    Very satisfied.

    Conveniently located near the station and easy to find, right in front of Toyokawa Inari Shrine, which I had always wanted to visit. I was able to visit the shrine early in the morning. The breakfast was delightful, especially the weekend-only chocolate omelet, which I thoroughly enjoyed with rice. Later, I found out that the bread was made with natural yeast and wished I had tried it too. Next time I'm in Tokyo, I'd love to stay here again with my daughter. Thank you!

    It was a very lovely Hotel.

    The service provided by the female staff at the front desk and during breakfast was excellent. There were various beauty-focused amenities, along with carefully selected showerheads and hairdryers, making for a very relaxing Hotel stay. The breakfast was also delicious!

    At the Foot of Akasaka Palace

    First time at Monterey Akasaka, and it's conveniently close to the Marunouchi Line. It took just over an hour to reach my home in Saitama. Great location, with Toraya right next door.

    Wish Unfulfilled

    The photos showed a retro vibe, and the price was reasonable, so I made the reservation hoping it would be clean. On the first floor, there were packs, sheets for relieving leg fatigue, bottled water, and amenities available, which was very convenient. The room was compact but equipped with basic amenities. There were also two bottles of water per person provided, which came in handy when heading out the next day. However, there was a 5mm ring of black mold around the metal part of the drain above the bathtub. When I scrubbed it with a used toothbrush the next day, it came off easily but left me feeling disappointed about having used that bath. Perhaps due to this issue or other factors, the air in the room felt dusty as well; it gave me an impression that this might have been a room not frequently used.

    National Stadium

    I had been looking forward to the World Athletics Championships at the National Stadium for over a year! Although I thought it might be a bit far from the stadium, I wanted to avoid taking crowded trains after the event and looked for accommodation within walking distance. It was about two train stations away, approximately a 30-minute walk. Stopping by a convenience store on the way back and strolling with my daughter made it feel like an easy distance. Before our stay, I read some reviews that mentioned complaints, but I personally had a wonderful two days. The staff kindly stored our luggage before check-in, and after officially checking in, we were able to choose necessary items like drinks and skincare products such as lotion and emulsion. What delighted me most was that they also provided face mask sheets and refreshing sheets for legs—perfect after walking so much under sunny skies. Additionally, the pajamas provided in the room were not one-piece knee-length gowns often found in hotels but rather separate top-and-bottom sets, which impressed both my daughter and me. The showerhead was bubble-style with just the right water pressure—it even made me want to replace ours at home! The hairdryer also had a head massage function. There were so many thoughtful services designed to soothe tired bodies. This review may reflect more of a female perspective, but if given another opportunity, I would love to stay here again.     Next time, come empty-handed!

    Stayed with a friend visiting from out of town for the first time in 12 years. It was a day of sudden downpours, and we got soaked just moving from the station. The front desk kindly provided towels, which helped us dry off before entering the room. Since we couldn’t stop by a convenience store, we were grateful to receive bottled tea, juice, ice, coffee pods, and even aromatic hand towels. The room also had water prepared for us. The amenities were fully stocked with everything you could need—foot care sheets and face masks included! In the bathroom, I found my favorite series of tea-scented products by Kao (a professional-use line I once looked up but never purchased due to its large size), which brought back fond memories. I had told my friend about the Simmons bed, Mirable showerhead, YA-MAN hairdryer, UCC coffee machine, comfortable pajamas, and buffet breakfast beforehand—they were excited! They ended up being impressed not only by these features but also by the lobby atmosphere and overall service quality throughout our stay. Breakfast was perfectly luxurious without being overwhelming. The café latte made with their coffee machine was delicious; since checkout was at 12 PM, I brought it back to our room to enjoy leisurely. A couple of minor quirks: there wasn’t a switch for the bathroom ventilation fan or any outlets in the sink area. All outlets were concentrated near the TV area—so I had to use my hairdryer in front of that mirror where both the coffee machine and kettle were placed. Even disposable slippers felt plush and incredibly comfortable—it was such an enjoyable stay that next time I’d love to come more casually without much luggage! We bought cakes from Shirotae—a popular long-established Western confectionery—and when we called reception asking for plates and forks they promptly brought them over; this thoughtful service was much appreciated. I’ve stayed at Monterey hotels often in Kobe before but this was my first time staying at one in Tokyo—and as always loved its ambiance! Unlike high-rise hotels it offers unique charm with plenty of relaxing moments despite being located right within bustling city life—a truly wonderful accommodation experience!

    Harry Potter

    Stayed for the purpose of watching the Harry Potter stage play. Stopped by the hotel once to leave my luggage. Upon entering the hotel, I felt relieved by the cool air conditioning and a lovely scent, perhaps roses, after walking under the scorching sun. Walked to the venue again and returned to the hotel still excited from the play. The hotel's atmosphere matched that of Harry Potter perfectly. The room had a calming interior with flowers adorning its ceiling, and I used a bath salt provided to relax my tired body. Breakfast was delicious with thoughtfully crafted dishes that were truly delightful. Afterward, visited Toraya next door—a sophisticated and wonderful shop where I also bought souvenirs, leaving me very satisfied. I absolutely loved it!

