    The Onsen in the room is excellent.

    The large public bath was used only once, and after that, I enjoyed the open-air bath in the room multiple times. It was spacious enough to feel wasteful for just one person, allowing for a relaxing soak. However, in the middle of winter, the floor can be cold, posing a risk of heat shock, so caution is necessary. The dinner course offered a variety of dishes, and the rice cooked at the table was particularly delicious, leaving me completely full. The breakfast's sea bream sashimi was tasty with mixed condiments and sauce, but the dish was a bit small, causing the condiments to scatter. "The transportation after checkout was explained at check-in," but it would be appreciated if more specific times could be indicated at the time of reservation, allowing decisions to be made at check-in. Knowing the time in advance makes it easier to plan post-checkout activities.

    Not suitable for seniors

    We stayed with three generations of our family. The connecting room was spacious and comfortable with a massage chair, but there were some inconveniences such as a closet without a single hanger, no dressing table, and one sink for six people. We had informed them in advance that we had a family member with mobility issues, but there was no special assistance, and there were stairs everywhere, including access to the bathhouse, which required walking and had no elevator, with steps inside the room and having to remove slippers and put them in a shoe box at the restaurant, making it difficult to move around. The front desk told us it takes "one and a half minutes on my feet" to get to the bath from the front desk, but it was incomparable for an able-bodied person and an elderly person with mobility issues, so we ended up giving up on bathing. The walk to the bathhouse was cold as it was outside, and the area to remove slippers at the bathhouse was exposed to the elements and lacked cleanliness, with only the container for tags to avoid mix-ups, but no tags inside. The inside of the building was cold, and there were no slippers or tabi socks provided for the room. The drink orders for dinner were made through an app, but the service was prompt, and the service staff was attentive. The lounge, table tennis, and karaoke facilities were also good. Since it cost over 200,000 yen per night, we expected hospitality close to that of a first-class hotel, but overall, there was a lack of consideration for seniors and those with physical disabilities, giving the impression of accommodation used for golf. I think it would be enjoyable for such members or young families.

    Even after two weeks, this satisfaction!!!

    This was my first time using this service. In fact, it was also my first time visiting the Izu area. The fact that there is a free Shuttle Service from the nearest station is a very reassuring point for beginners to Izu, as it means you just need to get to Kawana Station using public transportation. The shuttle staff were very kind. They were punctual and even asked, "Are you staying at Mori no Izumi?" which immediately dispelled any anxiety about being in a new place. Upon arrival, you'll find yourself studying the map. The main building and villa are quite large, and if you're staying in the villa, it's a good walk, which is a nice way to work up an appetite given the generous portions of both dinner and breakfast. Both meals are primarily Japanese cuisine and are very delicious, with the added bonus of unlimited drink options, allowing you to enjoy various beverages. Moreover, the lounge in the main building is open for free, offering soft drinks and alcohol in the evening. When I visited, there was even a popcorn machine. Amazing. This alone would make checking out worthwhile. If you're lucky, you can enjoy a drink while watching the fountain show. However, the timing is strict, with the fountain show occurring only twice a day for about 15 minutes each, both in the evening. Unfortunately, there is no show during the day. The lit-up fountain was very magical and beautiful. There are koi swimming in the pond with the fountain, and they come up to you begging for food when you approach. Cute. The large public bath is divided between the first and second floors, with gender-specific times. I made a mistake, but if you bathe at night and again in the morning, you should be able to enjoy both the first and second-floor baths. The first-floor bath has a large indoor bath and two types of open-air baths. The open-air baths likely have the same water, but the locations are different. During this season, exposing your shoulders to the cold sky while looking up at the twinkling stars and, if you lean back further, seeing the bright moon, with only the sound of the flowing water filling the space, was a moment that made me think, "I'm glad I came here." There are also ice pops available after your bath. Amazing. They really go above and beyond. Additionally, some rooms have their own open-air baths. This is truly the best. You can immediately enter the flowing Onsen. The best. I will definitely go again.

