    About Noise

    The Hotel itself was very nice, but while I was enjoying a drink in the lobby (which also serves as a bar) at night, some Chinese guests were being very loud and disruptive, seemingly drunk, without regard for others around them. It ruined the atmosphere. I felt that Hotel staff should have intervened in such situations, which left me feeling uncomfortable. Additionally, some guests wore outdoor slippers into the women's bath area (I pointed it out to them), showing a lack of manners.

    I won't go into details as I already informed the Hotel, but there were two very unpleasant incidents upon departure. If the ending is bad, everything feels ruined. Perhaps there's a general lack of staff?

    Awareness

    The disappointing aspect was the dining experience. It wasn't about the taste or content, but rather a lack of attentiveness in overall service. Despite being aware of guests waiting at reception, no one addressed them and they were left unattended. The time between dishes was excessively long. Taking two hours for a five-course Italian meal leaves guests feeling full midway through. The Room temperature was too cold—was it set based on staff activity levels? Delicious drinks and food were ruined by these issues. It's truly disappointing.

    A beautiful Hotel with lovely interiors.

    The interior is very stylish and clean, making for a comfortable stay. The parking lot is spacious, so even if you arrive late at night, there’s no issue. Breakfast offers a wide variety of delicious options. The large public bath is also clean and has spacious tubs, allowing for a relaxing experience.

    Repeat from last year

    During our Multiple Night Stay, the dinner we had at KAGARIBI on the night before our final day was exceptionally memorable and delicious. The breakfast, which I thought might become repetitive over consecutive days, was consistently delightful, with the freshness of the vegetables being particularly satisfying. The friendly smiles and kind words from the restaurant staff were also very comforting. When I opened the Room window early in the morning, I could hear birds like woodpeckers and Daurian redstarts singing, which made me appreciate Karuizawa's nature once again. Among my several trips to Karuizawa each year, staying at this Hotel has become a tradition for us. We look forward to visiting again. Thank you very much!

    Sophisticated and Charming Karuizawa!

    A sophisticated yet welcoming Hotel with refined architecture, on-site Facilities, and room furnishings. The staff's smiles and service are impeccable. The restaurant offers stylish and delicious dinner and breakfast (buffet) made with local ingredients! While the classic charm of Karuizawa is wonderful, this stay provided a modern and refined Karuizawa experience. Not only would I love to visit again, but I also highly recommend this Hotel!

    The accommodation was not worth the 100,000 yen cost.

    I stayed at the riverside accommodation, but it was far from the reception and SPA. It took more than 5 minutes to get there. Moreover, we had to find our way on our own after check-in, which caused some confusion initially. The room was small with a single-person sofa, and the refrigerator items were all chargeable. There were spider webs on the balcony chairs, giving an impression that it hadn't been cleaned properly. The bedding was a thick down comforter, making it difficult to adjust with the air conditioning; I ended up using a bath towel for sleeping instead. The open-air bath was covered by a roof and lacked an authentic open-air feel. Overall, it was very disappointing and not worth the 100,000 yen paid; I could only justify it considering the timing and location costs. I don't think I'll visit again. That said, both the Italian dinner and breakfast buffet were delicious and enjoyable.

    Stay Surrounded by the Nature of South Karuizawa

    The breakfast buffet venue tends to get crowded, but the staff's sincere and dedicated service left a very positive impression. Compared to luxury hotels in Tokyo, the service at the breakfast venue here was particularly excellent. I stayed at the same Hotel for 4 nights during the first half of Obon and never got bored. The room amenities are minimal, so it is essential to bring your own daily necessities. Additionally, due to the location, there are limited dining options nearby without a Reservation in the evening, so please be aware of this. Even so, I would love to stay for a week on my next visit!

    I had a pleasant stay.

    I stayed for two nights with breakfast included. The Room was spacious and clean, allowing me to relax comfortably. The public bath was so enjoyable that I ended up not using the view bath in the Room. The breakfast buffet, featuring local ingredients, was of a very high standard. In general buffets, delays in replenishing dishes or clearing plates can occur when it gets crowded, but I was impressed that there were no such issues here. I believe this is thanks to the excellent attentiveness and care of the staff. The hospitality of all other Hotel staff members was also outstanding, making this a Hotel I would love to revisit if given the chance. Thank you very much!

    Family Trip During Summer Vacation

    Due to the intense heat in Tokyo, we decided to take a family trip for the first time in a while. Anticipating heavy traffic during the three-day weekend, we departed early in the morning and arrived by mid-morning. Since we have a child with severe disabilities, our Room was promptly prepared, and check-in went smoothly. During our stay, we received attentive support and were able to leave satisfied. Next time, we are considering enjoying late autumn in Karuizawa as a couple.

    It was a comfortable Hotel.

