    It exceeded my expectations!

    This was my first time staying here. A long time ago, I stayed at a Hotel in Kobe from the same group, and I had a great impression then—so that was the deciding factor. Just as I remembered, both the interior and exterior have a classic, elegant, and charming atmosphere, and I felt excited the moment I walked in! The staff member at the front desk guided me very politely, so check-in was smooth and pleasant. I also really appreciated receiving a chilled hand towel, salt tablets, and a cold drink right after check-in. The Room was well stocked with a coffee machine and plenty of bottled water, and I was able to relax quietly. The breakfast buffet had far more variety than I expected—I was amazed! I went at the earliest time slot, but it was quieter than I thought it would be, so I could enjoy my meal in a calm setting. Personally, the mini baguettes and croissants in the bread section—and especially the omelet made right in front of me—were delicious. There were also soft-serve ice cream and a semi-automatic pancake machine, which made breakfast really fun. They even offered a service where you can take coffee back to your Room after your meal—it made my morning feel perfect. Since I had a late check-out Plan, it was wonderful to relax in the Room even after eating until I was full! Everyone on staff was kind to me, and honestly the service was so good that it made me question whether the price could really be right. Thank you very much for such an enjoyable stay! I would definitely love to visit again if I have another opportunity.

    I’ll stay here again!

    I’ve stayed at Hotel Monterey in Kyoto and Hanzomon before, and this was my first time in Akasaka, but it didn’t disappoint! It’s a bit tiring because you have to walk uphill from the station (lol), but it’s still close, and the area has plenty of convenience stores, cafes, and restaurants, which made it very convenient. The breakfast buffet was tasty, though the venue wasn’t very large so there seemed to be fewer options than in Kyoto or Hanzomon. I’d like to stay here again when I visit Tokyo!

    A place in Tokyo you’ll want to make your go-to accommodation.

    This was my second stay because I had a great experience last time. I love traveling and stay at many Hotels, but this Hotel really takes care of every detail, making it very comfortable. The drink and hot towel service, the user-friendly Room layout, the Mirable showerhead, and the comfortable loungewear made my stay stress-free, and it has become one of my favorite Accommodations. It is a bit of a walk uphill from Akasaka-mitsuke Station, which was tough in summer, but even so, it’s a Hotel I would choose again in Tokyo.

    Not far from the sta...

    Not far from the station, with good access. The shower head was a Mirable, and at the front desk there were drinks (green tea, juice) and refreshing foot sheets available, which we used. We stayed with three people and had an extra bed added, but when we moved items to make space for it, we found hair and dust.

    The Room was clean, and the breakfast was delicious. The one-night rate in Tokyo was very reasonable—excellent overall. I’d love to stay again next time.

    This was my second stay.

    I had a great first stay, so I chose to stay here again. The front desk staff were kind, and the Room was comfortable. I was happy that the amenities included UV protection and hair cream. The bed was very comfortable, and I fell asleep quickly. I would like to stay here again. Thank you very much.

    I love a classic atmosphere.

    I had booked a single Room, but they upgraded me to a twin, and I had a very comfortable stay! It was my first visit in a while, and the amenities have been upgraded. I was happy to find so many options—face masks, eye masks, leg-refresh sheets, bath salts, and more. They even provided bottled drinks. The Room was comfortable with everything I needed. One thing I always end up doing is soaking the bath mat when I shower—even with the shower curtain—maybe because of the shape of the tub edge. Next time I’ll be more careful... Unlike many recent Business Hotels, I really love the classic-style interior here. It’s located about halfway between Akasaka-mitsuke and Aoyama-itchome; it’s a bit of a walk from the station, but when you stay here Toyokawa Inari Shrine and Toraya are right in front of you, so you can easily stick to your usual routine.

    A Hotel with Thoughtful Attention to Detail

    A 5-minute gentle uphill walk from Akasaka-mitsuke Station. Conveniently close to the station, with sightseeing spots nearby. I was impressed by the Hotel’s thoughtful touches throughout. They even provided basic skincare items, including cream and sunscreen. Breakfast was delicious, with great attention to ingredients. They also offered free tea in a convenient portable size—truly a stylish Hotel with everything you could ask for. I’d like to stay here again when I’m in the area.

    I like the slightly ...

    I like the slightly retro feel of Hotel Monterey, and I stay at different locations. The bathroom was clean, and the view from the window was lovely. Amenities are self-serve, so I was satisfied while also being mindful of the environment. It’s about a 5-minute walk from the station, but it’s along a main road, so I felt safe even walking alone at night as a woman. I’d like to stay again.

