    We take pride in Takanawa Prince Hotel.

    Stayed in the Deluxe King Room twice within half a month. The first time, the room was well-prepared with amenities like bathrobes, but during the second stay, the room lacked such essentials, including bathrobes. I had to call and request them to be brought to the room. When I asked for wine glasses to enjoy wine in the room—specifically large glasses for red wine and smaller ones for white—I was told they could only provide what was available at that moment. What arrived were very basic glasses similar to those given out for free at liquor stores. This lack of attention to detail was disappointing. Prince Hotel has sold many properties as part of its focus and selection strategy. Takanawa has been enhanced through repeated renovations as a historic hotel, so service should also be improved further; otherwise, it risks losing out to international hotel chains. Since you are managing such an excellent asset, I sincerely hope you strive harder moving forward!

    Excellent value for money!

    We stayed in a Room with club lounge access. Lounge hopping was a lot of fun, and being able to enjoy draft beer anytime made it truly a happy time. The food was even better than expected, and we were very satisfied. Getting between the Hotels was easy and comfortable with the free shuttle bus. Taking a walk while looking out over the Japanese garden was also refreshing and relaxing. We were able to spend an amazing holiday with friends. This is a Hotel we would definitely like to stay at again.

    A Long-Awaited Club Lounge Experience!

    After several years, I decided on a Multiple Night Stay! Overall, I was satisfied, but some changes were disappointing... It would be great if breakfast could be enjoyed at two locations! The Room was compact but clean and comfortable. Although it was on the tower side, the night view from the bed was obstructed by the window frame, which was also disappointing. Still, I definitely want to stay here again next time!

    Staying weekly. The air conditioning...

    I stay in the Club Room every week, and almost all the rooms on the 14th floor have faulty air conditioning. The heating cannot be adjusted properly, and sometimes I feel like opening the window. It gets so hot that I wake up even while sleeping. Even with the air conditioning turned off, it’s still hot. Whether set to 18°C or 25°C, it feels exactly the same with heating coming out—it’s broken. Honestly, this place should be rebuilt along with Shin-Takanawa. The Club Lounge remains cheap as always. Despite repeatedly asking for changes to breakfast options, I end up eating the exact same thing every week—it's getting boring!

    Regular accommodation.

    Cross the pedestrian crossing from Shinagawa Station, walk up a slight slope to enter Sakura Tower, take the elevator at the far end up one floor, and step out into the garden. This is always my route. As I step into the garden, I feel a sense of relief and comfort as if my day's work has come to an end. The building has undergone renovations for some time but now feels settled, and the Rooms are well-maintained. It’s incredibly comfortable here. Occasionally, I try other Hotels out of curiosity but always find myself returning to this one. With ever-changing global circumstances making management challenging, I sincerely hope this place remains steadfastly preserved.

    I had a relaxing stay.

    We booked a room for three people, and it was spacious and comfortable. The breakfast buffet was delicious, and my 6-year-old grandchild especially enjoyed the melon, saying it was really tasty while eating plenty of it. They also loved the pancakes, pumpkin soup, steamed vegetables, and fresh salad with carrot dressing. The steamed vegetables were much appreciated. The garden was wonderful as well—we will definitely return!

    Staying weekly.

    The rise in accommodation prices in Tokyo is extraordinary. This hotel has more than doubled its rates compared to before. While the bathrooms have been renovated and improved, many rooms, especially on the club floor, lack proper air conditioning control—almost all of them. Even when lowering the temperature setting due to heat, the heating continues to operate, forcing guests to turn off the system entirely. Ultimately, it doesn't cool down enough, leading guests to open windows for relief. This issue is particularly noticeable during morning hours when sunlight hits directly. It’s very inconvenient and can even cause discomfort like sweating while sleeping. As for the club lounge, while evening snacks from 5–7 PM have significantly improved, breakfast remains exactly the same every day with a limited selection of items. Staying here weekly means encountering nearly identical offerings each time—it’s far from enjoyable. A limited and repetitive menu is highly disappointing for a club lounge experience; more creativity is needed here. At least allow access to the patio as previously requested! Additionally, operating hours are not early enough—there's still much room for improvement overall.

    Good value for money. However, I was surprised by the sound of footsteps from the upper floor (possibly diagonally above) at night while trying to sleep. It would have been perfect without this issue—such a shame!

    A cozy old-style Hotel

    As an established hotel, the garden's beauty is truly exceptional, offering a charm that modern, clean hotels with advanced infrastructure cannot replicate. The room was an old-style type reminiscent of my childhood family trips, evoking a sense of nostalgia. Located in a secluded area away from the main street, it provided a serene atmosphere that made it hard to believe we were in the city center. However, one downside was the unpleasant smell from the drainage in the bathroom due to the facility's age, which dampened our experience. If this issue could be resolved, I would love to stay at this hotel again.