    Satisfied

    This trip was a girls' getaway. We were looking for an accommodation where four of us could stay in the same room, and we found this hotel, which made for a very enjoyable stay. The free drinks and unique amenities were impressive and added to the experience. However, there was some dust in the guest room and mold in the bathroom, which was a bit disappointing. That said, even with an extra bed added, the room didn’t feel cramped, so choosing this place turned out to be the right decision. My friends were also satisfied. Thank you for your hospitality!

    I was able to rest.

    On the first day, I stayed in a single room, and on the second day, I stayed in a twin room with a friend. Thank you for holding our luggage; it was very helpful. The napkins placed near the lobby were wonderfully cool and had a pleasant scent, which was especially appreciated during two scorching days. The complimentary bottled water was also much appreciated. Although it would be nice if it were slightly closer to the station as we walked from there, the room is spacious enough, and the accommodation cost feels reasonable. The quiet surroundings are also a plus. Thank you very much! I will use this accommodation again.

    Room and Facility are satisfactory.

    This was my first stay. The room had a retro feel, but the facilities (hairdryer, showerhead) were excellent, and there was even a coffee Dolce machine, which made me very satisfied. The pajamas were also separate pieces, and everything was perfect. Next time, I would like to try the breakfast. I will stay again if I have the chance. Thank you very much!

    First Time in Akasaka

    5-minute walk from Akasaka-Mitsuke, with about 3 convenience stores nearby, the location was excellent. The front desk service was efficient. Was it just me who found the map of the hotel surroundings a bit unclear? I would definitely like to stay here again next time. Thank you for your hospitality.

    Parking wait time: 10 minutes. Check-in counter: 1 staff member, 4 people waiting. After 5 minutes, additional staff arrived, reducing the wait time to 10 minutes for check-in. We kindly request more staff be added earlier to improve efficiency.

    Located in a prime area of Tokyo, it offers great value for money. Although most of the staff were foreigners, their service was excellent. I would like to stay at Hotel Monterey Akasaka again for my next visit to Tokyo.

    I wanted it to be perfect.

    I was impressed by the photos and made a Reservation. The service at the check-in counter was excellent, and I enjoyed a drink before heading to the Room (Room 302). The Room was spacious with a great view, but there were three disappointing points: 1. The bed-making, especially under the mattress, was not up to standard. I’ve attached a photo showing how it appeared untidy. It’s unfortunate as it’s in an immediately noticeable spot upon entering. 2. The carpet under the TV had stains—possibly from spilled coffee—that were very visible and unpleasantly large. This level of cleanliness is unacceptable for such an obvious area. 3. The bottom of the bathroom door had significant dirt buildup on its lower right side when opened (though it may have been cleaned since my stay). It reminded me of how dust accumulates in home bathrooms but felt out of place for a Hotel setting. I understand this feedback might sound harsh, but I hope these issues are addressed promptly because I genuinely want to stay here again and wish future guests to have an enjoyable experience. Aside from these three points, everything else was perfect! The amenity buffet with packs provided was much appreciated, as were the complimentary apple juice and tea—a delightful surprise since I wasn’t aware of them beforehand! All staff members maintained natural smiles throughout their service—it truly stood out as exceptional hospitality. The interior design gave off an international vibe; even showing photos of just the lobby or Room could make someone think they’re abroad! Since we visited a guesthouse nearby during our trip, this added charm made my stay even more memorable. Thank you for making my one-night stay so pleasant despite some minor setbacks—I look forward to returning!

    Work Relaxation

    Late check-in due to work was unfortunate, but staying at the elegant Monterey Akasaka refreshed my spirits. With its convenient location, even after a late night from business meetings, it’s perfect for recharging for the next day. Despite the late check-in, the warm smile and thoughtful greeting from the front desk staff eased my fatigue—truly grateful. The room was upgraded, allowing me to enjoy a spacious and comfortable stay. Breakfast was relaxing while enjoying the view outside. This is one of my favorite hotels that I would love to revisit!

    Perfect for girls' gatherings

    We stayed as a group of four after a class reunion over the weekend. The deluxe room was spacious enough even with four beds. The facility is slightly dated, but the greenery of Akasaka Palace right in front of the room was beautiful, and despite being along Route 246, it wasn’t bothersome, perhaps because it was the weekend. Amenities such as water, ice, and in-room coffee were well-stocked. We checked in at 3 PM and enjoyed chatting until just before the 12 PM checkout time the next day, fully enjoying our stay at the hotel. For a group of four, having separate bath and toilet areas was very convenient. Breakfast offered both Japanese and Western options, all delicious. Above all, we had a relaxing time together and decided to choose this place again for our next gathering. While we didn’t see other rooms ourselves, this accommodation seems ideal for families with children as well. The hotel staff provided courteous service throughout our stay. Personally, I would love to visit again—thank you!

