A Smooth Stay from Start to Finish

After staying the previous night at another Hotel’s club lounge, I stayed at HIYORI. The style of stay was different, but the in-house guidance was very easy to understand and I had no trouble at all. The breakfast Reservation system is also excellent. This time, I had breakfast on the terrace. I enjoyed a variety of dishes while looking out at the ocean view. The cheerful morning greetings from the staff at the breakfast venue left a great impression. As a measure against the wind, it might be reassuring if there were a box for trash or something like a paperweight on the terrace seats so items like wet-towel wrappers don’t blow away. Next time, I’d like to use the pool and restaurant as well. The live music was wonderful too—I’d love to enjoy that atmosphere again. My Room was upgraded as well. Everything felt clean throughout, with refined interior design. The hair iron was also very helpful. The amenities were high quality and I wanted to buy them, but decided not to this time. Using the speaker while cooking was great too. Next time, I may bring an apron for cooking purposes. Thank you very much.

Thank you for a wonderful and comfortable stay!

From the moment we entered the Hotel, it smelled wonderful and felt like stepping into an extraordinary space, which was exciting. The music played every evening was also very soothing, and we were able to relax throughout our stay. We enjoyed the bath and the pool as well, so our stay felt very fulfilling. Next time, I’d like to use the gym too. Breakfast was delicious, and the kids became obsessed with sea grapes. It was also great to be able to eat while looking out at the ocean. In the Room, we could separate the bed area from the living area, so after the kids fell asleep we could use different spaces comfortably. Having a washing machine was a huge help—it really reduced how much laundry we had to do after returning home, which we appreciated. The kids were thrilled with things like ice cream and eating on the balcony, and our whole family had a wonderful time together. We’d definitely love to stay again!

A Hotel that’s great for families with children

The Room is spacious and nice, but for some reason it doesn’t feel very relaxing—perhaps because it’s along the road.

This is a very good Hotel, just as its reputation suggests.

I think this is a very good value Facility. The Room is spacious and clean, and the view is great. The breakfast buffet is also very delicious. The parking lot is easy to use. If I had to mention any drawbacks, the Hotel entrance is on the opposite side of the road when coming from Naha, so you need to make a U-turn, and the large public bath is very small. Even considering those points, I think it’s a Hotel you can be very satisfied with.

I keep coming back again and again!

I’ve stayed here every year since it opened in 2021. I sometimes try other hotels, but I always end up coming back (lol). The breakfast hasn’t changed year to year, but it’s consistently delicious! Having a washer/dryer in the Room and a simple kitchenette is perfect for families. That said, even though I’m a repeat guest every year, I still have to fill out the check-in form each time. I wish the Hotel could recognize returning guests and streamline that process.

    Consistently satisfying.

This is our third year staying at Hiyori as our regular Accommodation for our once-a-year trip to Okinawa, and we’re always impressed by the consistently high-quality, attentive service every year. Last year we remember the wait time for the breakfast buffet being long, but this year it was improved—for example, they notified us of the waiting time on our smartphones—so our satisfaction increased even more. We look forward to staying again next year.

    Resort-like atmosphere

From the moment we got out of the car, it felt like a true resort, and the walk to the front desk was wonderful. The Room had an ocean view, was very clean, and felt extremely comfortable. Both the front desk staff and the restaurant staff were very pleasant. We ordered à la carte at the restaurant, and everything was delicious. This is a Hotel we would definitely return to!!

I’ll definitely be staying here again.

Not only the Room, but also the staff service, pool, gym, bath, and breakfast—everything was by far the best of this trip (we stayed at three Hotels). My family couldn’t stop praising it, saying “Hiyori is the best!” The breakfast clearly reflects a focus on quality ingredients and handmade preparation, making it perfect for guests who value high-quality food.

    Enjoy an extraordinary escape

We stayed as a group of three women. Watching the sunset from the poolside while listening to live saxophone music, and seeing the beautifully lit-up Facility and pool at night—every view felt extraordinary and created a wonderful atmosphere. The Room was equipped with everything we needed for our stay, and the refrigerator had complimentary sanpin tea, beer, and ice cream. We had a great time chatting for hours in the spacious living room with friends I hadn’t seen in a while, making it a truly enjoyable stay. Breakfast was also just as highly rated—everything we tried was delicious. However, breakfast that morning was quite crowded, with many people waiting their turn in the lobby. There was a QR code at the restaurant entrance to check in and see wait times, but it would have been nice if we could do that from the Room without having to go downstairs (especially since getting ready to step out takes time), so we could relax while waiting—that was my only small disappointment.

