    Comparable to a standard Business Hotel.

    I stayed on a Club Lounge access Plan, but the in-Room facilities were hard to use. The labels on the lighting and air-conditioning control panel are engraved into black plastic, making them extremely difficult to read. The large public bath is small for the number of rooms in the Hotel. They say you can check crowding on the TV, but you have to turn on the TV and then scan a QR code with your smartphone—an unnecessary extra step. Whoever came up with this must be out of their mind. I went without knowing and it was extremely crowded; it’s full with about 10 people, but there were clearly more than 20. Breakfast had no more variety than an ordinary Business Hotel. The snacks in the Club Lounge were also very limited and disappointing. The Room amenities have declined significantly compared to when they first opened—I even wondered if too many guests took them home. Maybe that’s why they keep removing items; perhaps even bathrobes now require calling the front desk to have one brought up. In this condition, I feel sorry for the Sheraton brand.

    A wonderful Hotel in Kagoshima

    Perhaps because I had stayed at a strange Hotel the day before, this one felt very proper and excellent. However, the staff somehow seemed a bit cold.

    The Room was wonderf...

    The Room was wonderful. The amenities were well stocked. We had breakfast on one day, and it offered a wide variety of options and was very delicious. We even enjoyed ice cream in the morning. The Onsen was also excellent.

    Relax and unwind in this wonderful Room!

    The Room was very spacious and comfortable. Sakurajima can be seen beautifully. However, check-in took a very long time. Unfortunately, we did not receive the IKYU benefits, and due to issues with the check-in procedures, it also took a long time to charge dining expenses to the Room, which was very disappointing. It may have been an inexperienced front desk staff member, but if so, they should have had support.

    Enjoy stunning views of Sakurajima!

    The window glass was sparkling clean! We stayed in a Sakurajima view room for 2 days and enjoyed the various faces of Sakurajima! The onsen was a bit crowded at times, but we could check the congestion status through the app and use it accordingly. The water was amazing! I would love to stay here again when I visit Kagoshima.

    This is my second stay.

    Last time, about a year ago, I stayed with the Lounge Plan, but the lounge was very crowded, most of the food was gone, and it wasn't very enjoyable for someone who doesn't drink alcohol. This time, I stayed with a regular dinner and breakfast included plan. As a result, I was able to enjoy eating my favorite dishes at my own pace and was very satisfied. The bath is small but warms you up nicely, and I could relax in the footbath as well. The shuttle bus driver and staff at the dinner and breakfast venues were all very pleasant, making my stay comfortable. However, regarding IKYU's benefits, they were not provided unless I requested them at the front desk. The response during that process wasn't particularly pleasant either. Perhaps it's understandable since most guests are likely Marriott members.

    Lounge

    I reserved a room with club lounge access, but it did not feel like a lounge at all. The check-in process was crowded, the selection of items was limited, and the hotel staff seemed overwhelmed by the number of guests, making it impossible to relax. I also had breakfast in the lounge, but again, there were very few options and nothing appealing to eat. Even when using the downstairs area, is the selection always that limited? Everything felt inadequate. There was sparkling wine available, but honestly, that wasn’t real sparkling wine. It would be nice to have a smoking area closer to the lounge at least. Also, I think loungewear for accessing both the lounge and public bath should be provided.

    For a refined stay in Kagoshima, this is the place.

    In Kagoshima City, this Hotel and Shiroyama Hotel are considered the symbolic hotels. Shiroyama Hotel represents tradition, while Sheraton exudes sophistication. The hotel is new, clean, offers delicious meals, and has an Onsen for a fulfilling stay. There are also two shuttle buses per hour from the central station, making it very convenient.

    Thank you very much for your hospitality.

    When I called to discuss that my father couldn't use a down comforter due to his chronic condition, the staff kindly replaced it with a non-down one. Despite it being the busy Christmas season, they accommodated us without any additional charges, for which we are truly grateful. The Room was very spacious and comfortable with an excellent layout. We were able to enjoy the large public bath at our leisure until check-out time. On the day of check-in, Sakurajima was completely obscured by mist, and I felt disappointed as we had chosen a room with a view of Sakurajima. However, the next morning, the mist cleared as if by magic, and we were able to witness an absolutely stunning sunrise. Thank you so much!

    A Birthday Trip for My Elderly Mother

    Thank you very much for your kind support and the message you sent in advance regarding the reservation for a birthday trip with my elderly mother. My mother was delighted to receive the message card and baked goods prepared in the room, and she called me to express her joy. However, during check-in, it seems she had to wait over 20 minutes at the front desk due to many international guests. It would be appreciated if individual guests could be assisted separately. Thank you again for all your thoughtful arrangements on this occasion.

    The view is stunning.

