    Accommodation for Inspiration and Relaxation

    Our family has stayed several times at the group accommodations (Akakura, Tofuya), but this time we decided to visit here for the first time after being intrigued by its high review ratings. From the moment we arrived at the entrance with our car, we were reassured by the smooth service. Upon entering the lobby, we were greeted with a breathtaking view that made us exclaim "Wow!" The variety of welcome drinks and stylish snacks was delightful, and dinner—a private Japanese meal—offered exceptional hospitality. We were also touched by a congratulatory message plate and sweets presented for my mother-in-law's 77th birthday celebration, which brought great joy to our entire family. We enjoyed both the deep bath and in-room bath, and above all, it was an incredibly quiet accommodation where we could truly relax. As Diamond members, we received outstanding hospitality that exceeded expectations. This is an accommodation worthy of its high reviews—a place we'd love to revisit. Our heartfelt thanks!

    Highly recommended.

    I finally had the chance to stay at the accommodation I had wanted to visit since its opening. I was worried that my high expectations might lead to disappointment, but I ended up having an absolutely wonderful time. As mentioned on the accommodation's website, we followed the signs instead of relying on GPS and made our way up the mountain. Upon arrival, we were immediately struck by the breathtaking view from the lobby. The weather was perfect that day, and we could clearly see Niijima Island in a stunning panorama. We were cheerfully guided to our room through a serene space with a tranquil water feature where no sound could be heard—a truly soothing experience. We passed through this area multiple times during our stay and each time remarked how much we appreciated its peacefulness. The layout of our room was as expected—functional and comfortable—with excellent bedding and amenities leaving nothing to be desired. Our room on the 4th floor offered an outstanding view, including a perfect sunrise on the following morning. The bath facilities were exceptional as well. The limited number of faucets didn’t bother us at all; instead, soaking up to my chest while enjoying both silence and spectacular views made me lose track of time entirely. In the morning, I leisurely watched another beautiful sunrise from there—it felt like pure luxury! Post-bath refreshments included mini beer cans (just right!) and ice cream (Pino), which added a delightful touch. Of course, having an open-air bath in our room was also fantastic. For meals, we chose Japanese cuisine for both dinner and breakfast. Dinner featured kaiseki dishes that were simple yet satisfying with local ingredients from Izu thoughtfully incorporated into every dish. Since there seemed to be no other guests dining at that time, it allowed us plenty of quiet moments to savor each bite fully—and they even accommodated allergies perfectly. Breakfast included freshly cooked rice served straight from an earthen pot alongside hearty miso soup filled with ingredients plus various side dishes such as grilled kinmedai fish paired beautifully with roasted seaweed reminiscent of what we'd seen before at Tofuya Resort—absolutely fulfilling! Chatting across-the-counter about New Year preparations being done by one chef inspired thoughts about visiting during year-end festivities someday too! Having first learned about this spa & resort after visiting Akakura Kanko Hotel followed by several trips back exploring Tofuya itself—we finally fulfilled long-held wishes arriving here now realizing despite higher price points initially perceived—it’s undoubtedly worth returning repeatedly given its healing ambiance making it invaluable among cherished accommodations indeed! We will definitely return again soon!

    Accommodation for the Best Experience

    I chose this accommodation as I was casually searching in the Izu area and found it had high reviews and rooms with private open-air onsen. Taking advantage of the opportunity, I used the Saphir Odoriko train to reach the nearest station, where a bus was already waiting. Passing through the onsen town near the station and climbing up a mountain for 15 minutes, we arrived at a location with a breathtaking ocean view from the lobby, especially since the weather was perfect. For dinner, we opted for a teppanyaki course limited to four groups per day. Although our reservation was after 7 PM, it felt like perfect timing as we checked in at 3 PM and had plenty of time to relax while enjoying both the scenery and baths beforehand. The chef prepared each dish right before us; every bite was exquisite, making it an enjoyable sensory experience accompanied by delightful conversation. Each room has its own private open-air onsen sourced directly from hot springs. While there is only one deep bath in the public bath area—which initially concerned me—I realized upon visiting that it exceeded expectations and left me completely satisfied. The relaxation space offers complimentary ice cream, jelly desserts, small canned drinks (juice, soda, alcohol), which added to our enjoyment. Having an onsen attached directly to each room is also quite rare. Surrounded by mountains all around, it's incredibly peaceful here. As it happened just after a full moon during our stay, we could enjoy both its reflection over the night sea as well as sunrise views. Being wintertime made for crisp air that felt refreshing too. This accommodation is ideal for escaping city noise and spending tranquil moments away from urban life’s hustle-bustle! With fewer rooms divided into east-west wings ensuring minimal interaction with other guests—except perhaps during meals or occasionally at public baths—it even felt like having exclusive access (despite staying over weekends). Every staff member displayed exceptional hospitality; their thoughtful gestures were impeccable down to every detail—making this truly one of my best stays ever! I would love to visit again!

