    A large Onsen Hotel that is overall average.

    It was the first time I stayed at an Onsen Hotel where there were no staff near the entrance during check-in hours. Perhaps because of this, there were cobwebs on the founder's statue nearby, which did not leave a very good impression. However, moving on, the room was very clean. Although the in-room bath's water quality was inferior compared to another accommodation from the same group that I stayed at previously, it still provided relaxation. The meals were thoughtfully prepared with consideration for specific ingredients, which I greatly appreciated.

    A very relaxing Hotel

    The facility is modern and very comfortable. The Onsen was especially great, and even during the high season, it wasn't crowded, allowing for a relaxing experience. There is also a shuttle service from Sapporo, making it very convenient. I would love to visit again. Thank you!

    Enjoy comfort in our connecting rooms!

    We booked 2 rooms for 6 people. The luxurious rooms were adjacent, and when we slid the partition wall between them, there was a door. Upon requesting at the front desk, they promptly responded and unlocked the door, turning it into a connecting room. It was very convenient to move between the two rooms without going out into the hallway, making our stay very comfortable. Thank you! Dinner was a course meal, and it was great that soft drinks were free of charge. Breakfast was a semi-buffet style; however, there weren’t any meat options like bacon or ham on the buffet table—I thought it would have been nice to have those available. One disappointing aspect was that although the night bath is open until midnight, cleaning of areas like trash bins in both the dressing room and bathroom started about 10–15 minutes before closing time. My family mentioned feeling pressured and returned to their room without drying their hair properly due to this situation. Instead of silently collecting trash one after another during operating hours, I think it would be better if staff could say something like "Excuse us; please take your time" while doing so—or ideally wait until after closing time for cleaning since this is not an inexpensive accommodation. The large public bath as well as both our room and its private bath were very clean overall—making for a satisfying stay at this accommodation!

    Second stay

    I had such a great experience last year that I made a reservation again this year. The room comes with an open-air bath, which was so relaxing that I used it three times. The service is impeccable, and the meals are delicious! I love the seasoning. Also, there are no foreign tourists, and the clientele seems very pleasant. It’s truly a peaceful place to stay. I feel like coming back again and again. Thank you so much to all the staff for taking care of us!

    We stayed here for a family trip.

    I believe this is the newest Hotel in Jozankei. The Onsen and meals, both breakfast and dinner, were very delicious. The Onsen was spacious, not crowded, had two types of saunas, and was very clean. The Room was also well-cleaned, and the bed was comfortable to sleep on. Since running is my hobby, I ran around the Jozankei Onsen area. However, there were hardly any people around; it felt quite deserted. It’s hard to believe this quietness is just 30 minutes away from Sapporo's city center. I was told that bears might appear in the area, so I couldn’t go too far. Overall, it was a great experience!

    A good accommodation hotel.

    The service was excellent and welcoming, and the Room was lovely. Dinner was great, but I wished breakfast offered more flexibility. Specifically, the variety of dishes in the buffet could be improved. It was mainly Japanese cuisine, but since I don't eat much Japanese food, I would have appreciated some Western options.

    Amazingly wonderful!

    This is a Hotel I’d always been curious about whenever I passed by on the national highway. At last I had the chance to stay, and the moment I stepped into the lobby I was amazed— it was such an impressive Hotel that it made me think, “Is this Windsor?” As a local, I usually visit Jozankei Onsen (free-flowing hot spring water) in spring, autumn, and winter. This season was wonderful too. From the large windows in the lobby and Room, and from the open-air bath, I could enjoy a dynamic view of lush green forest at its peak. The meals were fresh and varied, and my husband really enjoyed a generous portion of roast beef (haha). For breakfast, the salmon fillet was huge—though having two kinds of fish might be even better. The British-inspired architecture and furnishings were high-quality and gorgeous. It truly feels like a one-of-a-kind Onsen Accommodation—at least in Jozankei and within Hokkaido. It really lifted my spirits; it’s a Facility experience you can only have here. Their thoughtful attention to guests was excellent as well: covered parking, a waffle robe and gauze pajamas, and a friendly, kind therapist who even provided an exfoliating scrub treatment. We also received drink tickets. In summer we often travel farther for private Onsen Accommodations around Lake Toya, Lake Shikotsu, Niseko, Tokachigawa River area etc., then shop at roadside stations on the way home. We sometimes stop by Chitose as well. This time there was bad weather in the forecast, so choosing this place turned out to be absolutely right. It would be nice if Jozankei Onsen also had a roadside station selling local vegetables and fruit. There is no free lounge service either (which suited us), so we could relax without worrying about time. All staff members were efficient and pleasant. We upgraded to a luxury Room as an optional add-on; it also had large windows and was great. With paid late check-out as well, we were able to take our time even more. (It’s hard for us to get three consecutive days off.) We won a “Dōmin Odekake” campaign catalog—thank you very much. I’d love it if there are more campaigns like that again—for Hokkaido residents and Sapporo citizens too. We’ll visit again soon.

