The room was renovated, very clean, and offered a beautiful view of Lake Suwa (even from the bath). It would have been more pleasant if the guidance to the room upon arrival had been a bit more welcoming. The private onsen bath in the room had natural hot spring water flowing slightly, but it was curious that it didn’t overflow even after some time (it is said not to be circulated). Dinner was satisfying with a sense of seasonality. The dobin-mushi with Nagano-grown matsutake mushrooms had a wonderful aroma and was delicious. Both dinner and breakfast were served in a quiet private room facing a serene garden, allowing for relaxed dining. It was an accommodation I’d like to stay at again if given the chance.
