    Quick response

    The Facility is new and clean, with thorough housekeeping. To access floors above the lobby, you need to use your key card for the elevator to operate, ensuring excellent security. While walking inside the Hotel, I noticed a guest smoking in the hallway. Instead of addressing it directly, I called the Hotel staff, and they promptly responded with 2-3 staff members handling the situation efficiently. There was complimentary welcome coffee available in the lobby. On the first floor, there is a restaurant operated by MUJI offering mainly Western cuisine for dinner. Breakfast had a variety of options with standard menu items typically seen elsewhere. The location is excellent—close to Kamakura Station and Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine!

    Excellent Location

    Close to Kamakura Station and Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine, the location was perfect for sightseeing. The Room was clean. The corner room had large windows that let in plenty of light, which was nice, but it seemed quite visible from outside. I felt it offered good value for money. Breakfast was at MUJI on the first floor, but the taste was not very impressive.

    I had a comfortable stay.

    We used this for a couple's trip to Kamakura. We searched for a non-smoking Plan near Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine with a unit bath, and found the perfect Plan, so we made the Reservation. The Room had just the right amount of space, and the bathtub was shaped comfortably around the neck area, which helped relieve our fatigue after walking extensively. Breakfast included items from MUJI and was delicious; however, I think it could have been even better if the rice was cooked slightly softer. The luggage storage service after checkout was very helpful. Next time, we would like to try sightseeing on a rickshaw!

    Highly Satisfied

    I stayed for 2 nights and 3 days with breakfast included from March 11 to 13. The location near Kamakura Station was excellent, and I was very satisfied with the luxurious Hotel! The amenities included items like cooling patches and MegRhythm, which were very useful since there was a lot of walking during Kamakura sightseeing. As a request, I borrowed a hair iron that could be used for both curling and straightening. However, as someone who has only used straightening irons before, I found the curling function difficult to use. The design made it hard to straighten close to the roots properly, resulting in me burning my forehead! Many other hotels provide two separate irons, so I hope you can consider this option. Additionally, after checking out, I discovered there was a booklet about dining options in the area. It would have been helpful if this had been introduced at check-in. I would love to stay at Hotel Metropolitan Kamakura again when visiting Kamakura. Thank you very much!

    A touch of elegance befitting an ancient city

    It was our first time in Kamakura, staying as a couple. From the entrance to the lobby, it felt like walking through a serene bamboo grove. The room's atmosphere was both modern and very elegant—simply excellent. Additionally, the Diamond Member perks included high-quality cosmetics that my wife absolutely loved.

    This was my third stay, and the Room with a garden terrace had a full glass wall, offering an amazing sense of openness. The well-maintained Room, abundant amenities, and excellent front desk service made for a very comfortable stay. The only slight disappointment was that the hot water didn't get warm enough. However, with its great location, I would definitely love to stay here again.

    The location is excellent.

    The location was ideal for sightseeing in Kamakura, being close to Kamakura Station and convenient for visiting Tsurugaoka Hachimangu. The Hotel itself had a calm color scheme and a sense of cleanliness, with spacious rooms that allowed for ample relaxation. Although I did not have any meals, the ease of use of the tea utensils in the room is also a high point.

    The service provided by the male staff at the front desk was disappointing.

    I was told coldly to rebook if I wanted to stay, as it seemed I had accidentally reserved a room that did not meet the conditions. The front desk wasn't particularly busy, but there was no follow-up and we were left stranded as an elderly couple over 65. When my wife consulted with another female staff member, she kindly taught us how to reserve again. We are grateful for that. If we hadn't consulted her, we would have had to pay the full cancellation fee. The next day, we stayed at Exiv Hakone Rikyu (Ekushibu Hakone Rikyuu), and all the staff's service was excellent and the food was delicious, so we couldn't help but compare. I commented in hopes that in the future all staff will be kind to elderly guests as well at this hotel.

    Perfect for sightseeing in Kamakura.

    I visited to take a leisurely look at Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine, and the morning visit was wonderful. It is convenient for going anywhere. Once you step into the Hotel, you are soothed by the aroma scent, and although the moderate twin Room is compact, it is very functional. Above all, having a separate bath was attractive. The staff at the front desk were courteous and made me want to visit this Hotel again.

    It was comfortable.

    The location is convenient, close to the station and with good access to Komachi Street. We left our car and fully enjoyed sightseeing and gourmet experiences. The Hotel was very clean, and the staff were extremely kind. I would like to use it again. Highly recommended.

    Your regular property for Kamakura trips

    Close to Kamakura Station, with a supermarket across the street and a convenience store next door, it was very convenient and you can easily access Komachi Street. The Room was simple and clean, and the room I stayed in had separate toilet and bath facilities, allowing for a relaxing bath experience. The TV allowed viewing of content beyond terrestrial channels such as YouTube, which was also nice. There is a MUJI cafe on the first floor, which I found convenient as well. Breakfast was offered as a buffet Plan at this cafe. I would like to use this Hotel again when traveling to Kamakura.

    I read in a review that there is a coffee machine in the lobby, so I was thinking of buying some Japanese sweets and having them when I checked in. However, the coffee was available from 5 PM. It's a pity; it would be nice if it were available from check-in time. It was helpful to have two bottles of water per person in the room! It would be great if there were water like a cold-water dispenser in the ice machine room.

