    Great communication and friendly staff.

    This was my first stay at the accommodation. The only downside was the access; it’s a bit inconvenient for those traveling by train. The room was much cozier than it appeared in the photos. Due to an unexpected heatwave, I went down to the entrance early in the morning (before 6 AM) and found it dark with a large wooden door closed—it looked like a wall! I panicked for a moment, thinking, "Wait, wasn’t there a reception desk here yesterday? Where’s the door?" It turned out that the receptionist had stepped out briefly to check outside. The meals were highly rated, but I found them slightly expensive. Instead, I grabbed a light breakfast from a nearby convenience store and relaxed in my room when suddenly there was a knock on my door—a breakfast service cart! Upon checking my reservation email, I confirmed that I had booked a stay-only plan and explained this to them. Later, the manager called me personally to apologize politely and offered complimentary breakfast service as compensation. Unfortunately, I had already eaten (what a shame!), so they kindly suggested sending up some fruit instead. Their thoughtful gesture and delicious fruit platter truly made me happy—thank you so much!

    We used the pool, but we couldn't relax much as there were small children around. The swimsuit spinner did not have a grounding wire, which was concerning. The meals were very delicious.

    Escape the hustle and bustle of Minato Mirai and relax in a Hawaiian resort atmosphere.

    A Resort Hotel on a southern island, not in Yokohama. In the city, the rooms are quite spacious with two queen-sized beds in a twin setup. With a limited number of rooms, privacy is well-maintained.

    I felt completely relaxed, both body and mind.

    I was able to relax both my body and mind at the Resort Hotel, offering a soothing escape from everyday life. We celebrated my daughter's birthday as well, taking photos in the lobby and having a cake delivered to our Room, which made her very happy. I would love to visit again on another special occasion.     Excellent consideration for children.

    It's a repeat visit. The comfort here makes you want to come back again. We reserved an Italian dinner. The restaurant is located on a high floor, allowing us to enjoy the Minato Mirai night view while dining, which was truly relaxing. The staff at the Japanese restaurant were also excellent, but here, the attention to detail was even more remarkable. When our child fell asleep during the meal, their response and timing of food service showed great care and thoughtfulness—it truly felt like staying at The Kahala Hotel. In the pool changing room, our son had to use it alone, but a staff member stayed with him throughout, which made us feel very reassured. The Japanese breakfast is always exceptional with its variety of dishes and flavors that highlight the quality of ingredients used. This hotel consistently offers warm greetings everywhere you go and provides outstanding hospitality from all its staff members.

    It was a comfortable stay.

    Arriving early with a friend, we were having lunch at the bar lounge when we were kindly allowed to check into our Room ahead of time. The staff provided excellent and pleasant service, allowing us to fully enjoy a relaxing Hotel stay. The view from the bed was truly extraordinary!

    Hotel with Excellent Staff

    We stayed here to celebrate a 70th birthday. From the welcoming and farewell staff, concierge, in-room service team, to all other service staff, everyone was incredibly kind and made our stay very comfortable. Thank you for the surprise 70th birthday plate during our meal. The delicious food was complemented by outstanding hospitality that truly impressed us. We will definitely visit again. Thank you!

    Enjoy Japanese Breakfast in Your Room

    Thank you for always providing a comfortable stay. Although it was unfortunate that the Japanese restaurant was fully booked, the in-room Japanese breakfast was excellent. This time, I noticed two strands of hair in the bathroom after turndown service, which was a bit disappointing. However, I thoroughly enjoyed using the pool and sauna. I look forward to staying with you again next month!

    Once you step inside the building or room, you are enveloped in an atmosphere of sophistication and modern design. The rooms perfectly blend design and functionality, with every detail reflecting thoughtful hospitality for guests. In-room breakfast is ideal for a relaxing morning, allowing you to leisurely enjoy unique menu offerings exclusive to Kahala. Additionally, all staff members were friendly and warmly attentive. Everything was truly exceptional, leaving us completely satisfied.

    A Return Visit After Several Years

    Excellent hospitality! The Aloha spirit made it relaxing and enjoyable. I had a delicious Japanese dinner. The Lomi Lomi massage might even be better than in Hawaii! I will definitely stay here again when visiting Yokohama!

    Perhaps a design that's too sharp doesn't quite feel like Hawaii?

    The cost and service feel slightly mismatched. The location is on the outskirts of Minato Mirai, making it a bit far and inconvenient. While the lounge and reception have a wonderful Hawaiian scent that creates an amazing atmosphere, the Room and overall design felt too sharp, neither Hawaiian nor Yokohama-like, which made it hard to relax. Disappointing for not being soothing.

    The overall atmosphere was filled with a Hawaiian vibe. Although we didn’t have a meal, we enjoyed an afternoon tea through a separate reservation. The content was excellent without any complaints, but the view from the window wasn’t particularly impressive, possibly due to the floor level or location. All the staff were kind and pleasant.

