A one-of-a-kind luxury stay shaped by nature
JIJIJIN Matsuyama is a small luxury auberge with 10 Rooms, nestled in a quiet forest in Tobe Town, Ehime Prefecture. With local-ingredient gastronomy and suites overlooking the water garden, we promise you time to restore both body and mind. What we offer is “a one-of-a-kind luxury stay created by nature.” The Tsuyadani Pond just in front of the Hotel has long been cherished by the people of Tobe Town. Here, we call this pond—also the symbol of our Hotel—a “water garden” that soothes our guests’ hearts. All-suite Rooms feature a terrace where you can take in the powerful views of the water garden. Its colors shift with the seasons and time of day—truly a painting woven by nature. We also pay deep respect to ingredients from the Seto Inland Sea and Ehime, offering truly unique cuisine rooted in this land—an experience that becomes your very reason for staying here. Savor exceptionally fresh fish sourced from local fishermen trusted by chefs across The whole country. Awaken your senses and feel quietly fulfilled. Spend such moments at JIJIJIN Matsuyama.
I stayed here on my first solo trip around Shikoku.I only knew Ehime for its citrus and sea bream rice, but the dishes made with local ingredients served here were unbelievably delicious. They also noted where each ingredient was sourced, which made me want to explore more of Ehime. The Room was amazing with a reservoir view—an incredibly luxurious space. It got plenty of sun and was already very hot even at 5 a.m., so I didn’t spend much time relaxing on the terrace, but walking around the reservoir was very pleasant. I’d love to visit again in a different season.
はなも 8/30/2026As the title suggests, the meals were truly impressive. They focused on local ingredients, and each dish was carefully prepared and absolutely delicious. The amenities were good, but it was inconvenient that the toilet was in the same space as the bath and washbasin. Also, I could hear footsteps from upstairs and the sound of doors opening and closing, which started to bother me and made it hard to sleep. It may have felt even louder because the surroundings are so quiet. The lake view was wonderful, and all of the staff were very kind—I’m truly grateful.
