    It was a very good Hotel!

    The room was, of course, clean, and the staff provided pleasant service! However, I had some difficulty figuring out how to use part of the shower in the bathroom. My elderly father also enjoyed this comfortable accommodation, which made me very happy. I would love to stay here again!

    The pajamas were great. The view was also excellent. Access is convenient as well. We used the water bus on our way back and returned from Haneda, making the trip smooth and enjoyable. The wine event at the restaurant was impeccable. It would be perfect if the service could be a bit more prompt.

    The location was great, and it was a simple yet comfortable Hotel.

    I visit Tokyo almost every month, but I had never stayed in Ryogoku before. I chose this Hotel with the cherry blossom cruise as one of my purposes. The location is convenient, being close to the station and with the cruise departing from the same premises. The guest room was simple yet clean. Breakfast offered a streamlined menu but covered all essentials and was delicious. Unfortunately, I couldn't see the cherry blossoms, but I enjoyed strolling around Ryogoku and trying chanko hot pot. The front desk staff were also courteous.

    Convenient and comfortable near the station.

    I have stayed near Kaminarimon before, but this was my first time staying in Ryogoku. The place was clean and conveniently located near the station. The Tokyo Mizube Line reception was also right across, which was very convenient. However, there was a mistake during check-in where I did not receive the breakfast voucher, so I had to deduct points for that.

    Located very close to Ryogoku Station, making it convenient even on rainy days. The rooms were clean and comfortable, which was great. Considering the price just before a holiday, I thought it was very cost-effective. It would be nice to have skincare sets included in the amenities.

    The breakfast was excellent.

    Enjoy a delightful breakfast at the Riverside Restaurant. As mentioned on the official website, the orange juice and marmalade are exceptional, and the honeycomb offers a naturally sweet and delicious flavor. Guests can choose between coffee or tea; however, as it is served at the beginning of the meal, it may cool down by the time you wish to enjoy it after eating. Overall, both the customizable one-plate options and buffet are of high quality and highly satisfying.

    Diamond Member Benefits are Exceptional

    This was the first Hotel where I experienced so many benefits as an IKYU Diamond Member. The luxurious chocolates provided at check-in were delightful, and I was thoroughly satisfied with the coffee card that could be used multiple times at the restaurant during my stay. The option to switch to café au lait or tea, served in large white cups, brought comfort and a sense of luxury. At night, I enjoyed sparkling wine on the 9th-floor terrace bar while admiring the nighttime view of Sumida River. All of this was part of the IKYU Diamond Member benefits. Above all, I was extremely satisfied with the delicious cuisine offered by the Hotel. The stylish breakfast featuring fresh fruits and salads was delightful, and I couldn't resist purchasing their homemade jam to enjoy at home after savoring it there. The Basque cheesecake also exceeded expectations in taste. I stayed for two nights with a one-day gap due to work but refreshed myself by strolling along nearby Kyu-Yasuda Garden and riverside paths!

    It was a wonderful H...

    It was a wonderful Hotel that exceeded expectations. The Room's interior and soundproofing were excellent, and the bed had a comfortably firm mattress, allowing me to sleep soundly through the night and relieve my usual back pain. As I stayed for work purposes and couldn't spend much time in the Room, I would love to revisit for a vacation next time.

    When I entered the room and opened the lattice facing the river, I was shocked to see only a highway. Naturally, the sound and vibrations continued incessantly throughout the night. The room's furnishings were elegant, and the bed was of very high quality. However, I couldn't sleep at all. This was really tough during my business trip. The rooftop garden, which also serves as a bar, unfortunately offers no view when seated. This was disappointing as well; perhaps there are some regulatory restrictions in place. I had imagined relaxing while enjoying views of the river but found it far from what I expected in many ways. Since it's currently a peak season with high accommodation fees, I felt disappointed thinking "Is this what you get for this price?" However, considering that it might be a standard-priced room on other occasions, perhaps it would feel more acceptable under normal circumstances. I will never stay at this hotel again nor recommend it to friends; however, I'd like to believe that my experience may have just been due to bad timing.

    It was a pleasant stay.

    The service from check-in was excellent, making for a very pleasant stay. The Room was spacious, and having a separate washing area in the bathroom was great. It was nice to see the Skytree and Sumida River from the window, though the highway right in front made the car noise slightly noticeable. Breakfast was delicious, but personally, I would have preferred more standard options for the main dish.

    I would love to stay here again.

    We arrived earlier than the check-in time, but we were informed that our Room was ready. We had sent some luggage in advance via courier, and they kindly delivered it to our Room, showcasing excellent service. The Room was clean, and the shampoo had a delightful Darjeeling tea fragrance. Thanks to IKYU's special benefits, we received coffee tickets, chocolates, and champagne tickets. Unfortunately, due to the rain, we couldn't enjoy the terrace. The breakfast was delightful, especially the freshly squeezed orange juice. We look forward to staying here again next time!

    It was excellent.

    This was my first time using it. The room was clean and comfortable to stay in. Although this time was not for a specific event, the location is close to the station and right in front of the Kokugikan, so I would love to use it again during an event. I also made a reservation at the restaurant through IKYU and enjoyed dinner there. Both the food and view were excellent, making it a very enjoyable experience. I would definitely like to use it again. Thank you very much!

    Please enjoy a ride on the water bus!

