    Services

    The front desk staff were very friendly and accommodating. The location is close to the beach, and even after checking out, we were allowed to use the outdoor showers and changing rooms, which was perfect for beachgoers! The free coffee after a bath was delicious and refreshing. I would love to stay here again!

    Room with Open-Air Bath and Bed

    This was our second time staying in a room with an open-air bath, but this time the room was smaller and disappointing compared to last time. We asked over the phone if there was a pool, and were told "yes," but it turned out to be for children. Since we provided our name during the reservation, it should have been clear whether we had children or not—this seems like negligence. The bathroom mirror was dirty, making us feel as though someone had just used it, which ruined the experience. Dinner was not tasty at all; the sashimi was especially terrible. When I made the reservation, it mentioned something about "the best cuisine for your 70th anniversary," but if this is what they mean by that, I wonder how their regular meals are. Three years ago when we stayed here during COVID-19 times, dinner exceeded expectations and left us very satisfied. This time we were hoping for a similar experience but were deeply disappointed—the sashimi didn’t even seem fresh. Breakfast was a buffet with limited options; even worse, the rice wasn’t Japanese rice but imported rice instead. Overall expectations were high because of our previous visit’s positive experience—but this stay turned out to be terrible in every aspect. Every year my spouse and I travel nearby for an overnight stay; last year we stayed at Bay Koganoi where food wasn’t great either and overpriced wine without a sommelier’s recommendation left us unimpressed (we used to run a liquor store). We’re considering where to go next year—but most likely won’t return here again. For 70,000 yen for two people—it just wasn’t worth it!

    The only downside is the lack of an open-air bath.

    We stayed in a Japanese-style room with an open-air Onsen attached during a family trip. The staff were very considerate, even for families with babies, and we had a very pleasant stay. I made the Reservation through IKYU and mistakenly booked as one child instead of noting that our baby was 0 years old and free of charge. However, after consulting in advance, they kindly refunded the difference in cash on the day. The nearby Shirarahama Beach allows fireworks, and they provided bucket rentals and took care of trash disposal, which was incredibly helpful. The large public Onsen offered two types to enjoy and was very relaxing; it would have been even better if there were an open-air bath there too! This time we booked early for a great deal, but I hope to visit again next year to experience our baby's growth every year!

    Relax and unwind in our soothing open-air bath – we stayed as long as possible! (laughs)

    The room with an open-air bath featuring a flowing Onsen allowed us to relax and unwind completely. Even my husband, who usually only takes one bath at an Onsen accommodation, enjoyed it three times—it must have been that pleasant! I visited the large public bath once. While it wasn’t an open-air bath, I enjoyed the projection mapping there. On the second floor where the large public bath is located, there was a drink server offering cold tea after bathing, which was delightful. In addition to tea and water, coffee was also available. The second floor provided a relaxing space overall. Dinner was served in a private room where we could enjoy our meal leisurely—very satisfying! Although we couldn’t enjoy the view due to closing the curtains against the setting sun, we were able to fully appreciate it while soaking in our private room’s bath instead—so no problem at all! We stayed in our room for as long as possible from check-in until check-out without going anywhere else due to the heat outside and spent time just relaxing—it was perfect for us. The staff were generally friendly and attentive with their smiles, which added to our positive experience. We’ve stayed in Shirahama many times before but this time my husband absolutely loved it here! Even if Adventure World’s pandas are no longer around someday, we’d love to return again for another stay. Great value for money—thank you so much for your wonderful hospitality!

    To Adventure World

    I stayed at the accommodation to visit Adventure World. Located in Shirahama Onsen, which I have visited several times, this was one of the hotels I wanted to stay at. This time, it was a sudden trip to Adventure World, so I could only stay for one night, but I finally got to stay at Sanrakuso. Although the building shows its age, all rooms offer ocean views, and the scenery and onsen are outstanding. The staff members, including those at the front desk, were all very kind. This time it was without meals, but if I visit Shirahama again in the future, I'd love to enjoy a meal-inclusive plan and spend a relaxing time here.

    It was about a 10-mi...

    It was about a 10-minute taxi ride from Adventure World. We stayed in a room with a Mirabus, and the spacious interior and beautiful ocean view from the room were absolutely stunning. The staff welcomed us warmly, recommended great restaurants, and provided excellent service with kindness and attention to detail. We're glad we chose this hotel for our stay. Although I deducted one star due to the limited amenities and variety of baths in the large public bath area, we still thoroughly enjoyed our time here. If we have another chance to visit Shirahama, we would love to stay here again.

    The hotel staff were professional, and both the accommodation and meals were satisfying! With the sea right in front, it would have been better to dine here at night since the local restaurants in town were a bit underwhelming.

