    Attentive service

    Despite being fully booked, the atmosphere was quiet and relaxing. The service was attentive and well-judged—never excessive—and the staff maintained a high standard of hospitality while occasionally showing a warm, down-to-earth friendliness. Although we could only see Mt. Fuji on the first day, it was a very satisfying trip overall. Thank you very much.

    The Room was spaciou...

    The Room was spacious and comfortable, with a panoramic view of Mt. Fuji from the window. Breakfast was also very delicious. I will stay here again.

    Enjoy stunning views of Mt. Fuji.

    The weather cleared in the morning, and we were moved to see a magnificent view of Mt. Fuji from our Room. My wife was also delighted with the excellent dinner while watching the fountain show, making it a very satisfying trip.

    All the staff were wonderful.

    It seems you had checked our past stay records, and without us having to say anything, you kindly took my mother’s food allergies into consideration. All of the other staff were wonderful as well. This was the best Hotel we have ever stayed at. These days, even when Accommodation rates are not cheap, many Hotels leave everything up to the guests at check-in and often lack thoughtful service—but it’s rare to find such an excellent Hotel. We would love to visit again. Thank you very much.

    Relaxing getaway for couples

    I stayed here because I simply wanted to relax at the Hotel. The weather was great, and the view of Mt. Fuji from the observation room was spectacular! If I had to ask for more, it would have been even better if there were a terrace where you could enjoy the view outside. I was a bit disappointed that the open-air bath didn’t really feel like you could soak while taking in the outdoor scenery. The Room was spacious, clean, and very comfortable. I could also see Mt. Fuji from the window! With late check-out until 12:00, I was able to stay at the Hotel and truly unwind for the first time in a long while. I was also very satisfied with the staff’s service.

    I was satisfied.

    From arrival, we were warmly welcomed by the staff, and everyone was pleasant throughout our stay. Dinner was a teppanyaki course; each dish was thoughtfully prepared and very delicious. However, wine was ¥10,000+ per bottle, ¥1,800 per glass; beer was ¥1,000; sake was more reasonably priced at ¥2,100 for 300 ml. The only disappointment was breakfast, which felt rather ordinary. Overall we were very satisfied and would definitely like to return.

    Hotel Resort & Restaurant Mars Garden Wood Gotemba

    This was my first stay. The lobby, hallways, Room, and even the large public bath were all very clean. For dinner, I enjoyed a teppanyaki course. The chef cooked skillfully right in front of me, and the menu was varied—foie gras, Ise lobster, splendid alfonsino, and Wagyu beef. The ingredients and sauces were thoughtfully prepared as well, making it a delicious and enjoyable time. I also appreciated the underground parking lot, which kept me dry even on rainy days. Thank you to all the staff for their pleasant service. Thank you very much.

    A Hotel facing severe staff shortages

    This Hotel is clearly understaffed. The front desk is unreachable, and the service is not attentive... It feels like an inbound Hotel geared toward Chinese guests...

    Everything exceeds expectations for the price!!

    I already knew from a previous visit that the dining is excellent, and this time I made a Reservation with a Plan that includes breakfast only. Even though the price was as affordable as a Business Hotel, I arrived at night and was warmly welcomed at the entrance with smiles. They also carried my luggage to my Room. The spacious public bath, open-air bath, and sauna felt like they were all to myself. The changing area was kept very clean. All my fatigue melted away. Breakfast the next morning was also delicious in a semi-private space filled with morning sunlight. Thank you very much for such a pleasant stay!

    Thank you for always providing the same soothing comfort.

    I know I end up saying the same thing every time, but the staff’s manners and service are wonderful, and the cleaning and garden maintenance are done with great care. Every time we visit, we’re reminded how exceptional this place is. For dinner, we always debate between teppanyaki, Kyoto-style kaiseki, and Italian cuisine—and no matter what we choose, it’s delicious and makes for a truly lovely evening. Even when we already know what to expect at breakfast, it’s consistently excellent, so it’s something we genuinely look forward to. In short, everything here suits my taste perfectly. I’m sure there are different opinions out there, but my family and I absolutely love this Hotel—thank you as always, and we look forward to returning again. Something made me especially happy this time. There is a foreign staff member whose refined mannerisms (honestly more “Japanese” than many Japanese people) left a strong impression on us. We hadn’t seen them on our previous visit and felt disappointed, wondering if they had returned home—but this time they were here again. We learned that they had taken parental leave after the birth of their child. What wonderful news. Seeing how carefully international staff are trained and supported—and how well-established these systems are—made me admire your organizational culture even more, and it has made me an even bigger fan of this Hotel.

