    I had a relaxing time.

    The room was comfortable, clean, and pleasant, but I noticed some wallpaper peeling off and discoloration in certain areas. The staff at the check-in counter and the restaurant were very friendly and attentive. The buffet-style meals offered a variety of options to enjoy, but I found the coffee at the drink bar too weak. The café au lait tasted more like milk than coffee, which was disappointing. The café mocha was overly sweet with a strong cocoa flavor that overshadowed the coffee taste. It would have been nice to have omelets for breakfast as well as fresh juice options. As for the onsen, I preferred the one inside the hotel since "Yunosato" had slightly cooler water temperatures. It would be great if makeup cotton pads could be included in the room amenities. Overall, it was a very relaxing and peaceful stay at this wonderful accommodation!

    Rooms with Open-Air Baths for Your Satisfaction!

    The room with a private open-air Onsen was highly satisfying. The private Onsen in the room was clean and comfortable to use, offering great views and excellent functionality, with authentic Onsen water. The availability of ReFa hair dryers, hair irons, shower heads, and shampoo treatments in the room was delightful; I liked them so much that I’m considering purchasing them. Meals were selected as private dining for both dinner and breakfast instead of a buffet. The spacious dining area allowed for a relaxed meal experience, which was very satisfying. The meals offered a wide variety to enjoy; however, the taste of some desserts after meals could be improved slightly. Breakfast had good balance and portion size! The large public bath was impressive with its spaciousness and sense of openness! Walking around the facility felt relaxing everywhere. Everyone loved the guest rooms so much that we all want to visit again. As for areas of improvement: the path to "Yunosato" day-use Onsen felt outdated along with its changing rooms and those in the large public bath area—perhaps also consider updating areas like the lobby lounge or souvenir shop? Making these spaces more stylish could modernize this accommodation further. Additionally, it was disappointing to see what appeared to be mold on the light blue cover under the water server in the large public bath area. We used a shuttle bus on arrival but paid 200 yen for an area bus on departure; considering how far it is from the station, having free shuttle buses both ways would enhance guest satisfaction even more!

    Another highly satisfying 2-night stay!

    In April, we stayed for two nights with my husband and daughter. The "Miyabi" room was more spacious than last time, and both the futon and pillows were fluffy, which made my daughter very happy. Each of us enjoyed the hotel in our own way—while I stayed exclusively in the private open-air bath in our room, my husband and daughter, who love saunas, visited Yunonosato and the large public bath. They didn’t return to the room for about two and a half hours. Although there were many families with small children at mealtime, the buffet venue was spacious enough that it didn’t bother us at all. Even though it seemed fully booked during our stay, it was quiet without any noise disturbances, allowing us to relax peacefully. Initially, there weren’t any available rooms for two nights in a row, so we considered booking another accommodation in Hakone instead. However, my husband insisted on staying only at Hotel Okada. We kept checking daily for cancellations until an opening appeared in May—it was worth waiting until the last minute! The rice crackers and chocolate snacks provided in the room were delicious; we even bought some of those chocolates from the gift shop to take home. The shop offers a wide variety of sweets that make great souvenirs!

    I was a bit disappointed.

    I arrived by car, but despite informing the accommodation of my stay, I was directed to a parking lot on the rooftop of the building. To my surprise, I had to carry my suitcase up an outdoor staircase without any assistance. When I expressed my frustration to another staff member later, they finally guided me to the hotel's main entrance. This initial experience left me feeling quite disappointed. There seemed to be no concept of room service; no one came to prepare tea or check the size of the provided yukata after arriving in the room. Unfortunately, the yukata available in the room did not fit properly. The buffet meal at the restaurant was delicious and enjoyable. The room itself was spacious and comfortable, though I felt that the bath facilities were outdated. I will not be returning for another stay—my apologies.

    A Hotel You Want to Visit Again

    The staff's smiles were wonderful, it was great to enjoy two Onsen facilities, and the buffet meals were satisfying. I would love to visit again if I have the chance.

    This is my second stay. The Room was excellent, and I am very satisfied! I would love to visit again. The meal in the private dining room was very delicious, but next time I would like to try the buffet as well.

    With Friends

    I stayed twice in April. The hot spring at Yunosato was so relaxing that I could stay for hours and still feel great. The buffet offered a wide variety of dishes, so even with a Multiple Night Stay, I never got bored. The live tempura and sushi were especially delicious. I would love to visit again with friends in May.

    There were a few disappointing aspects.

    The Onsen was excellent. However, the buffet did not feel very delicious considering the reasonable price. The Room was a bit disappointing as it looked faded compared to the photos, and having tea in teabags was unfortunate. I feel that raising the price slightly to improve the interior might attract more guests in the future. The Onsen itself is wonderful! In the private Room with an Onsen, there were about 5-6 mosquitoes, which was a bit troublesome. This is just my personal opinion, but I hope these points can be reviewed.