    We stayed as a famil...

    We stayed as a family of three. The layout of the room was very spacious and convenient. There was a white sandy beach right in front, and although it wasn't the season to swim in the sea, we were able to enjoy a resort-like atmosphere. The plan did not include dinner, but the hotel kindly recommended nearby restaurants. It was an affordable accommodation with excellent cost performance.

    A cozy Hotel.

    We stayed for two nights in a 10-tatami Japanese-style room with an open-air bath, as the larger rooms were fully booked. My husband, initially surprised by the single-room layout, ended up enjoying the simple and clean space. Beyond the glass doors of the onsen bath was a view of Shirahama's ocean. The sliding shoji doors separating the living area and bathroom added a touch of elegance. The room's facilities, including a high-quality restroom, were thoughtfully designed and provided a sense of comfort. Fresh flowers at the entrance to our room were soothing, and it was incredibly quiet without any noise disturbances. The middle-aged gentlemen at reception had warm personalities and recommended excellent nearby restaurants—both an izakaya and Chinese restaurant within walking distance—that we thoroughly enjoyed. The dining spot "Nagi" on the second floor was also delightful. For long trips, having laundry facilities available is very convenient. The only disappointment was breakfast; while service was attentive, we found its quality lacking compared to expectations—we would prefer quality over quantity. Overall, it’s an accommodation we’d love to visit again!

    Everything was excellent.

    Everything, including cleanliness, service, meals, and the Onsen, was excellent. The view from the Room was especially breathtaking. It was a bit disappointing that no one helped carry our luggage from the front desk to the Room. We look forward to staying here again next time.

    We stayed here for our wedding anniversary. Upon arrival at the Hotel, two staff members greeted us and helped with our luggage. The front desk staff were also friendly and approachable. The Room was a simple Japanese-style room on the top floor, which they kindly prepared for us. We even received a gift from them. The hospitality and service were excellent, which was inspiring as I also work in customer service. However, there were a couple of concerns: when we turned on the air conditioner (heating), there was an unpleasant smell for about 20 minutes (likely mold). Additionally, there were small brown stains on the white sheets of the comforter. The Onsen was very relaxing, and it was great that we could adjust the temperature ourselves. The view from the Onsen overlooking Shirahama was stunningly beautiful. Also, having a wide variety of amenities available was very helpful. Breakfast was so delicious that I ended up eating more than usual! Thank you for taking care of us during our stay!

    Not great...

    The Room was clean, spacious, and really nice, but at this price for this food? The sashimi wasn't fresh and the meat was tough and hard to chew... However, the broth-based dishes were delicious; the hot pot with red miso was tasty.

    The open-air bath was wonderful.

    It was my first time in Shirahama and also my first time staying in a room with an open-air bath, but the view that changed with time was truly amazing, and I lost count of how many times I soaked in the water. The welcoming, front desk service, meals, and other services were all pleasant, making it a property friendly to both families and seniors. The breakfast and dinner were just right in terms of taste and quantity; especially dinner was enjoyed leisurely in a private room with an ocean view. The option to choose colorful yukata robes or use bathrobes made for a clean and comfortable stay; however, since I took so many baths, it would be nice if there were lotion available by the bottle. It was such a wonderful experience that I'd like to introduce it to family and friends, visit again during another season, stay in different rooms.

    Good points - The location is GOOD (You can see the illumination of Shirarahama from the Room.) - Dinner had a large volume. - The air conditioning was turned on before arrival, so the Room was warm. Bad points - There is no open-air bath. - There are few varieties in breakfast (buffet).

    We stayed with our 11-month-old grandchild and three adults, and the staff's attentiveness was excellent. We traveled by car, and from the welcome to their attention to our grandchild, we were very satisfied. Next time in Shirahama, we all agree that we'll make a Reservation at this Hotel.

    It was a very nice Hotel. The food was delicious, the view from the Room's open-air bath was wonderful, and above all, the response of the Hotel staff was excellent, making it No. 1 among the Hotels I have stayed at so far. I would like to stay again.

    Affordable and Satisfying

    The meals were very satisfying, and each dish was incredibly delicious. The white sandy beach stretched out before us. It was spotless and very beautiful. This Hotel is a place where families and friends can fully enjoy their time. I would love to visit again.