    Trip to Kamakura with My Daughter

    It was a lovely hotel, conveniently located near Kamakura Station, perfect for sightseeing. The room was clean, and the bed was so comfortable that I fell asleep immediately. I appreciated the thoughtful amenities like hairbands, two types of bath salts, a hot eye mask, and foot sheets after a tiring day of walking. Unfortunately, there was only a skincare set for the night. We used my daughter's products for the next morning as we hadn't informed them in advance that two women would be staying. However, breakfast the next morning was very satisfying with plenty of delicious Kamakura vegetables to enjoy. Lastly, the staff who assisted us when we left our luggage before check-in and those who guided us during breakfast were particularly pleasant and made me want to use this property again.

    Breakfast is excellent.

    The breakfast was really delicious and made me happy from the morning. When I went to drop off my luggage before check-in, the Room was already ready, and I was able to enter the Room. They also kept my luggage after check-out, making it a truly ideal Hotel for sightseeing. The amenities were plentiful, and the bath salts were really appreciated for my tired body. It was a Hotel I definitely want to visit again.

    Our family was well taken care of.

    I made a reservation but couldn't go, so I had my family and friends stay instead. I thought the Diamond Member benefits would apply, but it seems they are only available if the member is present, which was disappointing for me. I understand it's probably unavoidable... They mentioned that their stay was fine overall, so I gave 4 stars. However, they said breakfast was cold and lacked variety. At 3,000 yen per person, they felt it wasn't worth it anymore. Also, I emailed about the change in guests beforehand but did not receive a response from the hotel. Based on my past experiences, I expected a reply and was surprised not to get one. Thank you for taking care of my family during their stay.

    We used the room for two people, so it was nice to have slippers in different colors for easy distinction. The washbasin table was spacious and convenient to use. However, I think it would have been even better if there were two washbasins. Overall, the room was spacious and comfortable, and the breakfast was good. It would be perfect if the quality of the hairdryer could be improved. Thank you.

    A flawless Hotel

    This time, we stayed in a No Meals Included Room on the 2nd floor of a hotel with a new building and a good room layout, making it very clean. It is conveniently located near Kamakura Station, providing easy access. If you are using it for sightseeing in Kamakura, you can leave your luggage and quickly head into the city, enjoying a stroll while sampling local foods. We went by car this time, so we made a reservation for parking, and the size was more than enough for my Land Cruiser. The underground parking provides security, offering peace of mind. The dedicated parking seems to have a limited number of spaces, so advance reservation is essential.

    The location is excellent.

    Kamakura is always crowded, but this location is excellent. Just a few minutes from the station to Hachimangu Shrine. Quiet and convenient for shopping. The meals were delicious. The front desk was kind and it was a pleasant experience. However, the back of the hotel is a sports gym, and this room is in full view. You can manage with curtains. I would like to use this hotel again.

    Highly recommended.

    I stayed in the Premium Corner Twin, attracted by the view of Dankazura and the torii gate from the window. Since it was on the 3rd floor, I was a bit concerned about people on the street even with the lace curtains closed, but it was a lovely Room. First of all, the front desk staff's service was exceptionally wonderful, with their smiles, choice of words, and attentiveness. The Room's amenities were well-equipped and enjoyable. The bathroom, which included a washing area, had a small tsuboniwa-style view, allowing for a relaxing soak. The living area, which was slightly elevated, had footlights at the base, so there was no risk of tripping. The distance to Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine was perfect for a stroll, whether during the evening or early morning. The breakfast buffet by MUJI offered a variety of options, and the staff's attentiveness made it a delicious experience. The only thing that bothered me was the bed-making; I would have preferred the duvet to be placed a bit closer to the pillow. It was tucked in tightly, making it frustrating to pull out, and my shoulders got cold, so I ended up moving the pillow away from the headboard to sleep lower down. Next time, I plan to stay in the same Room on the 5th floor.

    The room was ready an hour before check-in, allowing us to relax before exploring the area around the hotel. On the day of our stay, we were offered an upgraded room at a special price, allowing us to enjoy a more spacious room. The view from the room was also great, allowing us to enjoy the scenery. The breakfast buffet had a wide variety of options, and we were very satisfied.

    I went in the afternoon to leave my luggage. I was offered a spacious Room with a nice view, and although I paid a little extra, I was able to check in immediately, which was appreciated. The morning walk with the former rickshaw driver was also interesting as we toured the back alleys. The breakfast with plenty of Kamakura vegetables was also delicious. I would like to stay again when I visit Kamakura.

    Hatsumode to Hachimangu Shrine

    This year, I stayed for one night at the Metropolitan Hotel Kamakura and visited Kamakura Hachimangu Shrine for the New Year's visit with plenty of time. The hotel room was a superior twin along Wakamiya Oji, with a view of the second torii gate. It provided a good understanding of the movement of the town of Kamakura, and the presence of the torii created a New Year's atmosphere. Although this room is compact at 28m3, it is functionally designed, which impressed me and allowed me to have a comfortable time. The staff at the front desk were very courteous, making my stay pleasant. Thank you very much. I will use it again.