    Miyabi Room

    I stayed at the accommodation again this year. I was thrilled to stay in the "Miyabi" room, which I had wanted to experience for a long time. The amenities were top-notch, and I was surprised to find ReFa shampoo and treatment available. The open-air bath in the room was so spacious and relaxing that it felt almost too luxurious for just one person. Since it’s a new room, everything was clean, and I had a very satisfying stay. Dinner was my first buffet experience here, and there were plenty of delicious options. My husband especially enjoyed creating his own hot pot dish according to his preferences. As for me, perhaps due to my age, my appetite has decreased recently; with individual Japanese meals served in private rooms, I often end up leaving food behind. So moving forward, buffets where I can eat just the right amount might be better for me. I also received an aromatherapy massage this time—90 minutes of pure relaxation. I’m planning another visit in May!

    Meals, bath, and room!

    Stayed for one night and two days. I was able to enjoy all the baths. Though odorless, my skin felt smooth! The breakfast and dinner were buffet-style, with a wide variety of dishes, all of which were delicious. I think this hotel is enjoyable even for families with small children. The room was very clean as well. This time I stayed with my mother and sister, but next time I would like to stay with my whole family.

    I suddenly felt like enjoying an Onsen, so...

    We spontaneously decided to enjoy an onsen and stayed in a room with an open-air bath as a couple. Although we have stayed in Hakone many times before, it was our first time in Yumoto, and we were surprised to discover so many large hotels in Oku-Yumoto. This hotel is impeccably clean, and the hospitality truly shines through—it’s a wonderful accommodation. The quality of the onsen water was perfect for me, leaving my skin smooth and making me very satisfied. We traveled by car but didn’t get caught up in the traffic near Yumoto Station—this was another great point! We would love to stay here again.

    It was excellent!

    Excellent service, clean facilities, and delicious meals (especially the evening kaiseki!)—everything was absolutely satisfying. I stayed on the renovated 12th-floor, and above all, the room was exceptional. The room was fully equipped with Refa shampoo, conditioner, body soap, hair dryer, curling iron, and straightener—everything you could need for a perfect stay. Highly recommended for special occasions or important anniversaries! I will definitely visit again!

    Satisfied with the Onsen, but the noise is noticeable.

    I used the shuttle bus from Hakone-Yumoto Station. If change is needed, you receive a ticket and can collect it at the front desk of each hotel. The driver on the way was very polite, and his announcements were precise. Although it was crowded and I had to stand, the ride was smooth. From arrival at the hotel to check-in, staff were present in various areas, making everything smooth. A tablet was provided for input while seated before proceeding to the front desk, allowing for a calm check-in process. The facility is somewhat old with turn-key locks—surprisingly refreshing in its own way. The restroom door is a sliding type. A family group spanning three generations seemed to be staying on the same floor; conversations in hallways or near doors could be heard clearly at night. The heavy doors made noise when closed abruptly, and even pulling open restroom sliding doors echoed during quiet early morning hours. The hotel's onsen was very spacious and comfortable. There are also many day-use bathing facilities accessible with a short walk from the 8th floor—highly enjoyable. The buffet had smooth restocking timing with plenty of variety and delicious options. At the sushi station, it tended to get crowded; perhaps increasing staff or using larger serving trays might help improve this area. While there are minor concerns, overall satisfaction considering price balance makes me want to use this accommodation again if given another opportunity!

    We visited as a fami...

    We visited as a family with two working adults, a university student, and a high school student. The spacious Room provided allowed us to relax comfortably. Both the open-air bath and the large public bath felt like private use, being very clean and comfortable. We would love to visit again!

    Overall rating: 3 stars. We stayed in a Japanese-Western style room, but it felt slightly hastily constructed, possibly to accommodate international guests. The bath was spacious, and including the day-use Onsen facility, there were various options to enjoy and relax. However, as we were accompanied by elderly guests, they found it challenging to use the stairs at the 8th-floor large public bath. Having an escalator or similar Facility would make it more comfortable for everyone. Thank you for your hospitality.

    Looking forward to the facility renovation.

    The meals were very delicious. However, the air conditioner in the room had a strong unpleasant smell when turned on. Additionally, the room still uses a manual key system (insert and turn type), which has not been updated for seven years. I would appreciate it if the facility could be renovated in this regard. The shuttle service from the hotel to the station costs 200 yen, which is disappointing as it is not free. Moreover, guests are required to prepare exact change in advance, and some mistakenly inserted 500 yen into the bus machine. The bus driver seemed upset about this situation. It feels inconvenient that transportation IC cards are not accepted and there’s no option for change inside the bus—it almost seems like an intentional hassle! I suggest providing more dedicated hotel buses or implementing measures such as collecting bus fees during hotel check-out to improve convenience; otherwise, guests might start choosing other hotels instead.