    It was a good Stays as per the Review.

    I wanted to relax at a calm hotel at the end of the year, so I stayed at this Hotel with my sister and her husband. It is a classical Western-style building nestled in a villa area, and the staff were pleasant and made it feel like a lovely, homey Hotel. The meals were purely Japanese style, and the rice cooked in a pot was so delicious that I finished it all. The lounge was particularly relaxing, allowing us to leisurely enjoy drinks and coffee. The bath was a bit far, so the round trip was a little cold, but perhaps because of the cold, I was moved by the sight of many stars. I would like to use it again.

    The other day, I stayed for one night. I checked the reviews before my stay, and I noticed several improvements, such as the free drink time during dinner and the variety of drinks in the lounge, which seemed to have been made based on the posted opinions, and I thought it was wonderful. There were a few points, like the cleaning of the room's bath, that I hope will be improved a bit more, so I deducted a star with expectations, but overall, I am satisfied!     The Futon of the Dead

    The futon was as thin as if it were laid in a coffin. When lying down, it felt like sleeping directly on the tatami. During dinner, we had to order free drinks every time via mobile... The next table couldn't order the beer they wanted for over 30 minutes after sitting down. It seemed like a nice Hotel, but the service felt like it was carried out under the camaraderie of the staff... The next morning, there was hair in the Western-style Room that should have been unused. I stayed with my son, and we wryly smiled, wondering if my late wife had appeared. Despite informing them in advance about wheelchair use, there was only verbal acknowledgment, and no consideration was given to provide a Room with fewer steps. Employees were self-satisfied and intoxicated with their service... We canceled breakfast. Saying the futon was like a coffin was an exaggeration, but even prisoners have better bedding... I will never go again. All services were half-hearted... The food was nothing special, and sashimi was laid out on all tables in a heated restaurant. Was it an amateur's idea? I recommend not going.

    Content that should not be advertised as all-inclusive

    I was very disappointed as I was looking forward to it. I thought I would relax and enjoy drinks and meals with the all-inclusive stay plan, but it was completely disappointing. First, the lounge, which was supposed to have drinks and snacks, had a coffee maker that was broken during the day and couldn't be used for a long time. At night, after the red wine ran out, there was no replenishment, leaving only white wine and something like local fruit wine. The snacks, like Kaki no Tane, ran out quickly and were never replenished, leaving only dried fruits and marshmallows, which I didn't even bother to take. There was a popcorn maker, which seemed good for kids, but the scattered corn was always all over the floor, far from what one would expect from an all-inclusive lounge. It would be better to imagine a small waiting room with a few bottles of alcohol and snacks. There was no one around, and it was basically left unattended. Also disappointing was the dinner. The food was delicious, but the drinks I ordered never arrived. The same thing was happening at every table, and the staff were going around apologizing, which made me feel sorry for them. The dishes, which would have been even more delicious paired with drinks, were served at the wrong times, causing frustration for both the guests and the chefs. Overall, the staff seemed nice, and the food was delicious, but the attempt to force an all-inclusive concept resulted in service and offerings falling short, which seemed to be a negative. I think this is a management policy mistake, and I felt sorry for the staff. It would be much better if drinks were charged separately but provided correctly. The stay was very disappointing as it did not match the price paid and ended up being stressful.

    Very satisfied

    I stayed for the first time. I was very satisfied with the spacious Room, the bath, the lounge, and other Facilities, as well as the enjoyment of exploring the garden, all providing excellent hospitality.     Room impressions: The floor creaks when walking, the air conditioner vents are dusty, and the sliding door handle is torn. The large public bath and open-air bath have lukewarm water. I was looking forward to this trip, but I was disappointed.