    I stayed for one nig...

    I stayed for one night and had a very relaxing and peaceful time. Dinner was calm and delicious, with every dish showcasing the quality of the ingredients. I thoroughly enjoyed everything, from sashimi to Chinese dishes, the main roast beef, and even dessert. Thank you for the wonderful meal. The room was stylish and functional, with well-equipped amenities. The Onsen temperature was just right, and I also enjoyed the sauna and reclining bath. I'm glad I visited—thank you very much!

    Quite nice

    In conclusion, everything is very good. The overall Onsen experience is very comfortable, with excellent water quality and a wonderful atmosphere. While the food isn't perfect, I appreciate the kitchen accommodating vegetarian options. The dishes are very tasty but slightly salty, so it might be better to use less salt. Thank you. As for the massage, the female therapist's technique was relatively gentle and precise, while the male therapist's was more standard. Thank you; everything is actually going well.

    Service is excellent.

    The hospitality towards guests was excellent. There were also foreign staff members, but their Japanese was so fluent that it was hard to tell at first, and their service was great. This time we visited in early summer, but I believe the Onsen would be absolutely perfect during autumn and winter.

    The bath is excellent.

    The bath was absolutely wonderful. Since it was right after Golden Week and a less crowded period, I could relax and enjoy it at my own pace. The view of the mountains spreading out before me was breathtaking. If there is one downside, it would be that the staff during meal service could pay more attention to guests. I would appreciate better timing when serving dishes.

    Allergies

    When making the reservation, we informed the staff about our child's fish roe allergy and appreciated receiving a confirmation call beforehand, which gave us peace of mind. However, during dinner, fish roe was served on the plate, and it was almost consumed by mistake. While we acknowledge that we let our guard down due to the prior confirmation, we were disappointed by the staff's lack of awareness regarding allergies. We do not plan to visit again.

    It was a wonderful Hotel.

    I stayed in Hokkaido on April 6th, having found this wonderful hotel by chance on IKYU.com! The facility was spacious and impeccably clean, making it a very pleasant stay. 【Room】 ① The room was spacious with great views, and the furniture was comfortable. ② At the entrance, there were disposable slippers and tabi socks for indoor use, ensuring cleanliness. ③ The bed was large with a duvet-style cover instead of sheets or blankets, which made sleeping more comfortable without sheets clinging to the body. ④ Pajamas were provided instead of yukata for better sleep comfort. Additionally, there were three types of clothing options: gowns, samue outfits, and pajamas—very convenient! ⑤ The private Onsen in the room had constantly circulating hot water available anytime for easy access beyond just using the public bath. 【Onsen】 ① The changing area was spacious (unlike many hotels or Ryokan where it tends to be cramped compared to the bath area). ② The baths themselves were also roomy; I especially appreciated the outdoor reclining bath section that allowed multiple people to relax comfortably—it felt well-designed. ③ Towels and bath towels were provided in the changing area so you didn’t need to bring anything from your room (though considering SDGs these days? It did feel like overuse when using fresh towels upon arrival, before bed, and in the morning—a tricky balance...). ④ My wife loved how abundant the bath amenities were; I used one of their razors too—it was high-quality enough that I brought it home for reuse. 【Dining】 ① Every dish showed creativity and tasted delicious. ② While their signature roast beef as a main dish stood out wonderfully—offering an option featuring Hokkaido seafood would make it even better! ③ A foreign female staff member serving us seemed dedicated to learning Japanese well—it left a positive impression. 【Other】 ① We arrived via shuttle service from Sapporo; check-in procedures felt seamless as staff came out from behind counters to assist us at sofas without making us wait unnecessarily. Highly recommended! I’d love to stay here again someday!

    Favorite Hotel

    I have visited several times, and both the large public bath and the Room are clean and comfortable. The mountains and rivers visible through the large windows are very soothing, and I was able to refresh myself again this time. Thank you very much.

    Mother-Daughter Girls' Getaway

    I stayed with my mother and sister. We were all very satisfied with the delicious food. The option to enjoy some parts, like drinks and desserts, as a buffet was also great. The interior was lovely, and we had a wonderful time chatting and relaxing in the Room.

    Meals could be improved slightly.

    The room did not have an open-air bath, but it was clean and comfortable. The Hotel had a calm atmosphere overall, and the bath, including the temperature of the open-air bath, was just right for a relaxing time. The shop was also excellent with no complaints. The disappointing part was the meals. It would have been better if the quality were higher. Additionally, drink prices (alcohol) were separate and quite expensive. Nowadays, some Hotels include drink costs during meals in their rates, so I felt that the cost-performance ratio could be improved. Another disappointment was that there were no welcome drinks. Overall, I had no major complaints but would consider returning if these aspects are improved.

