    For my grandchild’s birthday

    I made this Reservation for my son’s family’s summer vacation, also to celebrate my granddaughter’s birthday. They seemed to have a wonderful time, and I’m glad I booked it. However, since the parking required advance booking, we arrived around 3:00 PM, and for the next day’s show only afternoon seats were available. We had to move the car by 12:00 PM, which was a bit disappointing (it would have been better if parking were valid for 24 hours from arrival). The Room size and meal quality were excellent, which made it all the more unfortunate. I would like to visit again if I have the chance. Thank you very much.

    It was very good.

    The meals, Facility, amenities, and the staff’s service were all truly wonderful. On both Day 1 and Day 2, we could enter and exit SeaWorld freely, and we were grateful to also receive a ¥3,000 shopping voucher as part of the 60-day advance booking benefit. We would definitely love to visit again.

    The entire building ...

    The entire building is very beautiful, and the guest rooms are refined. What stood out most was the Hotel’s uncompromising concept: from the interior design and furnishings to the lighting and subtle touches, a consistent worldview is carefully crafted throughout. The service and hospitality were also excellent. It wasn’t just polite—each staff member clearly values this resort’s distinctive “aquarium” theme. I appreciated their commitment to completing that world not only through the Facility itself, but through the service as well. That said, there were a few areas that felt slightly disappointing. First, dinner is buffet-style. While this is understandable given occupancy levels and operational considerations, it felt somewhat out of step with the sense of quality and exclusivity conveyed by the guest rooms and public spaces. At minimum, it would have been nice to see more thoughtful arrangements—such as separating tables or dining areas by room category—so guests could enjoy a calmer, more relaxed meal. Because this Hotel has built its concept so meticulously down to the smallest details, it naturally makes you hope for that same special feeling during dining as well. Another point was elevator wait times. This likely depends on season and time of day, but having to let 3–4 elevators pass during busy periods before being able to board was quite tough. Some of this may stem from the building’s design, but I would still like to see improvements or operational measures to ease congestion. Overall, in terms of the building, guest rooms, service, and its unique worldview, this was an exceptionally well-executed Hotel. In particular, it’s impressive how the concept goes beyond decoration and is integrated into the entire stay experience. That’s why I feel that if dining conditions and internal movement within the property were improved further, it could become an even more seamless and highly polished resort.

    Family Obon holiday

    We stayed for one night and two days as a family of four from Kagawa Prefecture. We were really looking forward to the fact that we could enter Suma Sea World next door to the Hotel as many times as we wanted during our stay. The Hotel was very clean, beautiful, and smelled wonderful. Many of the staff were young, and their service was polite. Our Room had an ocean view—stylish and spotless. The balcony was spacious with a great view. Dolphins were gracefully swimming in the pool on the property. Dinner buffet: the restaurant was also clean and spacious, and although it was crowded, everything was delicious and we enjoyed it. After that, we went to the aquarium and watched the dolphins’ night show. Even at night it was almost full. The breakfast buffet was also delicious, and the scenery outside that we could see from there was very soothing. After checkout, we put our luggage in the free lockers on the first floor and headed back to Sea World again. We also enjoyed the orca show. It wasn’t nearly as crowded as last night, but we were able to shop for souvenirs too, so we had fun from start to finish. We would like to stay again. Thank you very much.

    Family Trip Nearby

    We stayed here as a family to visit Suma Sea World. The front desk staff were friendly, and the Room was very clean, so we had a comfortable stay. The dinner and breakfast buffet was very crowded. We were told in advance that it would likely be busy, so we went early, but since we had reserved seats for the aquarium show, we were nervous about making it in time. The rooftop deck was also cool and pleasant at night. We did feel that it would have been nice if checkout were one hour later.