    Trio Travel

    We visited Sanrakuso for a New Year's trip with three friends. The property is in a very convenient location, and you enter through an entrance with a sulfur smell. At the front desk, we were told, "We've upgraded you to a room with a sea-view mirror bath," which made us feel very fortunate and excited. We explored the property until dinner. The panda train seat would surely delight my grandchild, and the kids' room, with its glass walls, had a sense of openness and was well-designed. I thought, "I'd like to come with my grandchild next time." Dinner was a grand kaiseki meal. There was also a buffet with chirashi sushi, ramen, and salad, which we couldn't finish. The seasoning was to my liking, which made me happy. After the meal, we leisurely reminisced at the free drink corner. The large public bath had few guests that day, and we enjoyed the already spacious bath even more with just the three of us. The mildly alkaline onsen, with its gentle water, is the best onsen in Shirahama. For breakfast, we made a seafood bowl and enjoyed it thoroughly. All the staff were smiling and provided kind service, making it a hotel I would like to visit again. And above all, it was an incredibly affordable stay!

    Warmth

    Thank you for welcoming and seeing us off in the cold. The Room was clean, and the view of Shirahama from the window was nice. Despite the staff shortage, all the employees were attentive and it was appreciated.

    I decided based on the reviews.

    The staff at the Hotel were all very kind, the Room was clean, and the bed was comfortable. It was very convenient for sightseeing. The Onsen and the Room's bath were both great. The Room's hairdryer was a Refa, so after shampooing at the Onsen, I dried my hair in the Room, and it didn't dry out, which was fantastic! The Room's bath gave a bit of an open-air bath feeling, which was pleasant. There were Reviews mentioning that the dinner was almost the same for two days, but there was a wide variety, so my picky husband could eat to his heart's content, which was great. There were plenty of whole mandarins for dessert, and I thought, "As expected of Wakayama," and the next day, I was surprised to find many mandarins offered as a service alongside New Year's sake barrels in the lobby. Wakayama mandarins are sweet and very delicious. Since we had mentioned it was a trip to celebrate a 60th birthday, we were delighted to receive a small gift. It was our first time in Wakayama and seeing pandas, but we were blessed with good weather, making it a very enjoyable trip. Thank you very much.

    Second visit

    The first stay was very good, so it was our second visit. We stayed in November 2024 and January 2025, but the room was the same special room, Fuji no Aki. It was a bit disappointing to have the same room in such a short period. We would have liked to have been given another special room. The room is a good room. The meals were also good in volume and quality, and the sashimi was very delicious. The staff are all kind and always serve with a smile. We plan to go every New Year as a couple, so please change the room each time. Everything else was wonderful.

    Shirahama Trip

    I stayed for one night with her. It was a stay with an open-air bath and breakfast plan. Upon arrival, we were greeted at the entrance, which made us feel very good! The room was more than spacious enough for two people, and the view from the bath overlooking Shirarahama was wonderful. I definitely felt like I would want to use it again when I visit!

    The staff at the Hotel are all nice people.

    It was about 28,000 yen with dinner and breakfast included. The room was on the 4th floor and had been renovated. When we arrived at the entrance by car, the staff's response was very good. The front desk staff and the person who carried our luggage were equally good. The room was a tatami room. There was a relatively large refrigerator that cooled well. Being on the 4th floor, the view was not great. The large public bath has a changing room on the 2nd floor, and you go down the stairs to the 1st floor to reach the bath. There is no sauna or open-air bath. The shower is the type that stops after a certain time when you push the lever down, which was inconvenient. The hot water had an onsen-like quality, which was nice. Dinner was at the restaurant on the 5th floor. It wasn't extravagant, but it was delicious and satisfying. Particularly, the service by a Chinese man wearing glasses and a rare wristwatch, which might be called a smartwatch, was excellent, even better than Japanese service. The woman wearing a trainee name tag during breakfast also provided very good service. Overall, everyone was nice, and I was very satisfied. I travel for work about 100 days a year, staying at properties across the whole country, but the staff here were so good that I would want to stay again, truly a rare find, perhaps meeting such good staff only once a year. Breakfast didn't have an overwhelming variety, but there were two types of bread, and everything was delicious and very good. Especially the fish grilled slightly on the stove with mirin-boshi was delicious. Both at night and in the morning, there were cherry tomatoes available, which was also nice. Checkout was at 10 AM, and the morning was hectic. I thought it would be nice if it were at 11 AM so we could take our time. There seemed to be many types of rooms, and I felt it was a highly recommended hotel if you choose a room according to your budget. Thank you for this time.

    One-night trip with a baby

    It was a trip with my husband, daughter, and our 5-month-old baby. First, we were very grateful for the room being well-equipped with a baby bottle washing set, baby bath, Bumbo, kettle, and more. We could also enjoy the view of the coastal illuminations from the room, which gave our daughter a moment of respite, and we were soothed by the Onsen. We are very thankful to the front desk staff for helping us with various inquiries, including emergency hospitals. We were able to take many photos in the seats of the Panda Train, and everyone was smiling. It became a good memory and was truly enjoyable.