A perfect base for your adventures.

Pros: Great to be close to Ishikawa IC. Being able to get from the airport by expressway and still be near the ocean is surprisingly rare, so this feels like a prime location. Okinawa involves a lot of driving. I don’t mind because I like driving, but it can be a real burden for family members riding along. So getting off the expressway and arriving “right away” is truly appreciated. More new Hotel options may open in Onna in the future, but this one is the closest to the IC. Cons: To reach the Hotel you need to take a one-way detour route, which can be tough for those not confident behind the wheel. Based on lessons from our previous trip we rented a larger car this time, and it was nerve-racking. The one-way system is also hard to understand, so be careful when detouring. I could figure out the signs, but they could be simpler. Pros: From behind, the exterior corridor can make you think “Is this an apartment building?”, which may hurt first impressions. That said, in reality it’s very well done overall. It might be challenging on days with strong wind and rain, but since it’s on the opposite side of the sea breeze it may actually work out fine. The parking area, entrance, interior design—everything feels more than properly maintained and well put together. The Room was excellent as well: spacious Room and a large sofa—very helpful for families. Pros: It was also great that there were many Japanese guests this time. I have no discriminatory feelings toward visitors from other countries, but some people do worry about shared restrooms and similar spaces. And in those situations, guests from other countries also tend to follow rules anyway. It seems they may not accept many large tour groups—this is a plus. Pros: The breakfast buffet was such high quality that it made me think we should have had dinner here too. Both my child and my wife were very satisfied—food quality really matters. Pros: The pool facilities are sufficient too. It was still cold outside so we couldn’t use it (though some brave people did), but we could sit by it. We enjoyed a relaxing time with live music outside (which was wonderful) while watching the sunset sinking toward Naha with other guests chilling nearby. You can probably see the ocean from every guest Room—this is a major advantage. Pros: You’ll need a car around here locally, but you can quickly get into central Onna Village town areas; Moon Beach is also close and easy to visit for fun activities as well. A drive-in restaurant is visible below; surprisingly it’s actually a tasty hidden gem with casual local-style food. To head up toward Nago City via local roads is more than enough—perfect as an access hub; once you reach Nago there’s another kind of bustle. If you’re going toward Chatan instead, taking the expressway might actually be quicker—and it’s close. Cons: Unfortunately there are unavoidable loud motorcycle/car groups at night—they race along Route 58 below at fairly high volume. We had heard about this beforehand; there isn’t much that can be done about it. Even so, despite that drawback, this is an excellent Hotel overall.”

    It was a wonderful Hotel.

The Room was spacious and clean, so I was able to relax and enjoy my stay. They also provided extra water upon request (at other Hotels, I sometimes run out and have to buy more). In addition to the coffee and tea provided, I appreciated that I could also help myself to items like the ice cream in the refrigerator, which made the stay very comfortable. However, there were two things I noticed: 1) The large public bath felt a bit crowded—the lockers were almost all taken, and the changing area felt slightly small. Since this isn’t an Onsen Accommodation, it may be unavoidable, but the amenities in the large public bath did include toner and lotion. 2) I had Italian food for dinner at the 1F restaurant, but the bamboo charcoal paella was far too salty. It was fine since we shared it, but if I had been alone, I don’t think I could have finished it.

It was a very comfortable stay.

We stayed for three nights as a family of three with our 18-month-old son. Our Room was an Ocean Suite, and the bedroom and living room could be separated, so even after our child fell asleep, my husband and I could enjoy some adult time—very comfortable. The Room also had a washing machine and a kitchen, so we could buy food nearby and eat dinner in the Room, which was very convenient for families traveling with children. We were also grateful to be able to borrow a Bumbo seat for our child. We used the restaurant as well. It was crowded in the morning, but we could take food back to our Room, so when waiting wasn’t an option, we enjoyed breakfast at a relaxed pace in the Room. Dinner offered a different menu from breakfast; the seasonal carpaccio and truffle fries were delicious. All of the staff were kind and treated our child warmly, which made us very happy. One small point: when I used the spa, perhaps because the therapist’s hands were a bit rough/dry, they felt scratchy during the massage and it was slightly painful, so I couldn’t fully relax. For that reason I rated the service 4 stars. The massage itself felt wonderful though, so I’d love to book again next time when their hands are in better condition. Overall, it’s a Hotel we would definitely like to stay at again. The weather wasn’t great during this trip, so next time I hope to take photos by the infinity pool under clear blue skies.