    A Luxurious Summer Retreat

    In the scorching heat of August, I stayed with a friend on the club floor. The hospitality unique to a long-established accommodation, the serene room interior, the Japanese garden in the city center, views of Tokyo Tower from the room, the tasteful club lounge, Sakura Tower's bath—everything was perfectly comfortable. From check-in to check-out, I thoroughly enjoyed what felt like an ideal adult getaway. The Diamond Member benefits were also excellent. I look forward to staying again during midsummer!

    We always choose to stay on the Club Floor. The accommodation is not too large in scale, offering a quiet and relaxing atmosphere, including the lobby. Sharing the Club Lounge with Shin Takanawa is an excellent feature that we are very satisfied with. While the bathroom's compact size is a slight drawback, we look forward to enjoying Sakura Tower's bath facilities next time. Lastly, we are always deeply impressed by the warm and kind bell service team. This time as well, they promptly assisted us with shipping our luggage and even came to our room to collect it. For us as a couple, this hotel provides peace of mind and trust. Thank you very much!

    I had a great night's sleep.

    I stayed in a room with club lounge access during my business trip, as I wanted to relax in the evenings. Both lounges were comfortable, but I especially enjoyed the Japanese hors d'oeuvres and sweets during cocktail time at Grand Prince Hotel Takanawa. After having some snacks at the lounge and supplementing with a club house sandwich from Komyo, I was completely full. Although room service was unavailable, when I made a phone reservation at Komyo, they prepared a window-side seat for me where I could enjoy the beautiful garden night view. The Tokyo Tower night view was also stunning, and the bed was so comfortable that I had a great night's sleep. Thanks to this restful stay, I felt more energized on the second day of my business trip than on the first. Breakfast was also delicious. This hotel stay is highly recommended for refreshing yourself. The only downside would be that the hallway's room fragrance (?) had a spicy scent that wasn’t to my liking—but this might just be personal preference!

    The front desk is...

    Check-in at 2:00 PM with Diamond Member benefits. The attitude of the front desk staff was unpleasant! It was shocking to experience such behavior unexpectedly. Since it was my first time staying at a Prince Hotel, I assumed this is just how it is. As a solo female traveler, I wanted to avoid business hotels... but in hindsight, maybe a business hotel would have been better.

    Excellent!

    I have used the club floor multiple times, and being able to enjoy the tea time and cocktail time at the lounges of two Hotels makes my stay absolutely delightful. All the breakfast options are delicious. The front desk staff's service is also excellent. Thank you as always!

    On the Night of the Thirteenth Moon

    I have stayed here several times. The service was polite, and I had a comfortable stay. Thank you. I stayed in a Room with a view of Tokyo Tower, and stepping out into the garden allowed me to enjoy the moon on the thirteenth night. Regarding the sink that I noticed before, its glass size is a bit narrow for women to use comfortably, making it difficult to place cosmetics. It would be more convenient if it were slightly wider.

    Wife's Birthday

    A serene weekend to momentarily forget the hustle and bustle of daily life—this year, for my wife's birthday, I once again booked a stay at the always wonderful "Grand Prince Takanawa." This accommodation holds a special place in our hearts since our first visit, where it gifted us with countless heartfelt moments. Encounters with genuine hospitality, exquisite cuisine crafted with care, breathtaking night views that stir the soul—all of it felt natural and deeply moving. We realized this was a space where everything simply resonated with us. Here, we can be ourselves without pretense—seeing, tasting, feeling—and every stay naturally brings smiles to our faces. It’s truly an accommodation that touches the heart. My wife sat beside me this time as well, smiling throughout our stay. Sharing the same space and emotions together brought us another precious gift of happiness from this place. It’s an extraordinary accommodation that makes me wish to see her smile by my side again next year on her birthday.

    First time in Takanawa

    I have stayed at Sakura Tower and Shin Takanawa before, but this was my first time at Takanawa. I enjoyed the Club Floor experience. I appreciated being able to use a different club lounge (it was nice to see some variety), access the 24-hour fitness center, and enjoy the sauna, blower bath, and massage chairs at Sakura Tower (which were newly updated—amazing!). My favorite items from the lounge menu were matcha pound cake, smoked salmon, sushi rolls, and burdock crackers. However, there were a few disappointments during my stay. When I entered the room, I noticed hair on top of the toilet lid and next to the sink. While nothing else seemed dirty and I heard that the hotel was fully booked so I didn’t report it to reception—it wasn’t a pleasant experience. Additionally, when using the fitness room twice during my stay, there were no towels available both times. Even after calling reception for assistance, it took quite some time for someone to respond. Perhaps keeping more stock readily available would help? Lastly, I felt that there seemed to be an increase in staff members who lacked smiles or greetings compared to previous visits—this is truly unfortunate as it impacts guest impressions significantly. Perhaps training has become more challenging in recent times?

