    Completely satisfied with everything!

    First, I was soothed by the staff’s pleasant and attentive service. The food was delicious no matter what I tried, and the lobby drinks offered a wide selection of alcoholic beverages. With the Onsen bath and two types of saunas, my fatigue melted away, and I was able to spend a relaxing, comfortable time. This is a Hotel I would love to stay at again.

    Our whole family had a wonderful time. The Facility was also very good. We had dinner at the restaurant inside, and it was delicious. The Onsen was comfortable as well. The lounge felt much smaller than it looked in the photos on the website. Since my wife walks with a cane, we were able to park on the premises, which was helpful, but I think the second parking lot would be inconvenient. We would like to stay again.

    It was absolutely wonderful.

    I’ve stayed at many Onsen Accommodations and Hotels in tourist destinations, and I’ve come to feel that while luxury Ryokans rarely disappoint, even luxury Hotels sometimes do. However, this place didn’t just meet expectations—it far exceeded them. Above all, I was truly impressed by the attentive service from the staff and their consistently guest-focused hospitality. Needless to say, the Facility, the meals, and the cleanliness of the Room were all excellent. The only reason I rated the baths slightly lower was because there was no open-air bath. Also, if the loungewear had pockets, it would be much more convenient and even better. I will definitely return.

    A Wonderful Karuizawa Stay That Satisfies Every Need

    It was a wonderful Hotel, and we were very satisfied with our stay. The Room was spacious and very clean. The Facility was well equipped, and we were able to relax in comfort. The soundproofing was also excellent, so we could enjoy a quiet stay without being bothered by noise from outside. Every Italian dish at dinner was delicious, and breakfast was also very good. The large public bath was clean and pleasant, and we used it many times during our stay. It is close to the Old Karuizawa area, making it a convenient location for sightseeing, dining, and shopping. We enjoyed both our time at the Hotel and exploring Karuizawa. Overall, everything felt very well done—this is a Hotel that made us want to stay again. For us, it was an almost perfect stay. The only thing that stood out was the parking. Since we used the second parking lot, getting back and forth to the Hotel felt a bit inconvenient. Other than that, there were no complaints at all, and we would definitely like to stay again.

    We had a wonderful time with our family.

    We stayed for two nights with breakfast and dinner included. The second day’s menu was completely different from the first, and everything was excellent and delicious. We also appreciated being able to borrow beauty devices free of charge and try various options. Our family of four, usually busy with work and school, was able to enjoy an elegant and relaxing time on our first trip to Karuizawa in a while. We would recommend this place to friends—thank you very much.

    Overall, it was really great!

    It was almost exactly as the Reviews said, and it was really great. We stayed with our older elementary school-aged child and my parents (in their 70s), and it was a Hotel that satisfied everyone, young and old alike. As others mentioned, it would have been even better if there had been leave-in treatment in the Onsen changing room. There wasn’t any beer in the lounge, but we added an all-inclusive option for dinner, which made it feel special—and we enjoyed some delicious drinks. Having towels stocked in the bath area was also convenient, since we didn’t have to bring them from the Room. And it would have been perfect if there had been an open-air bath (the bath felt a little like a large public bathhouse and somewhat plain...). The loungewear was a two-piece set rather than a yukata, so it didn’t come undone, which was nice. The food was absolutely delicious and the service was excellent—we were completely satisfied! We’ll definitely come again!

    Enjoy Hotel Life

    It was a new Hotel and even nicer than the photos. The location in Old Karuizawa was convenient, and the Hotel also had a large public bath, so we were able to relax and enjoy our stay. There was a lounge available until 10:30 p.m., with a great selection of drinks, and they also offered ice cream, which was wonderful. If we have the chance, we would definitely like to stay again.

    I felt refreshed!

    This was my first stay. Both the Room and the lobby were clean and comfortable. The dinner course had well-crafted flavors and was very delicious. The service was excellent, and I was very satisfied. I would like to stay again. Thank you very much.

    I couldn’t sleep at all because of the noise.

    The bathroom was on the other side of the wall by my pillow. At night, while I was sleeping, a loud noise started from some kind of machine near my pillow and woke me up. When I checked the bathroom, it seemed like some machine under the sink was running. About once an hour, it would run for several minutes, and the noise came through right by my pillow... I couldn’t sleep at all. For an Accommodation at this price point, it felt far too poor. I went there to relax, so I was very disappointed. It may depend on the Room, and perhaps I just happened to get a bad one, but even so it was unacceptable.

