    I was satisfied.

    I stayed here again, and once again I was very satisfied—the Western-style atmosphere was wonderful. The Room is a bit compact, but for this price range it’s more than acceptable. While many Hotels these days offer only minimal amenities, this one was very well stocked, which I really appreciated. The Room had two bottles of mineral water per person, and I could feel the thoughtful attention to detail. What surprised me even more was that the hair dryer was made by YA-MAN. The unexpected high quality made my stay even better.

    Recommended Accommodation for those who love a chic British style

    With its chic British style, it naturally attracts British guests. The Room is, of course, spotless, and the toilet and bathroom are impeccably clean. Not to mention the excellent transport access. Breakfast—rice and bacon in particular—was exceptionally good. That said, it’s compact, with no space for children to run around (and I feel you’re expected to keep quiet), so it’s best suited to those who enjoy peace and quiet. It originally had an atmosphere where wearing a tie even at breakfast felt appropriate; now, however, the Rooms feel quite small—especially with two single beds. Interestingly, despite the compact Room size, the washroom area with the toilet and bath is relatively spacious compared with similar hotels. Overall, I found it an ideal Hotel for staying affordably in a simple outfit in true British fashion while getting around central Tokyo. There are items in the washroom that add a touch of gentlemanly charm. I stayed with a suit packed for a celebration event, so it did feel tight—but at this price point, that’s understandable. I made my Reservation via IKYU; an Accommodation worthy of IKYU indeed.

    This time.

    For some reason, when I first started using the shower, only hot water with a sweaty smell came out. Maybe the previous guest used it in a tricky way... It seems better to take various measures to prevent odors. It still smelled a little the next day as well.

    Refined elegance leading to Hotel New Grand Yokohama

    I reserved a spacious Room as a birthday gift for my daughter. Just as in the photos, the vintage-style interior was truly wonderful, and it felt like an irresistible space for my daughter, who loves the classic atmosphere of Hotel New Grand Yokohama. With its stately furnishings that make you forget the city bustle and its unhurried pace of time, choosing this place for such an important occasion was absolutely the right decision. Thank you for a memorable and wonderful stay.

    Great-value city-center Hotel

    On Friday night, our family of three met up at Akasaka-Mitsuke after work, enjoyed food and drinks around Akasaka, and stayed at this great-value Hotel within walking distance. There were plenty of amenities and complimentary drinks, and the breakfast buffet offered a well-curated selection of only the best items—everything was delicious. The strawberries and omelet were outstanding. Since check-out was at 12:00, we visited Toyokawa Inari right in front before leaving. The Toraya Cafe next door also comes recommended; ticket issuance starts at 9:30. Thank you for your hospitality.

    A luxurious Hotel with an upscale atmosphere

    I stayed for one night on a business trip. From the exterior, it felt like being in a foreign country. In the guest room, with its elegant British-style atmosphere and the pleasant scent of potpourri, I was able to relax both physically and mentally. I was also impressed by the amenities and unique Facility offerings not found at other Hotel properties, including a Mirable showerhead, a YA-MAN hair dryer, skincare devices, and even a coffee machine. I’d love to stay again!

    It was full of kindness.

    I made a Reservation for my son’s entrance exam.AOriginally, we had a Plan to upgrade to a higher class for the same price as the Casual Twin, and at check-in we were upgraded again to the 10th floor because there was availability on an upper floor. We arrived at night, but the view was great, and we really appreciated the thoughtful gesture. Four 500 ml bottles of water were provided in the Room. On the first floor, each guest could also choose one small drink (such as tea or lemon). Bagged ice was also available on the first floor. Exam takers were given snacks and disposable hand warmers, which felt very kind. However, the faucet at the sink in the Room was broken and came off easily, which made it difficult to use. I forgot to mention this at check-out. Also, there were no instructions for how to use the humidifier, and I wasn’t sure where to fill it with water, so I couldn’t use it. It would be helpful if there were a label or instructions.

    The staff were kind ...

    The staff were kind and attentive. I also appreciated the amenities and complimentary drinks. Due to my departure schedule, I couldn’t have breakfast, so I’ll try it next time.

    Stay here for your accommodation in Tokyo.