    The cleaning was disappointing.

    This was my first stay. I arrived by car around 2:40 PM on a weekday and was able to check in smoothly. The service that lets guests choose their own amenities and drinks was excellent, and I was pleased that the Room had two bottles of water per person. The twin Room on the 12th floor seemed like it would have a great view, but the window had wired glass and an additional film applied, which made the scenery a bit difficult to see. I also noticed that part of the film at the top of the window was peeling. There were noticeable stains on the carpet in the Room, and in the bathroom I saw black mold around the drain fitting above the bathtub and along parts of the rubber gasket, so there were some concerns regarding cleanliness. The price is reasonable and easy to use, and I am satisfied with the staff’s service and hospitality. If cleaning and Facility maintenance are further improved, I believe this Hotel will be even more comfortable. I would like to stay again, so I look forward to future improvements.

    It was a lovely Hote...

    It was a lovely Hotel with lush greenery outside the window. (Stayed before the exterior wall construction.) From Akasaka-mitsuke Station, you’ll need to walk up a fairly steep hill, so if you have a lot of luggage, taking a taxi might be a good idea.

    It’s a gentle uphill...

    It’s a gentle uphill walk from Akasaka-mitsuke Station, so it may feel tough if you have luggage. There are many places to eat nearby that are easy to enter even when you’re alone. The building has a Western-style, “foreign residence” vibe and is different from a Business Hotel, so it may not be everyone’s taste, but I had a very comfortable stay. Because the Facility has darker tones, dust tends to show easily, so I imagine housekeeping has a hard job. I’d definitely like to stay again. Thank you very much.

    Perfect base for visiting the State Guest House. We had a calm and comfortable stay.

    My mother and I stayed for two nights. We chose this Hotel for its great location, strong Review ratings, and good balance of price, as our main purpose was to visit the State Guest House Akasaka Palace.\n The Hotel itself isn’t brand-new, but it was kept very clean throughout and had a calm atmosphere that made it extremely comfortable.\n All staff were courteous and pleasant, so we felt at ease during our stay.\n The other guests also seemed quiet and respectful, which made it easy to relax.\n Amenities were well stocked, including a YA-MAN hair dryer, a Mirable shower head, complimentary green tea, and bottled water.\n In particular, the “Megu Refre” items at the amenity bar felt great on my tired feet after walking all day and were a big help during the trip.\n Breakfast offered a wide variety of options, and each item was high quality and delicious.\n Considering the location, service, and Facility offerings, it was excellent value for money. I would gladly stay here again when visiting the Akasaka area.\n Thank you very much.

    Comfortable views and a comfortable Room

    This was my first stay here. It was a wonderful Hotel in the very heart of the city—so impressive that I only wish I had discovered it much sooner. The lush green view from the window was simply outstanding. Many Hotels provide amenities in the lobby, but here everything was prepared in the Room, so there was no need to go and pick anything up, and I could relax with peace of mind. The staff were also extremely courteous, which made my stay very comfortable. I was especially impressed by the coffee machine in the Room. The tea and coffee were delicious. I would definitely like to stay again.

    I guess I got my hopes up too much.

    Because it’s a Hotel in the city center, the room is small. It’s also an old Hotel. The Reviews were good, so I expected too much. At check-in, the Japanese female staff member didn’t smile and was unfriendly, which left a very bad impression. It put me in a bad mood. Hotel staff are usually pleasant, so I was surprised. At check-out, the foreign staff member was friendly and smiling. After check-out I temporarily left my luggage there, and that same staff member was also very cheerful and kind.

    Thank you for your kind hospitality.

    We were satisfied with the location and the meals. However, it was disappointing that the air-conditioning Facility and the refrigerator were slow to start. Since it was fully booked over the weekend, we could not change our Room, which was unfortunate, but we are grateful for the kindness of all the staff who did their best to assist us.

    It was comfortable!

    I’ve stayed at various Hotel Monterey properties, and while this one was reasonably priced, I was truly impressed by the service. The Simmons bed was excellent. Thank you very much.

    An Oasis in the City

    The Room was quiet and very relaxing. It was on the 7th floor, and the greenery of the Akasaka Imperial Grounds was a pleasure to look at. In the morning, I took a refreshing walk to Toyokawa Inari Shrine. The only thing that concerned me was that breakfast was expensive, so I decided not to have it.

    Perfect!