    We stayed with three generations: my mother, myself, and my daughter. We go on Onsen trips three times a year, and Mori no Izumi Hotel was such a comfortable place that it made us want to come back again! The meals were extremely delicious, and the Onsen, free drinks, free ice cream, and customer service were all the best hospitality. We were able to enjoy the Onsen without encountering many people and could soak in it slowly. My daughter, who loves table tennis, also had a great time without any waiting! We will surely be in your care again next year (laughs). We look forward to it.

    The meal was very delicious!

    Both breakfast and dinner were very delicious. We stayed for a multiple night stay, spending one night each in a modern Japanese room with an open-air bath and one without. The room had some areas that felt a bit old, but it was not uncomfortable. The accommodation fee was not very high, so it was a satisfying hotel considering the price.

    Best value for money

    I stayed with my girlfriend in November and it was so good that I immediately made a reservation for my parents to stay as well. My parents were also very satisfied with the room with an open-air bath and the meals, so it was a great decision.

    A very comfortable Hotel

    It was a nice hotel with a clean and calming atmosphere. The unique service of having ice candies available freely at the Onsen was great. It was heartwarming to see children happily eating ice candies while walking in the garden. Drinks were offered for free in the lounge, and with chairs and tables placed around the garden, it was nice to relax while enjoying a drink outside. The garden was really beautiful, and many guests were taking photos before checking out. The meals were elaborate courses with all-you-can-drink alcohol, which was satisfying. Breakfast was also quite luxurious. The location is a bit inconvenient, about a 30-minute walk from the nearest bus stop, so a shuttle service or taxi is necessary if you don't have a car. I used a taxi after visiting Omuroyama, which is said to be the model for "Kimi no Na wa," nearby before staying. Although there is a No Meals Included Plan, considering the elaborate meals at the hotel and the lack of dining options nearby, it's better to opt for meals included. It was a comfortable hotel that makes me want to visit again.

    Reasonable but Nice

    When you check in, you take your own amenities and yukata to the room... Drink orders during dinner are made via smartphone... Breakfast drinks are self-service, and if you want coffee or something after the meal, you can also get it yourself in the lounge... It was a rational service style. If the staff had been unfriendly, it might have felt cold, but they were always smiling and pleasant, so I thought the comfortable, casual service was a selling point here. The meal surprisingly didn't include the usual tempura or chawanmushi, but the appetizers included elegantly fried items, and I really liked the taste of the soup, grilled, and simmered dishes. I was also happy to have fresh wasabi to grate myself for the sashimi and steak, and the steak was tender and delicious... The rice cooked in a pot at the table was really delicious too... With an hour of all-you-can-drink, I was completely satisfied. The bath was an onsen bath in the room, so I didn't use the large public bath and relaxed in the room, enjoying the flowing hot spring water. I deducted one point for the Facility because the glass door of the shower booth made a rather loud cracking sound when opening and closing, which was concerning. The water pressure in the shower was also a bit weak. Overall, it was a Property I would like to visit again. I had a great time, thank you.

    I would like to repeat my stay.

    First of all, the room was spacious and had a sense of grandeur, and I was soothed by the greenery from the window. The food was not the usual buffet, but a delicious Japanese-style course meal, and the one-hour free drink system was just right to enjoy with the meal, which suited my preferences. The onsen was satisfying in terms of both the quality of the spring water and the view, and the lounge had a nice atmosphere where everyone quietly enjoyed chatting and free drinks, which made me feel at ease. I thought the staff's hospitality was just right, neither excessive nor lacking, in a good way. There were a few points of concern, but considering the corporate efforts to operate at this accommodation fee, I think it would be petty to mention them. For me, I hope they maintain this cost performance, and I would like to visit again!

    All-inclusive with unlimited drinks! Very satisfying! The kaiseki cuisine and breakfast were also very satisfying! However, the Room was separate, and having to go through an external passage to the bath and meals was inconvenient! I caught a chill. Even with that, I was very satisfied.