    Perfect Accommodation

    I was amazed by this flawless accommodation. I've visited many places before, but this accommodation is the best of the best and has set a new record for me. It was truly wonderful. I will definitely return. The standing bath is more comfortable than sitting baths. The food was also incredibly delicious and left a deep impression on me. This is unrelated to the accommodation itself, but it was my fault for not thoroughly reading the website beforehand. When I followed navigation or Google Maps, it directed me to turn right at Okawa Onsen instead of Atagawa Onsen, leading me onto an unexpected rough path that made for a very challenging drive...

    The open-air large bath is exceptional.

    The Room amenities and facilities were excellent, making for a very comfortable stay. The luxurious touches like aromatherapy, speakers, and skincare products were impressive. However, there were two spots where trash from the previous guest was left in the Room: the refrigerator and the bathroom. This was disappointing for a luxury Hotel and dampened our mood initially. The open-air bath with deep water was truly delightful; we enjoyed it multiple times. The view was absolutely stunning during both daytime and nighttime. The welcome drink and appetizer plate at the bakery were delicious and a pleasant surprise. Additionally, there were other lounges and even a garden with foot baths, offering plenty of ways to enjoy our time within the Facility. The breathtaking views from the lobby, terrace, or anywhere else in the Hotel added to its charm. The Japanese-style breakfast was incredibly delicious and highly satisfying. While dinner's Japanese cuisine was generally tasty as well, it could be slightly more refined to enhance the experience further.

    Excellent

    The view was amazing. The staff's smiles and service were excellent, making for a pleasant stay. However, the only downside was having to change into casual clothes every time we went to the restaurant or café. This time we stayed for 2 nights, but next time we plan to stay for 3-4 nights. Highly recommended resort for everyone!

    Family Trip

    The weather was perfect, making it a wonderful vacation. Above all, the private use of the large public bath was amazing. The deep bath was also very enjoyable. The Room was clean with a great view, and since it was a warm day, we spent quality time on the terrace having tea and stargazing. Dinner was chef's choice, but as I love Japanese cuisine, I was delighted with the shabu-shabu. However, breakfast started at 8:00 AM, and as soon as we sat down, we were told that due to full occupancy that day, we needed to leave by 8:50 AM. It didn’t seem like other guests received such instructions; it felt like only we were told this and left us feeling slightly uncomfortable. We had no intention of lingering in the first place but being told this before eating made it hard to enjoy the meal’s taste. We hurriedly ate and left. Since there aren’t many Rooms in total at your Hotel anyway, instead of saying "full occupancy," perhaps you could allow more flexibility with time or increase seating capacity? Even gently encouraging guests who have finished their meals would suffice in my opinion... The gentleman who guided us during check-in had such a pleasant demeanor that it set a wonderful tone for our stay—making this experience even more disappointing by comparison. It is truly a lovely Hotel overall; I hope to visit again during another beautiful season! Thank you for your hospitality during our stay!

    It was wonderful.

    I stayed with my wife’s parents in their 80s. From the warm welcome upon arrival to the farewell after check-out, everything was handled with care and kindness, allowing us to have a very pleasant stay. The room was clean, and the view from the room was excellent, making it truly enjoyable. Although we didn’t upgrade our dinner course, we could choose the main dish, and the portions were more than sufficient for us—very satisfying overall. My wife’s parents were also very pleased, making it a wonderful trip. Thank you very much!

