    Five-star hospitality

    With my work plans during the Obon holidays wrapped up, I checked the weather and temperature and made a last-minute Reservation in Izu. I chose this place for the following reasons: - In-room open-air bath - A small number of guest Rooms - Delicious meals - Relaxing, comfortable atmosphere where you can stay longer In the end, I was extremely satisfied. The in-room open-air bath had a slightly small tub, and I wished it were a bit larger. However, the private baths—available anytime when not in use—also have a sauna, so I ended up using them again and again and didn’t really miss having an in-room bath. The all-inclusive drinks offered plenty of options even for those who don’t drink alcohol, and both dinner and breakfast were carefully prepared and truly delicious. We could use the karaoke freely, the soba served during bar time was also great, and above all, the hospitality of all the staff made our stay even better. I would definitely like to visit again. Thank you very much.

    We had a relaxing stay.

    The staff’s courteous and attentive service was truly impressive. The meals were absolutely delicious. Seasonal ingredients were beautifully presented, and everything tasted exceptional. There was also a wide selection of drinks, which we enjoyed to suit our mood. The lounge had a wonderful atmosphere, and bar time was fantastic. Even after dinner, we couldn’t resist the tea soba and snacks. We will definitely return.

    Relaxation Time

    With only seven guest parties, this Accommodation offers a relaxed and spacious stay. The Room we stayed in had a living room plus three bedrooms, and meals were served in the living room with heartfelt service. We also enjoyed the spacious indoor bath, where we could unwind and refresh without any worries. Thank you very much. We would love to stay here again next time.

    We really appreciate the Maternity Plan!!

    We stayed here for our wedding anniversary and a babymoon trip. In short, choosing this Accommodation was absolutely the right decision! This time we used the maternity Plan. Since there are very few Accommodations that offer a maternity Plan, the moment I saw the Plan name I thought, “This is it!” and made a Reservation. When we arrived, the staff welcomed us, carried our luggage from the parking lot, and even provided welcome drinks and a thorough explanation—right from the start, their attentiveness was flawless. With only seven Rooms, the property was wonderfully quiet, and everything felt unhurried. The all-inclusive setup—being able to enjoy drinks and light snacks whenever we wanted—was fantastic. During bar time, my wife was thrilled to have non-caffeinated options and non-alcoholic cocktails as well. She even said, “Next time I can drink alcohol again, I definitely want to come back!” (laughs) Our Room was a stylish maisonette with a chic black theme. The open-air bath viewed through the large window—and the forest scenery beyond—was beautiful. We were truly grateful for all the thoughtful touches for my pregnant wife: a large maternity cushion on her bed, extra cushions prepared for her chair at meals, and more. Breakfast and dinner were satisfying beyond what you’d expect at an upscale restaurant. They confirmed in advance what my wife couldn’t eat and adjusted each dish accordingly. It was also fun hearing how it differed from the standard menu. When we mentioned it was our anniversary, they even prepared a lovely fruit platter with dessert at dinner—we were both genuinely moved. We skipped using the in-room open-air bath this time because there were many insects outside, but we thoroughly enjoyed the private bath whenever we liked. The lounge also felt incredibly open thanks to its high ceiling and large windows that let us take in nature. During bar time after dinner, when Häagen-Dazs vanilla ice cream was sold out, one of the staff kindly brought an alternative for us! We expected it would simply end with “Sorry, it’s sold out,” so we were touched by how far they went for us. And after checkout as we drove away by car، staff came outside waving goodbye with their arms raised—it was such wonderful hospitality that made us think، “We’ll definitely come back!” Thank you for such an amazing stay from start to finish! It became our best anniversary and babymoon ever۔ We’ll absolutely return once my wife can enjoy alcohol again!