    A high-quality Hotel for a relaxing stay in Old Karuizawa

    The interior is new and sophisticated, and I was able to relax in a calm atmosphere. The overall design and Facility also feel luxurious, making it a Hotel well suited for a stay in Old Karuizawa. The staff provided courteous service with thoughtful attention to detail. The guest room was spacious and comfortable, though I felt the amenities could be improved a bit further, so I rated the room 4 out of 5. This time I did not have dinner and only enjoyed breakfast. Breakfast was excellent in quality, variety, and presentation, making for a pleasant start to the day. Service, Facility, and breakfast were all highly satisfying—overall it was a wonderful stay. This is a Hotel I would like to stay at again when visiting Karuizawa.

    That extra touch makes all the difference in your satisfaction!

    Because it was a reasonably priced early-booking Plan, I was able to enjoy a summer getaway with friends. Many of the staff are international and they work hard with smiles and Japanese, but the service felt more overseas-style, and small issues lowered my satisfaction—such as the refrigerator not being cold, steps in the lobby remaining even though the Room is barrier-free, and limited bathing hours despite it being an Onsen. The meals were enjoyable even during a Multiple Night Stay, and I was very satisfied with them.

    The parking policy was a major drawback.

    It was conveniently close to Old Karuizawa Ginza Street, but the parking policy was a major drawback. There is parking on the premises, but we were told it is for owners only. The second parking lot is quite far from the Hotel, so you have to follow a guide car there, park, and then ride back in the guide car. As a result, loading/unloading luggage and going out by car was somewhat inconvenient and time-consuming. I felt that an “owners first” policy like this leaves room for improvement for a customer-first Hotel business. Also, if that arrangement is unavoidable, I would appreciate it if the staff could be more proactive in helping with luggage. On the other hand, thank you to the restaurant staff for their polite and kind service. The Room was spacious and clean, and very comfortable. The food was delicious. In particular, the breakfast buffet had a wide variety of items and was well balanced nutritionally. The lobby, lounge, and large public bath were all crowded, so we couldn’t relax and enjoy them fully. Overall, I don’t think this Hotel offers strong value for money. Especially if you are arriving by car, it’s worth thinking twice about staying here. We have stayed at another Fufu Hotel before, so we were surprised to learn that this one is also operated by Fufu.

    A very comfortable Hotel

    I was able to relax and enjoy a Multiple Night Stay at the Hotel I had been looking forward to since last year. From check-in to check-out, all the staff provided attentive service, and the housekeeping team greeted us with wonderful smiles as well. The Room, lounge, bath, and restaurant were all excellent. One request: it would be convenient if the in-house loungewear had pockets, so we could carry the room key when moving to the lounge or bath. They also handled a drainage issue promptly, and we enjoyed trying various loaner amenities. As an elderly couple, using the tablet was also a good experience. Karuizawa was wonderful.

    It was excellent at the new Hotel.

    It was a very satisfying stay at this new Hotel that has been open for less than a year. It faces Kyu-Karuizawa Ginza Street, making it very convenient, and the Italian food at the restaurant was delicious. I would like to stay here again.

    It was a very comfortable stay, but…

    We booked a two-night stay because the Hotel is new and has excellent Reviews. The Room, lobby, and large public bath were all spotless, and our children were delighted. The in-room facilities and amenities felt luxurious, and even the slippers were exceptionally comfortable. Every staff member was attentive with a warm smile, making it a very pleasant Multiple Night Stay. The only disappointment was dinner on the second night. We chose a plan with dinner and breakfast for both days; the first night’s meal was elaborate and truly delicious. On the second night, ingredients we had already said we could not eat were served several times (the pasta was changed), and one item on the kids’ plate for ages 3–5 was slightly spicy even for adults and seemed like leftovers—clearly not made for children. Are there few guests staying with dinner included both nights, or is information not handed over? Everything else had been so positive that this was extremely disappointing.

    A wonderful Hotel. On the day I returned home, I made my next Reservation!

