    It became a wonderful memory.

    Thank you for your continued patronage during your visits to Obihiro. Once again, we had a wonderful stay this time. Although the front desk staff seemed a bit tired and less welcoming, the shop staff were incredibly kind and comforting. It was my birthday, so I went to buy a cake but arrived too early as it hadn’t been delivered yet. Just as I was about to leave, it arrived, and the staff promptly informed me and explained everything kindly. When I mentioned it was my birthday, they gave me recommendations along with warm congratulations, which made me feel truly happy. The cherry blossoms in the courtyard were beautiful as well. While admiring them, even an Ezo squirrel came by—it became such a memorable experience. Thank you very much!

    Japan's Heartfelt Hotel

    I stay at many hotels every year, but this Hotel is great! It's hard to pinpoint exactly what makes it so good, but if I had to say: - Not influenced by foreign trends - Warm and friendly staff In recent times, with rising costs and labor expenses, more hotels are cutting back on decorations while charging extra for small things. I hope this Hotel continues its current style. Of course, the moor Onsen and sauna were also fantastic. Thank you very much!

    Breakfast is excellent!

    As always, it was excellent. The Japanese-style breakfast here is simple and the best in the region. It's just a shame that this rate is only available during this season.

    A Monthly Treat

    I can only stay occasionally due to a busy schedule, but I treat myself to an accommodation once a month. Last time, I forgot a container with snacks in the fridge and assumed it was discarded since there was no contact. However, during check-in this time, they handed it back saying, "This is your forgotten item from last time!" Not only that, but it had been washed and sanitized—truly impressive service from Hokkaido Hotel! After enjoying the onsen, I fell asleep right away and slept twice as long as usual. Feeling refreshed!

    Loved the Tokachi Moor Onsen and visited again. The Forest Spa Twin is excellent.

    During my previous trip to Obihiro, I fell in love with the Tokachi Moor Onsen. While I enjoyed the accommodation and the quality of the Onsen during my last stay, I found the public bath area a bit crowded due to its small changing room and day-use guests. This time, I chose the Forest Spa Twin Room, allowing me to bathe at my own pace anytime. It was a perfect choice that greatly enhanced my satisfaction. The room was comfortable, and after bathing, I relaxed in the provided bathrobe while enjoying complimentary drinks from the refrigerator. Listening to my favorite music through a Bluetooth speaker made it even more enjoyable. When feeling peckish, I used IKYU Diamond benefits vouchers for sweets or deliciously chewy bread from Uncle Morsens Bakery. Additionally, spending time in the lounge with coffee added to an overall fulfilling experience. This hotel offers high-quality services across various aspects, including its Everything North shop—how you use it makes all the difference. The staff's service was professional yet unobtrusive; they responded promptly and accurately to requests with an air of traditional hospitality that made for a pleasant stay.     Comfortable. The moor Onsen was richer than others!

    I decided to stay at Hokkaido Hotel instead of a Business Hotel. The staff were all polite and kind, and despite arriving a bit early due to a flight delay, they allowed me to check into my room. The room was spacious with wooden flooring and branch-inspired designs, which is rare in modern hotels. I believe it was a Garden Side Standard Room, and it was more than sufficient. The bath facilities were excellent with a high-temperature sauna, and the Onsen had richer minerals compared to the Business Hotel I stayed at last year, leaving my skin smooth and soft. I absolutely loved it! It exceeded my expectations—highly recommended!

    Satisfaction guaranteed no matter when you stay.

    In Tokachi, Tokachigawa Daiichi Hotel and here are excellent. It is a bit disappointing that the Onsen loses its relaxing atmosphere due to day-use guests, as it is not very spacious. If day-use could be limited until around 16:00, it would enhance the satisfaction of accommodation guests. Other than that, the guest rooms, breakfast, and staff are all exceptional!

    The sauna temperature setting and outdoor bath are excellent.

    The sauna has a great reputation, so I visited as part of a "sauna trip." The temperature setting was perfect, making it easy to sweat comfortably. Although the space was smaller than it appeared in the photos and slightly disappointing, the outdoor air bath in the open-air area felt wonderful. However, to access the bath, guests must pass through the front desk area in yukata attire. Since this Hotel also hosts weddings, it felt quite awkward to see formally dressed guests and those in yukata with no makeup crossing paths on the same floor. The front desk staff provided very pleasant service. A dedicated elevator that allows direct access to the bath without passing through the front desk would make for a more comfortable experience.

    Your kind assistance with remote work arrangements before my stay was greatly appreciated. The moor Onsen was very relaxing, allowing me to refresh and work efficiently at the same time. I look forward to staying again next year. Nearby Midorigaoka Park is home to Hokkaido squirrels, flying squirrels, and long-tailed tits. Although I couldn't spot the flying squirrels this time, I think the location is exceptional for being in the middle of the city.