    This was my first stay, and I was very satisfied.

    This was our first stay here, and we were extremely satisfied with the service, the Facility, and the meals in every way. We chose a Plan with breakfast only this time, but we would love to enjoy dinner on our next visit. Both the in-Room Onsen and the large public bath were very spacious, and towels were provided as well. My spouse and I were truly impressed, and it became an unforgettable trip. Thank you very much.

    We had a very satisfying stay.

    This was our second stay. We were fully satisfied with the hospitality, meals, Room cleanliness, plentiful towels, and amenities. Dinner was teppanyaki for the first time in a while. We enjoyed chatting with the chef and had a truly blissful time. We could also see Mt. Fuji from our Room, and we were very happy with the in-room Onsen bath. My wife and I are already talking about coming back again.

    Now I understand why this property is so highly rated.

    Booking at the sale price was a big plus, but I was especially satisfied with three things: the Room size, the Onsen, and how close it is to the outlet mall! It also started snowing, so I arrived at the Hotel early, and they kindly let me into my Room before check-in. That kind of flexibility really makes a difference. I had a relaxing stay and would love to return.

    Even though I’ve stayed in Gotemba many times, I can’t believe I hadn’t chosen this Hotel before. It was such a wonderful Hotel that I regret not staying here sooner. I will stay here again the next time I visit Gotemba.

    There were no vacanc...

    There were no vacancies in a triple Room, so we used two Rooms for 1–2 guests. It was spacious and clean, and we were very satisfied! We used the large public bath at night, and it wasn’t too crowded, so we could relax. The in-Room bath was also separate from the toilet, bright, and clean. Breakfast had a wide variety of dishes, and you can make ochazuke with the rice—so I had my first bowl normally and my second as ochazuke. I was full from the morning. They also offer free koi fish food (one bag per person), so we fed the koi while walking around the garden and enjoyed the footbath. It’s in a great location right off the expressway. However, Google Maps didn’t lead us to the Hotel entrance, so we got a bit lost. We couldn’t catch the fountain show this time due to timing, so I’d like to see it next time—we’d love to stay again.

    Prime Location

    After worrying about snow the day before, the view of Mt. Fuji from the observation deck in the morning was spectacular. The staff were also professional and excellent. This is a Hotel I would like to visit again on my next trip to Izu.

    It was a very good Hotel.

    Stayed in late January with a teppanyaki dinner plan. Thank you for preparing a room with a great view of Mt. Fuji. The room offered an excellent view of Mt. Fuji, and the onsen-equipped room was clean, spacious, and comfortable. The meals were also very delicious. Overall, I was extremely satisfied! However, I would like to share some points that caught my attention: **Room Sofa:** The sofa lacked cushions and wasn't very comfortable to sit on. I used unused pillows as cushions, but they didn't match the sofa's color scheme. **Room Wear:** The white cotton one-piece style was provided for use up to the bath area; however, it felt too sheer and required courage to step out of the room wearing it. A darker-colored thicker material or separate-style wear like samue would have been better. **Public Bath Sauna:** While personal preference may vary, the sauna temperature felt low to me. Additionally, there was no place to put glasses or "relaxation chairs," which was inconvenient. My female companion mentioned that the cold plunge pool was too shallow to be effective. I look forward to revisiting when there is another great value-for-money plan available!

    Mount Fuji and dinner are exceptional.

    We stayed at the accommodation expecting Mount Fuji, delicious meals, and an onsen. Blessed with clear weather, Mount Fuji was magnificent! For dinner, we had teppanyaki, and both the taste and service were satisfying. However, while the bath was spacious and the water quality excellent, the washing area was very cold, making it hard to relax. It was disappointing.

    Hope you had a wonderful New Year!