    Last time, I stayed with my spouse, but this time I stayed alone due to personal matters. The view from Kotsuki River to Kinko Bay and Sakurajima is unobstructed and truly unique. In July, I stayed at Fukuoka Miyako Hotel, and in September at Osaka Imperial Hotel—both were great. However, personally, I prefer the room layout of international hotels like this one as it allows me to relax more. The room was as clean as ever; however, the lack of liquid hand soap and only having bar soap was slightly inconvenient. Since I had a dinner meeting in the evening and went out, my stay at the hotel was shorter than last time. After the dinner meeting, I felt unwell due to travel fatigue and consulted with the front desk at night—they kindly assisted me, for which I'm very grateful. Thanks to their help, I recovered by morning and was able to depart after being seen off by a friend. Thank you for your hospitality!

    It's disappointing despite staying at the Sheraton.

    I was very disappointed during my stay at the Sheraton due to the poor manners of several groups of Chinese tourists. There were multiple such groups. They moved to the bath area in their sleepwear and indoor slippers, spoke loudly in the Onsen, and made me feel very uncomfortable. Does the Hotel provide proper explanations about etiquette during check-in? While Japanese guests follow proper manners, such behavior lowers Sheraton's standards. Even at the breakfast venue, they were noisy and intruded into spaces, causing Japanese travelers to distance themselves. During my 4-night stay at Shiroyama Hotel in Kagoshima or Kirishima Onsen, there were also Chinese tourist groups; however, they followed hotel rules. This is not about racial discrimination—there should be many measures that hotels can take. Other luxury Hotels and Ryokans are able to manage this effectively.

    I stayed during the Obon period this time, having previously enjoyed your accommodation. Due to my mistake, there was a double booking (the other reservation was made as a BONBOY member). When I requested to cancel one of the reservations, I was informed that it could not be done due to the busy season. The cancellation fee was 100%, and there were no special benefits or services offered. While I acknowledge it was my error, it left me unable to fully enjoy my stay, which was disappointing. Additionally, there wasn’t anything particularly memorable or impressive this time around.

    A wonderful Hotel to be proud of in the local area

    Stayed with a meal-inclusive plan to celebrate a birthday. Enjoyed the bar, gym, and large public bath during the stay for the hotel's 2nd anniversary. Proud to see such a wonderful hotel added in Kagoshima.

    Unparalleled comfort and complete satisfaction!!

    During my recent visit to Kagoshima, I stayed at Sheraton Kagoshima for the first time. From check-in to check-out, my stay was thoroughly pleasant. I used almost all the facilities including the front desk, café, restaurant, and bar. The staff were polite yet friendly, and the occasional Kagoshima dialect intonation added a comforting touch—overall a very satisfying experience. There were some inappropriate behaviors by certain foreign guests in the public bath area, but this seems to be due to cultural differences and is somewhat understandable. As I will be visiting Kagoshima more often for work in the future, I definitely plan to stay here again. If you're considering it—this place is highly recommended!

    Sakurajima right in front of you

    It was my first time visiting Kagoshima and staying at Sheraton. I was upgraded to a room with a view of Sakurajima for a small additional fee, and the Room was spacious with an amazing view of Sakurajima right in front of me. Additionally, I was offered access to the lounge at a reasonable price, which I gladly used. In the lounge, I enjoyed beer and wine while admiring the stunning view of Sakurajima, along with sufficient meals. The staff were consistently friendly and provided excellent service, making my stay very satisfying. If I visit Kagoshima again in the future, I would definitely like to stay here again. However, using the lockers in the public bath area was quite challenging; other guests seemed to struggle as well. It might be better if they were made easier to use.

    It was new and very clean.

    We stayed here for a family trip. The room was spacious and clean, exceeding our expectations. The large public bath had extended hours, so we used it twice. We will definitely choose this Hotel again when visiting Kagoshima next time.

    Repeat accommodation.

    Having stayed here before and loved the atmosphere of both the lobby and the room, I decided to visit again. The room was spacious and had a great ambiance, while the Onsen, though small, was clean and offered enjoyable cloudy hot spring water. The breakfast menu featured a wide variety of vegetables and desserts, with soft and delicious bread. The selection of fruit juices was excellent, making it something to look forward to each time. Local specialties like chicken rice and Sakurajima udon were also delightful to try. With excellent hospitality, this is a hotel I would love to stay at again.

    Hotel with Onsen

    The Hotel has an Onsen open until 1 AM, so I was able to relax even after checking in late. However, the cleaning staff might not have been very professional as the table in the changing room was not very clean. It was disappointing.

    A Trip with My Daughter

    I stayed for one night with my daughter. There is a parking lot behind the Hotel, but the access was not very convenient. The reception staff were polite and excellent. Perhaps because I reserved dinner on the day, my dessert was different from others and unfortunately not very tasty, which was the only downside. The breakfast buffet was satisfactory. The guest room had a great view, was thoroughly cleaned, and had stylish interior decor. I would like to use this Accommodation again if I have another opportunity.