    Memorable Izu Trip

    We stayed here for a trip with my 88-year-old mother and my spouse. Upon arrival, we were immediately impressed by the stunning view of the Izu sea from the front desk. To ensure my mother could rest well at night, we booked two Rooms on the 3rd floor of the West Wing for three people. The view from our Room was also amazing, and we enjoyed relaxing in the private Onsen open-air bath while taking in the scenery. Since our Room was close to the large public Onsen bath, we used it several times during our one-night stay. The deep standing open-air bath was unique and offered great views, though it might not be as enjoyable for shorter individuals. For meals, we opted for an upgraded Western course menu. While not particularly innovative, each dish was thoughtfully prepared and delicious. They kindly adjusted one portion to a smaller size for my mother with a small appetite so she could enjoy every course until the end. The staff were friendly and efficient in their service. After dinner, we enjoyed foot baths and nighttime views at WAVE Garden. The Resort Room was spacious with beautifully arranged furniture and decor that allowed us to relax comfortably. The facility is quite large and may be confusing to navigate at first until you get used to it. We also bought bread from Bakery & Table on our way home—it was delicious! We would love to visit again if given another opportunity!

    It seems there may be a staff shortage, but efforts are being made to manage it well.

    It was my first visit in about a year. I have been here many times, but I requested guidance to the Room. Services may have changed, so it’s best to ask questions on the spot if any doubts arise. The changes this time seemed to be: - The Welcome Drink in the Resort Room has been replaced by a bakery café. - Snacks are no longer self-service but have been slightly upgraded. - The Resort Room now offers coffee and tea and is used more like a library space. These changes might have reduced guests who linger for long hours drinking alcohol, making it easier to accommodate smaller groups. The Facility, amenities, and view (though visibility was poor due to bad weather except for Oshima) remain excellent as always. Cleaning of the large public bath (tidying up and replenishing towels and bath towels) was also well-maintained. For dinner, we splurged on teppanyaki; however, the grilled vegetables served as sides were too firm. For breakfast, seeing that "omelets or other egg dishes" still hadn’t returned according to photos at reception, we opted for Japanese-style breakfast instead—it was the right choice. Overall, I felt they are doing their best despite limitations in staff numbers!

    I visited for the first time with my family on my birthday. The facility and room had a wonderful resort feel! The spa was excellent. I was looking forward to the Moon Road and stargazing, but unfortunately, the weather didn’t cooperate. The next morning, it was raining and foggy, making everything white around us, but it felt like being above the clouds, which was also quite nice. Dinner was Western-style cuisine. At the end of the meal, I received a birthday plate and an assortment of cookies; however, since I had a spa reservation afterward, I couldn’t eat them and asked to have them wrapped up. Unfortunately, I accidentally left them at the restaurant... Late at night when I realized this mistake, I inquired at the front desk but received word from the restaurant in the morning that they had already been disposed of. While it’s my fault for forgetting them behind, it was very disappointing nonetheless.

    Active Senior Getaway for Two

    The mountain path to the accommodation was a bit tricky, but we were thrilled upon arrival and amazed by the view. It’s a cozy accommodation, and the sunset and sunrise from Aqua Bridge were absolutely stunning. The welcome drink came with an authentic snack set, sparkling wine, and an exceptional view. Soaking in the open-air bath while gazing at the moon was a first-time experience and truly unforgettable. The chef's choice dinner was delicious, featuring fresh vegetables, plenty of fish, tasty bread, and more—leaving us completely satisfied. We also enjoyed table tennis after dinner; there’s even a gym! Next time we’d love to plan for a multiple night stay. Since we play tennis as well, having tennis courts would make it perfect. With its onsen, healthy cuisine, breathtaking views, and opportunities for exercise—it has become one of our favorites! We’re considering visiting again quietly at the end of January for some relaxation.