    Odor in the guest room

    Next to the aquarium during the extreme heat, it was perfect for taking things slow. There aren’t many other options besides this place. The ocean view right in front of the Room was wonderful, but there was a damp smell embedded in the Room fabrics. Given the seaside location, it may be unavoidable, but the sofa smelled like someone had sat on it while sweaty, and even the bedding held a musty odor. The smell bothered me so much that I couldn’t sleep. It might improve if you Reservation a higher-grade, larger Room. The bathroom and toilet areas were very clean. However, even when we pulled up by car, staff didn’t come out, and despite paying a high price there were several disappointing points. Still, because the location is excellent, if you want to enjoy the aquarium at a relaxed pace, this Hotel is a good choice. Alternatively, if you’re paying this price—since this Hotel doesn’t have a large public bath or pool—it may be worth planning your aquarium visit carefully and also going to an Onsen nearby.

    It was a wonderful Hotel.

    The other day, my family and I stayed at Suma Sea World Hotel. My elderly mother said she wanted to visit the newly renovated Suma aquarium but couldn’t walk anymore, so I made a Reservation at the Hotel to celebrate her birthday while she’s still feeling well. Since I requested a wheelchair when making the online Reservation, everything went very smoothly. The front desk staff and restaurant team were all kind and sincere, which made our stay truly comfortable. The restaurant meals were buffet-style, and every dish was delicious and beautifully presented. The view from our Room balcony was wonderful, and just watching the dolphins swimming in the pool was so relaxing. I had reserved a birthday cake via Room service in advance, but forgot to request a message card—thank you for leaving such a lovely card in our Room anyway. The cake with the large orca message cookie was also delicious. My mother was very happy as well. If we have another chance, we would like to make a Reservation again.

    There’s a great spot nearby—SeaWorld.

    Excellent access from the Hanshin area. Within 30 minutes by car, and although the parking lot is outdoors, advance Reservation makes entry and exit smooth. Everything is picture-perfect—the scale of the adjacent Marine World, views of the bay area including the Akashi Kaikyo Bridge, and the contrast between the yacht harbor and large sailing ships. As a special perk for guests, we especially recommend joining the orca viewing tour after breakfast—you’ll be amazed by how intelligent they are.

    Dinner was a bit disappointing.

    The ingredients are good, but the seasoning is underwhelming. The Kobe beef stew uses quality meat and is tender, but it has very little flavor and lacks depth—such a waste. The nigiri sushi was too cold and just average. The roast beef was cut too thick, and it felt greasy rather than light.

    Trip for My Grandchild’s 3rd Birthday

    The Hotel was new, and the Room was clean—our grandchild even enjoyed running around barefoot. We chose plans with meals included for both dinner and breakfast, and there was a wide variety of delicious options. It rained the next day, but we could leave our luggage in the Hotel lockers and go to the aquarium hands-free to watch the dolphin and orca shows, so it was convenient to come and go as we liked. The Suma Aquarium, which we visited for the first time in a long while, was beautiful, and the Hotel was great too—this made it a perfect family trip. Thank you for your hospitality.

    Second time.

    The Room was clean, the meals were delicious, and we were able to relax. We could also see dolphins up close, and we truly appreciated the staff’s thoughtful hospitality. We would love to visit again.

    I live in the neighb...

    I live in the neighboring ward. I visited as a trial with my grandchildren. It was better than I expected, and we joined the night tour, which was very enjoyable. However, since check-out is at 10:00 a.m., we were busy and couldn’t join the morning activities, which was disappointing. Even though I’m a local, I thought they did a great job with both breakfast and dinner. I’d like to visit again during summer vacation.

    Everything is so kind!

    I stayed with my husband for my birthday and had such a wonderful time, filled with gratitude for the staff’s warm, natural smiles and cheerful voices. The Room was spotless, and I was thrilled to see the Dolphin Lagoon directly below from the balcony! Both the buffet-style dinner and breakfast were beautifully presented and absolutely delicious—I was truly impressed. And here again, everyone was so kind (I especially remember the live kitchen staff greeting me with a smile; I was moved by how gentle and thoughtful everyone was). It was such a comforting stay that I’d love to visit again and again. I also watched the SeaWorld dolphin and orca shows three times each—tears in my eyes every time. It was a performance full of love and emotion that I want to brag about to people all over the world! At both the Hotel and SeaWorld, I could really feel how sincerely hard-working and attentive all the staff were, which made everything even more pleasant. Thank you very much! Lastly, when making my Reservation I had requested—“if possible”—a high-floor Room, and I was so happy that you remembered and made it happen.

