    Back in Yokohama after 25 years

    My husband and I visited Yokohama for the first time in 25 years! It was our first visit since our honeymoon. The view from the hotel balcony was beautiful, with the Ferris wheel and the amusement park's neon lights! Relaxing on the balcony with my husband over a beer made for a wonderful memory! The bed was comfortable, the room was spacious, and we enjoyed a relaxing bath. It was fantastic. The limousine bus to Haneda Airport was very convenient for our return trip. The Yokohama Museum of Art was nearby, and we enjoyed visiting it too. We'd love to come back!

    Our top hotel recommendation in Yokohama

    I visit Yokohama often, and while I usually stay here with my husband, this time I stayed with my daughter. Thank you for upgrading our room. It was very clean and had everything we needed, so we enjoyed a comfortable stay. Breakfast at Café Tosca offered a wide selection, and as I was feeling a little tired, I especially appreciated the rice porridge and its many toppings. The hotel is very close to Minatomirai Station, making it a very convenient place to stay. There were many events in Yokohama that day, so the area was crowded and lively, but the moment we stepped into the hotel, it was so peaceful that the bustle outside seemed a world away. It is a wonderfully relaxing hotel.

    In response to inquiries and other requests

    When I emailed to ask about extending our checkout time, the staff responded very courteously, which put me at ease. My mother uses a wheelchair, so I asked for help with our luggage, and the staff assisted us right away. The staff member who carried our bags was also very friendly.

    A truly memorable and satisfying stay.

    Thank you so much for your hospitality. We were delighted to be given a room on the 22nd floor. My cousin, who was visiting from out of town, was absolutely thrilled by her first view of the giant Ferris wheel in Yokohama’s Minato Mirai, right before her eyes. Thank you! The location was incredibly convenient for sightseeing, with easy access to trains, taxis, and the Air Cabin cable car. We would love to stay again. Thank you for a truly unforgettable stay.

    It was forgotten.

    I booked a package with club lounge access to enjoy a little luxury for my birthday. The service in the lounge was excellent, but only basic cocktails were available during cocktail hour, and they could not even make a martini. The lounge was also small and nearly full, despite it being a weekday. Before heading to the lounge, I asked once again for the bed to be made. We stayed until just before the lounge closed at 9 p.m., but when we returned to our room, the bed had not been made and the towels had not been replaced. I called immediately and was told they had forgotten and would take care of it right away. By then, the lounge had closed, so we ended up going down to the lobby floor. The shops were closed too, leaving us with nowhere to browse. It was a truly frustrating experience.

    Disappointing.

    I chose this hotel for its convenient location. There were other hotels nearby, but I thought this would be better than a business hotel. In the end, a business hotel would have been the better choice. At the self-service check-in machine, no reservation appeared when I entered my name. The staff assumed I had entered it incorrectly and tried entering it themselves, but still no reservation appeared. It turned out that the hotel had registered my name incorrectly. That was not a pleasant start. The room was also terrible. I question how the hotel decided this room was suitable for guests. Honestly, if they were going to offer this room, they should have explained the issues—no view and mechanical noise—and offered some form of compensation, such as a partial refund. I could overlook the lack of a view, but the mechanical noise was unpleasant. The bathing facilities were also difficult for my elderly mother to use. Water leaked from the shower cubicle into the washbasin area, soaking the floor. This was supposed to be a special trip, but my mother said she wanted to go home early. Even though none of this was my fault, I felt terribly guilty.

    Club Floor

    We stayed on the Club Floor and it was very comfortable. The cakes and food were delicious, and the service was excellent. The Ferris wheel was right nearby from our room, and the night view was wonderful. It was my first time staying at a high-rise hotel where I could step out onto the balcony. We will stay again in March.

    A hotel I’d like to stay at again

    It was my first stay in a while. The Yokohama Museum of Art I’d been wanting to visit was nearby, and the night view from the room was beautiful, so I was very satisfied with my stay. In particular, I was impressed by how generous it is that even if you book through Ikkyu, you can still get late check-out until 12:00 by becoming a Tokyu Hotels member, and also by how reasonably priced the dinner buffet at the restaurant was. Dinner was at a price you wouldn’t expect for a hotel, yet the service was truly hotel-level, so I was very satisfied. I’d like to stay again and enjoy dinner as well. The only downside was that noise from the next room carried through, and although it wasn’t the hotel’s fault, motorcycle gangs kept circling around the hotel until 2:00 a.m., which made it noisy. Still, since I couldn’t sleep anyway, watching them from the balcony might end up being a good travel memory… The Ferris wheel night view and the sunrise over Bay Bridge were also beautiful—this is a hotel I’d like to stay at again.