    It was the best birthday ever.

    We stayed here as we attended a live event nearby. It happened to be my daughter's birthday, and when I mentioned it, the staff warmly greeted her with many "Happy Birthday" wishes. To our surprise, the Room number matched her birthdate, and we even received a thoughtful gift with a lovely message. We were deeply touched as a family and will cherish this memory. The Hawaiian breakfast overlooking the ocean was luxurious, making it an unforgettable birthday celebration alongside the live event and wonderful hospitality. We would love to stay here again!

    Excellent customer service.

    The hotel was lovely, but since I enjoy spending my time watching streams at the Hotel, there were issues with the Wi-Fi and smart TV. Although check-out was at 12:00, I left early because I couldn't watch any streams. I hope the smart TV can support more streaming services and that the Wi-Fi is improved. However, the staff service was excellent—when I asked about a taxi after checking out, they arranged for one to be ready as soon as I got downstairs. Also, after seeing photos of breakfast, it seemed like too much food for me to finish, so I skipped it. It would be nice if there were lighter Japanese-style options available on the menu.

    Enjoy a resort atmosphere in a lovely Room.

    A spacious and calming interior, a well-thought-out functional design, excellent amenities, and the friendly service of the staff made us feel like we were at a resort. I wanted to spend quality time with my mother, so I’m glad we chose this Hotel with its well-equipped facilities such as the lounge and restaurant!

    Another great stay.

    Although my late arrival meant I had limited time to enjoy the stay, it was still a pleasant experience. I appreciated the flexibility in accommodating my request for breakfast for just one person on the same day, as I realized in the morning that it wasn’t included due to my oversight. The thoughtful preparation of items like a humidifier and other requests from previous stays made this visit stress-free. Thank you once again, and I look forward to staying with you again!

    I used the facility for a day trip.

    This was my first time staying at The Kahala Hotel. I was well aware of its luxurious reputation, and indeed, everything from the interiors to the building itself was high-end and stunning. The room, unfortunately, did not face the ocean, so I couldn't fully enjoy a resort-like atmosphere. However, it was spacious, clean, and very satisfying overall. One issue I encountered was with the service water being placed in a location separate from the refrigerator. Initially, I thought there wasn't any service water available and ended up drinking the expensive Evian from the fridge instead. This setup might need reconsideration. I enjoyed afternoon tea in the lounge on what seemed like a loveseat or a comfortable sofa; however, instead of enjoying scenic views while having tea, we were facing other guests seated nearby. Perhaps rearranging the sofa placement could enhance this experience as well. Other than these points, The Kahala Hotel exceeded expectations in every way. Next time, I'll make sure to reserve an ocean-facing room!

    I’ve heard it’s a prestigious Hotel in Hawaii, but...

    I had plans in Shin-Yokohama on Sunday, so I made a Reservation thinking I’d take the opportunity to stay at the much-talked-about Kahala and have dinner in Chinatown. However, although I have never stayed at The Kahala in Hawaii, I felt this Hotel falls far short of Tokyo’s five-star hotels in every respect. As others have noted, everything—the scale of the Hotel, the views, the Facility offerings, and the overall atmosphere—feels half-baked. If this is truly the first expansion outside Hawaii worldwide, I think it needs to be reconsidered from the planning stage so that guests can actually feel “Hawaii” even while being in Yokohama. The final blow was the breakfast buffet that requires you to go to a neighboring Hotel. A simple Business Hotel-style breakfast served in a banquet room with no view is unacceptable. Unfortunately, I don’t think I will stay here again...

    Exceptional hospitality and dining!

    We stayed as three sisters. In February, I stayed with my younger sister and had such a great experience that this time we invited our sister from Hakata to join us. Although we only stayed for one night after spending three nights at another hotel, we all wished we could have stayed longer at The Kahala. It was delightful to reunite with the staff who took care of us in February, and their kind hospitality deeply moved us. The staff at OZIO also took great care of us this time, allowing us to enjoy a pleasant stay. Thank you very much. We will visit again!

    My favorite Hotel, it was amazing again this time!

    Thank you for your hospitality once again. This time, I stayed on Friday. From the entrance, there was a scent of Hawaii. Since it was ALOHA FRIDAY, Hawaiian music was playing throughout the hotel, making me excited and happy. As always, all the staff were incredibly kind and friendly with wonderful smiles and hospitality that truly conveyed the spirit of aloha. The room was amazing! The spa and gym were also fantastic. This time, breakfast was included in my stay, so I enjoyed a Japanese-style meal. The ingredients were excellent, and it was absolutely delicious. Thank you for accommodating my requests as well! Thanks to everyone’s efforts... I had an absolutely wonderful and memorable time—Big mahalo! I will definitely come back again!