    It was comfortable.

    I stayed here to visit SeaWorld. It’s conveniently located near the station, the building is new and clean, and both dinner and breakfast were delicious.

    I’d love to stay here again!

    We stayed as four generations. The hospitality was excellent, every meal was delicious, and the Room was clean, so everyone was satisfied. We would like to stay again.

    We had a great time.

    I met up with my daughter and her family, who live in Kansai, at the Hotel and enjoyed SeaWorld and the Hotel for two days. There was a dolphin pool right in front of our Room, and we could watch the dolphins from the terrace—our kids were thrilled. We were also able to join the morning walk at the Orca Stadium, which made for wonderful memories. Since we stayed in a Large-type Room, it felt spacious and comfortable. The kids are already asking to go again. We will definitely visit again.

    Wonderful

    As this is a new Hotel, it felt very clean, and the soundproofing was perfect—I couldn’t hear anything from the neighboring rooms and was able to relax in peace. Since the aquarium was closed that day, I joined an orca lecture; the explanations were easy to understand and made me even more excited for my visit the next day. The meals offered a wide variety and were delicious, and I think it’s a great idea that you can choose your preferred amenities. Breakfast the next morning also had many options and tasted great, but it was disappointing that the rice was hard and there was no miso soup. All staff members were cheerful and efficient, which left a great impression, and they responded to my questions politely. This is a Facility I would recommend.

    It was a good Hotel.

    The Room was clean and easy to use, and the view from the window was wonderful, so we were able to stay comfortably. The amenity buffet was also convenient and very helpful. Above all, the staff’s attentiveness was outstanding, and their polite, kind service was truly soothing. I’m glad we stayed here. This is a Hotel I would recommend to others.

    Reservations via IKYU: Suma Sea World & Hotel

    Everything was outstanding. First, I made a Reservation through IKYU and received a souvenir shopping voucher as a perk. From our Room at the Sea World Hotel, we could see the dolphins. The ocean was right there, and the food—true to Kobe—was far from ordinary, with unique ingredients and lots of variety. Sea World itself was wonderful: we enjoyed the dolphin show, the orca show, and so much more. It was so great that adults will want to come back again and again—and kids will too.

    Fun for children, but not suitable for long-term stays as a base for sightseeing in the surrounding area.

    We stayed for about a week as a base for sightseeing in the area. In conclusion, the kids enjoyed it thanks to the wide range of activities, but it felt somewhat tough for adults. - What kids will enjoy In addition to being able to enter SeaWorld as many times as they like, there are plenty of options that can keep children entertained for full days, such as morning backstage access and evening craft activities. - Buffet dining Overall, the menu is very kid-friendly, and our children were happy with it. On the other hand, there are few elements that allow adults to unwind. The buffet is heavily geared toward children, with limited seasonal local ingredients that adults might appreciate. Even during a Multiple Night Stay, there is little variation in the menu. Compared with other family Resort Hotels in the same price range, there is less local character and fewer day-to-day changes. For main dishes like beef steak, you have to respond when asked “Shall we prepare one portion?” and then have it cooked; one portion is only two slices. It was hard to eat enough to feel satisfied, and I ended up craving meat so much that I skipped the buffet and went to the yakiniku restaurant across the street instead. When I made my Reservation, only a Plan with buffet included was available. Many Hotels in this class allow you to cancel meals on days you don’t use them and refund that amount or convert it into credit for other services, but this Hotel did not seem to offer anything like that. Having this unchanging buffet included every day during a Multiple Night Stay felt like poor value, so I wanted more flexibility in the Plan options. - Other entertainment for adults Options for adults within the Hotel—such as cakes at a bar or lounge or shopping—have been significantly reduced. After children fall asleep or when couples take turns watching them, there’s no easy way to enjoy even a short moment of adult indulgence inside the Hotel during a Multiple Night Stay, which becomes stressful over time. There are some restaurants nearby, but it’s not an area where simply taking a stroll feels enjoyable either. - Service Not bad, but not great. Compared with Miyako Hotels or Hilton properties in a similar price range, hospitality and service felt noticeably weaker—though slightly better than Prince Hotels. - Guest rooms It’s great being able to see the dolphins’ pool from your room. I did feel sorry seeing dolphins staying in such a small pool all day long; still, it was an impressive experience that’s hard to find elsewhere. You can also see the ocean—the location is excellent. In Kobe—where many Hotels have older and smaller rooms—it was also nice that many rooms here are relatively spacious. That said,,the layout/flow was awkward enough at times to be stressful; however,,it was good that there are flat rooms suitable for young children."""

