The staff’s warm, smiling service after check-in was the best compared to other Hotels. They also offered complimentary drinks, including alcohol, and pillow rentals, which helped me sleep soundly. I would like to stay again.

I stayed here twice this year, in September and October. The staff's hospitality always makes my stay pleasant. I will definitely visit again. Please take care as the weather gets colder. Thank you very much for everything this time!

Because they cannot accommodate a large number of guests, they provided attentive service to each party. There were also guests who came just for meals, so they were busy, but it never felt hectic—truly a wonderful Accommodation. Every dish was delicious, but the portions were more than someone in their 50s could finish, so we left some. It’s best to arrive hungry.

In a wonderful location along the Amorigawa River, a thatched-roof building stands quietly, and from the moment you arrive, it feels like you’ve stepped into another world. Being greeted by two chickens was also an unexpectedly charming sight. What stayed with me most was the hospitality of the staff. We enjoyed many dishes that made the most of local ingredients. It wasn’t just about being lavish—each course conveyed a heartfelt desire to delight those who made the journey here, and I truly felt that warmth. In the evening, we were able to enjoy fireworks by the irori hearth while sipping shochu. The care taken to create even these simple moments really showed how exceptional this Accommodation’s hospitality is. By chance, we also had an opportunity to hear directly from the owner about the early days after opening. Listening to how they overcame times that were far from smooth and built what Masyouen is today helped me understand why this place has been loved for so long. The private Onsen in our detached room was full of character as well, and soaking slowly in nature was something special. This is not an Accommodation that moves people with luxurious Facility alone; it’s a place where nature, architecture, cuisine, Onsen—and above all, human warmth—linger in your heart. There are many places I’d like to stay again, but this one made me feel like I wanted to come back home.

Last autumn, my wife (73) and I (75) both underwent surgery, and we were completely exhausted both physically and mentally. After the New Year, once things finally settled down, we planned an easy one-night trip nearby to relax. I always use IKYU to book travel, and after searching with various criteria, I found a reasonably priced Hotel with excellent Reviews. That was Hotel Green Core Bando, where we stayed this time. And the result... it truly was a wonderful Hotel just as the ratings suggested. The staff were very attentive, and the Room was impeccably clean. We stayed in a twin Room; it felt more spacious than expected, and the bathroom with a separate washing area was fantastic. Amenities are brought in by guests at check-in as needed, which I think is efficient and waste-free. And breakfast the next morning... simple but perfectly well-balanced selection—just as its reputation promised. I was surprised to see stewed offal on the breakfast menu, but it was outstanding. And of course—this is Ibaraki—natto was delicious too. It seems this Hotel does not serve dinner, but there are surprisingly many restaurants nearby; the izakaya we visited this time was excellent as well. Around the Hotel there are also many shops such as Japanese confectionery stores, pickle shops, and soba restaurants—and there’s even a supermarket right close by. The local people were down-to-earth and friendly, and without exception everything we ate was delicious. This time it was only one night, but there are many historical sights related to Taira no Masakado as well as numerous shrines—far too much to cover in just one night. Next time we would like to stay for two or three nights and enjoy traveling at a slower pace. Thank you very much for everything.

Both dinner and breakfast were very delicious, with just the right portions and well-timed service. We enjoyed a comfortable stay.

I stayed here to relax at an Onsen Accommodation. The homemade, heartfelt dishes were truly delicious. Dinner was great, but breakfast was especially memorable—the simmered royal fern, Tochio fried tofu and bamboo shoots, and simmered potatoes were outstanding. The potato salad was also excellent; the woman next to me had finished hers and asked for seconds, so I requested an extra serving as well. After bathing, I opened the Room window and enjoyed the pleasant night breeze from the satoyama countryside, soothed by a chorus of frogs. I was very satisfied!

I stayed around April for a live concert trip. The staff at the front desk were very pleasant and attentive, and the hospitality was excellent. They kindly agreed to store my luggage, which was a great help. I believe I chose the lowest-grade Room, but it was very spacious, spotless throughout, and comfortable. When I visit the Kansai area again, I would love to stay here again. Thank you for a wonderful experience.

This was our first time staying as a family of six. We stayed in the annex, and the building was clean and a great environment for families with children without worrying about noise. The bath was spacious, and we loved that it had free-flowing natural hot spring water. The Onsen pool was also large, and the kids really enjoyed it. The night pool had a magical atmosphere as well. It turned into a wonderful trip.

As it’s still fairly new, everything was very clean. The cleaning was thorough, and I had a very comfortable stay. There is no bathtub in the Room—only a shower—but there’s a built-in seat, which was convenient, and it was also nice that the toilet is separate. Much better than an awkward unit bath with a small tub. The air conditioner only has low and high fan settings, and even on low it was noisy, which bothered me. I parked at a multi-story parking garage about a 3-minute walk from the Hotel; it was incredibly cheap at 500 yen max for 24 hours. Considering some Hotels add an extra 1,000 yen for parking, I didn’t mind that there wasn’t on-site parking. I’d like to stay again.