    A Monthly Treat

    I stay at the accommodation once a month for relaxation. Recently, I skip breakfast, have lunch, and then head home. Both Western and Japanese cuisine are delicious. I was impressed by the splurge-worthy grilled eel bento I took out. Unable to forget it, I ordered takeout several times, but the last time it was overly salty and the eel was thin. Hoping freshly made would taste better, I tried again but found it still too salty. It used to have a rich charcoal flavor with fluffy texture—did something change along the way? The staff remain efficient and leave a good impression, and I still like the hotel itself overall, so I'll continue using it in the future.

    The Moor Onsen was great.

    The bath was excellent. The room felt a bit small, but it was clean and comfortable. We chose a meal-inclusive plan and enjoyed a Japanese-style dinner. While the dishes were refined and well-prepared, they lacked a sense of luxury or festivity—it felt quite ordinary. The staff were cheerful, kind, and very pleasant. For breakfast, my husband and I selected one Japanese set meal and one Western-style meal; these were also fairly standard (no complaints). We appreciated the Yotsuba milk provided. The overall atmosphere of the hotel was warm and welcoming, making it a lovely place to stay. The accommodation also had a lounge for guests where we could relax comfortably—this was an excellent feature!

    I used it for his birthday, but it was disappointing.

    I stayed in a room with a private open-air bath on the 5th floor for the first time to celebrate his birthday. The room was clean and comfortable, but the view from the open-air bath faced buildings like AEON and NISSAN, which lacked ambiance. Given its central location, this might be unavoidable, but I was slightly concerned about being visible from the other side. Additionally, there seemed to be construction work happening in the banquet hall on the 2nd floor, and the noise made it hard to relax. However, spotting a squirrel in the garden was a rare moment of excitement. The Onsen itself was very nice but lacked a sense of exclusivity. The front desk staff's casual approach also gave an impression similar to that of a Business Hotel. It would have been more enjoyable with a touch of extraordinary experience.

    Wonderful Hotel

    This time, I really wanted to visit Lake Shikaribetsu's Shikaribetsu Kotan, so I stayed at this Hotel. The spacious Hotel lived up to its reputation with a high-temperature sauna that was very pleasant, and the Onsen was excellent. Originally planned for a two-night stay, but on the morning of our scheduled checkout day, about 1.5 meters of snow fell, marking the highest snowfall on record. Both highways and national roads were closed, and all flights at Obihiro Airport were canceled. With no roads safe to travel due to whiteout conditions, we were advised that it would be safer to extend our stay, which we did. Within a day, all the Hotel staff worked together to clear the snow so cars could pass outside the Hotel; eventually both national roads and highways became passable again allowing us to move on safely. The efforts of all the Hotel staff in snow removal and providing traffic information were incredibly helpful. We are truly grateful for everything you did for us. We will definitely use your services again in the future.

    I was able to relax.

    This is my third stay. Last time I came with my family, but this time, due to work fatigue, I decided to stay alone on short notice. I arrived at the Hotel early, and the staff who assisted me was very courteous, allowing me to enter the Room early. In the Room, I repeatedly enjoyed the Onsen and relaxed on the terrace. The Onsen was slightly hot but pleasant, and cooling off on the terrace afterward was comfortable. The Room was excellent, and the shop inside the Property had a great selection, making me lose track of time. For breakfast, I chose Western cuisine without hesitation. The bread was delicious, which was irresistible for a bread lover like me. It was a trip where I was soothed by the Hotel and its staff. I would love to stay again. Thank you very much.

    Very satisfied!

    My first time in Obihiro... I chose this Hotel based on a friend's recommendation, and I was extremely satisfied. (Using the IKYU Diamond benefits also enhanced my satisfaction.) The Hotel had wooden bear carvings in various places, which were heartwarming and soothing. In the stylish Room overlooking the garden, we lit the fireplace and enjoyed a relaxing, extraordinary experience. We avoided the crowded times and fully enjoyed the Moor Onsen. The meals at the Hotel featured ingredients from Hokkaido and were incredibly delicious. The Tokachi F1 beef tongue stew we had for dinner was exquisite. And during breakfast, I was thrilled to see Ezo squirrels running around the garden up close! My husband even said, "Two nights weren't enough," which I completely agree with. (One reason being the three breakfast options available.) Thanks to this, we were able to relax and refresh ourselves. Thank you very much.

    Thank you for your hospitality again.

    This time, we were taken care of during our group trip with three families. Each family stayed in a different type of Room, but the highlight was definitely the maisonette-type Room. On the 9th floor of Hidaka, we could see the snow-capped Hidaka Mountains and Daisetsuzan, and my son's family seemed very satisfied. Also, we were taken care of for one night at the Bird Watch Cafe for dinner, and even though it wasn't a course meal, the a la carte dishes were more than satisfying. Moreover, we were able to see the usual energetic Ezo squirrels in the courtyard this time as well. We look forward to being taken care of again this fall.

    It was very good.