    The Ultimate Relaxation

    My first Multiple Night Stay in the mountains (forest). Doing nothing during the day—just gazing at the forest with a glass of sparkling wine—was the ultimate relaxation. We were lucky with the weather, which may have been a plus, but I also loved that it’s a small, adults-only Accommodation with a quiet atmosphere. The hot spring water? It was a bit hot, which was the only downside (they lowered it slightly for us). The dried fish at breakfast (horse mackerel and barracuda) was absolutely amazing, and the timing of when it was served was perfect. Next time, I’m torn between UMI and mori.

    It was excellent.

    Thank you again for taking such great care of us. We visit about once a year, and this is truly our favorite Accommodation. We were able to spend a luxurious, completely relaxing time. The meals were very satisfying and we were full, but we still ended up having soba at night as well. It was absolutely delicious—we’re so glad we had it! You also gave us such a warm send-off that it kept us smiling all the way home. We would be happy to visit again. Thank you very much.

    Dinner included a French course with a sashimi plate, and I was worried the Japanese-Western mix might feel half-hearted, but the French dishes were excellent—on-trend, seasonal, and delicious. The sashimi was also exceptionally fresh and surprisingly outstanding as one course item. Service at the restaurant was attentive, and we enjoyed dinner along with the free-flow drinks. The late-night snack of matcha soba came with black rice inari—stylish and far too high-quality to be considered just a light snack. Breakfast was tasty, but it felt like there’s room for improvement. In addition to a rather large chawanmushi with sesame tofu inside, there was also a small tofu side dish, which made it very filling. A more standard menu might have been fine, and while the well-reviewed horse mackerel was good, it felt a bit disappointing compared to grilling over an open flame. The Room and the private sauna-equipped bath had clearly been thoughtfully designed, but there were too many steps/level changes, making them inconvenient to use. We were told we could check private bath availability on our smartphone, but it wasn’t very accurate—sometimes we arrived to find it already in use. It also got crowded before checkout, so we couldn’t use it as freely as hoped and found that stressful. For reference: on the day of check-in, we took a taxi from Ito Station and it cost 4,400 yen.

    We had a relaxing stay.

    This is an Accommodation we had wanted to visit for a long time, but due to my husband’s work we had to cancel many times with great regret; at last, we were able to stay here. We were very satisfied to enjoy a full-course French meal in our Room. It was also great that we could order a late-night snack in our Room. When we left, the three of us as a family decided that we would definitely find time off and come again.

    Even when seats are available, priority is given to parties of two. Unfair seating practices that disadvantage solo guests.

    For many years, I have taken solo trips several times a year, staying one night at Accommodations costing around JPY 50,000–100,000. This stay was the “worst experience I’ve ever had” among all the Accommodations I’ve stayed at. I chose this place because of its high ratings and sale price, but I cannot understand why it is rated so highly. In particular, I felt intense anger about the seating arrangements at the dining venue and the staff’s response. In the lodging and food service industry, there is a deeply rooted unfair disparity where “good seats are prioritized for parties of two, and solo guests can sit on the edge.” However, solo guests—having no conversation—look forward above all to enjoying the view and atmosphere during meals. I have always felt that good seats should be prepared especially for solo guests. This Accommodation’s discriminatory seating policy was especially apparent in its U-shaped dining area with no partitions. The central area with the best view is fixed as two-person seating only, and even when seats are available they stubbornly refuse to let solo guests use them. At breakfast, when I specifically requested “a central seat with a view; it should only require moving place settings,” a staff member (polite in manner) made various excuses and refused “because the setup is different.” Immediately afterward, however, a couple who arrived later was guided to that exact seat—the one I had requested and been denied. There were also multiple other empty seats in the central area. Refusing my request and then deliberately favoring other guests right in front of me goes beyond mere lack of consideration. It could be taken as intentional harassment or unfair treatment causing emotional distress. I felt strong anger at how lightly they treated me as a guest. Their inability to understand what a guest wanted—and their inflexibility and lack of initiative in following a manual even when seats were available—clearly reflects poor customer-service skills and a low level of training at this Accommodation. Moreover, from during my stay through checkout, there was no explanation or apology from the Accommodation regarding this matter. Multiple past Reviews have pointed out similar discriminatory seating practices, yet nothing has been improved. Although this Hotel includes “luxury hotel” or “premier” in its name, the interior lacks taste—it feels mismatched and cheap. Both facilities and service quality are low; it feels like a Business Hotel. I did not sense even slightly any refined atmosphere or service standards worthy of its name as an upscale Accommodation. I have serious distrust toward their disregard for solo guests and toward their overall training policy as an organization. Including affiliated properties under their brand group/chain/series (?), I will never use them again.

