    Excellent service

    The view of Mt. Fuji from the restaurant, along with the illuminated fountain and garden, was wonderful! Above all, the staff were fantastic. Everyone we interacted with—including the person who served us at the restaurant—was cheerful, friendly, and truly lovely. We had a wonderful time. Thank you very much.

    I was able to create wonderful memories with my wife and daughter.

    I stayed with my wife and our daughter, who works far away. The Hotel’s interior, exterior, and room all offered a high level of relaxation in terms of atmosphere, cleanliness, tranquility, and comfort. Some staff members were foreign nationals and a few were not very fluent in Japanese, but most spoke it well overall. We enjoyed a course meal at the Italian restaurant, and everything was delicious. The beautifully maintained grounds were also wonderful, including a garden where fireflies were flying. The nighttime fountain show was beautiful and well worth watching. By making an early Reservation through IKYU, we were able to stay at a very reasonable price. Overall, it was an excellent experience.

    Recommended Hotel

    This was my first stay. I chose a Plan with breakfast included. Unfortunately, the weather was bad so I couldn’t see Mt. Fuji, but the Room was spacious and I was able to enjoy a relaxing, quiet holiday. Breakfast was Japanese-style. The dishes were generally lightly seasoned, but there were many items and it was very filling.

    I want to give it another try!

    This time, we made a Reservation here because the Reviews were good and the concept of “enjoying a bath while looking at Mt. Fuji” appealed to us. We also reserved the teppanyaki dinner menu with a variety of options—spiny lobster, abalone, steak, and more—and looked forward to our trip. However, as the date approached, the weather forecast became uncertain, and in the end we couldn’t see Mt. Fuji even once over the two days (Saturday and Sunday). So our original concept fell apart completely, but dinner far exceeded our expectations. Even my wife—who rarely gives high marks for meals—was delighted. That was the highlight. There were a few things we noticed: we wished the private open-air bath in the Room were a bit larger; that we could have enjoyed the view; and that my throat hadn’t gotten sore from the air conditioning (there was a humidifier, but with such a large Room it didn’t make much difference). Still, all of that was outweighed by how comfortable it was and how delicious the food was. I even found myself thinking on the drive home that I want to come back for another try at seeing Mt. Fuji. We’ll be visiting again—thank you in advance.

    Breakfast

    Overall, I was almost completely satisfied. Everything was very clean. Dinner was well-timed, and the attentive service was excellent. However, breakfast felt quite rushed, and it took nearly 20 minutes from being seated for the food to arrive. Even then, it only came after we asked, so we were kept waiting for quite a while.

    We upgraded you to a Room with an open-air bath.

    Even though it was my first stay, I was upgraded to a spacious Room with an open-air bath, and I had a very comfortable time. The staff were excellent, and the Japanese breakfast was delicious. My only request is that the TV in the Room be connected to the internet.

    The 9th night of a 10-day, 9-night trip

    Driving into central Tokyo at the end of a long trip often means heavy traffic, so we stayed overnight in Gotemba to rest before heading home. This was our third visit. The Hotel is very high quality, and the Facility, Room, Onsen, meals, and service are all excellent, which is why we returned. The first two times we had teppanyaki for dinner and it was wonderful, so this time we chose Italian cuisine. The dishes were elaborate, but for us as older guests (late 60s), they were quite rich and didn’t suit our tastes. The house wine—both white and red—was also not very good. We would like to stay again next time, but we will choose teppanyaki.

    Room with Private Indoor Bath

    The Room with a private Onsen was wonderful. We enjoyed strolling around the grounds as a couple, feeding the koi and drinking the spring water. It was more in town than we expected, and at the outdoor bath we could hear construction noise nearby, which felt different from a rural Onsen. However, since we love shopping, we were satisfied spending both days shopping at Gotemba Premium Outlets. It’s also very close to Gotemba Premium Outlets and I think it’s close to the station as well. The meals were Japanese cuisine, mainly light and easy-to-digest fish dishes. They were delicious. For younger guests with bigger appetites, the separate Italian restaurant or the yakiniku restaurant on the first floor might be a better choice.

    This was my first stay, and I was very satisfied.

    We stayed in Gotemba this time instead of Hakone to combine our trip with a visit to Fuji Reien Cemetery. During our stay, we could see the summit of Mt. Fuji, and we enjoyed the garden scenery and the fountain during meals. The Italian cuisine was delicious, and we were very satisfied with the staff’s hospitality and service. One thing: we noticed a chlorine smell in the Onsen. Also, my wife said the amenities at the front desk were great, so I’d like to add that comment as well.

    It was a wonderful Accommodation!

