    Make the most of a fulfilling summer day!

    Due to Typhoon No. 13 and the Kumamoto earthquakes, our schedule was delayed by a few days, and we finally arrived in Kagoshima. Although we arrived at the Hotel early, we were able to enter our Room ahead of time, which was a great help after the long journey. After 3:00 p.m., we could also enjoy the Onsen and refresh right away! The high-ceilinged Room was clean and spacious, so we could relax well and fully enjoy the next morning’s Onsen and a satisfying breakfast.

    I was satisfied.

    I stayed for two nights on July 26 and 27.\nThey delivered the suitcase I had sent to my Room, and the elevator took me to my floor just by tapping the card key, so there was nothing inconvenient.\nThe only issue was that I couldn’t sign up for the morning service via the QR code.\nHowever, once I contacted staff, I was able to place an order right away.\nI also appreciated having a washing area in the bathroom—it was nice to relax in the bathtub.

    We were able to show our appreciation to our parents in a Room with a view of Sakurajima.

    I stayed for two nights with my elderly father. He seemed to love the sofa by the window with a great view of Sakurajima, and spent most of his time looking outside. We had dinner both nights at Satsumaguma inside the Hotel. As my father’s appetite has been declining, we truly appreciated that you prepared some of his favorite dishes for him. The Room and Facility were clean, and if we have a chance to visit Kagoshima again, we would like to stay with you. If I could share one request, it would be laundry service. We missed the 9:00 a.m. cutoff for requesting laundry, and there was no Facility for doing our own washing, which is why I rated it slightly lower.

    Choosing the Club Room was the right decision.

    As it’s a Marriott, the Room had the familiar Marriott style as always—just as expected. The weather was bad and I didn’t feel like going out much, so I was really glad I could have dinner in the lounge. The foot bath was also great. I’d like to visit again. Thank you very much.

    I love Kagoshima! A Sakurajima view from my beloved Sheraton Kagoshima! Relaxing in the Onsen made this a wonderful trip for both body and mind. Thank you very much for your hospitality!

    A long-awaited stay

    My wish to stay here since it opened has finally come true. Overall, I was able to relax deeply and take things at an unhurried pace, which was wonderful for me. The Onsen was more than sufficient. However, there was no lock at the indoor slipper storage area by the entrance, and someone mistakenly took my slippers, which caused a bit of trouble (laugh). I feel it would be even better if this could be addressed in the future. Overall, it was a wonderful stay. Thank you very much.

    A Wonderful Trip to Sakurajima and the Sheraton (Onsen)

    Thank you very much for everything! We fully enjoyed the dynamic views of Sakurajima in all kinds of weather (sunny, cloudy, and rainy), and had a comfortable stay with the staff’s warm hospitality that made our trip truly enjoyable. A stay in Sakurajima wouldn’t be complete without Sheraton Kagoshima Hotel! We look forward to staying with you again.

    Check-in

    Check-in for Marriott members seems to take a very long time. I’m not a member, so I ended up waiting for ages. The lobby staff’s guidance didn’t quite match what was being said either—perhaps they were staff assigned for inbound guests. That aside, the shuttle bus runs frequently to Kagoshima-Chuo Station, and the tram stop and bus stop are nearby. It’s so convenient that you hardly notice the distance from the station. This is a wonderful Hotel with great facilities and comfortable living spaces. The Onsen and meals are also very appealing. Next time I stay, I think it won’t be an issue if I check in later.

    We were extremely satisfied!

    We stayed as a family of three, including our 3-year-old son. From the shuttle bus driver to the front desk and all staff members, everyone provided courteous service, and we had a very comfortable stay. Our Room had a city view, but since it was on a high floor we still enjoyed the scenery even without seeing Sakurajima. Next time, I’d love to stay in a Sakurajima-view Room! At the dinner buffet, each dish had allergy information displayed. Just to be safe, we informed a staff member about our son’s allergies, and they checked for us and even came to our table to let us know. Thanks to that, we felt at ease and our son could enjoy his meal. The Onsen was also not crowded—maybe because of the time we went—so we could relax and soak slowly. Since everyday life is usually filled with housework, childcare, and work, this was an amazing stay where we could truly unwind. We would love to stay again. Thank you very much for such a wonderful time!!

    Kagoshima is always here.

    Whenever I visit Kagoshima, I always stay at this Accommodation. The tram stop is right in front, and there’s a hospital next door as well as a supermarket. There’s also a river nearby; in spring the cherry blossoms are in full bloom and it’s great for a walk. It stands out from other hotels. If I had to ask for more, it’s disappointing that you can’t see Sakurajima from the bath. The food is quite good too. It doesn’t compare to Shiroyama Hotel Kagoshima, but the buffet was just right for me. I made a Reservation for afternoon tea because it looked cute, but many people seemed to leave quite a bit. I think the savory selection could use some improvement. It was also disappointing that the fruit wasn’t very fresh (not freshly cut). For sweets, the café on the first floor is more than enough.