    Enjoy a truly relaxing stay for both body and mind.

    The free drinks selection was extensive, and it was hard to choose. Dinner was beautifully presented and very delicious. We chose the boat-platter Plan, and it made a big impression. Even though many places are cutting costs, the Room amenities here were well stocked, which was great. All of the staff were easy to talk to as well. We would love to stay again.

    I felt refreshed.

    The Accommodation’s location, the staff’s attentive service, and the delicious food—everything was truly wonderful and deeply moving. I would definitely like to stay again. Although our visit coincided with severe weather due to two typhoons, they provided road and traffic updates on their website and followed up by phone the day before, so we could travel there with peace of mind. Their thoughtfulness stood out in many ways, such as a wonderful birthday plate for my companion and offering tissues at just the right moment. If I had to mention one drawback, it would be that there are many stairs within the Facility and inside the guest rooms, so it may not suit all guests. Thank you very much for everything!

    It’s the best.

    I had a brief chat with a local resident of Shuzenji whom I met at the large public bath’s open-air Onsen. It was their first time at Asabino. I visit a few times a year, and since I love both the cuisine and the Onsen, I told them I envied those who live nearby. They said that even though people living in Izu don’t often stay close to home, they would come again because the water here keeps you warm for a long time afterward.

    MORI is amazing again on our second stay.

    We visited MORI again as a family of four for the first time in three years. This time it was during the fresh greenery season, and the garden looked even greener from the lobby. When we mentioned this to the staff, they told us they had added new plantings and created a brick border around the symbolic tree, which made for a wonderful, relaxing atmosphere. All of the meals were delicious. We informed you two weeks before our stay that our daughter does not eat squid or shellfish, and we truly appreciated your thoughtful adjustments to her ingredients. The portion sizes were just right for us as a couple in our 60s. Our two children in their 20s each had a full serving of chasoba as a late-night snack, while one serving shared between the two of us was perfect. We also added items such as prosciutto, and naturally ended up enjoying more wine than planned. A new sauna had been installed, and at around 90°C it was very comfortable for us since we are not used to saunas. It was a wonderful time to relax with our two children—now in their third year working—and talk slowly about many things over drinks. All four of us look forward to seeing everyone on your staff again. Thank you very much.

    A luxurious private one-floor retreat—an adults-only hideaway surrounded by forest.