    Second stay

    I visited again because I had a great experience last year. All the staff were very kind and courteous, making my stay very pleasant. The Room and bath were properly cleaned with no issues. The building and courtyard are spacious, making me feel luxurious just walking around. Both dinner and breakfast were delicious! Especially during dinner, the timing of the next dish was perfect, just like a first-class restaurant. Thank you very much. I will visit again!

    Izu Travel

    Upon arrival and check-in, there was a complainer which slightly dampened my mood, but personally, I had no complaints about the Hotel at all. The service of alcohol and ice was excellent, the food was delicious, and the open-air bath was superb. I was initially surprised by the sound of acorns falling on the roof, but... haha. My girlfriend was also satisfied, so I would like to use it again if I have the opportunity to visit the Izu area.

    Attracted by the scenery, I made a reservation. The scenery, room, meals, onsen, and facilities were as expected, or rather, exceeded expectations. With a limited number of rooms, we were able to enjoy meals and the onsen without much interaction with other guests. It was a trip with my mother, and although we both love traveling and have been to many places, we agreed that places like this are rare! However, since there are few trains at the nearest station, it can be challenging for those not traveling by car unless they have plenty of time. That's the only slight drawback...

    All-inclusive??

    The all-you-can-drink during dinner is only for one hour, there is no beer in the lounge, and the variety of snacks is limited. You order via QR code during dinner, but you can't order after one hour, even if you haven't finished your meal. It leaves the impression of questioning whether this can be called all-inclusive. If you imagine a typical all-inclusive property, you will feel betrayed. The room is also different from the photos, and it's old. Since I booked at a sale price this time, I can accept it, but if this were the regular price, it would be unacceptable.

    Nostalgic

    The recreational facility of the company I worked for during my active years has been transformed into an onsen hotel. (It was sold in 2002, I think.) I found it while looking for a property in Izu Kogen with a room with an open-air bath where I could stay alone. Although it was built about 35 years ago, it didn't feel that old. The villa building has a room with a semi-open-air bath, and while the room bath doesn't have a view, you can enjoy a very relaxing bath. The meals were above average. It was just the right amount for seniors. It is relatively reasonably priced, so it is recommended for those who want to relax in a room bath with flowing hot spring water. You can also enjoy garden walks and a fountain show.

    The room is dirty.

    Since I was young, my family and I have been using the company retreat, and this property has a strong image of a retreat, which I liked and stayed at many times. My family and I were very pleased, but there were some issues such as a large stain on the room carpet from a spilled drink right after opening the door, flickering chandelier bulbs, dead batteries in the lighting remote, and dust. Other than that, the onsen, meals, and facilities were impeccable. Perhaps the guest rooms are handled by a different person. I think the stains can be removed with a simple cleaner. I felt uncomfortable when an elderly driver asked if it was a foreign car of a certain brand. I would like to stay again, but could you please make improvements?

    An Elegant Moment

    We encountered traffic on the way and felt uneasy on the mountain road, arriving just after 9:30. After receiving an explanation of the facilities, we went to the Room and found an issue with the toilet. We had to change Rooms, which was a bit hectic, but after that, we were able to relax. The Room was spacious, and the garden and interior were beautiful Western-style buildings, allowing us to take beautiful photos anywhere. The Halloween decorations and casually placed flowers were also cute. Breakfast was enjoyable with various small dishes, and the fish was delicious. I think the cost performance is excellent. The staff was also courteous.

    Quite satisfied. I'm not sure if it's top-notch, so I rated it all 4s, but considering the cost performance, it feels like a 5++. The building has a charming atmosphere, the room is spacious and comfortable, the bath is pleasant, the garden is lovely, and the dinner and breakfast are delicious. Plus, it comes with an all-you-can-drink option, and all this for less than 20,000 yen per person per night is almost miraculous. The staff's attitude was polite, and they provided pleasant service. According to my companion, there was hair and dust accumulated in the corners of the room, but it was hardly noticeable or in places that caught the eye. I hope they continue striving to become an even better inn!!!