    When I want to stay in central Tokyo, this is my first choice. The location is convenient, and at this price point I wouldn’t hesitate to choose it. I love the interior design—it’s comfortable and always leaves me very satisfied.

    Overall satisfied.

    I stayed here for the first time for a concert at Budokan. I gave up on the Hotels around Tokyo Station and Ginza because prices had gone up so much, and although Akasaka was unfamiliar to me, the subway access was excellent and getting around was very convenient. I was happy to find amenities such as foot care items and bath salts, as well as hot and cold drinks, available at the front desk—such a nice service. There is also a microwave at the front desk, which is convenient when using takeout. Although I heard the tap water in the washroom is filtered, four bottled waters were provided in the Room, and I also enjoyed delicious coffee, tea, and other drinks from the UCC coffee machine. I did notice some splatter marks on the wall of the Room and dust on the bed headboard and desk, but overall I had a comfortable stay thanks to a high-performance hair dryer and shower head. The breakfast selection offered plenty of both Japanese- and Western-style options; it wasn’t noisy, so I could eat slowly and relax. The warm omelet and herb sausages were also very good. I truly appreciate how kindly all of the front desk staff assisted me with directions to the station, requests for forks/spoons/a bottle opener, and storing my luggage after checkout. It was a stay that made me want to return again next time.

    The hairdryer, showerhead, coffee maker, ballpoint pen, and all other amenities were of high quality. Everything was well-equipped, including comfortable pajamas. We stayed for two nights and had a very pleasant experience.

    The front desk staff's service level is low.

    The level of front desk staff training was unsatisfactory. At check-out, the card was received with one hand, proper polite language was not used, and there was no smile. APA Hotel staff are much better in comparison. Generally, I considered Monterey to be slightly higher in rank, but despite being more expensive than APA Hotel, the facilities are outdated and the room size is about the same. The location is often less convenient compared to APA Hotel, and with low staff quality on top of that, I don't think anyone would prefer staying here. Not just in Akasaka but moving forward, I don’t plan to use this hotel again. Next time, I will simply choose an APA Hotel or a higher-ranked hotel instead.

    Satisfied.

    I regularly use this place for business trips. The service is excellent, and the Room is clean. The reception staff are also very accommodating. This time, I noticed a slight damp smell in the bathroom, but it was not a major issue and I had a comfortable stay. I will use this place again.

    Monterey Akasaka hol...

    Monterey Akasaka holds wonderful memories from when I stayed with my daughter during the COVID period. This time, we stayed as a family because my daughter held her wedding and reception nearby. We were looking for accommodation with parking reservations and space for four people, and once again, we were very satisfied. First of all, the bathroom was spacious and separate from the toilet, so there was no need to visit a public bath. The extra bed was well-prepared, and the view of Toyokawa Inari from the window never got boring. The staff members were as pleasant as ever. (The omelet was brought to us, but I would have liked to see it being made.) I hope to stay here again with my daughter next time. Thank you very much!

    A charming hidden gem Hotel

    This was my first stay here as I had an appointment in the city late in the evening. Located about a 5-minute walk from Akasaka-Mitsuke Station, it feels like a hidden gem of an apartment. From the moment I entered, I felt warm hospitality. A variety of drinks were provided, which seemed to set it apart from other Hotels. As with other Hotels in this chain, the breakfast was delicious and satisfying. However, what stood out most was the heartfelt hospitality of each staff member. Usually, my stays at Hotels are more business-like with minimal interaction with staff, but during breakfast, they casually engaged me in conversation, which made me very happy. Their kind smiles and gentle demeanor truly embodied warmth and hospitality. While such service might seem standard or expected, it's surprisingly rare to find a Hotel that consistently delivers this level of care. I hope they continue maintaining this quality moving forward. I wasn’t familiar with Akasaka before this visit but now look forward to staying here again next time. Thank you!