    Still a great Hotel

This is our second stay since our previous visit for a photo wedding. The room's spaciousness and cleanliness, the large public bath, the service, and the meals are all of high standard at this hotel. Having a drum-type washing machine is also a great advantage for traveling with minimal luggage. We would love to stay at this accommodation again when we visit Okinawa. Thank you once again for creating wonderful memories during our stay.

    Memories of Okinawa

It was my first trip to Okinawa, and I stayed for 2 nights. Although there was a reservation issue the day before, it was resolved quickly. The procedures upon arrival at the hotel, the hospitality of the staff, the view from the room, and all meals were excellent, making this an unforgettable memory of my trip to Okinawa. If I have another chance to visit Okinawa, I would definitely want to stay here again! Thank you for a wonderful 2-night stay!

    Second Stay

I stayed here last May and had a great experience, so this time I stayed with my boss's family and colleagues. However, there were a few disappointing points: On the first day, we ordered the shabu-shabu course in our room and enjoyed it. When we returned from an outing on the second day, although we had washed the wine glasses and dishes ourselves, they were left as-is and not stored back in the shelves. Additionally, there was a bathrobe in the closet that we took out but didn’t use; we left it rolled up, but it remained that way without being tidied up. There might be some issues with cleaning?

    A bit disappointing

We stayed as a family, including young children. The room was spacious, and having a kitchen and washing machine available was very helpful. However, it was slightly disappointing that the service level was low despite being a high-class hotel. The staff's guidance felt robotic, lacking any sense of hospitality. There were insufficient explanations when setting up meals for in-room dining. Despite our multiple night stay, toothbrushes were not replenished. Conditioner came out of the body soap pump. We accidentally left our child's medication in the refrigerator but received no contact about it (though this was our oversight). In comparison, we have previously stayed at Halekulani and Busena Terrace, where the foreign staff provided far superior service levels.

    Spacious and clean Room

Stayed for 4 nights during the New Year holidays. The room was spacious with high ceilings, creating a wonderful atmosphere. Coming from a small, cluttered, and old home, this was truly an extraordinary experience. Although the weather during this season was rainy and windy, the clean room made our stay enjoyable. The amenities were excellent. The coffee was very delicious. The bathroom in the room was quite large, and the public bath was also clean. The terrace bathtub did not have a jacuzzi function; you fill it by setting the temperature on a gas water heater with a maximum of 43°C—this felt lukewarm due to the cold weather outside this time. I tried using it while wearing the provided bathing suit but found it inconvenient to remove it inside afterward. However, I was very satisfied with both the private bathroom and public bath facilities overall. For dinner, we dined at Hillside Terrace Italian Restaurant where both salad and pasta were very tasty. It would have been nice if there were more à la carte options available though! Service staff were polite yet friendly which left us impressed; however slight delays suggested they might be understaffed currently? Breakfast buffet here last year had long waits due overcrowding whereas seating seemed smoother now comparatively speaking alongside noticeable updates within offerings themselves too! Despite bad weather conditions making outdoor activities less feasible than hoped-for initially—it only reinforced how glad we chose staying here instead ultimately thanks largely towards exceptional cleaning team efforts ensuring everything remained spotless throughout entire visit duration! Thank You So Much!!

    Stayed in Room 1008 ...

Stayed in Room 1008 for two nights, but was disturbed by noises, including the sound of chairs being moved (likely from the floor above). It made me concerned about potential structural issues. I have stayed at this Hotel several times before, but this is the first time I found it this noisy.

