    Staying with Expectations

    Check-in around 4 PM, guided to the front desk on the first floor for check-in procedures. I wonder about check-in at the club lounge with club benefits. After explanations at the front desk on the first floor, I find my way to the room on the 17th floor by myself. The view from the club lounge is only one floor different, so it doesn't feel much different from the view from the room. I had beer in the club lounge, but there were only two types of canned beer: Super Dry and Budweiser, which felt somewhat lacking. The attentiveness of staff and views from Room were good. Onsen has no view, so you bathe while looking at a wall.

    The view of Sakuraji...

    The view of Sakurajima from the 18th-floor club lounge was very nice. I was able to relax with my friends and their spouse. It was unfortunate that the parking lot was hard to find and the bath on the 5th floor was crowded, but we had a very good time.

    Wonderful meals and Onsen

    I stayed for the first time. I stayed for one night to participate in a restaurant event. When I entered the Room, Sakurajima was right in front of me. I was able to relax in the Onsen with brown water. Of course, the restaurant event was also wonderful.

    Manners of Foreigners

    The manners of foreign visitors from neighboring countries using the sauna and Onsen are very poor. This alone can ruin an otherwise comfortable Hotel stay. Isn't there something that can be done about it?

    Good value for money when staying for two.

    Located right in front of the tram stop, close to Tenmonkan and the central station, with a supermarket next door, it's a convenient location. The room is spacious with high ceilings and well-equipped. There's also an onsen! I think it's a great property to enjoy your stay in Kagoshima. However, there are no single rooms, so as a budget traveler staying alone in a double room, I found the accommodation fee to be "expensive (sweat)". Perhaps because it's a foreign-affiliated property, the bed (height) is quite high. I booked a room with a view of Sakurajima, but when lying on the bed, I couldn't see Sakurajima, which was disappointing. I think it would be better to change the bed's orientation during future renovations so that the view can be enjoyed. It's a waste of Sakurajima! I was confused as I couldn't figure out how to use the bedside alarm (clock?). Similarly, I couldn't operate the air purifier. Although I could search for instructions, it would be convenient to have a file summarizing how to use the facilities. The coffee and tea bags were Kagoshima-produced (delicious), which left a good impression. If possible, I would like the mugs to be white so that the color of the tea and green tea can be checked. With dark-colored cups, it's hard to tell how much the tea has been brewed. The onsen is very clean. However, you can't see outside at all, let alone Sakurajima. Since it's on the Sakurajima side, I hope they can adjust the angle of the louvers or do something to allow for a bit of a view. At least, I wish they would remove the cover from the footbath area, which is used while clothed. I'm not sure about the men's bath, but in the women's bath, most of the washing areas are back-to-back, so be careful of your back. The shower water pressure is quite strong, so there's a high risk of getting splashed with the dirty water from the person behind you. Also, the number keys on the locker in the changing room are quite small, so don't forget your glasses if you need them. There is a page online where you can check the congestion of the onsen, but the updates are irregular, so it wasn't very reliable. The pajamas have a note saying "only in the room," but perhaps due to a broad interpretation, several people wore them to the onsen. It might be better to have a note saying "Do not wear to the onsen." The shampoo and other amenities in the room's shower are different from those in the onsen. The onsen's amenities have a milder scent, while the room's have a "foreign" scent. There is a sliding door with a shoji-like design between the bed and the washbasin, but I didn't notice it at all, thinking it was a wall. If you leave it slightly closed (shifted) on one side, it would be easier for first-time guests to notice.

    A luxurious moment

    This was my first time staying at a Sheraton in Japan. I had been longing to visit since it opened in Kagoshima, so my wish was fulfilled after 1 year and 8 months. The expectations were met, with both the room and public spaces exuding luxury and cleanliness, allowing me to always enjoy a sense of indulgence. Occasionally, I come across unnecessarily large rooms that feel empty, but the rooms at Sheraton Kagoshima are comfortable and spacious, with high-quality and beautiful interiors such as flooring, wallpaper, furniture, and lighting, making even rooms over 35 square meters feel cozy. The cleaning was also impressive. Thank you for the luxurious time. Next time, I would like to stay in a room with a view of Sakurajima. I need to make a teru teru bozu.

