiple Night Stay next time and enjoy our Japanese-style breakfast (arranged menu) as well. Additionally, we are honored to know that you were satisfied with our complimentary drinks and Häagen-Dazs ice cream offerings. Our staff looks forward to welcoming you again and providing a relaxing experience alongside the beautiful scenery of Lake Hamana.

  First-Time Pet-Friendly Accommodation Stay

  For our first trip with a pet, we carefully selected from various facilities and were extremely satisfied with the result. While there are many pet-friendly hotels, this hotel truly stands out as being exceptionally pet-first. The lobby, hallways, and rooms are equipped with wet wipes and pet sheets. Additionally, amenities like restaurant-use pet carts, welcome treats, and a buffet corner for pets make the experience delightful. The highlight was the dog run. It connects directly to the room but has a garden area in front of the room where our timid dog could gradually get accustomed before interacting with other dogs or running freely on the spacious grassy area of the dog run. Watching our beloved dog enjoy these moments brought us immense happiness. Unlike at regular hotels where interactions with other guests are rare, here we had meaningful conversations through our pets and met many wonderful people—an unforgettable experience! Although it’s a pet-first hotel, services for owners are also well thought out; delicious meals along with complimentary Haagen-Dazs ice cream and soft drinks were much appreciated. Even without bringing a pet along, this hotel offers comfort and satisfaction. There were three minor concerns: 1) The facility is not fully barrier-free, making movement slightly inconvenient when using a pet cart. 2) Breakfast quality was noticeably lower compared to dinner. 3) The roads around the hotel are very narrow—so narrow that passing an oncoming car can be challenging. That said, these points are minor observations rather than complaints. We would love to visit again!

While there may be some inconveniences when using pet carts or other areas, we will continue striving to make improvements and ensure a comfortable stay for all guests. Regarding meals, preferences can vary greatly between those who prefer Western cuisine and those who favor Japanese cuisine. While this may result in differing impressions based on personal taste rather than quality itself, we will work harder to satisfy a wider range of guests' preferences. As for access roads outside our premises, they fall beyond our management area and are therefore challenging to improve. Although buses up to 9 meters in length can pass through these roads comfortably, first-time visitors might find them narrow. We kindly ask for your understanding regarding this matter. Moving forward, we remain committed to providing a "dog-first" experience while ensuring comfort for owners as well.   A cozy Hotel

  The staff were very kind and attentive, which made both me and my beloved dog very happy. The food was delicious, and I wished I could have had a Multiple Night Stay! It was a very comfortable and safe Hotel to stay at. I will definitely use it again! Thank you so much!