    We stayed in the Junior Corner Suite (86 m²) as a family of four. Even with four beds, it didn’t feel cramped at all, and we were able to relax comfortably. As the Hotel is new, it was clean and had a refined atmosphere. If I had to mention a few minor disappointments: we initially received only two Room key cards, which made getting around the building inconvenient (they issued extra keys when we asked), the breakfast pizza wasn’t very good, and we couldn’t borrow a Reprolizer. Still, overall we were extremely satisfied! We used to go to Kusatsu every year at year-end, but this winter we switched to here. On the day we got home, we made a Reservation for year-end! We’re looking forward to our next stay.

    We had a relaxing stay.

    I booked this early to attend an annual event. The Hotel was very close to the venue, so I could enjoy breakfast at a relaxed pace, and even return to my Room during the event to shower, change clothes, and rest. The Room was spacious and comfortable even with lots of luggage. The closet had plenty of hangers, and the entryway was wide enough to leave several pairs of shoes. I couldn’t drink alcohol, but the lounge offered sparkling water, and I enjoyed it in my Room with ginger or cola syrup for variety. Breakfast was great—especially the hot soup. On the third day, I asked for my main dish to be served later because I wanted hot corn soup first, and when the main arrived too quickly it would get cold after eating salad. One minor concern is that the bathroom and changing area feel small compared with the number of Rooms, so it can get quite cramped depending on the time. Other than that, everyone on staff was kind and helpful—it’s a wonderful Hotel with a very high level of satisfaction. I’d love to stay here again for next year’s event. Thank you very much as well for your thoughtful help with my final breakfast. Perhaps because it was a Multiple Night Stay, they also secured parking for me, which was very helpful. Overall, it was a truly comfortable stay.

    A sophisticated, modern Hotel

    A very new, sophisticated, stylish Hotel. For better or worse, it feels very modern. It will likely be more than enough for younger guests. Those used to staying at places like Hilton or Prince in Karuizawa may find the service a bit lacking. The young staff are working hard and leave a good impression, but the service is not yet consistently at a full Hotel standard. The meals were generous and strongly seasoned, so we couldn’t even make it to the main course, which felt wasteful. I’d like to see smaller portions with improved quality. The guest room was clean, refined, and excellent. The Onsen was also clean and nice. It was also disappointing that during breakfast a child from another table came over and made a lot of noise next to us, and it was left unaddressed. We came to enjoy a pleasant atmosphere. Since this is still just getting started, I’m hopeful for improvements going forward.

    It would be even more convenient if the in-house loungewear had pockets.

    Being able to spend time in the in-house loungewear was very relaxing and wonderful. However, a card key was required when using the elevator and when entering the Onsen building. I kept thinking it would be so convenient if there were an easy-to-reach pocket to take it out quickly. Some places provide a small shoulder pouch, but a pocket would probably be faster and more convenient. I’d be happy if this is improved by the time I visit again! The Room was spacious, the bed was large, and having both a rocking chair and a reclining chair made it very comfortable. The vanity mirror area being a sliding door that lets you look over the living space was also a great feature for families. The location is perfect for walking around! We also visited Suwa Shrine in the forest. There are many great restaurants along Old Karuizawa Street, which makes this such a pleasant location. We went out for eel for dinner. Since I love the atmosphere of Old Karuizawa, I hope Grandy Style can help energize Old Karuizawa as a resort area together with the whole town! We had breakfast at the Hotel. There was a wide variety of options and everything was delicious—I was surprised my elderly mother ate more than usual. The curry in particular was excellent. I think being able to choose your main dish is a great idea; since we stayed two nights, we chose different mains. Most of the staff were young, and their service with friendly smiles felt great. Rather than overly attentive “Japanese-style” hospitality, it felt relaxed, which I appreciated. Thank you very much.

    A stylish, newly opened Hotel

    It’s a relatively new Hotel, and the Room is very stylish—nothing to complain about. The restaurant dinner was especially delicious. It took a leisurely two hours to be served, but the taste was outstanding! The location is excellent—Old Karuizawa Ginza was just nearby. Parking was also conveniently on the Hotel grounds and not far away. We stayed with a toddler, and the lobby drink corner in the evening was great, with plenty of snacks. The pajamas also came in a wide range of sizes, so our whole family could match.