    The Accommodation is about a 10-minute drive from the nearest station, Kawana Station. There is no Shuttle Service at check-in, but if you take a taxi, you can receive cashback of up to JPY 2,500. At check-out, Shuttle Service to Kawana Station is available. The guest Room is spacious and includes three bedrooms; however, since we stayed as a party of two, we used only the main bedroom. The bed had a comfortable firmness and was easy to sleep on. As the Hotel name suggests, the view outside the window opens onto forest scenery; during our stay, the fresh greenery was beautiful and especially memorable. There are no ocean or lake views, but the quiet forest outlook felt truly luxurious. What stood out most in the Room was the large dining room. There is karaoke equipment available and you can use it at almost any time during your stay. The soundproofing is solid, so we could enjoy it without worrying about others. The Wi-Fi was also stable and comfortable. The private Onsen bath in the Room is spacious enough for 3–4 people and can be used whenever you like during your stay. It’s easy to adjust the water temperature, and we were able to relax while looking out at the forest view through the window. The washing area was also wide and easy to use. The lounge is available anytime during your stay, offering drinks such as beer, wine, coffee, and guri tea. Snacks are plentiful as well—mini cup ramen noodles, various snacks, canelés (small French pastries), ice cream, and more were provided. It gets a bit lively around check-in time but remains calm at other times. Dinner is served as a course meal, while breakfast is a Japanese set meal. Platinum Suite guests can enjoy both dinner and breakfast in an exclusive dining room area (in-room dining style), allowing you to dine leisurely without concern for other guests. At dinner time—on top of lounge drinks—champagne local sake selections (regional Japanese sake), cocktails were also offered. One breakfast item that left a strong impression was dried horse mackerel. It was larger than anything I had seen before; lightly salted with tender flesh—it was delicious. The staff were courteous throughout our stay from check-in to check-out with no inconveniences. Most guests seemed to be couples or married pairs. Since children of junior high school age or younger cannot stay there doesn’t appear to be much family use. With an entire floor reserved for private use—a dedicated Onsen in-room dining karaoke facilities extensive drink service this Accommodation offers more than enough enjoyment without ever leaving your Room. Check-out is also at 12:00 p.m., making it an excellent choice for those who want a quiet escape from everyday life or for an anniversary trip.

    Quiet and relaxing.

    We found seven sets of photos taken at dinner that had been kept at home, so this was probably our seventh stay. Each time has been very comfortable, and we plan to come again. All the guests here are quiet, making it a relaxing place to stay.

    Everything was wonderful from the warm welcome to the farewell. As it was all-inclusive, drinks and light snacks were always available, making the stay completely stress-free.     So good you’ll want to keep it a secret.

    After soaking in the Goemon-style outdoor bath in the garden, we enjoyed a relaxed dinner lasting over two hours. The complimentary drinks were delicious as well. This was my second visit, and I’m already looking forward to a third. With only a small number of guests, the hospitality is outstanding. I’ll book again on an affordable weekday rate.

    During the seasonal change, my cough-variant asthma lingered, and I had an attack at the restaurant during dinner. After consulting with the Hotel staff, they kindly brought the rest of my meal to my Room even though I was in the middle of dining. Thank you for your thoughtful care.     A lovely Accommodation in a quiet forest

    We stayed here to celebrate my husband’s 70th birthday. The Room had a living area on the first floor and a bedroom on the second floor. With the open atrium, it felt very spacious. Since the COVID-19 pandemic, we have been staying at Accommodations with an Onsen in the Room. The in-room Onsen was at just the right temperature. Since it is designed for one person, it may be unavoidable, but at many other Onsen Accommodations you can stretch out your legs, so that was a bit disappointing. Because you cannot enter the Onsen directly from the washroom, there was nowhere to place clothes for changing; there was only one hook to hang them on. That was slightly inconvenient. There were also two private baths, and it was convenient that you could immediately see their availability; we were able to use both. Both were very relaxing. At dinner, we had a great view of the forest outside, which enhanced the delicious seafood and mountain cuisine from Izu. Every dish looked wonderful and tasted great, and we ate our fill. To celebrate his 70th birthday, there was a heartwarming service during dinner as well. Because it is all-inclusive, we were able to relax in the lounge and enjoy whatever we liked. Everyone at the Accommodation was very pleasant, and we had a comfortable stay. Thank you for taking such good care of us.

