    Expectations were too high.

    I stayed at this Hotel for two nights. I was surprised at how large the Hotel was. There were few cars parked, so I thought there might be few guests, but when I went to the two-part dinner, I was surprised at the large number of people. The restaurant had a family restaurant-like atmosphere, and I had heard from Reviews that it was wonderful, but I felt like I had made a mistake. The clattering sound of dishes was incessant, and I couldn't feel relaxed. The Chinese dishes were too strong and spicy, and even the palate cleanser afterward didn't help. The roast beef was tender, but the fatty part was too strong and lingered in my mouth, so I thought it would be more delicious if it was grilled a bit more. As a meat lover, it was tough for me. Anyway, my expectations were too high, so my disappointment was deep. Perhaps improvements are needed. The Room and Onsen were all good.

    Very satisfied, felt rejuvenated.

    I planned a trip to Hokkaido for delicious food, nature, and Onsen to heal my tired body. During my research, I was drawn to the rich natural scenery of Jozankei and the calm, soothing atmosphere here, so I made a Reservation. The Japanese-style atmosphere of the guest room, the luxurious dinner with Japanese, Western, and Chinese cuisine, and the Japanese-style breakfast were delightful. Above all, I was healed by the Onsen, where I could see the softly glowing orange streetlights and the peaceful townscape and snowy scenery. The bath is recommended both at night and in the morning. (There are dry saunas and mist saunas) The main dish, roast beef, was sweet and marbled, and I felt the menu was relatively hearty overall, so it suits a journey with an empty stomach. The tiramisu dessert was exquisite. It takes less than an hour to reach from the center of Sapporo, and the next morning, I was able to visit city attractions such as Shiroi Koibito Park and the Sapporo Beer Garden, so I recommend a Hokkaido trip with Sapporo sightseeing and a stay in Jozankei for Onsen. (Both the guest room and the large public bath have high-performance hairdryers, which I found considerate for women)

    It was excellent.

    We stayed for one night in December with my wife. The large public bath was spacious, with both a dry sauna and a mist sauna to relax in. The open-air bath was also large and fantastic. The temperature of each bath varied slightly, which was enjoyable. It was the best snow-viewing bath. Both dinner and breakfast were delicious, and the cost performance was excellent at this property. I wished there were sauna mats (like kickboards) in the dry sauna and that there were more shuttle service buses from Sapporo Station. I am glad to have found a property that I want to stay at repeatedly.

    The food is not delicious.

    The bath is not bad. However, from my experience visiting various Onsen locations, it's average. The amenities were good. The food is not tasty. Especially the Chinese dishes are bad. It would be better if they weren't there. The service is fine even with foreign staff, but I wish they were trained to understand the language a bit more. I can't understand what they're saying. A Hotel that doesn't leave a lasting impression.

    Onsen and Meals

    The stone-based guest room with a semi-open-air bath, the large public bath, the newly reconstructed building, and the design and air conditioning of the guest rooms were wonderful, allowing us to spend our time comfortably. However, the level of the dinner we were expecting was quite low. I knew from previous reviews that there were many similarly harsh evaluations about the dinner, but I thought it would have been improved by now, which was disappointing. I saw a manager's comment in someone's reply about heartfelt dishes by excellent chefs of Chinese, Japanese, and Western cuisine, but I cannot agree. If the meals are improved, it could become the top hotel in Jozankei Onsen. Please consider this.

    I wanted to show filial piety

    The Room, meals, and bath were all of the highest level! The specialty dish, roast beef, was particularly tender, perfectly cooked, and very delicious. I would love to stay at this Hotel again if I have the chance.

    I want to stay again!

    This was my first stay here. I was a bit worried because there were some harsh reviews, but I was pleased to find the lobby clean and nice. The room was simple and clean, with large windows that provided a sense of openness, although the view was obstructed by the building across the street, which was unavoidable... The bathroom in the guest room was more spacious than expected, and as mentioned in some reviews, it seemed visible from the building across the street, which was a bit concerning, but once inside, it was comfortable and not a problem. The large public bath was also empty, allowing for a relaxing experience. The public bath had amenities, but the guest room did not, so you need to bring amenities from the shop. The meals were served in order, allowing for a leisurely dining experience, and everything was delicious. Although I'm not a fan of fatty rib roast, I was able to eat it, and it was very tasty. The food could have been a bit warmer, but I was satisfied! Breakfast was served as a set meal, and it was visually appealing, with vegetables and desserts available in a buffet style, providing a satisfying amount. Nowadays, many foreign staff work everywhere, and I thought everyone was doing their best! I usually stay in rooms with private open-air baths, and this property was very quiet, possibly due to good soundproofing, allowing for a truly relaxing stay. I would love to stay here again!     Overall attention to detail

    Amenities and other good items are provided, and it's very convenient that you don't have to bring towels from the Room to the bath. The bed is from Slumberland, a luxury line of France Bed, and it was very comfortable, slightly firm, and cozy. The bath offers a great view. It's a pity that the view is marred by the apartment building in front, but the temperature was just right, not too hot, and the open-air bath was spacious and comfortable.

    Wonderful Hotel

    I used it as a gift for my parents. The view from the Room, the bath in the Room were excellent, and the meals were delicious, so they were very satisfied. I will use it again!

    A Satisfying Hotel Life

    The hotel's baths (both indoor and outdoor) and sauna were almost perfect. The room was a bit small, so I think it would have been better if it were a bit more spacious. The meals, both dinner and breakfast, were good with comfortable seating.

    You can relax and unwind.

    It was a property I booked after suddenly changing my destination a week before the trip, and I am very satisfied. I was surprised at how affordable it was for this level of service. From arrival to check-out, the staff's service was very kind, and I had a pleasant stay. The young staff, in particular, were very earnest and pleasant. The parking lot is covered and spacious, so there is no trouble loading and unloading luggage even in bad weather. The hotel had a luxurious atmosphere, with a spacious lobby, restaurant, room, and bath. The food was simply delicious. Dinner was a Japanese, Western, and Chinese course with unique dishes, all of which were delicious, and the main roast beef was so large that even men would find it sufficient. There were many types of sauces for the meat, showing the chef's creativity. Breakfast was a half-buffet with a wide variety of salad dressings and a rich selection of desserts. There was panna cotta and canelé, and I ended up eating too much in the morning. It was a shame that only the men's bath had a view from the open-air bath, while the women's side had a screen blocking the view, but the large public bath was clean, spacious, and relaxing. The amenities are also well-stocked. It is a hotel where you won't feel any dissatisfaction, and I definitely want to repeat my stay.