    Shared-use villa style

    A villa-style Hotel operated by Kato Pleasure Group, which also runs Fufu. Owners who purchase a Room can use it when they like, and on days they don’t use it, it can be rented out as part of the Hotel to generate operating income. [What I liked] - Maybe because it’s a villa, the Room was extremely spacious. The bathroom was also very large. - Hotel guests can also use the lounge. - It was in a convenient location (I think), which was nice. - The large public bath was well equipped, with both a dry sauna and a mist sauna. - All staff were friendly and smiling; even the international staff spoke fluent Japanese, which was impressive. [What concerned me] - It’s not all-inclusive. You can get drinks in the lounge and you’re allowed to bring cups back to your Room, but the in-room fridge only had water. (Drinks at dinner and breakfast are of course charged.) Also, the lounge is only open until 22:00 at night and there is no morning service. - The plants on the balcony were dried up (maybe owners manage them?). - The view from the window was average. - The food was so-so. At dinner, the seating guidance felt odd: we were made to sit two people each at adjacent four-person tables placed very close together, so we ended up extremely close to other guests next to us—even though there are staggered dining times, we still got seated side by side around similar time slots. Is this only for non-owner guests? - Breakfast was quite disappointing too. You choose a main dish and everything else is buffet-style, but the main dish was already cold by the time it arrived… not tasty. The only hot item was the buffet soup (kept warm in a Vermicular pot). I understand that it’s essentially borrowing someone’s vacation home space so some things may be unavoidable—but at around 50,000 yen per person, I expected more. If so, I’d probably choose Fufu instead after all.

    A heartwarming Hotel you’ll want to visit again and again

    I recently stayed for the second time, and it was truly a wonderful Hotel. In addition to the comfortable atmosphere throughout the property and the delicious meals, what impressed me most was the thoughtful attention of all the staff. This trip also served as a celebration of my daughter’s pregnancy, and they kindly prepared separate menu options for her, so we could relax and enjoy our meals with peace of mind.     It was a new and beautiful Hotel in Old Karuizawa. The food was delicious, and the bath was excellent. There was also a lounge where we could freely enjoy coffee and other drinks, so we were very satisfied.

    This was my first stay, and the Room was spacious, new, comfortable, and very pleasant. The only minor issue was that it took a while for the shower water to get hot. It’s also great that there is an Onsen, and the lounge service with free drinks and ice cream was a nice touch. And the breakfast was outstanding. There was a wide variety of high-quality salads, soups, and desserts, and I ended up eating too much (laugh). It was so delicious I’d come back just for breakfast. I’d like to stay again soon.

    My female friend and I stayed to celebrate my 40th birthday. It was a stress-free stay and we were completely satisfied. Both dinner and breakfast were delicious, and the staff provided reassuring service with wonderful smiles. We also enjoyed trying out beauty devices from the loan items and had a great time.

    Always a wonderful hotel.

    Everyone at the hotel welcomed us warmly. The Room was kept very clean, and the ingredients in the meals were fresh and delicious. Until we checked out, we were surrounded by the attentive care of all the staff. Their consistent hospitality allowed us to relax and enjoy our time.     The staff are wonderful.

    During my stay at Grandista Style Kyu-Karuizawa Hotel & Resort, not only were the Room and the atmosphere throughout the Hotel wonderful, but what left the strongest impression was the warm hospitality of all the staff. From check-in to check-out, each person greeted me with a smile and attentive service, allowing me to spend a truly comfortable time. Thank you for creating such wonderful memories. I would love to stay here again when I visit Karuizawa.

    It’s a nice Hotel.

    This was my second stay. I enjoyed it last time, so I came again. The location in Old Karuizawa is excellent. The Facility is new and feels great. After arriving and entering the Room, I went to the lounge and had some champagne. The Onsen bath afterward was also very nice. The food was delicious; I enjoyed the wine pairing, and my wife enjoyed a seasonal limited-time cocktail. The service was friendly. Check-out was smooth, but the farewell at departure could have been more attentive. It didn’t convey a sense of “Thank you for staying with us—please come again,” with a respectful bow, or a cheerful send-off like “Have a wonderful rest of your trip.” It felt untrained in that regard and unfortunately too mechanical—not so much because staff were busy, but because they didn’t seem to be taught how to express appreciation to guests. Still, overall I think it was good service. Thank you very much—I’m satisfied. Please keep up the good work.