    I reserved a room with access to the club lounge. The Japanese garden was beautiful, and the lighting was stunning. I often stay at Prince Hotels recently, and overall, their customer service is excellent and attentive. ○ Highlights: - Access to two lounges (lounge hopping) - Friendly and kind customer service with smiles - Free use of Sakura Tower's bath facilities - Free use of massage chairs - Early check-in accommodated despite arriving slightly ahead of schedule (thank you!) ○ Areas for Improvement: - It would be nice if meat or fish were available in the evening at Takanawa Lounge (Japanese style). - Rooms with club lounge access could have baths with washing areas. - Having zero-calorie cola would be appreciated.

    I stayed at the Grand Prince Hotel Takanawa for three nights. During my stay, I opted out of daily cleaning services and made my own choices. Every morning, a newspaper was hung on the doorknob, and it would be even more appreciated if consumables like mineral water or coffee could also be provided. Alternatively, having a tag to hang on the doorknob to request necessary supplies would be more convenient. One slightly disappointing aspect of this stay was the noise from the air conditioning in the room. For the first two days, I spent little time in the room and didn’t notice it much, but on the final day, I clearly felt something was wrong. Upon requesting an inspection by hotel staff, it turned out that a receipt from a previous guest had gotten inside the air conditioning unit. In future stays, perhaps having cleaning staff run a quick check of air conditioning during morning cleaning could prevent such issues. Additionally, I found that having a convenience store in the first-floor lobby was very helpful for everyday needs and meals. Overall, Grand Prince Hotel Takanawa is an excellent accommodation where I would love to stay again. With further attention to small details like these mentioned above, it could provide an even more comfortable experience for guests.

    The stay was short but comfortable.

    I arrived at night and left early in the morning, but my stay was comfortable with no particular complaints. For meals, I had options to choose from, but due to the rain, I opted for the buffet at the accommodation. While overall it was good, nothing stood out as particularly memorable. If considered an upper-class hotel, the variety of dishes might be slightly limited. There were also several small smoothie cups that were not properly cleaned. The accommodation is close to Shinagawa Station, and I would consider staying here again if given another opportunity.

    Fewer lounge areas, but still very satisfied!

    I stayed at this accommodation several times during the era of three lounge options. This time, the available lounges were limited to two, and breakfast was restricted to the hotel I was staying at, which made me hesitate about booking here. However, in the end, I decided to stay—and it turned out to be an excellent choice. The room I stayed in had a spacious layout and offered a stunning view of Tokyo Tower and the cityscape of Tokyo—this comfort remained unchanged. Naturally, my main interest was in the lounges. First, I visited the tea time at Takanawa where I was staying. To my surprise and delight, beer was available even during daytime hours! Previously there seemed to be no alcohol offerings during tea time. There were also snacks like rice crackers and nuts that left me very satisfied. Afterward, I moved on to Shin-Takanawa for their tea time as well. They also served beer—including craft beer! The snacks provided gave an impression that tea time had been upgraded compared to when there were three lounge options before. This raised my expectations for cocktail hour. For cocktail hour, I first headed back to Shin-Takanawa’s lounge—and what an upgrade! The hors d'oeuvres featured high-quality ingredients like shrimp and squid with dishes that felt homemade rather than pre-prepared frozen items often seen elsewhere—truly worthy of a hotel club lounge experience. Next up was Takanawa’s cocktail hour; similarly impressive with fish and meat dishes on offer—it could easily serve as a full meal between these two locations alone! It felt like everything had been completely elevated compared with before—I couldn’t have been more satisfied by this point. What exceeded all expectations further though? Breakfast on the following day at Takanawa’s lounge (the only one accessible). Initially not expecting much excitement heading into breakfast—I ended up pleasantly surprised beyond words: both variety & quality levels far surpassed previous experiences across multiple lounges combined previously experienced here years ago… Highlights included premium items such as grilled black cod or salmon marinated Kyoto-style alongside buffet spreads aplenty—even morning beers being served too!! Starting mornings indulging delicious food paired w/beer truly epitomized perfection itself honestly speaking leaving lasting impressions wanting revisit solely relive similar culinary moments again someday soon hopefully! While initially apprehensive thinking reduction from 3-lounge system down-to-2 might result scaling-down overall guest-experience instead reality proved opposite entirely surpassing every expectation imaginable throughout entire stay duration ultimately eagerly anticipating next opportunity return future occasions ahead assuredly looking forward reconnecting once-again warmly welcoming atmosphere provided consistently exceptional hospitality standards maintained always appreciated immensely thank-you kindly regards

    The Club Floor is exceptional!

    I stayed on the Club Floor. The breakfast could use a bit more variety. The drinks were abundant and enjoyable. The garden was amazing, especially the nighttime illumination, which created a magical atmosphere. The view from the Room gave a true sense of being in the heart of Tokyo, with a clear view of the iconic Tokyo Tower nearby. It was a wonderful Tokyo trip.