    A quiet setting, a beautiful garden, and spacious, spotless Rooms—plus well-stocked amenities with everything I hoped for. I was so happy! The staff’s guidance was also polite and pleasant. In the morning, I was moved to see a magnificent view of Mt. Fuji clearly from my Room! The view of Mt. Fuji from the 12th-floor Sky Room was also amazing! If the loungewear came with pants as well, it would be perfect. Breakfast was very delicious with a wide variety; each item in small portions had gentle seasoning, and I was completely satisfied. I was also impressed to be able to enjoy dashi chazuke. Overall, I was satisfied with everything at this Accommodation. I hope I can visit again. Thank you very much. (This isn’t the Hotel’s fault, but when relying on Google Maps, it kept guiding me to the back side of the Hotel for some reason every time, so it took effort to reach the main entrance.)

    It was a wonderful Hotel that exceeded our expectations.

    I stayed here for the first time because of the high Review ratings. The service far exceeded my expectations, the Room was spacious, and the view from the Room was wonderful. I could also take a relaxing walk around the garden, and I had an amazing time. For breakfast, while many Hotels these days offer a buffet, this Hotel served a set Japanese meal, which allowed me to enjoy it at a relaxed pace. Each dish was carefully prepared, and I was completely satisfied with both the presentation and the taste. Also, it is very conveniently located close to the Gotemba Interchange, making access easy. I would definitely like to stay here again.

    This Hotel offers an exceptionally satisfying stay.

    My Golden Week plans were only for a memorial service, and I was considering staying at Mars Garden as a stopover on the way home, but there were no vacancies at all. After checking repeatedly, an opening finally appeared the day before, and I was able to stay.\nNo matter how many times I visit, the service, facilities, and breakfast are consistently excellent—this is truly a wonderful Hotel. This time we also enjoyed playing Mölkky as a family, and from start to finish it was simply perfect.\nNext time I’d like to make a Reservation that includes dinner as well. Thank you very much.

    It was a wonderful stay.

    Thank you as always. Once again, I was able to fully enjoy Mars and feel truly refreshed. Everything, including the garden, is kept spotlessly clean and well maintained, making it extremely comfortable. This time we had breakfast three times and dinner twice (teppanyaki and Italian), but the Kyoto-style kaiseki is also delicious, so we always have a hard time choosing. Above all, the warm hospitality of each staff member is an important source of comfort and reassurance for me. I’m not sure how many times I’ll be able to visit this year, but I look forward to staying with you again. Thank you very much as always.

    Unfortunately, due t...

    Unfortunately, due to the weather, we couldn’t see Mt. Fuji from the observation deck, but we still had a great time taking a walk in the garden and watching the fountain show. The Onsen with an open-air bath was spacious enough, and in the morning there were few other guests, so we could relax and soak at our leisure. The room was also spacious, and we were surprised by how well stocked the amenities were. Next time, we would definitely like to stay on a Plan that includes meals.

    A fun Hotel!

    We stayed with our children, and it was a surprisingly fun Hotel that exceeded our expectations. There is a pond in the center of the grounds, where you can enjoy a dynamic koi-feeding experience—our kids were thrilled. Dinner was a sushi kaiseki course, served in a calm private room, and during the meal an illuminated fountain appeared from the pond—another wonderfully entertaining touch. Inside the Hotel, paintings and lithographs by Cathelin were on display, and all of the staff were kind and attentive, making our stay extremely satisfying. We will definitely come again!!

    It was a wonderful and memorable stay.

    We were looking for a Room that could accommodate three adults and one 8-year-old, and we happened to secure a Reservation here. The Room was very spacious and spotless, and we were extremely satisfied. We were also moved to see Mt. Fuji beautifully from the Room the next morning! We truly appreciated the thoughtful gifts of tea and sweets, as well as the fresh flowers in the living room and restroom. Everything—the Room, meals, Onsen, garden, illumination show, and service—was wonderful, making it a special birthday memory for our child. Thank you very much!!

    Mount Fuji is right in front of you.

    The Room was very spacious, and the amenities were excellent. Mt. Fuji was right in front of us from the Room, and we were able to fully enjoy the mountain views. All of the staff were kind and provided attentive service, so we would definitely like to come again.

    On the way back from Nikko

    On a 2-night, 3-day driving trip to Kinugawa Onsen, Nikko, and the outlet mall, we chose this Hotel because it seemed conveniently located right next to the Gotemba Interchange. Right after check-in, we enjoyed the Onsen in our Room, and the large spiny lobster served with the Hotel meal was excellent. Seeing Mt. Fuji from our Room at 6:00 a.m. the next morning was amazing. I’m interested in trying other dishes as well, so I’d like to stay here again.