    Spectacular Pacific Ocean Views × Exquisite Izu Cuisine × Deep Onsen Bathhouse

    Having previously stayed at Akakura Kanko Hotel and thoroughly enjoyed it, I chose this hotel from the same group. Arriving early, I enjoyed a welcome drink at the café "Bakery & Table" while waiting for my room to be ready. The selection included not only soft drinks but also sparkling wine, red and white wine. The plate with crackers topped with paste, pickles, dried fruits, and sable cookies felt like a mini afternoon tea—an excellent start to my stay. The room was spacious with a terrace where I relaxed before heading to the deep bath in the large communal Onsen. Since every room has its own open-air Onsen bath, I had the large communal bath all to myself—a truly luxurious experience. Dinner featured local autumn ingredients such as "Hamana Lake Eel" and "Amagi Venison," offering rich flavors that were absolutely delicious. Breakfast was Japanese-style with thoughtful touches like seaweed served in a charcoal-infused box. The water feature near the front desk and views from Aqua Bridge connecting East and West wings reminded me of Akakura Kanko Hotel's charm. Lowering your gaze reveals an infinity effect where the water seems to flow seamlessly into the Pacific Ocean. The private open-air Onsen in my room had just the right temperature, allowing me to enjoy it while gazing out at the sea. After checking out but before taking the shuttle service bus, I spent some time enjoying lunch using free drink tickets and a 10% discount on bread at "Bakery & Table." This hotel is perfect for a relaxing getaway as you can enjoy your time both before check-in and after check-out comfortably. The staff provided attentive service that made even first-time visitors feel at ease throughout their stay. The only disappointment was being unable to see sunrise due to morning clouds—not something within control of the hotel! With good weather conditions next time, guests can enjoy stunning views of Sun Road or Moon Road directly from their rooms—I look forward to another chance!

    Resort Hotel with Beautiful Views

    We were blessed with great weather and enjoyed a wonderful time while admiring the beautiful scenery. Thank you for accommodating our requests. This time, we encountered a noisy group in the public bath and decided to leave early, opting to enjoy the bath in our Room instead. Time flew by so quickly. It seems like a Multiple Night Stay would be necessary to fully enjoy the courtyard at a leisurely pace. Thank you as always, W-san. We look forward to visiting again!

    Everything was wonderful!

    Thank you for your hospitality. The approach to the Room and the view were wonderful. Both the Room and the meals were excellent. The baths, both in the Room and in the large public bath, felt connected to the outdoors, allowing us to enjoy fresh air, which was truly satisfying.     This was my second stay. The location, facility, Onsen temperature, and quality were all excellent. This time, I was upgraded to a very nice room, and I am grateful to all the staff for their hospitality. I would love to visit again. However, the service quality of some staff members and the operation during the Japanese breakfast were disappointing.

    Three months ago, I planned a solo trip as a reward for my retirement and carefully chose this hotel. My conditions were: a spacious room with an open-air bath, the ability to enjoy meals comfortably alone, and beautiful facilities overall. After staying here, if I were to write a review... it would be perfect. The room and facilities were spotless. The meals were flawless. It became a trip where being alone felt like happiness. The calm demeanor of all the staff helped ease any tension I had traveling solo. While I usually tend to be slightly critical in reviews, there are no negatives this time. This is definitely a hotel I want to visit again!

    Upon arrival at the Hotel, they were moved by the breathtaking view and shared photos with us. They also expressed their gratitude for the warm congratulatory words from the staff. The hospitality, along with the stunning scenery, Room, Facility, and cuisine, was exceptional and created unforgettable memories. Even after check-out, they enjoyed a relaxing time at the spa and other amenities within the Hotel. They mentioned that "One night is not enough; we would love to visit again."     The service and Facility were excellent and very relaxing. The only downside was the table arrangement at the Japanese restaurant, as the tables were too close to the neighboring seats, which felt a bit uncomfortable. It is a Hotel I would like to visit again.

    Moon Road

    Stayed the night before the full moon. By chance, I was able to see the enchanting view of the "Moon Road," where moonlight reflects on the sea surface, from the large public bath. It was truly magical and beautiful. The teppanyaki dinner was also exquisite, with each dish carefully prepared. The steamed golden eye snapper with vegetables and spiny lobster were especially delicious. The local craft beer called "Moon Road" paired perfectly as well. The bed was extremely comfortable for a great night's sleep.