    ① Despite requesting shuttle service from Sapporo Station at the time of reservation, there was no email or phone guidance from the hotel until I inquired the day before. When I called, the explanation lacked details such as the color of the bus or its parking location, which caused confusion. For tourists unfamiliar with "Sapporo Station's group bus stop," more detailed guidance would be appreciated. ② The front desk service upon arrival was average, but what stood out most was an unpleasant smell in the lobby reminiscent of a pub grilling fish. Check-in is a crucial moment that shapes a hotel's impression, and this was quite disappointing. ③ While I understand that wearing samue (traditional Japanese loungewear) is part of the experience, zori sandals were uncomfortable to wear. In colder climates where thick socks are necessary, it would be nice to have slipper options available. ④ During dinner when I ordered beer and asked for water as well, there was an odd reaction from staff. Later when handing me both drinks, they curtly said, "For water refills after this one, please help yourself." This surprised me since there had been no prior explanation about self-service for water. Overall concerns have been outlined above. While the facility itself is new and features spaces like a library tea room with potential charm, it did not feel particularly welcoming for guests to use comfortably. There were frequent doubts about staff service quality throughout my stay. While eco-friendly amenities are commendable efforts toward sustainability, it felt like priority was given to minimizing labor and avoiding providing extra services rather than enhancing guest experiences. Smiles at greetings or offers like "May we assist you?"—small gestures that make guests feel comfortable—were lacking at this accommodation.

    Relaxing Time

    We stayed here for a family ski trip. The Onsen and guest rooms were wonderful, allowing us to relax fully. The outdoor bath in the large public bath was amazing! It became a great memory for us. Thank you very much!

    Regarding meals and the large public bath.

    The meals were delicious, and the large public bath was spacious and very pleasant. The menu is set to change starting in June, and I plan to visit again if I stay healthy.

    A Relaxing Space

    From the large window of the Room, the sight of several families of deer leisurely walking through the snowy mountain scenery was truly memorable. Just watching them was so soothing that an hour passed before I realized it. I regret not bringing binoculars.

    Meals

    We stayed with my son, his wife, and their three children aged 4, 7, and 9. However, the meals were not child-friendly at all and were exactly the same as for adults. This left the grandchildren with nothing to eat, which was very frustrating. Every time we visit an Onsen, while we enjoy the baths, it’s disappointing that the joy of meals is lost for the children. In the end, we had to rush to a convenience store to buy food for them. I hope you will consider offering meals that cater to children's preferences in the future. It was truly disappointing.

    Children's Meal Menu

    Last month, I stayed at this Hotel for the first time and found it to be wonderful. This time, I stayed again to celebrate my wife's birthday. However, the meals were exactly the same as those served to adults, even for my first and third-grade grandchildren. Some dishes were spicy, leaving almost nothing they could eat, which was disappointing. In the end, we had to buy cup noodles for them because they were hungry. It would have been nice if there had been something kids like, such as potatoes. I regret not checking before completing the Reservation since I didn't expect children would be served the same menu as adults. Unfortunately, this Hotel is not suitable for families with children but is satisfying for adults only.

    It was excellent.

    The room, staff, and meals were all excellent. I arrived earlier than 14:00, but I was able to smoothly check into the room without any waiting time, which was very appreciated as I was a bit tired.

    Overall, it is good.

    The bath, facility, meals, and overall experience were satisfying, but there were two points of concern. The cod served at dinner was tough with almost no flavor or taste, and I left half of it uneaten. Perhaps the quality of the ingredient was not good? The man serving the roast beef had long hair at the nape of his neck and it was not neatly groomed, which lacked a sense of cleanliness.

    Everything except the meals was good.

    This was my first stay at the accommodation. The room was a bit small but nicely renovated and clean. The bath was an onsen and very relaxing. The meals included Japanese, Western, and Chinese options, but the menu seemed catered to foreigners and lacked appeal overall. It would be better if the cuisine were unified as either Japanese or Western. As it stands now, I might not return next time.

    The view is excellent.

    The Facility is new and clean. The view from the Room is breathtaking. The windows are large, making it feel like watching a screen. The open-air bath in the Room allows for a relaxing soak, and I enjoyed the hot water several times. The food was delicious, and it was a birthday present for my elderly father, who was very pleased. I'm glad I chose this Hotel. The front desk staff (depending on the person) did not give a sense of hospitality and had a Business Hotel-like response, which was disappointing. It would be even better if the service aspect is improved.

    This was my first time staying at the property. I arrived before 2 PM, but I was able to check in immediately and enter the room. The room was spacious and clean, and the bathroom in the room was large with a perfect temperature. The large public bath was almost like a private bath, probably because it was early, and I was able to relax in the open-air bath. The meals were very delicious both at night and in the morning. However, it was a bit disappointing that I could only eat a little of the roast beef because I'm not fond of fatty meat. I thought I could have eaten it all if it had been cooked into a steak. This time, I stayed with my husband, but next time I would like to bring my children along.