    We stayed in the Platinum Suite, which I had been interested in for some time, to celebrate my husband’s 70th birthday. From arrival to check-out, we had everything we needed and truly enjoyed our stay. The Room was spacious and came equipped with a massage chair and karaoke, and we could enjoy drinks—including alcohol—in the Room whenever we liked. There are also three bedrooms, which was perfect for our family since we prefer to sleep separately. Both breakfast and dinner showed thoughtful attention to even the smallest details, and everything was absolutely delicious. The amenities were so well stocked that there was no need to bring anything with us. In particular, I appreciated being able to choose from different shampoo options; one of them (also sold at the front desk) smelled wonderful and left my hair silky smooth. At the end of our meal, they kindly took a photo for the birthday celebration and presented it to us beautifully mounted the next day—it became a very special keepsake. There was just one small point that concerned me, but I noted it in the questionnaire. Overall, it was a stay that left our whole family completely satisfied. It isn’t an easy price point for a casual visit, but we would definitely like to return. Thank you very much to all the staff who took care of us—we are truly grateful.

    A deer visited the garden!

    I was able to relax and recuperate in a quiet setting within the national park. Although it was unfortunately rainy, the staff’s smiles brightened my mood. I skipped the open-air bath outside the Room, but enjoyed the large indoor public bath many times. The all-inclusive lounge offering is also quite good. Dinner at the restaurant was served at a leisurely pace, and deer came into the illuminated garden outside, which made me smile without thinking. That’s one of the perks of being in the forest. Highly recommended.

    This Accommodation exceeded our expectations in every way—Facility and amenities, meals, Onsen, ease of use, attentive service, and hospitality. It had such high ratings that we were looking forward to it, and it truly delivered a wonderful time and atmosphere. One point mentioned in Reviews—that the sauna and private bath were separate and inconvenient—has now been improved by bringing them together in one area. Their responsiveness is impressive.     Even amid changing circumstances, we can feel the ingenuity and dedication of your staff.

    At check-in, you told us this was your ninth visit. What has never changed since the beginning is the heartfelt hospitality of all the staff. Every time we visit, we feel warmly welcomed. That will never change. On the other hand, over the past five years, the business environment—regardless of industry—has only grown tougher. With costs rising across the board, there must be things you have had to discontinue, new things to introduce, and essentials you have chosen to protect without changing—I can only imagine how challenging it must be to steer an Accommodation through all of this. Even so, we can see thoughtful ingenuity everywhere throughout your property, and I truly admire that what matters most has remained firmly in place despite these difficult times. Back then everything felt almost too generous (laughs), and compared with those days there are certainly some things that are no longer offered; however, even now the experience provided here is more than impressive and definitely makes us want to return again. Thank you very much for taking such good care of us once again. We will be back.

    A Decent Stay

    Both dinner and breakfast were beautifully presented and delicious. The quality of the snacks on the lobby floor was good. Because it is all-inclusive, it was a hassle to choose and order wine repeatedly during meals. I would have preferred a chef’s choice pairing for each course. If I may be picky, guests dine together in the dining room, but depending on the table location—by the window or by the wall—there is a difference. Our table was blocked by a large wall, so we couldn’t see the garden and it felt closed in. Breakfast was at the same table. If tables could be rotated between dinner and breakfast, it would be less stressful. I hesitated between choosing Kaze no Kaori “umi” or “mori.” The reason is that in both, the shower room and open-air bath are separated. In the end, we chose the maisonette-type “mori.” In the maisonette type Room, the toilet, washbasin area, and shower booth are combined into one small space. The open-air bath tub is small, and you can’t stretch your legs inside it. I don’t think larger people could fit comfortably. Overall: The staff hospitality is excellent. The garden and Room cleaning are good. The Room’s water-related Facility areas are cramped and inconvenient to use. Without a car you can’t really go anywhere, so this Accommodation is best for staying in (a secluded getaway).

    For my mother’s 70th birthday celebration.

