It is very comfortable for a Business Hotel.

The service was excellent. As a Business Hotel, the location is convenient and provides a suitable environment. I stayed with the intention of relaxing for sightseeing purposes, but the room was a bit small, and the placement of the closet (at the very back of the room) detracted from the sense of comfort. While it may be practical to pick up amenities at the lobby on your own, it diminishes any premium feel, which was slightly disappointing. Compared to A Hotel and T Hotel as a Business Hotel, this one is much better.

    About Room Luggage

When I checked in, I left my luggage at the front desk and went sightseeing. Upon returning, as is common with any Hotel, I expected my luggage to be placed in the Room. However, when I entered the Room, my luggage was lying flat on the floor. It would have been appreciated if it had been placed on a luggage rack. Inside were sacred items from a shrine visit for New Year's prayers; it would have been better if they had at least been kept upright.

    Highly Satisfied

This is my fourth year spending New Year's in Kyoto. Since last time, I have stayed at this hotel. This time, I stayed in a room facing the Kamo River. The view was fantastic. Above all, the open-air bath in the large public bath was excellent and healed my tired body after walking around. I want to stay here again next year!

    Delicious breakfast

Good Points: The breakfast included many carefully prepared dishes, similar to traditional Japanese "obanzai," and was delicious. The large public bath had a semi-open-air area, and the washing space was spacious and convenient. Areas for Improvement: The front desk staff's response was cold and unclear, which left me surprised. This feeling lingered throughout my sightseeing trip. However, there were also friendly veteran staff members. Despite having elderly guests in our group, the Room was located farthest from the elevator. Dissatisfied with the Room's cleanliness (e.g., sheets).

Convenient Hotel Near Downtown and Station

We stayed as a group of three, including my parents. Since we were traveling without a car, we looked for accommodation close to the station and downtown area. This hotel met our criteria with its Kamogawa view and being eligible for hometown tax benefits. Check-in was systematized but well-explained by the staff, making it easy to understand and leaving a good impression. The room did not have amenities provided inside; instead, guests could select what they needed at the front desk. Our room was on the second floor with a Kamogawa view, but since it was visible from outside, we couldn't open the curtains fully. While lace curtains allowed some light in, it required extra caution for privacy. It would have been better if the glass had been designed to prevent visibility from outside. For loungewear, there were samue outfits available; however, my tall father and I found even the largest LL size uncomfortable as it only increased in waist size rather than overall fit. The waist tie also didn’t slide well and became difficult to untie once knotted—elastic would have been more convenient. The room was spacious enough for three people but had drawbacks such as a narrow sink area and poorly positioned lighting that made tasks like makeup or grooming inconvenient due to insufficient brightness. The staff provided excellent service with polite and friendly hospitality throughout our stay. Overall, this accommodation is ideal for those seeking convenience near the station or downtown dining options within walking distance—a bit luxurious compared to typical business hotels but perhaps lacking in features expected of a hotel meant purely for leisure enjoyment.

    The public bath was excellent.

The location near Kyoto City Hall was excellent. In December, walking around Pontocho after 5 PM was chilly, so the large public bath was very relaxing. I was happy to find cosmetics provided, but I wondered which floor would be best to use the microwave located in front of the public bath. Although I was initially concerned about the lack of windows, it didn’t bother me at all. I didn’t have a meal this time, but I’d like to try it on my next visit.

The room was spacious and comfortable.

This was my second stay. The location is very convenient for Kyoto sightseeing, dining, shopping, and more. The front staff provided excellent service, and I stayed in a comfortable room. I would choose this hotel again for my next visit to Kyoto.

Convenient location and spacious Room, highly satisfying!

This is about my third stay. The price has gone up compared to before, making it difficult to stay during the peak season. For the annual Kabuki performance, I noticed the year-end prices were slightly lower, so I quickly made a reservation! Conveniently located near Keihan and subway stations, with easy access to Kiyamachi and Pontocho. After dining in Kiyamachi following the evening show, I was delighted to return to the hotel within about a 2-minute walk feeling completely satisfied.

    No parking available.

When I called the hotel 20 minutes before arrival to inform them I was coming by car, they told me to come as parking was available. However, upon arrival, I was told, "Parking is full today and tomorrow, so please use a nearby parking lot." This should have been mentioned during the call. The road in front of the hotel is one-way, which caused unnecessary detours. During my stay, there were also long lines for the multi-story parking lot. Therefore, I do not recommend this accommodation for those traveling by car.

Excellent location. Would love to stay again.

The location is excellent, being very close to both the station and bus stop. Pontocho is just a short distance away, and Gion is also within walking distance. The layout of each Facility within the Hotel is well-designed, ensuring great satisfaction.

    Repeat visits are welcome.

Whenever I visit Kyoto, I always stay here unless it is fully booked. It is a perfectly balanced hotel in terms of location and facilities. Thanks to the IKYU Diamond Member benefits, I was able to enjoy a late check-out, which was very helpful as I was tired. After returning home, I realized that I had forgotten something and contacted them; they promptly found it and assisted me. Thank you very much. I will definitely stay here again when visiting Kyoto.

    It was very comfortable.

The room, meals, and service at the front desk and dining area were excellent. Despite being located on a busy street with many foreign guests staying, it was very quiet and comfortable.