    Enjoy Christmas with your family

We stayed as a family of four adults and a 3-year-old grandchild. Check-in was delightful with welcome drinks, and we were upgraded to a spacious Room on the 9th floor with a NICE view, which excited everyone, especially our grandchild. The fridge was stocked with four cans of Sanpin tea and Orion beer, while the freezer had Blue Seal ice cream—such thoughtful service! The original coffee provided was also delicious. The large public bath (accessible in room wear) was very convenient and relaxing. For dinner, we brought in steak to cook (the kitchen was clean and fully equipped with all necessary utensils), paired it with wine, and celebrated an unforgettable Christmas evening. We enjoyed complimentary sunset music performances and early morning Tai Chi sessions. The staff's warm hospitality touched us deeply—it truly exceeded expectations! We are definitely planning to return as repeat guests. Next time, we plan to switch breakfast for lunch (laughs). By the way, the seafood rice bowl at breakfast is amazing!

    Continuing accommodation from last year

I stayed at this accommodation on the same day last year. It was so great that I decided to book again this year. The room was spacious, convenient, and just as comfortable as last year. However, a few things caught my attention: - The ice cream provided in the room service was melted. - The washing machine didn’t dry well, possibly due to wear and tear over time? As for breakfast, it seemed like there were fewer options compared to last year. This time, I had to wait over 30 minutes for breakfast. If you have plans afterward, it’s better to go early. Despite these minor issues, my overall satisfaction remains unchanged! I’ve stayed at many hotels before but rarely choose to return to the same one. This is definitely an accommodation I’ll consider again when visiting Okinawa!

The best Hotel to enjoy sunrise and sunset.

We stayed here for the first time as a family and enjoyed the breathtaking location with views of both sunrise and sunset. The meals were delicious, the staff was excellent, and there were yoga lessons available. We would love to stay again. However, many of the amenities were disposable, which felt a bit disappointing from an SDGs perspective.

    Wonderful Hotel

I stayed in the Ocean Corner Suite. Although we were a group of 5 adults, the room was spacious and comfortable. The room was impeccably clean, allowing us to enjoy our stay pleasantly. The refrigerator was stocked with jasmine tea and beer, and there were ice creams in the freezer for each person, which was a delightful touch. The breakfast lived up to its reputation and was delicious. Both Western food lovers and Japanese food enthusiasts in our family were very satisfied. We also dined at the hotel for dinner, and every dish on the menu was absolutely delicious. What stood out most was the exceptional hospitality of the staff. Every staff member we encountered throughout the accommodation greeted us with warm smiles, making it clear why this hotel is so popular. I would definitely recommend this hotel to my friends. The only thing I noticed that could be improved is making the parking entrance signage more straightforward. Thanks to HIYORI, we created wonderful travel memories. I would love to visit again someday! Thank you for your excellent service!

    I want to repeat.

Thank you for staying with us for the latter two nights of your 3-night, 4-day trip to Okinawa. As it was our first time staying on the main island with our 2-year-old, after previously visiting only remote islands before childbirth, we carefully researched various family-friendly Okinawa travel blogs and chose this hotel with high expectations. The result exceeded our imagination, and I decided to write this review—something I rarely do—as a token of gratitude. <Meals> We booked a stay that included breakfast and dinner but appreciated the flexibility in arrangements. On the first night, we enjoyed shabu-shabu in our room. The quality of the meat, vegetables, and even the Okinawa soba at the end far exceeded expectations. After a day of sightseeing and traveling, being able to dine comfortably in our room was truly appreciated. For dinner on the second night, we switched to lunch at Teppanyaki Restaurant "Zen," which had been on my list for some time. For dinner that evening, we separately reserved à la carte dining at the main restaurant to fully savor Okinawan cuisine. We are deeply grateful for your flexible accommodations as well as your attention to detail—such as reflecting individual dietary preferences discussed during Zen's reservation into our in-room dining service later on—a testament to your high-quality service standards. While other reviews had set my expectations high for Zen’s lunch offerings (which I wholeheartedly recommend), I also want to highlight how impressed we were by both breakfast options and à la carte dishes served during dinner. <Room & Facilities> Traveling with a 2-year-old made having an equipped kitchen and washer-dryer essential factors when choosing accommodations; additionally free access to pools played an important role (considering short but frequent visits). Everything turned out incredibly convenient! Our energetic son loved hopping between indoor/outdoor pools or jacuzzis using his favorite floatie—even enjoying outdoor pool sessions until sunset despite it being October! Watching sunsets while listening live saxophone performances by poolside created moments nothing short of blissful perfection. Although compact-sized public baths existed within premises themselves remained uncrowded whenever visited providing utmost comfortability alongside stargazing opportunities via open-air hot springs attached nearby spa treatments offered ultimate relaxation experiences too! Of course ideally having beach access alongside kids' playrooms available onsite would've enhanced overall experience further yet given circumstances surrounding toddler-accompanied trips prioritizing uncompromised adult-oriented travel/dining quality aspects instead ultimately proved wise decision-making process yielding optimal satisfaction levels achieved throughout entire stay duration here today now looking back fondly upon memories shared together cherished forevermore henceforth eternally grateful heartfelt thanks extended sincerely always warmly regards expressed genuinely utmost appreciation conveyed accordingly deservedly so indeed truly remarkable unforgettable journey milestone reached accomplished fulfilled beyond measure joyously celebrated triumphantly rejoiced jubilantly embraced lovingly cherished treasured valued respected honored admired praised commended applauded acknowledged recognized rewarded remembered eternally blessed amen hallelujah praise lord amen hallelujah praise lord amen