    A brand-new Hotel in an unbeatable location

    This is a new and clean Hotel located just off the Gotemba Interchange. We only stopped by on our way to the outlet mall, so our stay was very short, but it was so comfortable that we would have liked to relax longer. Feeding the koi during the fountain show seems to have become a wonderful memory for our child. Thank you very much.

    Excellent!

    We stayed as a family of four (a couple and two elementary school boys) to visit Fuji Safari Park. It was a wonderful Hotel. The view of Mt. Fuji from our Room was stunning, and the beautifully maintained garden was also lovely. The Room was spacious, spotlessly clean, and the amenities were more than sufficient. We enjoyed everything as a family: the footbath, the fountain show viewed from our Room, feeding the koi fish, and the soccer game on the 12th floor. This time we booked a Plan with breakfast included, and the breakfast was excellent. We were able to relax in a private room while looking out at the garden, which made for a calm and leisurely morning. The staff’s hospitality was outstanding as well, and it became a great memory for us. If I had to mention one thing, I wished we could have used the footbath again after breakfast, but it was closed—so that part was a little disappointing. For views of Mt. Fuji from your Room, higher floors seem even better. We also found several nearby Facilities that our children would enjoy, so next time we’d like to stay on a higher floor. To everyone at the Hotel, We had such a great time. Thank you very much.

    We were able to relax very much.

    We stayed for one night while visiting the outlet mall. The Room was spacious, clean, and well stocked with amenities. The large public bath was also clean and relaxing, and we really enjoyed the Onsen. My friend and I would definitely like to stay again. Breakfast was also very delicious.

    Always wonderful.

    An absolutely wonderful Onsen and delicious Italian cuisine—highly satisfying. The large public bath is never crowded, so you can always relax. Every Italian dish is excellent, and the wine offers great value and tastes great. It’s also nice that even if you take your time in the bath in the morning, you still have plenty of time for breakfast. The authentic Japanese breakfast was delicious as well.

    The meals were very ...

    The meals were very delicious. Both the in-room Onsen and the large public bath had free-flowing hot spring water, and we were very satisfied. We stayed for two nights, relaxed at our own pace, and felt refreshed. Thank you very much for your hospitality.

    Not all amenities are provided for every guest.

    The Room and service were excellent—no complaints at all. However, what was truly disappointing was that even though we paid for our child as well, many items were often prepared for only two people. There were only two sets of loungewear (based on past Reviews saying there was none for children, bringing our own was absolutely the right choice), slippers, and bags for going to the bath. Tea bags, glasses and cups, complimentary bottled water, and body-washing towels were also all provided for only two people. (I confirmed with the front desk that water is provided only for adults. Only toothbrushes were available in adult size for three people.) I could understand this if the child were preschool age, but once they are in upper elementary school or older, they can understand what’s going on. Our child felt sad knowing there wasn’t one for them. We had provided our child’s age at the time of Reservation, so it should have been known. If children’s amenities are not included in the count, I would have liked to be informed in advance on the Reservation screen or somewhere similar. Given how highly rated it is in Reviews, that point was disappointing.

    A Hotel Where You Can Relax and Be Inspired

    This was an anniversary trip, and my mother hoped to see Mt. Fuji from the Shizuoka side. Since we also had plans the next day, we chose this Hotel near the Gotemba Interchange and booked a Room with a view of Mt. Fuji. When we entered the Room, there was a celebratory gift and message, which made us very happy. Unfortunately, it was cloudy on the day we arrived and we couldn’t see it at all, but they kindly told us where Mt. Fuji could be seen from. With koi fish food recommended by the front desk, we took an evening walk in the garden → enjoyed a bath → and then had a delicious teppanyaki course dinner with thoughtful touches. The next morning, I casually opened the curtains… and couldn’t help exclaiming “Wow!” It wasn’t perfectly clear, but an amazing Mt. Fuji suddenly filled our view right in front of us! My mother was thrilled too. Since checkout was unhurried, we enjoyed: bath → a beautiful Kyoto-style breakfast with dashi chazuke → a morning garden walk → another bath → then relaxed in the Room while taking in Mt. Fuji before checking out. From arrival to checkout, both the service and scenery were excellent—this is truly a wonderful Hotel. Next time I’d like to visit the bar as well, so I definitely want to stay again.

    Attentive service

    Despite being fully booked, the atmosphere was quiet and relaxing. The service was attentive and well-judged—never excessive—and the staff maintained a high standard of hospitality while occasionally showing a warm, down-to-earth friendliness. Although we could only see Mt. Fuji on the first day, it was a very satisfying trip overall. Thank you very much.