Stayed for 2 nights and 3 days with one breakfast included.

The room did not have an outside view, but it was very clean and comfortable, making my stay satisfying. On the second day, I had breakfast for an additional fee. The menu was very extensive and delicious, and I ended up eating too much. If given the chance, I would like to stay again.

    Around 3:30 AM on th...

Around 3:30 AM on the 22nd, the hotel suddenly experienced a power outage. Approximately 160 locations in the area were affected, but Kansai Electric Power indicated that power would be restored around 6:00 AM, so I felt reassured. However, only the hotel remained without power. The most inconvenient issue during the outage was using the restroom. I ended up going to a nearby subway station to use their facilities. Eventually, the hotel staff suggested finding another accommodation due to this situation. Since I had dinner reservations nearby, I booked a room at another hotel in the vicinity. This experience reminded me of how important it is to check evacuation routes and locate flashlights (ensuring batteries are not dead) when staying at an accommodation. The hotel staff were stationed on each floor by emergency staircases with lights, which made descending safer and more reassuring. They even came up to my room and accompanied me down via the emergency stairs. Although it seemed very challenging for them at reception and elsewhere during this time, I didn’t have many complaints about their response. They also covered the price difference for booking an alternative accommodation. I like this hotel and would like to stay here again in the future.

I have used this service multiple times.

Free ice cream in the bath would be nice. Having a bed available when staying with children would provide extra peace of mind. I look forward to staying again. Thank you very much!

    Accommodation was not available.

When I tried to check in on the day, I was told that I could not stay due to a power outage throughout the accommodation. I had plans in the evening, so I asked if they could at least keep my luggage, but that was also not possible. The staff said they would look for an alternative hotel and contact me, so trusting their words, I hurriedly stored my luggage in a station locker and headed to my destination as my next appointment was approaching. Even after arriving at my destination, I kept checking my phone constantly to ensure I wouldn't miss their call, but there was no contact at all. As time passed with no updates, I decided to call the hotel myself and was told they were just starting to look for accommodation now. I shuddered at the thought of what might have happened if I'd continued waiting without taking action—I might have ended up with nowhere to stay. Eventually, they informed me about an alternative hotel; however, because of this situation, I spent the evening worrying instead of fully enjoying plans I'd been looking forward to. It saddened me that despite it being an unavoidable circumstance (force majeure), there wasn't even a single word of apology from them. Thanks to this situation though—on a positive note—the staff at the alternative hotel were very pleasant and made sure everything felt comfortable during our stay! That said... Solaria Nishitetsu Hotel had always been somewhere high-up-on-my-list-of-dream-stays prior-to-this-experience hence why disappointment hit harder than usual here today

Kamogawa Riverfront: Convenient and Comfortable in the Heart of the City!

Overall, I was very satisfied. However, there were a few concerns: - I noticed some foreign guests using the public bath without washing their bodies beforehand, which made me feel uncomfortable. - Perhaps due to the busy season, the Wi-Fi was not functioning properly, and I was unable to complete most of my morning work. - There were issues with luggage left at reception; details were not communicated accurately, leading to misplaced items. Clear and precise communication is necessary in such cases.

    Great location and excellent facilities.

I stayed here on a business trip. The location is very convenient, close to Kyoto City Hall Station, Kawaramachi Sanjo area, and the Kamo River. This time, I stayed in a View Bath Twin Room. The room had a plush sofa and an open-feeling bathroom with a washing area, allowing me to relax comfortably. Additionally, I was satisfied with the small details such as the drink service available on the lobby floor and drip coffee provided in the room's minibar for immediate use.

    I had a comfortable stay.

This time, three women stayed in a Kamo River view Room. All the staff members were very polite, and we were extremely satisfied with their service. The breakfast was delicious, and we enjoyed the large public bath as well. However, there are a few things about the Room that caught our attention: - There wasn't enough space for luggage for three people. - The space for doing makeup felt insufficient for three people. Still, we look forward to staying again in the future! Thank you!

    Riverside is highly recommended!

This time, the theme of my trip was "Enjoying Kamogawa," so I stayed here for the first time. The accommodation was clean, and all the staff were pleasant—nothing to complain about. I was soothed by the view of the river flowing from my room and fell even more in love with Kyoto.

    Parking

The parking lot has only 6 spaces, and the overnight fee is 3,000 yen, which is very expensive compared to other Hotels. On the day of my stay, the parking lot was full, so I was directed to a nearby parking facility. While daytime rates were 100 yen per 10 minutes, staying overnight cost me 4,000 yen. Normally, nighttime rates are about 30% of daytime prices, so I found this completely unreasonable.

A clean and convenient Hotel located by the Kamogawa River

The east side of the hotel faces the Kamo River. Conveniently located near Sanjo Keihan and Kyoto Shiyakusho-mae Station on the Tozai Subway Line. Pontocho, Shijo Kawaramachi, and Kyoto Imperial Palace are all within walking distance. Despite being in the city center, it offers a relatively calm atmosphere. You can enjoy views of the Kamo River from your room window, and there is an exclusive large public bath for guests to relax in. The triple room without an extra bed was perfect for a group of three travelers. One downside was that multiple night stay guests occupied the parking lot, so we had to search for parking outside. During Obon season, finding parking became quite challenging.