    Yokohama Journey

    Thank you for accommodating our requests, such as late check-out. Traveling with a 2-year-old, the in-room dining breakfast was greatly appreciated. The macadamia nut chocolates upon arrival and the chocolates before bedtime were delightful touches. The Japanese dinner was exceptional, with every dish being incredibly delicious. Thank you for taking care of us during our stay!

    Stay at a rare five-star hotel.

    This time, I visited Yokohama for a family gathering in Chinatown. I stayed one night near Chinatown at an accommodation that was offering a sale, and I couldn't resist booking a luxurious hotel at an incredibly low price. As someone with slight leg pain, the hotel itself was very satisfying for me. However, since it was located on the edge of the Minato Mirai area, while it wasn’t far enough to require driving when going out, walking was a bit challenging (I usually rely on cars for transportation, so navigating the city can be tough). We first took a taxi in the morning to drop off our luggage at the hotel. At that time, we only saw the first floor and found it curious as there wasn’t any grand open space upon entering through its doors. But when we returned after 3 PM to check-in again, everything became clear—the front desk is located on the top floor! At check-in time, my name was confirmed on the first floor before being escorted up to their top-floor reception area where we could sit comfortably during check-in procedures. The luggage we had dropped off earlier had already been delivered directly into our room by then. Although I booked just a standard room type initially—it turned out spaciously designed with double sinks in its bathroom alongside both shower facilities & large bathtub options available too! For breakfast instead of buffet-style dining this particular day—I opted instead via Room Service delivery featuring delightful menu items such as Hawaiian-inspired dishes like Acai Bowls or Eggs Benedict served atop caster-wheeled tables brought right inside seamlessly prepared while engaging conversations unfolded between staff members assisting us throughout setup moments shared together joyfully alike! Interestingly enough—these same offerings are said reminiscently akin towards those famously enjoyed over @The Kahala Resort Hawaii itself someday perhaps worth exploring firsthand experiences abroad likewise someday soon hopefully realized dreams fulfilled eventually thereafter maybe?     Five-blade razor provided. Beds are extremely comfortable. Staff offers excellent service. It was a wonderful stay. The in-room Kahala pancakes were delicious.

    It was excellent!

    This was my first time staying here, and the valet service was smooth, making check-in very pleasant. The staff were friendly and approachable, making it easy to communicate with them.     A Wonderful Time

    Aloha The moment the Hotel door opens, you are greeted with words, smiles, and the scent of plumeria. My 89-year-old mother said with a big smile, "This is the best Hotel in my life," over and over again. I can't stay at any other Hotel anymore! (laughs) I'll come back next year as a reward for myself.

    For your special occasion!

    I had been wanting to stay here for a while, and since my daughter and I share the same birth month, I made an early reservation. I also requested a cake reservation, and the email communication was smooth. On the day of our stay, despite its elegant atmosphere, we were warmly welcomed with kind smiles that made us feel at ease. Three generations—my mother, myself, and my daughter—stayed together. They upgraded our room and even gifted us a commemorative photo upon departure. I have stayed at quite a few hotels before, but I was truly impressed by the quality of all the room amenities and their variety. It was such a relaxing experience that I wanted to stay in the room all day long. The breakfast was Hawaiian-style! I had heard great things about it before, but it exceeded expectations! This is definitely a hotel I'd love to stay at again.

    It was my first stay...

    It was my first stay, but I had a wonderful time. The smiles of the staff and their kind words when passing by in the elevator or within the facility were exceptional, making me feel that this is a hotel full of hospitality. I was allowed to check in early, used the Diamond benefits, and stayed for about 23 hours. I planned my stay to experience the buffet, and even the email confirming my schedule was handled with great care. However, I noticed that there were slightly fewer food options at the buffet, and it was a bit disappointing that there wasn’t much of a Hawaiian vibe due to the strong smell of grilled fish. Additionally, perhaps due to structural reasons, the buffet venue had no windows and felt more like a banquet hall. It would have been even better if there was an ocean view. That said, both the poke and signature pancakes were absolutely delicious. I look forward to visiting again!

    I imagined a luxury ...

    I imagined a luxury hotel in Hawaii, but it felt more like a friendly and homey atmosphere. The room design was unique and refreshing. I was initially worried about water leaking from the bathroom into the dressing area, but there were no issues at all. There were plenty of towels provided, not just the bare minimum, so I ended up taking multiple baths. However, since my room was on a lower floor, I felt a bit concerned about privacy unless I kept the curtains closed. For breakfast, I chose the buffet option but found it slightly disappointing. The selection was limited, and it seemed like they had temporarily set up the basement hall as the dining area. Next time I stay here, I might opt for in-room dining instead.
