  • The best Hotel!

    This trip to Hokkaido was a three-sister getaway to celebrate my older sister’s 70th birthday.I requested a birthday message plate, and on the day you kindly prepared a private Room for us.The dessert message plate was wonderful as well!Dinner, including the grilled scallops, was absolutely delicious.I’ve been recommending this Accommodation to my friends—if you’re going to Otaru, please be sure to stay here!Thank you very much. The staff were very kind, and we truly enjoyed talking with you.Thank you again.

  • Just steps from the Otaru Canal

    We stayed here for a family trip.The Otaru Canal was very close, and we could even see it from our Room.The exhibits, such as the models in the entrance area, were interesting.We had both dinner and breakfast. They were served at the on-site restaurant, and it could get crowded at times.As for the bath, it was Silver Week so there were many guests, and there were only about 10 washing stations, so we waited a little, but it was very relaxing.They also stored our luggage for us, which was convenient for sightseeing (there are no hangers to leave items like jackets on, so you need to put them in a bag before asking).It was a Hotel that perfectly matched Otaru’s retro atmosphere.

[Notice of Introduction of Accommodation Tax (Effective April 1, 2026)] In Otaru City, Hokkaido, an Accommodation Tax will be introduced starting April 1, 2026.
The tax rate per person per night will be: JPY 300 for stays with a basic rate from JPY 0 to under JPY 20,000; JPY 400 for stays with a basic rate from JPY 20,000 to under JPY 50,000; and JPY 700 for stays with a basic rate of JPY 50,000 or more.
(In Hokkaido as well, an Accommodation Tax is levied based on local ordinances; Otaru City will collect the tax in a consolidated manner.)

On the top floor of the main building, we offer a large public bath with natural Onsen water—rare even within the city. The source is named “Otaru Canal no Yu.” The men’s bath overlooks the canal, while the women’s bath features an open-air bath. Known for its heat-retaining properties that help prevent chills after bathing, this spring quality is also said to promote collagen production and provide rejuvenating (anti-aging) benefits. Its signature comfort feels like being gently enveloped in warmth.
