Since 1889, Nintendo has been making history. Its former headquarters—Nintendo’s birthplace—has been brought back to life here in Kyoto’s Kagiyamachi as Marufukuro. Preserving the charm and dignity of Nintendo’s early days, the [Existing Wing] lets you feel echoes of the past, while the [New Wing], design-supervised by architect Tadao Ando, features exposed concrete walls and an open, light-filled space bathed in natural daylight. With an exterior and interior that blend the best of old and new, you’ll feel inspired as if you were in a museum—then simply let yourself unwind and enjoy a restful stay with the comfort of living here like home.

Our lounge, designed as a second living room extending from your guestroom, is available 24 hours a day. In the evening, we offer late-night snacks, and at other times you can enjoy drinks—including alcoholic beverages—and light refreshments. Enjoy tea time whenever you like, or unwind with a peaceful moment alone at night—make yourself at home in whatever way suits you.

The library “dNa” embodies Nintendo’s history and culture as interpreted by the founding Yamauchi family. Please enjoy it not only as a library, but also as a lounge. With its sense of depth, the space lets you feel the richness of Nintendo’s history, explore the origins of its creativity, and experience its culture through a spirit of playfulness. A self-service bar is available inside the 2nd-floor library and may be used at any time during library hours. A carefully selected range of spirits—including gin and whisky—is provided, allowing you to enjoy original cocktails.