    Ideal for visits to Pacifico Yokohama.

    Close to Pacifico Yokohama and also near the station, this long-established hotel still feels fresh and modern, and I was able to relax at ease. I would like to stay here again. The staff were very welcoming, with great smiles and service.

    Perfect for sightseeing in Yokohama.

    I stayed solo for a “hotelcation.” I usually stay at the two nearby InterContinental hotels in Yokohama, but this was my first time here. The biggest advantage is definitely the location—right above Minatomirai Station. It’s truly convenient. After arriving, I told the front desk I would be using the club lounge, and they smoothly guided me there. Since it was the middle day of a three-day weekend, I expected to wait for check-in, but I was shown in surprisingly quickly and with pleasant service. Everything felt polished and efficient. I chose a slightly larger room; it was very standard, but perfectly sufficient. I used the lounge for afternoon tea, cocktail hour, and breakfast. I wouldn’t call it luxurious, but I had no complaints—it’s about what you’d expect. For dinner, I chose Café Tosca’s buffet because I wanted something low-key without too much attention. This was also decent. The price isn’t shockingly high like some famous luxury hotel buffets, so in that sense they’re doing a good job. Overall, it wasn’t an “amazing” or memorable experience, but as a convenient base for sightseeing or a casual staycation-style trip, it meets expectations well. I’d consider staying again if I have another opportunity.

    Loved it so much we came back again!

    If you’re unsure, definitely stay on the Bay Club Floor! It’s all-inclusive, with unlimited sweets, light snacks, alcoholic drinks, and non-alcoholic cocktails. The view from the room is amazing, and since it’s in a prime Minato Mirai location, it’s easy to head out for meals or shopping. The first time we added an in-room birthday dinner and it felt wonderfully luxurious, but the second time we chose breakfast only. Since there are countless restaurants in the area, going out to eat is also a fun option. You can also use facilities like the night pool with a view of the Ferris wheel. Depending on the day, being able to stay here for around 20,000 yen per night is an incredible value. For breakfast, you can choose between the lounge and the restaurant. The restaurant has about 2–3 times more menu options, so I recommend that one! I’ll likely be back again. Thank you.

    Second Stay

    I visited in May for my second stay, and this time I added breakfast—something I was really looking forward to. It didn’t disappoint; everything was delicious. The live omelet station was especially great. The room size was just right, and above all, the view from the room was outstanding. Access is also very convenient, with direct connection to Minatomirai Station. Most of all, it warmed my heart that a staff member kindly carried my heavy luggage up to my room—reminding me how wonderful personal, hands-on service can be. In today’s service industry where human connections can feel less common, it was a truly comforting moment. Thank you very much.

    I think it’s the best in Japan.

    I’ve stayed at both brand-name hotels and traditional inns, but in terms of location, staff, and overall experience, I think this is the best. If you’re unsure and reading reviews, you can’t go wrong with this hotel.

    Exceptional hospitality

    Thank you very much for your hospitality. The staff’s polished service was outstanding, and the room felt extremely clean. The size, amenities, and in-room facilities were all very satisfying. In particular, the room with a balcony this time had a wonderful view and was perfect. The Bay Club Lounge is on a completely different level from lounges at other hotels, and we were able to spend an elegant, relaxing time there. The cocktails, mocktails, and food are always truly delicious and make us feel happy. We sincerely hope these wonderful services will continue unchanged in the future...     For the first time in 12 years...

    It’s been 24 years since I started an overnight stay in Yokohama with friends from my student days—what people now call a “hotel staycation.” Back then, the Minato Mirai area was mostly open fields. Now it has transformed into a glamorous, lively district lined with office buildings and high-rise apartments, and it excites me every time. In recent years I’ve stayed at newly opened hotels, but the view from Yokohama Bay Hotel Tokyu is still the best. This time, compared with before, I noticed a few points regarding the facilities: * The doors to both the room and the bathroom were heavy and difficult to open and close. * There were very few places to hang towels in the bathroom (only one). * The cabinet for glasses opens from top to bottom, so you can’t place anything in front of it; this made it inconvenient when trying to find space to boil water. One more question: This was the lowest floor I’ve ever been assigned. Even though my reservation wasn’t last-minute, do I need to specifically request a high floor when booking? That said, all of your staff provided wonderful service with warm smiles. Thank you very much.

    This is an excellent Hotel that will make you want to stay again.