    Everything was wonderful.

    I stayed on the Club Lounge Plan because I wanted to work remotely before check-in. The service was excellent, and the Room and the Onsen were both wonderful—everything was perfect!

    The view of Sakurajima from the room is amazing!

    The view of Sakurajima from our room became an unforgettable memory. We were overwhelmed by its grandeur and the ever-changing volcanic plume. The view from the lounge was also stunning, and we enjoyed a truly elegant moment.

    We had a very pleasant stay.

    It was disappointing that the staff at the drop-off area were not very helpful when we arrived, including guidance to the parking lot. However, the atmosphere was pleasant and we were able to enjoy our stay comfortably. It would be even better if there were facial soap in the bath area. The lockers in the bath area were a bit difficult to use.

    The breakfast buffet...

    The breakfast buffet was delicious, but otherwise it felt in line with the price. The Onsen Facility capacity did not seem sufficient for the number of guest rooms, and on days with many families, it may be difficult to use.

    A new, clean, and comfortable stay

    I stayed here on my first trip to Kagoshima. Access is convenient, with a shuttle bus from Kagoshima-Chuo and a streetcar stop right in front. The Hotel is still new, and although the lobby is compact, it was very lovely. There were many other guests during my stay, so I couldn’t get a Room on the Sakurajima side, which was disappointing, but the Room was very clean and I had a comfortable stay. One thing: the club lounge was extremely crowded and I ended up on a waiting list, which was disappointing. I understand this may be unavoidable during evening service, but even breakfast—where I arrived early expecting crowds—still required waiting. In the end it was about a 15-minute wait so it didn’t affect my plans afterward, but it still came as an unpleasant surprise. When I asked whether there were any alternatives for breakfast, I was told they could direct me to breakfast on another floor for an additional fee, which left me with mixed feelings. I understand it’s peak season, but if you’re in a hurry you may want to be mindful of this. Other than that, the Onsen was clean and made for a comfortable stay. Above all, the staff provided courteous service. I asked a café staff member to take photos for us and they responded warmly and kindly—it became a great memory. I would like to visit again.     Sophisticated

    It was very stylish and wonderful. However, our luggage took quite a while to arrive, and there were a few moments that made us wonder if things are still new for the team... We’re looking forward to improvements next time.

    A Hotel Full of Hospitality

    It was a Hotel that truly lived up to the Sheraton name. The staff’s service was excellent, and I had a very pleasant stay. I arrived before check-in, and I appreciated being allowed to use the lounge until my Room was ready. If I had to be picky, it would have been perfect with a few more snacks in the lounge, and it was disappointing that tables were not cleared well and glasses were left out. I also noticed that the air conditioner remote in the Room was small and the text was hard to read. Overall, it was a good Hotel. I would like to stay here again when I visit Kagoshima.

    This was my first st...

    This was my first stay. The front desk staff member was still in training, but provided very courteous and thorough explanations. I was also very satisfied with the paid upgrade to a Room with a view of Sakurajima. For dinner, I made a Reservation for Satsumaguma by calling the front desk. The phone service was polite, and I was able to book smoothly. Every dish was delicious, and I enjoyed chatting with the chef as well. Compared to when I visited for a meal shortly after opening, it felt like the overall service from the staff had improved. It was a stay I would gladly recommend to friends and acquaintances.

    This is a very good Hotel.

    First, thank you for helping me resolve my mistake with my Reservation. Although it is a foreign-owned Hotel, the hospitality is truly first-class, making it an excellent Hotel. From the Onsen you cannot see Sakurajima, but the water quality is great and everything is very clean. In Kagoshima I often stay at long-established Hotels, but I feel the Room comfort at Sheraton is better. I would definitely like to stay again.

    What You Look for in a Lounge

    It was new and spotless, and my expectations rose the moment I walked in. Everything was impeccably clean, and the interior felt high quality throughout. I think it’s a Hotel where you can truly enjoy your stay. However, during cocktail time the club lounge felt crowded despite its size and number of seats, and it didn’t have an atmosphere where you could spend quiet time. The staff were extremely busy but still provided pleasant service; even so, it felt over capacity. Since I was able to stay at a relatively reasonable price, this may be unavoidable when considering the balance between pricing and the number of rooms sold, but more than the level of food and drinks, I expect a lounge to be a calm and relaxing space.

