    Onsen

    The Onsen at the City Hotel was great. It was spacious and allowed for a relaxing experience. The entrance was a bit hard to find.

    The view of the stadium and mountain range is impressive.

    I visited just a few days after the opening, so I thought the staff might be inexperienced, but they provided all the necessary assistance adequately. The new Facility was comfortable. Breakfast was a buffet, but the quality was solid, incorporating local dishes, making it unique and enjoyable.

    The building and room are excellent, and we look forward to improvements in guidance in the future...

    I stayed for one night in early November. Since it had just opened with much fanfare, I thought the building, room, and facilities were sparkling and wonderful. However, it was too stylish, making the directions hard to understand, and there seems to be room for improvement. First, the day before my stay, I went to ask about access to the parking lot, but it was quite a challenge to find the front desk. There was an escalator from the hotel entrance, so I took it, but it only went up to the 4th floor, and I thought the front desk might be there, but it wasn't. I asked a staff member there (4F), but they didn't seem to be from the hotel and replied, "I don't know." After wandering around, I found out that I had to take the elevator to the 7th floor. (Actually, I realized later that I should have taken the elevator from the 1st floor. Indeed, there is a sign next to the elevator that says "7F Reception," but it is treated on par with various facilities on other floors, so it doesn't stand out at all.) So, I asked a young male staff member at the 7F front desk, "How do I enter the parking lot?" but he only told me something like "turn at the rental car shop," without any map or guide. The next day, when I actually stayed, as expected, I couldn't figure out how to enter the parking lot and ended up circling the area several times. (There are several rental car company offices between Nagasaki Station and the hotel.) With all that said, I think there is much room for improvement in the signage and information provided by the staff. To repeat, the location, building, and facilities are excellent, so I have high hopes for the future.

    The Trending Stadium City

    The new stadium illumination was a delightful addition, and the hotel stay was very enjoyable. The hotel had a pleasant fragrance, and the amenities also smelled nice, which was soothing. The nearby fireworks display was also a great view and enjoyable. Since I was using a car, I was informed that the parking required a prior reservation, so I provided my license plate number and made a reservation. However, the entrance to the parking lot was difficult to find. After circling the area about five times, I contacted the hotel and was instructed to register at the car rental shop in front of the station and proceed from there to the hotel. Upon arriving at the hotel entrance, I was directed to the back of the hotel and encouraged to use the facility's parking lot. When I inquired during check-in, I was told that due to the high number of parking reservations, they were taking separate reservations for the facility and hotel parking lots. Given that I had already provided detailed information in advance, I believe there should have been communication, or at least, when I called, I should have been directed to the back parking lot. As a new hotel, I understand that operations might be a bit hectic, but I think improving the service level a bit more would enhance customer satisfaction. I hope it becomes a service that makes guests want to return, not just a one-time satisfaction.

    Not quite as good as the initial reputation.

    Since it is a newly opened Hotel, the Facility and Room were new and pleasant. However, despite encountering several staff members in the large public bath, necessary items like towels and tissues were not replenished, and although breakfast was buffet-style, there were many disappointing moments such as the lack of dishes to take. I think it is a good Hotel if you like soccer, but it still felt lacking to be considered first-class.

    Popular Hotel

    I was looking forward to visiting as it is a new Hotel. The Room had futons? that were very comfortable, allowing for a good night's sleep. There was no washbasin, which is common in ordinary Hotels, so I was a bit confused, but I thought the sink next to the tea set might have been a substitute for a washbasin. However, it was somewhat difficult to use. What I particularly liked was that the stadium could be seen from the breakfast area, providing a sense of openness and making the meal very enjoyable. The rice was especially delicious. I will visit Nagasaki next time for my grandchild's graduation ceremony. I am looking forward to seeing even better Facilities and staff.