    Full of disappointments

    Previously stayed at Escale in Ginza Monterey and had a great experience, so this time chose to stay in Akasaka. However, it was filled with countless disappointments that completely ruined my mood. This is truly an accommodation lacking respect and hospitality. It is rated as a four-star hotel online, but is that really true!? Some reception staff displayed negligent attitudes, the room had a poorly aligned bed arrangement, pillowcases were wrinkled with large creases, and despite reserving a table (with a placement card) at the dining area, we returned to find it occupied by foreign guests' belongings. When we asked staff for assistance, they simply told us to move elsewhere—an unacceptable response. When relocating to another table, the staff casually tossed our placement card aside. To top it off, at the buffet venue right after opening hours began, both coffee beans and water were already depleted in the coffee machine. The interior also looked cheap compared to photos online and matched its subpar service quality. I will never return nor recommend this place to anyone else.

    It exceeded expectations.

    It was my first stay, but the thoughtful services made it a very comfortable experience. Complimentary bottled tea (both hot and cold options) was available near the front desk, and there was a coffee machine in the room, which exceeded my expectations. The room was clean and user-friendly, with details like the TV remote being wrapped in film for hygiene, providing peace of mind. Although the facility is older, I am sensitive to noise but did not notice any disturbances from the hallway or other rooms. While it is a bit far from the station, I would still choose to stay at this hotel again when visiting Tokyo.

They mentioned how helpful it was, as they stayed late taking photos with guests and returning their outfits, missing the last train.     Considering the location, I’m satisfied.

    The Room is small, but I suppose that’s to be expected in Akasaka-Mitsuke. The bathroom was especially small. I think a shower-only setup without a bathtub would provide more space and be more comfortable.

    Prompt and meticulous service

    The check-in process was handled very politely. I arrived late and was quite exhausted, but the staff quickly and meticulously completed the procedure, making the experience pleasant. They seemed very smart and capable.

    I was satisfied again this time.

    This was my third stay, and this time I chose a Multiple Night Stay in a twin Room as it was more affordable, allowing me to relax in a spacious Room. The Room on the 8th floor had an excellent location with a view of the lush green forest right in front. On the second day, I requested replacement of the wet bath mat and trash removal, and they kindly brought bottled water and left extra tissues for us. I used the microwave at the front desk to warm up some bread, and I was happy to borrow a plate for that purpose. The amenities like makeup remover, bath salts, and even pain relief patches were very helpful—I used them on my feet and shoulders (as I happened to forget mine). Additionally, my stained dress came back clean from dry cleaning within just one day, which was incredibly convenient. Although there were some foreign guests around, it remained quiet and comfortable throughout our stay. The slope leading up is slightly noticeable but manageable given its convenient location for transportation. I would definitely love to stay here again—thank you!

    It was very comfortable.

    The facilities are not brand new, but the water areas are thoroughly cleaned and maintain a sense of cleanliness. The linens, including the soft pajamas, are very comfortable. The breakfast buffet is delicious, and the service staff provide excellent and attentive care. It's easy to see why there are so many repeat guests. During my stay, there were many international tourists at the front desk causing some congestion, but the staff handled everything politely without any signs of haste or rudeness. I was fortunate to have my room upgraded this time and enjoyed a lovely view of Akasaka Rikyu's greenery from my window. Opening the curtains in the morning to such a refreshing scene was truly delightful. Thank you very much!

    It was excellent.

    Upon check-in, we were greeted with the warmest smiles, which was a delightful surprise from the start. Additionally, we were generously offered a complimentary Room upgrade and had the chance to stay in a PH. Breakfast was quiet and relaxing, featuring an abundant variety of colorful dishes including both Japanese and Western options—everything was so delicious that I ended up overeating (laughs). It truly lived up to expectations, leaving us completely satisfied. The only reason for deducting one star is that the amenity bags in the Room felt sticky due to bathroom humidity. The stickiness made my fingers feel as if glue had stuck on them; although it came off with hot water, having to wash my hands every time I opened one was slightly inconvenient. That said, we were delighted by the welcome drinks, bath salts, and many other amenities provided—it made our stay even more enjoyable!

    Very satisfied.

    Conveniently located near the station and easy to find, right in front of Toyokawa Inari Shrine, which I had always wanted to visit. I was able to visit the shrine early in the morning. The breakfast was delightful, especially the weekend-only chocolate omelet, which I thoroughly enjoyed with rice. Later, I found out that the bread was made with natural yeast and wished I had tried it too. Next time I'm in Tokyo, I'd love to stay here again with my daughter. Thank you!