    This was my first stay here. Despite being right in the heart of the city, the quiet location was perfect for me. From the outside it looks like a typical mid-rise urban building, but through the large sidewalk-facing windows you can see a lovely classic-style lobby. Once inside the understated entrance, I was greeted by an impressive lobby with a large chandelier and an oversized teddy bear by the fireplace—already completely satisfied at that point. And to top it off, I was thrilled to receive a Room upgrade! The upper-floor Room had just the right amount of space to relax more than usual, and everything—from the furnishings and Facility features to cleanliness—was flawless. Plus, there was even complimentary fragrant coffee from the coffee maker. The only disappointment was that although there is a window positioned for views stretching from Akasaka Palace Grounds to Shinjuku Gyoen National Garden, it couldn’t be opened and film obstructed much of the view. It may be due to official guidance, but it was truly unfortunate. Still, even taking that into account, it was a perfect stay overall. Thank you very much.

    Close to my child’s ...

    Close to my child’s home (Omotesando), and I had a great stay before, so this time I booked a Multiple Night Stay. The Room with the great view was fully booked this time, so I stayed in a Casual Twin instead. The Room is compact but has calm interior design and is very functional, and the water and amenities were more than satisfactory. The bathroom is an old-style unit bath with the toilet in the same space, but it has been renovated and feels clean. The sink is also large, and the shower water pressure is plentiful. From in front of Omotesando Station, take the “Chi-Bus” and get off at Toyokawa Inari—the Hotel is right in front, which is very convenient. The greenery of the ginkgo-lined avenue at Jingu Gaien seen from the bus window was beautiful, so I decided to take a walk there. It takes about a 5-minute walk to Akasaka-mitsuke Station (the nearest train station), but since it’s downhill, it doesn’t feel like a hassle. I would definitely like to stay again.

    Highly recommended.

    Although it is close to the station and there are many restaurants nearby, the area around the Hotel is very quiet, making for a comfortable stay. The amenities are well stocked, and the bed is comfortable. Above all, it’s affordable.

    We had a comfortable stay. One issue: even after turning on the refrigerator, it didn’t seem to work—perhaps it was unplugged or broken. In the end, we had to drink lukewarm water. Please check it.

    A Hotel across from the Green Grove. With Morris-patterned cross ceilings, sturdy curtains, and a tasteful style that wasn’t overly classic, it was a very nice Hotel. The view was wonderful as well. The complimentary water and juice were appreciated. Thank you.

    I was satisfied.

    I stayed here again, and once again I was very satisfied—the Western-style atmosphere was wonderful. The Room is a bit compact, but for this price range it’s more than acceptable. While many Hotels these days offer only minimal amenities, this one was very well stocked, which I really appreciated. The Room had two bottles of mineral water per person, and I could feel the thoughtful attention to detail. What surprised me even more was that the hair dryer was made by YA-MAN. The unexpected high quality made my stay even better.

    Recommended Accommodation for those who love a chic British style

    With its chic British style, it naturally attracts British guests. The Room is, of course, spotless, and the toilet and bathroom are impeccably clean. Not to mention the excellent transport access. Breakfast—rice and bacon in particular—was exceptionally good. That said, it’s compact, with no space for children to run around (and I feel you’re expected to keep quiet), so it’s best suited to those who enjoy peace and quiet. It originally had an atmosphere where wearing a tie even at breakfast felt appropriate; now, however, the Rooms feel quite small—especially with two single beds. Interestingly, despite the compact Room size, the washroom area with the toilet and bath is relatively spacious compared with similar hotels. Overall, I found it an ideal Hotel for staying affordably in a simple outfit in true British fashion while getting around central Tokyo. There are items in the washroom that add a touch of gentlemanly charm. I stayed with a suit packed for a celebration event, so it did feel tight—but at this price point, that’s understandable. I made my Reservation via IKYU; an Accommodation worthy of IKYU indeed.

    This time.

    For some reason, when I first started using the shower, only hot water with a sweaty smell came out. Maybe the previous guest used it in a tricky way... It seems better to take various measures to prevent odors. It still smelled a little the next day as well.

    Refined elegance leading to Hotel New Grand Yokohama

    I reserved a spacious Room as a birthday gift for my daughter. Just as in the photos, the vintage-style interior was truly wonderful, and it felt like an irresistible space for my daughter, who loves the classic atmosphere of Hotel New Grand Yokohama. With its stately furnishings that make you forget the city bustle and its unhurried pace of time, choosing this place for such an important occasion was absolutely the right decision. Thank you for a memorable and wonderful stay.