    Even at the last minute

    I made a sudden decision to go on this trip, but I was able to book a Room with a private bath. The shower and shampoo provided were from ReFa, which was excellent. The bath in the Room stayed warm all the time, allowing me to use it whenever I wanted. There was also a chair available, making it possible to enjoy it as a footbath as well. Although the Room was far from the elevator, it was such an excellent Room that I didn’t mind at all. The meals were served buffet-style; however, the one-hour time limit felt slightly short. It would have been nice if it were extended to an hour and a half. Overall though, I had a very satisfying trip! Thank you!

    Hakone Trip

    We had a wonderful stay. The bath, the room, and the breakfast were all excellent. It was a trip for my son's birthday, and we truly appreciated the thoughtful gesture of a birthday card and souvenirs. We would love to stay here again!

    Dining Area

    If there are room ranks in the accommodation, we request that dining times be pre-determined, and seating arrangements for higher-ranked rooms be in quieter and better locations. Example: For guests requesting dinner at 6 PM, we hope seating arrangements can be decided in advance with slight ranking considerations. Staff guidance can be discontinued. As for the menu, how about offering unlimited beer while other drinks remain chargeable?

    Satisfied with the Room with an Open-Air Bath

    The staff at the reception provided excellent service, and I was very satisfied with the amenities in the Room and Facility. They answered all my questions about sightseeing with great care, for which I am grateful. However, it was disappointing that the outdoor bath in the large public bath felt too exposed. There were no trees or coverings to provide privacy, and it seemed possible to be seen from nearby Hotels or other locations. This made me feel uneasy, and I couldn't stay long. I believe measures such as adding enclosures are necessary.

    Meals

    The variety of food was great. However, during the Reservation, it could only be booked with a 1-hour time limit, which made me feel pressured to eat quickly and I couldn't fully enjoy the meal. Since I was seated at 35 minutes past the hour, this feeling was even stronger. I came here to stay and enjoy meals as part of the experience. I felt that a time-limited system does not suit an Onsen environment. Wouldn't most people finish eating within an hour naturally? I didn't come for an all-you-can-eat buffet but rather to relax in the Onsen and enjoy delicious meals as part of my stay. That aspect was disappointing. The Room was spacious and comfortable.

    We enjoyed the meal.

    Both dinner and breakfast were visually stunning and incredibly delicious. The portions were quite generous, but I finished everything. The amenities were well-equipped, and I truly felt the hospitality.

    A property that can satisfy guests of all ages.

    We stay here every year with three generations. Our annual trip consists of 10 people, ranging from ages 3 to 72. The Ryokan is equipped with baby baths and baby chairs in the large public bath, making it accommodating for families with children! The baths at Yunosato offer a variety of options that satisfy both children and adults! We enjoyed the buffet meals, allowing everyone to eat what they like, which was also satisfying!! Some say Yunosato is a bit far, but we enjoy it every year as an adventure with the kids. We want to visit again next year.

    I want to stay again! Such a wonderful Stays

    The quality of the spring on the 8th floor was smooth compared to nearby Onsen, with no chlorine smell, and it was wonderful. I had high expectations for the dinner buffet, but it exceeded them. The variety was unbelievably vast, and each dish seemed uncompromising in its use of ingredients and cooking methods that brought out their natural flavors. I was particularly surprised by the deliciousness of the sashimi and crab on the second day. I didn't expect seafood in Hakone, so it was a truly delightful surprise. The entrance's atmosphere wasn't overly extravagant; instead, it exuded a refined sense of hospitality that made me feel at ease as soon as I arrived. The koi in the garden were also kept lively in a clean environment, which left a good impression. I visited without knowing about the footbath with a view, so discovering it added to my wonderful experience. Every time I headed to Onsen, even if I didn't soak my feet, there was space for strolling where I could enjoy breathtaking views each time. During the day, the scenery was magnificent; at night too, with indirect lighting highlighting steam rising from cypress footbaths creating an amazing scene. The front desk staff were always smiling and kind beyond expectation; they provided reassurance by responding with smiles whenever approached making my stay very comfortable. Visiting as part of a large group mostly consisting children often wears me out wherever we go but here felt truly calming like being at home allowing us freedom while offering help naturally when needed just by making eye contact providing genuine family-like comfort. Perhaps due to visiting during busy weekend times or because parking lot seemed overfull? When trying once leave car evening found surrounded other vehicles unable exit until consulting front desk who moved them though despite sitting waiting right outside wasn’t informed anything requiring checking myself confirming previous vehicle moved before finally exiting lot—communication may have been hindered possibly due language barrier causing slight tension around parking (whether able park initially or later retrieve car freely).

    The children were well taken care of.

    Our six high school sons were taken care of. They were very satisfied with the Room and enjoyed playing table tennis. We are grateful for providing a cooling gel sheet to the child who had a fever. Thank you for welcoming us warmly.