    It was my first stay. When I wrote a pillow request at the time of reservation, I received a prompt reply asking which type I preferred, soft or firm. I appreciated the thoughtful consideration. Of course, during my stay, the requested pillow was properly set up. I arrived a little early, but they immediately took care of my luggage. Later, when the room was ready, they called out to me, and despite having other guests, they remembered my face and attended to me. My luggage was smoothly transported to the room. This hotel, where such basics are smartly handled, is indeed a long-established hotel. The room was clean and had a very good atmosphere, and I was able to relax as I couldn't hear any noise from the corridor. I chose Japanese cuisine for breakfast. There were many types of side dishes, pleasing to the eye, and I was delighted that many fresh local ingredients were used. I could choose between white rice and multigrain rice. Everything was very delicious, and I was very satisfied with a full stomach. At the Birdwatch Café, the breakfast venue, I enjoyed watching small birds and squirrels outside the window. It was also nice to have a lounge exclusively for guests. The water of the natural flowing mall onsen was very, very good, making my body warm and my skin smooth. However, the large public bath was relatively small, and after dinner on the day of arrival, it was crowded with about eight children and adults each, so I couldn't use the washing area. The timing was bad, and the open-air bath was also full, so I couldn't enter. When I went at 8 a.m. the next morning, it was less crowded, and I thoroughly enjoyed the open-air bath. Overall, the water was very good, and the meals were also good, so I made a reservation for my next stay before checking out.

    I was healed.

    I used this for the first time because I wanted to visit Obihiro Shrine and Obihiro Zoo. I was thrilled to see Ezo squirrels during breakfast, and chickadees came outside the Room every morning. The staff at the reception and the restaurant were pleasant, making it a Hotel I would like to visit again. I was also able to relax in the bath. Thank you very much!

    Satisfied with the level of customer service

    As expected of a hotel, the staff's service is more attentive than that of a regular onsen property. The facility and meal rank is 4, but I was satisfied with the service, so my desire to use it again is 5. If I could have used a higher floor, the view of the Tokachi mountain range would have been excellent.

    Thick Moor Onsen with its own source flowing freely

    About an hour and a half from Tokyo, Tokachi Airport offers a relaxing atmosphere with a view of the Hidaka Mountains in the distance and the vast Tokachi Plain. Hokkaido Hotel, located in the city, offers a lush and relaxing environment. Enjoy the open-air bath with natural hot spring water and the room's moor Onsen set at 40 degrees. The Forest Spa Twin has been available 28 times since 2015 (Hokkaido Hotel has been available 48 times since 2012). Always enjoy the seasonal scenery and delicious meals. As a hotel, we provide a full range of towels and offer a comfortable holiday life with attentive yet privacy-focused service. Enjoy delicious meals at Tokachi's Nagaya, La Libera, Marione, Kita no Yatai, and more, all accessible by taxi for around 1,000 yen. The next day, visit Nakasatsunai, and on the third day, return to the Forest Spa Twin. Thank you for the rich natural moor Onsen and comfortable space from the vast grounds, always selected as a Hokkaido Heritage site. Next time, we hope for snow scenery and Tokachi sunshine, planning a Multiple Night Stay in the Forest Spa Twin in early March. Now fully rested, ready to work hard from next week.

    Good Hotel for Obihiro Sightseeing

    It is a bit far from Obihiro Station, but you can get there within the basic taxi fare. There is a bus stop for the airport shuttle bus in front of the Hotel, which is convenient. You can also purchase bus tickets for the same day at the Hotel's front desk. The Hotel has a large public bath with a moor Onsen, which you can enjoy. Breakfast is not a buffet; you can choose between Japanese or Western style, and there is freshly baked bread, which is delicious. The service was (in my personal opinion) neither particularly good nor bad. Unfortunately, perhaps due to the old construction of the Hotel, the noise from the upper floors was quite audible below, and I was woken up twice during the night, preventing me from getting enough sleep. I had requested a "quiet Room" in advance, but it was disappointing.

    I made a reservation...

    I made a reservation for a plan with breakfast, avoiding busy periods because I want to enjoy the mall onsen and the room is lovely. This room is always satisfying no matter how many times I visit. It's nice for those who bathe multiple times that they don't have to bring their own towels. I hope there is bathing time available until just before checkout. I feel rejuvenated.

    Revisit

    A few years ago, when COVID-19 was just starting to spread, my husband and I quietly stayed at this Property. The Room with a fireplace was comfortable, and the moor Onsen was pleasant. Wanting to visit again, we made an early Reservation for our 25th wedding anniversary trip this time. The Room with an open-air bath was spacious, had a fireplace, and was modern, exceeding our expectations. The open-air bath was semi-outdoor with a great view, allowing us to enjoy the Onsen leisurely while overlooking a courtyard with squirrels. We also used the large bath and sauna on the first floor, and then relaxed in the Room's bath, enjoying a blissful time. For dessert at dinner, they prepared a congratulatory plate and a commemorative photo, making it a wonderful memory. The meals were allergy-friendly, allowing us to enjoy delicious food with peace of mind. The late checkout privilege allowed us to have a leisurely morning, which my husband was very pleased with. The Hotel is in the city but quiet, and we enjoyed sightseeing in the surrounding area, making it a Property we want to visit again. Thank you very much.