    Before COVID, this was my favorite Hotel, and I always stayed here whenever I went to the Yokohama area. Since the pandemic, even when visiting Yokohama I started making day trips instead, so I hadn’t been back for a while. This time, I was able to attend an event in Yokohama with friends—one of whom had been asking me for a long time to take her to The Yokohama Bay Hotel Tokyu—so the three of us decided to stay overnight for the first time in years. The staff were very kind and pleasant, the food was excellent, and the location is extremely convenient for shopping and sightseeing. Above all, the attentive service left us feeling truly refreshed both physically and mentally. My friends who stayed with me also praised it highly and thanked me. We just set off on our way home after promising that we will stay here together again next time.

    Wonderful Club Lounge

    Both the Room and the Club Lounge offerings were of very high quality, making for a relaxing stay. As a tea lover, I was delighted that the Lounge tea was so delicious. Also, it was fun being able to order from a wide variety of cocktails at night and have them made for you. I’ve visited many Hotel lounges, but it’s rare to find one with such an extensive list. Since it was a city-side Room, I didn’t expect much of a view, but through the large windows I could also see Yokohama Port and enjoy a wonderful景色. Thank you for upgrading me to the top floor. The staff were kind, and it was a Plan where even solo travelers can stay with peace of mind. I’d love to stay again.

    A Friend’s Birthday

    Thank you for arranging a Room with a view of the Ferris wheel. I was able to sit on the balcony chairs with a friend I’ve shared half a century with and chat endlessly. The moon was beautiful, and it was a perfect night. We ordered a fruit and sliced cake set via room service; it was delicious and the portion was just right. The next day, we enjoyed Japanese cuisine at Taishima, and to our surprise they even served red-and-white namasu for my birthday. This is a Hotel where even those of us past 60 can relax and enjoy ourselves with peace of mind. I would love to visit again.

    Disappointed with the way Maison Kayser bread was served.

    I stayed on the Club Floor. Since a Room on the same floor as the Club Lounge was available, they kindly changed my Room, and I felt all the staff were very attentive and helpful. I also appreciated being able to choose breakfast either at the Club Lounge or at Cafe Tosca. One disappointment was the breakfast bread. I was looking forward to it because it was from Maison Kayser, but it seemed like some time had passed after baking, and I found it less tasty than freshly baked in-house bread at other hotels. With some adjustments to how it’s served, I think it could be offered closer to freshly baked quality. For reference, I tried reheating a croissant myself, but it didn’t regain that fresh-baked crispness.

    This was my first stay since the COVID-19 pandemic. Even as services have changed due to COVID, the variety of items in the breakfast lounge was excellent, and the omelet—which wasn’t previously available—was absolutely delicious. The staff’s hospitality was also wonderful. I will definitely visit again. Thank you very much.

    I was able to show my parents my appreciation.

    We stayed on the club floor with my parents and my brother and his wife. I made a Reservation for a triple Room for myself and my parents. My mother especially loved being able to enjoy the night view while taking a bath. Since we checked in as a group of five, there were no seats available at first, but they prepared one for us right away. We visited again later that evening, and they had kept the seating ready for five, expecting us to return. We truly appreciated the Hotel staff’s thoughtful hospitality. Breakfast was also excellent with a great variety, and even my picky father was able to eat until he was full. My mother said she would like to stay again next year as well, so we would love to return.

    Enjoy stunning views on clear days.

    Because I stayed on a rainy day, the night view was not very clear. The terrace was also unusable because rain blew in. However, it was helpful to be able to access the Accommodation from the station without getting wet. But by the next morning, once it got brighter, I was still able to enjoy the view. Seeing everything from the Ferris wheel to around Yamashita Park was reassuring. What disappointed me was that when I tried to boil water, the inside of the kettle felt quite damp, and I lost motivation to use it. I had been looking forward to my morning coffee. It may have been a busy holiday period for staff, but I think their checks were insufficient.

    We had a relaxing stay.

    We stayed with access to the club lounge. The view of the cruise ships from the lounge and the night scenery were wonderful, and we were truly impressed. We could also enjoy a beautiful night view from our Room, which made it feel like a special escape. We also visited the pool, making our stay even more fulfilling. We are grateful to the staff for their pleasant and attentive service. We would love to visit again. Thank you very much.

    Thank you again for accommodating my request. Your courteous service at check-in, as well as the friendliness of the other staff, made a wonderful impression. In the beautifully cleaned room, I enjoyed the night view and once again had a truly blissful time. I can’t wait to return soon. At check-in, I was told, “Please feel free to enjoy the drinks in the refrigerator,” but it was empty, so this Plan may not have included complimentary beverages.
