Nintendo has been making history since 1889. Its former headquarters—the company’s birthplace—has been reborn here in Kyoto’s Kagiyamachi as Marufukuro. Preserving the charm and dignity of Nintendo’s early days, the [Existing Wing] lets you feel echoes of the past, while the [New Wing], design-supervised by architect Tadao Ando, features exposed concrete walls and an open, light-filled space bathed in natural daylight. With architecture that blends old and new inside and out, you’ll feel as though you’re in a museum—then simply let yourself unwind and enjoy a restful stay with the comfort of living here like home.

Across the property, we offer 18 distinctive Rooms, including seven suites. In the existing building—formerly Nintendo’s head office—you can stay in Rooms that preserve the architectural style and interiors of the time, while the newly built wing (supervised by Tadao Ando) features simple, stylish Rooms designed for comfort. Each Room has a different layout, interior design, and furnishings, so you can enjoy new discoveries with every stay.

Start your day comfortably with a well-balanced breakfast. Enjoy a healthy buffet and made-to-order plates tailored to your preferences. Savor a graceful morning with warm, comforting dishes as sunlight streams through the windows.

Our lounge, designed as a second living room extending from your guestroom, is available 24 hours a day. Late at night, enjoy a light supper; at other times, we offer drinks including alcoholic beverages and light snacks. Savor tea time whenever you like, or unwind with a peaceful evening on your own—enjoy it however you wish.

The library “dNa” embodies Nintendo’s history and culture as interpreted by the founding Yamauchi family. Please enjoy it not only as a library, but also as a lounge. In this space, you can sense the depth of Nintendo’s history through its layered design, explore the origins of its creativity, and experience its culture through a spirit of playfulness.