    I stayed with my wife and had a wonderful experience. The breeze and greenery felt from the balcony chair were incredibly soothing and relaxing. The front desk, premises, Room, and large public bath were all impeccably clean. The window-side seat we had for breakfast was comfortable, offering a lovely view outside and a charming restaurant atmosphere. The buffet featured an abundance of Nagano-grown vegetables, all delicious, with the French toast being my personal favorite. My wife mentioned that the spa she used had excellent service and skilled staff. As for the bath rating of 4 stars: I found the shower in the Room's bathroom inconvenient as it faced directly forward. Everything else deserves 5 stars! It was a refreshing escape from our busy daily lives, and we would love to stay again!

    It was comfortable!

    Amazing! A very comfortable Hotel that made our trip enjoyable. From the moment we arrived at the Hotel to entering our Room, the staff were kind and attentive. The Room was clean and stylish. The view of green trees from the window and relaxing on the balcony with a cool breeze while enjoying coffee and reading a book was delightful. The breakfast buffet was delicious, and we enjoyed it thoroughly during both nights of our stay. The public bath was also clean and well-maintained, with pastel-colored cube-shaped chairs adding a cute touch. After returning home, I realized I had forgotten something, but upon contacting them, they delivered it via courier by the next day. It was truly a wonderful Hotel!

    Well,

    Check-in at night was smooth. The guidance was simplified and there were no issues, but it was disappointing that amenities and straws for children were not provided despite knowing small children would be staying. It was unclear which drinks were free or paid. The cleanliness and Facility were good, and the Room was not small. For breakfast, we had to line up without any reception guidance, resulting in being overtaken by others who arrived later, which caused significant dissatisfaction. It felt too disorganized. If staff are unavailable, they should provide a system where guests write their room numbers on paper and are guided in order of arrival properly. This aspect was very disappointing with a lack of consideration. The food itself was delicious. I visit Karuizawa once every three years, but due to the above reasons, I don't think I will return here again.

    Staff Quality

    The facility is very clean and matches the atmosphere of Karuizawa. The hotel features a particularly large open-air bath, with comfortable and non-cold chairs in the washing area. However, there were many Chinese guests, and their lack of manners was concerning. Additionally, the staff seemed inexperienced, which affected the quality of service. I made an Online Credit Card Payment through IKYU.com, but it was not reflected in your system. When I paid at the front desk, I was charged again. This is a serious issue. Is the Online Credit Card Payment through IKYU properly reflected on your side?

    I want to stay here again.

    Stayed for 2 nights with breakfast included. The Western-style breakfast deserves 5 stars, while the Japanese-style gets 3 stars in my personal opinion. The fresh vegetables, dressings, juices, and more were delicious and satisfying in volume. The pizza and pasta we had for dinner on the second day were exceptional. With IKYU Diamond benefits, alcohol was also complimentary, making it a great deal. The room was a twin. Unfortunately, the chair in the room was only for one person, which made dining inside inconvenient. As for the public bath area, I found the chairs disappointing—they were cute cube-shaped rubber ones but slippery and heavy to use comfortably. I used the spa services as well; everything felt luxurious and high-end, with an excellent massage experience. It’s a hotel I’d love to stay at again!

    I had a relaxing time.

    It has been exactly two years since our last visit for our wedding anniversary. We had such a wonderful time back then that we decided this would be our go-to accommodation in Karuizawa. Once again, the hospitality was excellent, and every facility was well-maintained and clean, allowing us to enjoy a relaxing and pleasant stay. We are extremely satisfied. We made a reservation with breakfast included and enjoyed a variety of colorful Shinshu vegetables. The Le Creuset cookware added charm, making it a bright and cheerful start to the day. We definitely look forward to staying here again in the future!

    Fresh Greenery in Karuizawa

    During the fresh green season, despite the unfortunate weather, I was able to relax and enjoy my stay. Both the large public bath and the private indoor bath were well-designed and comfortable. I would love to stay here again on my next visit to Karuizawa.

    I had a great time.

    This is my second stay. Thank you for your hospitality. This time, I appreciated being guided to the Room upon check-in. It seems there are no vending machines or ice here. The bathroom sink drained slowly, which was unpleasant. The atmosphere of the Room and the staff's service were good. On holidays, it seems quite crowded with many guests, and breakfast can get busy unless you go early. For those seeking a quiet and relaxing stay, it might not be ideal. I may return if I have another opportunity.

    We stayed the night ...

    We stayed the night before our wedding and rented out the hotel's restaurant. The hotel staff, restaurant staff, and all other staff members were incredibly attentive and provided exceptional hospitality. It was a wonderful Hotel experience. We would love to stay again.     I would like to leave a review as I still feel unsettled about this experience. During dinner, the first dish took an excessively long time to arrive, so I spoke to the receptionist. It was served 40 minutes after the reserved time. I remember clearly because it was so delayed that I kept checking my watch. The only proper apology came from the staff member who served the first dish. Since I saw him bring it out immediately after it left the kitchen, he shouldn't be at fault for this delay. On our way out after dinner, we politely said thank you and left; however, at breakfast reception the next morning, in front of other guests and my companion, we were loudly told that we hadn't signed for last night's additional wine charge. It was extremely embarrassing. Of course, we are willing to pay for what we ordered and sign if necessary. For a place in this price range, this experience was very disappointing. Thank you very much anyway.