    But with a stunning view...

    This was my third visit as I was impressed during my previous stay. I invited my relatives and booked 2 Rooms for one night. Since it was close to my birthday, my husband secretly arranged a surprise cake for me, which was brought out during dinner. The staff who served us was very kind, helped cut the cake, and celebrated with us, which made me very happy. Thank you so much. However, during checkout, I was charged for the cake (even though my husband had told me he had already paid for it after dinner). I paid the bill, wondering why it was included. Later, when my husband confirmed he had indeed paid, we informed the front desk, and they apologized, saying it was their mistake. Since it was a surprise, my husband was upset that the cost of the cake was revealed, and he lost trust in the front desk. It also raised questions about how information is managed and why it wasn’t reflected in the system. Additionally, the lounge under the name of "Resort Room" had disappointing drink offerings. While some staff provided excellent service, others were unfriendly. My husband was very upset about the situation with the cake, and overall, this stay left us feeling disappointed. I hope improvements are made, as we might consider staying again in the future.

    A luxurious accommodation perfect for those in their 20s.

    In conclusion, it was the best accommodation filled with exceptional hospitality. We booked the anniversary cake plan for our first birthday celebration together. We stayed in the East Terrace Twin A room. Before our stay, we requested flowers, and the staff paid close attention to details such as colors and types, leaving a great impression even before our arrival. However, the surprises continued throughout our stay. What stood out the most was not only the facility but also the attentiveness of the staff. Regarding the facility, everything we needed was conveniently located exactly where we wanted it. The footbath area in the courtyard had towels nearby, making it easy to visit empty-handed. The post-onsen relaxation area in the large public bath offered a variety of ice cream, beer, and non-alcoholic beverages, making the almost private onsen experience even more enjoyable! The lounge, accessible even after checkout, provided free coffee, tea, and other drinks, along with table tennis and board games for a relaxing and fun time. As for the room, it was equipped with a music speaker, a TV with subscription services, and a fridge stocked with a variety of complimentary drinks, ensuring a comfortable stay. Additionally, two sets of towels per person were provided, allowing us to enjoy baths in the room both in the morning and evening. Choosing from bathrobes, pajamas, or yukata for post-bath attire was also a delightful touch. The open-air bath, designed to let the breeze in, was absolutely fantastic! What left the most lasting impression, however, was the hospitality of the staff. They offered suggestions for meal times, valet service, and even at the bakery-side restaurant we visited for lunch the next day, they provided complimentary drinks and snacks exclusive to guests, even though we hadn’t mentioned we were staying there. The most memorable moment was during dinner. Recognizing the birthday celebration, they prepared a private room for us, and every staff member greeted us with a warm "Congratulations!" They also presented the flowers at the perfect timing after the meal. The meals—dinner, breakfast, and lunch—were all incredibly delicious. The pumpkin cold soup and venison during dinner were particularly memorable, with their rich flavors. The Moon Road and courtyard, where the breeze gently passed through, were also wonderful places to relax! It became an unforgettable memory. We will definitely visit again. Highly, highly recommended!

    A Premier Destination in Kanto for an Extraordinary Experience

    Beyond imagination and expectations! The breakfast was delicious, the space was wonderful, and the service had a perfect balance of attentiveness and support, making it a Hotel I want to visit again. This time I had Western cuisine for dinner, so next time I’d like to try Japanese cuisine. It seems there are quite a lot of solo travelers, especially women, which makes sense. For those feeling overwhelmed by busyness, this place offers a sense of liberation and is highly recommended.

    The standing bath is delightful.

    The large public bath with the standing bath was incredibly enjoyable. The view was open, with city lights below and the dark sea in the distance (though not visible at night). One slight downside was the abundance of insects, which was a bit troublesome. The teppanyaki dinner was very satisfying. However, I found the thick-tipped disposable chopsticks provided during the meal difficult to use, which was a bit disappointing. I also wished the cutlery could be changed with each course. Other than that, I had a wonderful time.

    The staff are wonderful. The temperature of the indoor Onsen felt a bit low. The spa is excellent. The French dinner was gentle in flavor, but felt a bit bland.