Thank you again for taking care of us—three times in a row since last month (lol). Check-in is always very smooth, and I’m so happy the staff remembered us. The Room is always clean, comfortable, and spacious!! Not only the Room but also the location is great with easy access, so we enjoyed early summer to the fullest—going to Tatsuno’s Firefly Festival on the first night and Narai-juku on the second day! I’m a huge fan of Bluequadhotel and have been recommending it to my mom friends, but I’m also nervous that it’ll become too popular and we won’t be able to make a Reservation (lol). We’ve been staying every month, so it’s really disappointing that we can’t come in July!! Please take care of yourselves as well—I’m looking forward to chatting again.

Although it is an older building, it is well cared for and kept very clean. Thank you very much to the proprietress and all the staff. If checkout were at 11:00, we could have had a more relaxed morning... We would love to stay again.

A delicious seasonal full-course meal, even for solo travelers. A luxurious stay with only one group per day. And it’s reasonably priced. The Onsen was free-flowing and felt wonderful. An 11:00 AM checkout was also a welcome bonus. I regretted not booking a Multiple Night Stay. Thank you very much.

Thank you very much for taking such great care of us. Our once-a-year event was incredibly satisfying. From the complimentary early check-in due to our own circumstances and the welcome drink, to your polite, friendly explanations and the commemorative photo at check-out, and above all, the exceptionally clean room, Facilities, and abundant amenities— it was truly a reasonable-priced and outstanding Accommodation. It may have been the best we’ve ever stayed at. If you could consider installing a washlet toilet seat in the future, it would make this Accommodation even more amazing. Even without that, it was a perfect 5-star Review. It became a wonderful memory—we fully enjoyed our night in Fujisawa. We’d love to stay again in a year.

I stayed here last year and found it very comfortable, so I chose it again this year. It was an excellent stay. Last time, I wrote a Review saying there was “a little dirt in the corner of the bath,” but this time everything was thoroughly cleaned down to every detail, which truly impressed me. It’s within walking distance of Nagoya Station, and you can get close via the underground passageways. The service is attentive in just the right way—not overbearing. The Room is clean and comfortable. I have no complaints at all. I will stay here again when I visit Nagoya. Thank you very much.

I stayed in a garden-side suite with a friend to celebrate my birthday. From check-in, the staff welcomed us warmly, and they had champagne and flowers prepared in the Room, which truly moved me. We also received handwritten birthday cards from many staff members, and I am deeply grateful for their heartfelt hospitality. We relaxed in the club lounge and spa, then took an evening stroll through the illuminated gardens on our way to “Unakiku.” With the enchanting garden views and delicious meal, we were able to enjoy a truly luxurious time. The next morning, we could admire the beautiful Tokyo Sea of Clouds enveloping the gardens from our Room—it was such a wonderful view that made us forget we were in the city. Thanks to all the staff, I was able to spend an unforgettable birthday. I would love to visit again in a different season.

This is my favorite Hotel. This time, I visited with my grandchild for the first time, and we had a wonderful time. The meal at Cape Mondo was also very delicious. However, I was disappointed that the seahorses were gone. I would love to have seahorses kept there again so I can hold one. Whenever I went to the Seahorse restaurant, I always made sure to see them. Thank you in advance.

I stayed for one night with my mother during the Obon holidays.\n We had a twin Room with an ocean view, and from our 5th-floor Room we could see across Matsushima Bay—it was truly impressive.\n It happened to be the day of a fireworks display, and we were able to watch it from our Room.\n The Room was described as on the small side, but even with two adults and our suitcases opened, it wasn’t a problem at all.\n The Japanese/Western/Chinese buffet was excellent—the shrimp in the chili shrimp dish were large and springy. Sashimi, tempura, crab, desserts…everything was delicious.\n The ramen at the end was served in a coffee-cup-sized bowl, which made it an easy portion to enjoy.\n There was also a wide variety of desserts such as fruit and cakes.\n Breakfast also had plenty of options and tasted great; the seafood rice porridge in particular was hearty with lots of ingredients and very flavorful.\n I was surprised by how wonderfully thick and chewy the Zao yogurt was.\n The Hotel itself feels like an older building, but there are USB ports by the bed area, so I could tell they’ve been renovating thoughtfully in small ways.\n The bath facilities were also great—an open-air bath with a wonderful sense of openness overlooking Matsushima felt amazing.\n When sightseeing in Matsushima, being able to leave luggage at partner shops affiliated with the Hotel is also a very helpful service.\n This was my first time visiting Matsushima, and it became a wonderful memory including both the sightseeing spots and the Hotel.