    I was pleasantly surprised by the thoughtful gesture of preparing the same room I stayed in last time. The room was impeccably clean, and I had a very comfortable stay. Additionally, being able to enjoy New Year's soba as a late-night snack was a delightful service. The only downside was that part of the refrigerator was damaged and, although reinforced with tape, it came off easily. That said, overall it was a very comfortable hotel, and I would love to stay again in the near future.

    The meals were disappointing.

    The location offers a view of Mt. Fuji, though it is partially obstructed by a building. The air is clear, and it was nice to see the mountain. However, the meals were not satisfactory in terms of cost performance. Additional charges for small items like butter and a breakfast resembling a golf course set meal left room for improvement. I am unlikely to return.

    A Time for Relaxation

    The room with an Onsen allowed us to enjoy multiple baths while admiring Mount Fuji, which was very satisfying. The room had high ceilings, and the large bed provided a comfortable sleep. Dinner was an Italian course meal. The staff were very pleasant, making the delicious dishes even more enjoyable. The garden fountain show accompanied by music was spectacular. Mount Fuji was beautifully represented in sync with the music about Mount Fuji. We could feed the koi fish in the pond, and even ducks came to eat, creating wonderful memories. It was a stylish yet warm and welcoming Hotel. Thank you for your hospitality!

    What's that sound???

    This was my second stay, and I was satisfied again. While there are many wonderful accommodations in Tokyo and Hakone, Gotemba mostly has business hotels, making this high-quality accommodation truly unique and invaluable. One thing that caught my attention was the noise in the room. Although I couldn't identify the source, it sounded like running footsteps or heavy doors slamming shut repeatedly. I didn't hear such noises during my previous stay, so it stood out this time (which also shows how quiet this hotel usually is). Since it was during the New Year holidays with more guests and families with children compared to last time, I assume that might have been the reason. I was pleasantly surprised by the New Year's greeting card and gift prepared in my room by the hotel. Thank you very much!

    We enjoyed the Facility.

    Enjoy a stroll in the garden, feed the koi, and relax in the footbath while admiring seasonal plants. The well-maintained garden features ducks, koi, and flowing water that create a dynamic landscape. Breakfast was delicious and very satisfying. We had a relaxing stay. Thank you very much!

    Excellent.

    I stay here every year-end and always have a very comfortable time. - At night, there was an extremely loud noise, possibly from the same floor or the floor above, which was unpleasant. - When I asked at the front desk if I could use the parking lot before check-in, their expression seemed displeased, which left an impression. These two points are why I deducted some marks. Other than these issues, it was a wonderful experience. Thank you very much!

    We returned after a year to celebrate my husband's birthday because we had a great experience last time! Overall, we were satisfied, but there were some disappointments. The requested items were missing, and the name on the paid dessert plate was incorrect. While my husband laughed it off, I couldn't help but feel disappointed. I noticed this during our previous stay as well, but the moss in the large public bath is excessively dirty. I wanted to relax in the onsen, but seeing it made me uncomfortable and I left quickly. The wood around the large public bath is also severely deteriorated. At this point, daily cleaning won't suffice! Please consider proper maintenance as an investment in your facility!

    Enjoy a teppanyaki course for a birthday celebration. A wide selection of drinks complements the exquisite dinner featuring lobster, filet, and sirloin steak. Relax with dessert time while watching the fountain show from a different seat. Feeding the adorable ducks in the garden pond adds extra fun. Multiple Onsen options provide ultimate relaxation. The Room is spacious, very quiet, and features a convenient bath area with a washing space. The café's canelé was also delightful. Overall, an excellent experience worth repeating—looking forward to hosting our New Year’s party here!

    It was a wonderful Hotel.

    I was looking for an accommodation where I could view Mount Fuji from the room and found this hotel with high review ratings. The warm hospitality of the staff at check-in was comforting, and I was excited by the spaciousness of the room, which felt larger than expected, and the view from the window. Fortunately, we were blessed with good weather and were able to admire a beautiful view of Mount Fuji, which was truly moving. Based on everyone's reviews, we chose teppanyaki for dinner. Watching the chef's impressive skills while enjoying our meal made it incredibly delicious and satisfying. The fountain show was beautiful and captivating, and feeding the koi fish was also enjoyable. The spacious public bath and delicately flavored Japanese breakfast were delightful as well. Thanks to all the staff members, it turned out to be a wonderful stay for which I am deeply grateful.