    A unique, stylish, and luxurious Hotel in Kagoshima

    This hotel offers excellent access, reachable via a tram transfer from Kagoshima-Chuo Station. The building is modern, with spacious and stylish rooms. Despite its compact size, the onsen features an open-air bath with cloudy waters. The hotel also includes a gym and spa, with the gym offering views of Sakurajima. Although our room did not have a Sakurajima view, we enjoyed a scenic view of the wide river, which looked perfect for a pleasant walk. While there are few dining options nearby, the hotel has its own izakaya restaurant and is just a few tram stops away from the bustling downtown area. The breakfast venue is spacious and offers an extensive selection of salads and fruits as well as local dishes like chicken rice (keihan) and satsuma-age fish cakes. The live kitchen serves not only classic omelets but also freshly made rice balls—all incredibly delicious! This urban-style hotel is rare in Kagoshima, allowing guests to enjoy Sheraton's consistently high quality while experiencing the charm of Kagoshima—a truly wonderful stay!

    Five-star Hotel with Natural Flowing Onsen - The Best!

    The Facility is very clean and beautiful, as it is still new. The large public bath with natural Onsen flowing directly from the source is amazing!! Just having an Onsen in a city Hotel's large public bath is exciting, but this one had excellent water quality with natural flow from the source. Breakfast was quite delicious, and the rice was particularly memorable for its great taste. I would love to stay here again when I visit Kagoshima. Thank you very much!

    Couple's Trip During Golden Week

    I stayed on the club floor, and the room and lounge had a very clean and relaxing atmosphere, making my stay very pleasant. My plans changed, and I needed to stay another night unexpectedly. The staff at the lounge kindly arranged a room for me, accommodating my requests so I could stay in a great room.

    I stayed for two nights. The breakfast and evening cocktail service at the club lounge had some menu changes over the two days, which kept it enjoyable even during a multiple night stay. On the second day, the bath mat was not replenished. I noticed this after changing into my room wear, so I decided to manage without requesting one to be brought up. Additionally, according to IKYU's description, amenities like lotion were supposed to be provided, but they were not available in the room. Since this was a slightly longer trip and I had packed light, it caused some inconvenience. It would also have been nice if bath salts were provided. There was an Onsen available; however, as it didn’t seem to offer any scenic views, I chose not to visit it. Having a bathroom with a washing area in my room was very convenient though. If I visit Kagoshima again in the future, I’d like to stay in a room with a view of Sakurajima Island.

    Services comparable to a Business Hotel

    At the entrance, I was directed to line up at the first-floor front desk, where my stay date was quickly confirmed, and check-in and payment were completed on the spot. When I inquired why check-in was not conducted on the Club Floor as stated in the Plan, I was told it was because I had not specifically requested it. There was no confirmation of my Plan or suggestions for check-in methods; everything proceeded without consultation. When I protested this on-site, there were no responses or apologies—it was completely ignored. This time, we arrived by car. The doorman seemed preoccupied with directing us to a distant parking lot and did not confirm our names as guests or assist with unloading luggage. Only after requesting assistance myself were we able to unload our luggage. The parking lot is quite far away, so leaving our luggage behind turned out to be a good decision. I filed a complaint about the front desk issue at the Club Floor reception area. While I received an apology from the Front Office Manager the next day, what I expected was an immediate and sincere apology at that moment. The meals on the Club Floor were average—neither particularly good nor bad—and nothing stood out as exceptional. However, views of Sakurajima were beautiful. While new facilities ensure excellent hardware quality, improvements are needed in terms of service quality (software).

    Stayed for our wedding anniversary.

    We booked two rooms for our family to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Upon entering the room, we were touched by the swan-shaped towels. The welcome sweets were delicious, and the addition of "Karukan," a local specialty from Kagoshima, brought a smile to our faces. The public bath felt dark and lacked a view, which might make it inconvenient for elderly guests. It would have been wonderful if both the restaurant and public bath offered views of Sakurajima; this could attract more repeat visitors. This time, we used the lounge facilities. I thought it would be amazing if it resembled something like The Ritz-Carlton's lounge experience. Still, I look forward to staying at this hotel again someday! The meals featured many local specialties from Kagoshima and were absolutely delightful—so delicious! (*´∇｀) It turned out to be a truly wonderful wedding anniversary celebration.     Beautiful view of Sakurajima!

    This was my first trip to Kagoshima, and I stayed for a Multiple Night Stay. It was incredibly comfortable. The guest room was clean, sophisticated, and cozy, with an absolutely stunning view of Sakurajima from the window! The Onsen in the large public bath wasn't very spacious but never crowded, allowing me to relax and unwind from the journey. The staff provided exceptional hospitality, especially the concierge who gave thoughtful advice on my travel itinerary—it was truly helpful. This is a wonderful Hotel. It was perfect. Thank you so much!