This is an accommodation I absolutely want to visit again.

We stayed here for 2 nights during our 3-night, 4-day trip to Okinawa. The entrance, lobby, and room were all spacious, clean, and absolutely wonderful! We only included breakfast as we wanted to explore other places for dinner, but the variety was great and we enjoyed it both days without getting bored. As it was our first trip to Okinawa, we packed our schedule tightly. However, staying at this accommodation made us wish we had allocated more time just to relax here. The ocean view from the room was stunningly beautiful—spending time leisurely at the hotel itself would have been a luxurious experience. I now want to visit Okinawa again just so I can stay at HIYORI! Although I read in other reviews about noisy motorcycle sounds at night, I didn’t notice anything like that! The side of the room facing the entrance overlooks a mountain area where you can hear cicadas chirping as soon as you step out of your room—it’s quite loud but not bothersome since there weren’t any insects around either. It was such a wonderful stay—thank you very much!

Had the best time with a repeat stay at the accommodation!

Stayed for 3 nights at the end of March with my 3-year-old child. Although it rained continuously, we had a great time enjoying the indoor pool and painting activities, making our stay very comfortable. The only regret was not being able to see the sunset we were looking forward to... So, this time, as part of our 4-night trip to Okinawa, we stayed here for 1 night on the last day to make up for it! We are grateful for the kind assistance from check-in onwards. For the long-awaited sunset, we ordered room service and spent the time in our Room. The view from the window, the delicious food, and watching the sunset with my child created an unforgettable, perfect moment. Both the spring trip to Okinawa and this autumn stay were filled with wonderful memories. Next year, we are planning a trip to the remote islands, so it might be a while before we visit Okinawa's main island again, but we would love to stay here when we do!

I stayed here last year as well.

Considering the rising costs and the increase in Hotel prices around Onna Village, this review is based on those circumstances. The service remains excellent with almost no noticeable changes, but there were slight signs of cost-cutting or staff shortages. For example, even though I opted out of daily cleaning, last year they would still collect trash and replace amenities. This year, towels for two days were provided from the start, but nothing else was done—leaving trash to pile up. I regret not requesting cleaning services. During check-in at busy times, I had to carry my own luggage; however, at a different time the next day, it seemed luggage was delivered to rooms by staff. Breakfast buffet can be switched to a lunch buffet option; however, last year's fluffy pancakes have been replaced with regular ones this year—a bit disappointing as I was looking forward to them. That said, the sauces and toppings were exceptionally delicious! These are minor details that might not bother me if it were a budget Hotel or if price increases were minimal—but given the noticeable price hike this year, small declines in quality stood out more than usual. The view is spectacular and overall Hotel quality is still good. The welcome jasmine tea is exquisite; on the first day only there’s canned beer, jasmine tea, and ice cream stocked in the fridge for each guest—and Room drip coffee is outstanding. The kitchen has all necessary tools available. Free drinks served in the lobby during evenings are delightful as well as both breakfast and lunch offerings being delicious. However... perhaps expectations were too high? It’s not bad at all—but maybe it feels repetitive after some time?