    I chose this Hotel to enjoy cherry blossom viewing from the water bus during the sakura season. The Reviews were good, and I was very much looking forward to my stay. However, my high expectations led to a somewhat critical evaluation. The breakfast had fewer options, but each dish was carefully prepared and delicious. However, it seemed that time spent assisting foreign guests caused delays in replenishment and service. It was also disappointing that there was a smell of bleach coming from the counter while using the lounge. The Room itself had a lovely atmosphere, but the amenities felt cheap and did not match its style. Although it is a stylish and beautiful Hotel, it left an unbalanced impression which felt like such a waste. That said, it's convenient for using the water bus and is right in front of Ryogoku Kokugikan, making it highly recommended for sumo fans!

    Exceptional hospitality

    It was our first stay, but the accommodation was easy to find from the station, and we arrived without any issues. Since it was my daughter's birthday, we made a same-day restaurant reservation and requested a cake, which they kindly arranged for us. The restaurant staff were all very pleasant, and we were extremely satisfied. At check-out, it seemed that the restaurant had informed them about my daughter's birthday, and they offered their congratulations as well. The smooth communication among the hotel staff created a cheerful atmosphere from the morning. Even the cleaning staff greeted us warmly, allowing us to depart feeling great. We are truly grateful. We look forward to staying again in the future. Thank you very much!

    Mold in the bathroom...

    The Room was clean and the breakfast was delicious, but everything was ruined because the bathroom floor was covered in pink mold. I specifically chose a Room with a bathtub because I wanted to soak in it... The presence of pink mold suggests that proper cleaning hasn't been done, doesn't it? Even the Room that seemed clean might just look that way because it's new, making me question whether it's truly cleaned. I'm really disappointed.

    A personal favorite, revisited. Just as comfortable as before.

    Reasons I personally like it: ① The IKYU D benefits include unlimited coffee, with a Nespresso machine in the Room and unlimited access to the restaurant. ② Meals are consistently delicious, and breakfast starts with fresh orange juice and allows you to choose your main dish. ③ I love the Darjeeling-scented amenities, as well as the availability of bath salts and hand cream. ④ The rooftop terrace offers a refreshing view for a change of pace. ⑤ Despite being young, the staff provide excellent service with just the right balance of friendliness and professionalism. If these qualities remain unchanged, I would definitely love to visit again. Thank you very much!

    The staff are very kind at this wonderful Hotel.

    Arrived in the rain due to a sudden business trip. At the restaurant, they kindly provided a towel for me to use as I was wet. They also placed my large luggage in the Room while I was dining. The orange juice and marmalade in the morning were very delicious.

    This is my second st...

    This is my second stay. It was the smallest room, but it was compactly organized. I have visited The Gate Hotel in various locations and it is one of my favorite hotels. I like the bath amenities with a Darjeeling scent, and even in lower-grade rooms, there is a Nespresso machine. Even if the selection is small, they provide a carefully curated breakfast, so I always include breakfast. The menu includes "chanko," which reflects the local character and is interesting. It's unfortunate that Bordier butter is too small and there isn't bread to match it. The homemade granola and fresh orange juice are delicious enough to want seconds! I'm pleased with IKYU's Diamond benefits of unlimited coffee service. I will visit again as a base for exploring the surrounding area.

    I was pleased to be recognized as a returning guest at check-in. This time, I chose the Hotel without hesitation, thinking I would run! I enjoyed jogging to the Skytree. Since I had an exam the next day, I chose a Room with a large business desk, which motivated me for my final study push. I plan to stay here again on my next solo trip to Tokyo.

    It is comfortable.

    I use it for watching sumo wrestling. It is very convenient as it is located in front of the Kokugikan. The staff are all young, but their service is excellent, and I always have a comfortable stay. The benefits for Diamond members are also very comprehensive.

    Fried Tofu

    Breakfast Narutobeya Salt Chanko I wondered why sesame oil was poured on the fried tofu for breakfast. If you want something oily, I would suggest selecting French toast or Benedict. I hope for an increase in chicken instead of tofu paste. I prefer a regular light chanko. The taste was delicious. The orange juice, salad, and carrot dressing were also delicious. The scrambled eggs were just a little too salty for my personal taste. Thank you for the quiet space.

    Diamond benefits and customer service are excellent.

    Watching the Grand Sumo Tournament, I stayed at this Hotel. Although the restaurant was fully booked at night, they brought the Diamond Benefit sparkling wine and coffee to my Room. The young waiter was excellent, and I felt that the customer service training was thorough. The benefit coffee could be changed to a latte after breakfast, and they also provided freshly ground hot coffee.

    The breakfast is delicious.

    The honey and orange juice at breakfast were very delicious, just as the Review said. Thanks to the IKYU benefits, I enjoyed coffee and sparkling wine, which was also nice. Without the benefits, I'm not sure about using it next time.

    It was my first visit in a year. The cleanliness, service, and the welcoming smiles of everyone remained consistently excellent. However, what impressed me this time was the breakfast. It has definitely evolved since last year. It was very delicious. Thank you very much.

    Shower Water Pressure

    I used this place for the first time. The location is excellent, right in front of the Kokugikan. I enjoyed the New Year's Eve soba and the sake on New Year's Day. The thoughtfulness was appreciated. However, the water pressure in the shower was low, which was very disappointing. If this could be improved, it would be five stars.