    Thank you very much for taking such great care of us. As this stay was to celebrate my mother’s 70th birthday, we consulted with you in advance about flowers and a cake. You responded so thoughtfully and even suggested options that balanced cost and presentation, which was incredibly helpful. We had been looking forward to our stay, and since we were a larger group, we chose the one-floor private suite. With a spacious living area like a lobby and separate private Rooms for each of us, it felt truly luxurious—we all got excited and ended up doing our own little room tour. Amenities were fully stocked in each Room as well as in the bath area, and it was especially convenient not having to bring bath towels with us to the bath. The meals were excellent both visually and in taste, and the special “Chef’s Dish” presentation added an exciting touch. What impressed me personally was that while it’s all-inclusive (including alcohol), the selection changes between mealtimes and more casual hours. There was an extensive lineup—champagne, white/red wine, sake, cocktails—carefully suited to dining and adding an extra sense of occasion. Since our family enjoys drinking, we were delighted to enjoy food-and-drink pairings throughout the experience. We also really appreciated that each drink was served individually. For the most important moment—my mother’s celebration—you prepared a beautifully presented dessert, and even surprised us with a traditional happi coat for her 70th birthday. She was truly moved and said it became a wonderful memory. Even at checkout, you saw us off until the very end—we couldn’t have been happier with the service. We would love to visit again.     My vacation home?

    After staying here several times, it feels like my own villa. With a simple “Welcome back,” I could feel the staff’s kindness and almost thought, “I’m finally home again.” I was impressed by the creative dinner. I was told the chef has a Japanese cuisine background. The matcha oysters and sakura shrimp quiche were delicious. For breakfast, the dried horse mackerel—my favorite—was also excellent. However, it was disappointing that the Room refrigerator had only water, and other drinks now have to be picked up from the lobby lounge each time. I hope this can be improved. Still, since this is my villa, I’ll be back again. Thank you in advance.

    This is a wonderful Hotel.

    The service, meals, and Room were all wonderful, and we had a comfortable stay from start to finish. The Room was spotless and well maintained in every detail, making it very relaxing. We were also able to enjoy the private bath at our leisure without having to wait, which felt truly luxurious. Above all, we were deeply moved by the unexpected surprise prepared for our 30th wedding anniversary celebration.     An Ultra-Luxurious Stay

    We stayed here for his birthday trip. From the moment we arrived, we were treated with such thoughtful care, and we experienced truly wonderful hospitality—from breakfast and dinner service to seeing us off when we left. Thanks to the warmth of all the staff, I genuinely came to love this Accommodation from the bottom of my heart. As it is all-inclusive, the welcome drink on arrival (I chose The Premium Malt’s), the alcohol and ice cream in the lounge, and even the ochazuke served during bar time were all outstanding—and being able to enjoy as much as we wanted felt almost too luxurious. The meals were carefully prepared; everything was refined and delicious. We were seated by the window, so we could relax while looking out at the trees outside. I hesitated until the last minute about which Room to choose, but I’m so glad we went with the maisonette type—it felt like a two-story house and was absolutely the right choice. It was more modern and spotless than I expected, honestly surprising me in a good way, and I’m really glad we stayed here. The amenities were more than enough for just two people, and it was such a stylish space that I think it would also be a great Room for families with small children. The time was so luxurious and happy that there were even things I wanted to do but didn’t get to, so I would love to return again soon. Thank you very much.

    This was my first time staying here. Because of the heavy snowfall that had been continuing since the day before, we got stuck in severe traffic, and our planned 3:00 PM arrival ended up being after midnight. The staff contacted us several times and encouraged us to come safely without pushing ourselves, which really put me at ease when I was feeling sorry for the trouble. We arrived late at night, but due to the snow we couldn’t drive all the way to the Hotel. We parked in a lot about 200 meters away and walked over, but a staff member came to meet us and carried our luggage, which was a huge help. It took a full 14 hours from leaving Tokyo to arriving at the Hotel, but I’m glad we made it safely. Even after we arrived, I truly appreciated the staff’s thoughtfulness. It was around 1:00 AM by then, but they kindly provided a light meal, which I was very grateful for. It was disappointing that we couldn’t have dinner, but breakfast was delicious and very satisfying. The snowy scenery was beautiful, but this trip was extremely challenging. I sincerely appreciate all of your kindness—thank you very much. I would love to visit again when the weather is better.