    Perfect for families with children!

    We made our Reservation to visit Kobe Suma Sea World. The most helpful part was being able to enter and exit Sea World as many times as we wanted during our stay, and having an entrance exclusively for Hotel guests. After getting soaked in the splash zone at the orca show, even with a raincoat my sneakers were drenched—so staying overnight was absolutely the right choice. The dinner buffet had a make-your-own soft-serve ice cream station, which delighted our child. The selection differed between dinner and breakfast, and everything was delicious. This is a Hotel we would definitely like to stay at again.

    With Dolphins

    This was my second stay, and I was completely satisfied again. From the Hotel front desk, you can see dolphins right away, and when you enter the Room, you can also spot dolphins from the balcony. Joining the morning orca health check was a unique experience that only a SeaWorld Hotel can offer, and I really enjoyed it. I’d love to stay again. Seeing the large parent-and-calf orcas was amazing as well.

    I was moved to see a squid swimming beneath the veranda.

    We stayed here with our family. Seeing dolphins swimming in the pool below our Room’s balcony was a truly special experience. The Room was spacious, new, and very comfortable. The food was delicious, and the lockers were large and easy to use. In addition, guests can enter the aquarium for free twice, which we really appreciated. It was a very satisfying stay for our whole family.

    My First Trip with My Grandchild

    This was our first trip as a group of four—my daughter, my grandchild, and my spouse and I. We chose the more affordable Room, so we expected an extra bed or a sofa bed, but we were pleasantly surprised to have proper beds nearby and slept well. The meals were satisfying, and the guest perks were also great. Thank you very much for being considerate of my grandchild’s allergies. We had a wonderful time visiting SeaWorld for two days, and we would love to come again.

    Convenient and comfortable for visiting Suma Sea World

    The Facility and Room were new, the staff were attentive, and the location next to SeaWorld was convenient and comfortable. However, the shared areas were somewhat lacking. There were too few elevators for the number of guests, and especially around checkout time we often couldn’t get on and had to let several go by. The restaurant was particularly crowded in the morning. Guests joining the morning orca walk event need to eat first thing, so everyone tends to arrive at once. The buffet was interesting with some special menu items, but I’d like to see an improved dinner selection. Breakfast was better. Since we stayed during a holiday period it can’t be helped, but compared with the overall experience, the room rate felt expensive.

    The aquarium was so ...

    The aquarium was so much fun! The hotel was right next door, so after getting soaked by the killer whales, I could run back and shower right away—very convenient. The food was exquisite, and I was very satisfied. The facilities were modern throughout, making it great value for families with children.

    I was impressed by the program.

    I had a wonderful time with my friend who loves aquariums. The meals in the morning and evening were delicious, and everything went smoothly without any waiting time. The morning Orca Walk program helped me understand orca behavior even better than what I learned from the shows and at the restaurant, and it was truly excellent and very fulfilling. I would love to visit again, along with Suma Sea World.