    For me, it is the number one Hotel in Kagoshima.

    The club lounge with a view of Sakurajima was excellent in terms of food, atmosphere, and service. Having experienced various club lounges domestically and internationally, I think they are doing a great job considering the accommodation fee. The flowing onsen bath is also superb, and the room is sophisticated. My friend was thrilled with the comfort of the bed. I often visit Kirishima Onsen, so I would like to use it again.

    Onsen Facility

    Hello. Thank you for allowing me to stay the other day. I was able to spend a relaxing time. However, there was one disappointing thing that I would like to share here. When I used the onsen, there was a family with small children. The children were playing by floating or throwing all the small buckets used in the bath into the bathtub. I wanted to enjoy the onsen slowly, but I was disappointed to see such a scene continue. I understand that it is not the responsibility of the hotel, but it was disappointing to witness such a situation at a luxury hotel like Sheraton.

    It was very beautifu...

    It was very beautiful. The large public bath was also nice. However, the changing room is small, so you may have to wait to change clothes depending on the time.

    Made our stay in Kagoshima the best.

    I was upgraded to the Club Floor, and it made for a very pleasant stay. The Room, Club Lounge, Facility, and spa were all excellent, and I was very satisfied. The train station was right in front, making the round trip to Tenmonkan-dori very convenient, thanks to the detailed guidance from the front desk staff. I felt a bit sorry for possibly staining the white wood parts in the sauna with my sweat, so it would be even better if there were mats laid out. Also, having a 12-minute clock would be much appreciated.

    Onsen

    The view from the room was soothing. The windows can be opened, allowing for a leisurely time in the room. The Onsen had excellent water quality, and the amenities were perfect. As expected from Sheraton.

    It was comfortable.

    I stayed here last year as well, and the Room was just as clean and comfortable as before. This year, I also used the restaurant, and the moderate sense of distance was comfortable.

    I would like a little more attention to be paid to breakfast.

    The room was clean and the Onsen was satisfying, but the breakfast (buffet) was disappointing. I wish there was a bit more consideration and it would have been nice to enjoy local specialties. For example, since it's Kagoshima, it would be great to have a taste comparison of braised pork or Satsuma-age. Regarding the lack of consideration, I expected hot miso soup, but it was lukewarm and disappointing. The coffee was hot, but it had a bitter taste as if it had been overcooked, which was unfortunate.

    I suddenly needed a ...

    I suddenly needed a Multiple Night Stay and was looking for a Hotel, and ended up staying at the Sheraton. I had stayed there before, and with a sophisticated Room and Onsen, I slept very well. The person in charge at check-in made a billing mistake even though I had already paid by credit card. Mistakes can happen to anyone, but I was concerned that there was no apology. It is a good Hotel that I would like to stay at again. The parking lot is inconveniently located and 1500 yen is expensive. On rainy days, you have to walk to the parking lot with an umbrella. I wish it were a little cheaper.

    First time using. Although it was a plan that included breakfast and parking fees, there was an incorrect charge for parking at check-in, and no explanation about breakfast at all. There was an explanation sheet about breakfast in the room, but it was impossible to know until I searched for it. Just a word would have been enough... Since my child was small, I ordered room service. I was satisfied with the content, but it would have been nice if the main dish, pork cutlet, was warm. There were no complaints about the Onsen or the room.

    I stayed at the Sheraton, which I wanted to try, since I went to Kagoshima.

    I went to Kagoshima and wanted to try staying at the new Sheraton, so I reserved a club floor room. First, I was taken to the club lounge, but I had something I wanted to put in the refrigerator, so I returned to the room. However, my luggage had not yet arrived, and after waiting for a while, I called to request my luggage as I didn't want to waste time. After the luggage arrived, I unloaded it from the car, parked the car, checked in at the lounge, and then returned to the room, which took quite a while for the luggage to arrive. I think it was just a busy time. The lounge snacks were quite ordinary. It would have been nice to have some Kagoshima-specific ingredients. The bath was a regular, somewhat small bath. There were many people there, so it felt a bit cramped. The room was convenient, and the flow from the position of the sink, toilet, and bath to the bed was easy. I had breakfast at the restaurant, and it was very good. I was satisfied with both the variety and taste.