    A Hotel I would like to stay at again.

    When I commented on choosing Indigo during the reservation, I received a thank-you at check-in and had a pleasant conversation. Most hotels tend to overlook such details, so it felt warm and made me happy. Thank you to the staff who have been there since the hotel's opening! There was also a welcome drink, and upon entering the room, I found welcome sweets and a handwritten message, which made me feel very appreciated. The balcony allowed me to enjoy natural scenery comfortably. The room's ceiling height felt slightly higher than usual, giving an open and spacious atmosphere. The TV offered access to Netflix if subscribed; for those without subscriptions, YouTube or AbemaTV was available. The large public bath had an elegant atmosphere unique to this hotel—highly recommended. Although there was mention of free morning newspapers, none were provided. As for the coffee machine in the room, it initially only dispensed hot water or coffee concentrate inconsistently; however, staff promptly resolved this issue. It was truly a wonderful hotel that makes me want to stay again. Thank you!

    A truly wonderful Hotel

    I stayed for the first time with a 28-hour stay plan that included breakfast. I often have to give up using the hotel's spa due to time constraints, but thanks to the 28-hour stay plan here, I was able to make a reservation and use it without worrying about time. The breakfast was very satisfying with a wide variety of options, and the egg dishes were especially delicious. The staff were very kind and made me feel at ease. The squirrel mascot character was so cute that I wished there had been some merchandise available for purchase.

    I had a comfortable stay.

    I stayed at this accommodation during the latter half of Golden Week (the first half was at a P-chain hotel) and had a comfortable experience until the very end. The taxi reservation process was smooth, and after requesting it, I received a prompt response saying, "We will make the reservation for you," which allowed me to relax without any worries. Some hotels respond with "We'll check and get back to you," which can be inconvenient. However, here they assured me with a smile and an attitude of "Leave it to us," which was very reassuring. The staff at the front desk, restaurant, and cleaning team were all pleasant and professional. The meals at the restaurant were delicious (especially the vegetables). If I may make one request, adding more variety or changes to the menu would be appreciated. Since I plan to stay for 7 nights in summer, it would be great if this could be improved by then so that I can enjoy dining there every day. I also used the gym for stretching before and after golf but felt that having more space would make it more comfortable. Even early in the morning when I used it, there were quite a few people utilizing it. Overall, I think this is an excellent hotel. Above all else, since it's new, those who are particular about water facilities will find it very comfortable here.

    This was my first st...

    This was my first stay, and I stayed for two nights. The staff greeted me warmly every time we passed by, which left a great impression. The cleanliness was excellent, and the meals were delicious. I enjoyed shopping at the outlet mall and spending a relaxing time here. My family also loved it, and we would like to stay again.

    Hotel surrounded by trees

    The firepit at the entrance is eye-catching, and the scent of burning wood greeted us during check-in. After receiving an explanation about the Hotel's Facility, we arrived at our Room. The Room's natural interior with blue accents was charming. However, the balcony was narrow, and conversations from neighboring Rooms were audible, so we returned inside. The shower stand was firmly fixed and could not be adjusted in height even by my husband. The paper bottle of water provided was approximately 750ml; after using it for coffee, it ran out by night and into the next morning. When I called to inquire about refills, a staff member kindly brought more water directly to us. It would have been better if two bottles were provided initially or if a vending machine had been available. The toilet seat's sound function was unpleasantly loud each time it operated, which detracted from comfort. Additionally, there was no ice machine available. The changing area in the spa’s large public bath Facility was clean and well-maintained. However, the chairs in the bath area resembled cube cushions that sank when sat on and did not drain water well. The outdoor bath design featured walls and a roof that completely blocked any view of the night sky—a disappointing aspect. Dinner at Kagaribi included delicious wood-fired pizza paired with a good selection of wines—an enjoyable experience overall! While there seemed to be enough staff members present throughout our stay, there appeared to be an imbalance between busy staff members and those who seemed less occupied.

    The building is great, but the meals...

    The facility is relatively new, having been open for less than three years, and features such as the large public bath and garden are particularly impressive. However, perhaps due to the Golden Week period, dinner was served buffet-style with neighboring tables very close by, making it less conducive to enjoying a relaxed meal. A buffet of pizza and pasta for dinner felt somewhat out of place. The balance between the facility and dining experience seemed off, leaving little desire for a return visit.

    Repeat stay.

    It feels like the perfect Resort Hotel, and I love how easy it is to visit. The breakfast offers a good balance of Japanese and Western options, which I enjoy. The convenience of direct access from the parking lot is also great.