    I stayed here for a concert at Shibuya Public Hall. The location was excellent, just a few minutes' walk from Akasaka-Mitsuke Station. Even though I made the reservation the day before, my stay was very comfortable. The facility seems to focus on key areas like beds and bathrooms, ensuring quality in those aspects. Although there were many international tourists, the staff handled everything efficiently. It felt more like a casual hotel rather than a business hotel—compact and stylish. The stay included breakfast, which was a highly satisfying buffet. I would love to stay here again!

    The staff provides excellent service.

    Attended the Japan Athletics Championships at the National Stadium and stayed overnight for support. Arrived by car and first entered the parking lot, where the staff kindly guided us. They also provided directions to the hotel entrance, which we followed to check in smoothly. The reception was welcoming with smiles—great service! Breakfast is a buffet starting at 6:30 AM on the 2nd floor. The variety was abundant, and everything tasted delicious, but what stood out most was the quality of the ingredients. The staff's attentiveness was excellent, making it a very comfortable experience overall. The hotel's staff maintained a perfect balance of friendliness and professionalism, leaving me feeling that choosing this hotel was absolutely worth it!

    A great base for exploring Tokyo.

    This is my first time staying at a Hotel in this chain. It’s close to the station and the dining area. The design is charming, and they pay attention to the scent as well. The amenities were plentiful for a standard Room—beauty items in the Room, and two bottles of mineral water per person—so I was satisfied with the level of service. The breakfast buffet was well balanced overall. I plan to stay again next time.

    Security Measures?

    There were no particular issues with the cleanliness of the Room, the overall atmosphere of the Hotel, or the staff's service attitude. While it is good that elevators can only be used with a card for security purposes, it was very inconvenient to have to go down to the first floor each time when traveling between different guest floors with companions.

    Quiet Hotel

    First stay. Stayed in a twin room, which was small as it was standard; no deluxe option available. Breakfast was good as per the reviews. Despite being near Route 246 with heavy traffic, there were no emergency vehicle noises, making it a very quiet hotel. The hotel overall is chic and stylish, with good access and reasonable pricing. Will stay again.

    I had a comfortable stay.

    Deluxe Twin Room (3rd Floor) Stay for 3 Guests Being on the 3rd floor, there was a bit of noise from Aoyama Street, but the excellent service from the staff more than made up for it. I would love to stay here again when visiting Tokyo. It was raining heavily, and when I tried to hail a taxi, the reception staff kindly stopped one for me and even let it wait in the hotel parking lot. The breakfast lived up to its reputation and was delicious. The sea bream rice bowl and desserts were particularly delightful that day. Thank you for your hospitality!

    Spend timeless moments.

    The Room had some signs of aging in places, but it was very comfortable. It was bright, and the toilet, dressing room, and bathroom were spacious, making it very cozy. The staff spoke kindly and responded to requests with a gentle smile, which made the stay even more pleasant. Thank you for your various accommodations. The amenities were also very well-equipped. I had a truly wonderful time.

    A reliable accommodation for your stay.

    I enjoy staying at Monterey hotels in various locations, and I often choose this one when in Tokyo. (I live in Kanagawa, but I stay here when I have consecutive plans in Tokyo.) This time, they upgraded me to a more spacious Room. The furnishings, including the shared areas, are elegant and create a comfortable atmosphere that provides a sense of security. Hotels in Tokyo have become more expensive, but within the same price range, I would choose this Hotel.

    I was very satisfied.

    Room: The spacious interior with calming tones provided a relaxing stay. The fluffy and comfortable indoor slippers were a delightful touch for me. Breakfast: A wide variety of Japanese and Western dishes, along with unique hotel specialties, were available. Enjoying the meal at a window-side seat while admiring the Akasaka scenery added to the elegant experience. Facility & Service: The reception was smooth and welcoming with smiles, and the lobby featured a charming classical atmosphere adorned with paintings and ornaments.     I understand how you feel, but...

    The air conditioner's switch is located near the lighting switch, which caused confusion as it seemed like a temperature adjustment. On a hot day, only the heating function was activated. I noticed the operation mode switch in the morning... If this confused me as a Japanese guest, would it not be even more challenging for international guests? Also, it felt unusual that the room became very warm with heating set to 16°C. While it's understandable to face challenges deciding between cooling and heating during seasonal transitions, this setup might need reconsideration.

    Cozy and homely

    We stayed in a Deluxe Twin Room for four people as a family. The extra bed's mattress was comfortable, and the calm atmosphere of the room, though not brand new, added to its charm and made it very cozy. The room was clean, and having two bathrooms (with toilets) was a great plus. Additionally, the location near Akasaka-Mitsuke is excellent—convenient yet quiet despite being in the city center. Breakfast was served in an intimate dining area with a wide variety of menu options. The pancake maker was especially fun! It was wonderful to relax and spend quality time as a family. We would love to stay here again. Thank you very much!