    Breakfast is

    The guest room, service, equipment, and Facility were very satisfactory. The view from the lounge and the variety of snacks were also good. At check-in, I requested the breakfast venue to be Daily Social, but was told that only the club lounge was available, and although I had breakfast there, the variety was indeed limited. Everything except breakfast was satisfactory. It was a bit far from the parking lot.

    It was a repeat visit after about half a year. The last time left a very good impression, so this time there were many disappointments. The Room and amenities are appropriate for the price, with no particular issues, but I think it would be nice to have a small washbasin or bucket in the Room's bath. Also, the content of the meal (Daily Social) was disappointing with fewer menu options than before. I think there are customers who come for the fair, but despite the menu using local specialties, there are curries, stews, and gratins lined up, and it seems there is no variety... Also, the rice is not tasty at all. Given the region, I didn't expect much, but when the rice isn't good, it doesn't make the meal enjoyable. Additionally, it seemed like the variety of juices had decreased... (Guava juice was gone) I used both the night and morning buffets, but overall, they lacked volume and didn't feel worth the price. If possible, I would like to eat a lot of fresh Kagoshima specialties (such as raw bonito or kibinago sashimi bowls). Also, I wonder if the staff has changed quite a bit? It might be due to regional characteristics, but I felt a relaxed atmosphere here and there from the moment I entered the Hotel.

    This is the place to stay in Kagoshima.

    It is a hotel that embodies the stylish and sophisticated nature of a high-end brand. However, the price range is reasonably set. There is a hot spring, and the food is delicious, so I can recommend this hotel to anyone.

    The Sheraton

    A world-standard hotel in Kagoshima. It doesn't have the grandeur of Shiroyama Hotel, but it feels like a Sheraton standard. This time, I stayed in a club room on the 17th floor with a room offering a direct view of Sakurajima, and the scenery was very nice. I used the club lounge, but it wasn't particularly impressive. Alcohol is served after 7 PM. I didn't use the restaurant (it's quite pricey), but I had a buffet breakfast included in the plan. It was ordinary. The club room was supposed to have breakfast in the club lounge, but for some reason, it was in the dining room on the 4th floor. The biggest drawback is that there is no directly connected parking lot, so you have to park in a multi-story parking lot of some hospital (which is very crowded), take the elevator up and down, and walk outside to finally reach the hotel. I got wet in the rain. Other than that, it's a comfortable hotel. Access to the city is also very convenient as there is a tram stop right in front.

    The room is nice, but

    What I was told could be done at the reception was flatly refused after checkout. I understand if something can't be done, but I feel there could have been a better way to say it. I really liked the room and other aspects, so I am truly disappointed.

    I stayed for two nig...

    I stayed for two nights at the end of September 2024. I booked two rooms through Ikkyu, and when I expressed my preference at check-in, they changed both rooms to twin beds from king beds. The large public bath was clean, and towels and water were provided. The hotel's breakfast buffet was well-stocked. What I liked the most was the room; since it was newly opened, it was clean, simple, sharp, modern, and very comfortable. It was also nice that the toilet and shower bath were separate. Having a 7-Eleven nearby was convenient. Highly recommended!

    My first time in Kagoshima

    Since it was my first time in Kagoshima for a private trip, I made various travel plans with the intention of staying at the recently opened Sheraton. The room was new and functional, and I was very satisfied. The hotel had a hot spring, as well as a foot bath and beds for a little rest, allowing me to relax. On the day of arrival, I also used the spa to relieve my usual fatigue. This time, I only used the breakfast, café, and Japanese restaurant, but next time I visit, I would like to try the main dining and bar as well. Thank you for promptly responding and adjusting to my various requests. I was able to relax greatly and had a comfortable time. If possible, I would like to visit again in the near future.