    So comfortable, as always!!

    I became a big fan of Sheraton Kagoshima after my last stay, and this time was just as comfortable. This trip was all about work, so it was basically just a place to sleep, but since I stayed in a Deluxe Room, the Room was spacious enough. Plus, the furnishings made it feel a little luxurious, so I’d like to stay here again next time.

    Kagoshima Trip

    It was a very clean Hotel, and the Room was wonderful. We chose this Hotel because it was new and spotless, and because it offers a view of Sakurajima. Sakurajima felt even closer and more impressive than we had imagined, and even my husband—who rarely shows much emotion—was happily taking photos.\n\nOn a rainy day, we borrowed an umbrella from the Hotel, but it broke in the extremely strong wind. When I told the doorman as I returned it, he replied, “Were you hurt?” I was truly moved by such thoughtful care.\n\nI would definitely like to stay here again.

    I always stay at this Hotel in Kagoshima.

    Room service was as satisfying as the Reviews suggested, and I used it at night and in the morning. The pork cutlet at dinner was especially delicious. However, the side dishes and fruit were the same both night and morning, so I would have been even happier with a bit more variety. Breakfast didn’t particularly impress me. The Shuttle Service bus is convenient when using it from arriving flights, but after getting off the Shinkansen you need to walk a bit to the pickup point, which felt slightly inconvenient. It would be easier to use if there were also a Shuttle Service stop at the Shinkansen exit. I used the 1st-floor café for the first time; the staff were kind, and although there weren’t many items, the food was tasty and the cake was excellent. I’d like to use it again. I always look forward to the 4th-floor restaurant; there’s a wide selection and everything tastes great. This time it was a collaboration featuring Nordic cuisine, but personally I prefer a menu with more Kagoshima dishes. As for the sauna, I was concerned about how safe it felt due to the door design (a door with a knob), so I chose not to use it this time. I would appreciate improvements so guests can use it with peace of mind.

    The Day Before the Marathon

    This was my first time staying at the Sheraton Hotel in Kagoshima, and as you can tell from its location, the views were outstanding. The Hotel lounge also had a calm atmosphere, was spacious, and I think you can relax there comfortably. We had dinner on the 4th floor. In addition to the set course, we ordered three to four à la carte dishes, and they even prepared an off-menu item for us. The staff were very attentive as well. The Room lighting was relatively bright—not dim at all—so we stayed very comfortably. The Accommodation Fee for the day before the marathon was very reasonable, and unlike other hotels it wasn’t raised to an event-rate price; that alone shows how considerate they are. I highly recommend this Hotel to anyone who wants to see Sakurajima up close. I’m confident you’ll feel it’s well worth staying here. I’d love to stay again.

    Excellent value for money.

    I was extremely satisfied with the guest Room, amenities, and service. I almost felt sorry that I could stay at this Hotel for this price. (But please don’t raise the rates—I’ll be back.) Sakurajima appears right in front of you from the Room (though some Rooms do not have a view). With high ceilings, a spacious 35 m² layout, two double beds, and a large bathtub plus separate washing area, the Room was very comfortable. I would definitely like to stay again. The Onsen (public bath) is on the smaller side for a Hotel of this size, so it gets crowded unless you choose your time carefully. The “vacant” indicator on the lockers is small and hard to see. There were clear posted instructions, so we managed. On the map it looks a bit away from the main downtown area, but that also makes it quiet. We could get to Tenmonkan easily by taking the streetcar right in front of the Hotel. The front desk and bell staff were very kind and left a great impression. Next time I’d like to try dining as well.

    An unforgettable view of Sakurajima from the club lounge

    I had been interested in this Hotel since it opened and was determined to stay here, and it exceeded my expectations—I was extremely satisfied. In particular, the view of Sakurajima from the club lounge is something I’m sure I’ll remember for a lifetime. The large public bath also featured an open-air bath and a sauna despite being in a Hotel, which helped me recover from travel fatigue. What’s more, the breakfast bread selection was carefully curated, and as a bread lover, it was the best I’ve ever had. It was perfect for a reward trip for us as a couple.

    I was assigned a corner Room with a view of Sakurajima—an absolutely breathtaking panorama. The front desk and all the staff were kind, and it made me want to stay again. The cakes at the café on the first floor were also delicious, so I recommend them. However, it was my first time experiencing almost no conditioner coming out in the Room. Only a tiny amount came out, as if it was nearly empty, so I had to finish my shower with my hair still rough and tangled. (I thought the next guest would have trouble as well,) so I called to report it right away, but there was no follow-up comment about it the next day. Since I was able to stay at a reasonable rate this time, I’ll take it as is.
