    It was great.

    Conveniently located near the station along the Kamo River, it was very easy to use. Both the Room and breakfast were excellent. It is a Hotel where I would like to stay again.

    It was my first stay in a while. Aside from handling check-in and check-out yourself and picking up only the amenities you need at the front desk, everything was unchanged, and I had a comfortable stay. The Room was set to a pleasant temperature when I arrived, which made me forget Kyoto’s heat. This time, my purpose was to visit the Gojo Wakamiya Pottery Festival. It took less than five minutes on foot from the Hotel to Keihan Sanjo Station, so I could go by train and take my time looking around at the venue. It is also close to Pontocho and Kiyamachi, so finding places to eat was never a problem. Breakfast is buffet-style, and in addition to Western options, there were obanzai dishes, pork shabu-shabu, spice curry, and other satisfying choices. Despite being in such a convenient location, it’s also quiet and relaxing, so I would like to stay here again.

    This was my first st...

    This was my first stay. Many of the guests seemed to be international travelers, but the Hotel was quiet, and I was able to spend a comfortable time in my Room. The staff were also kind, and the housekeeping staff greeted me pleasantly as well. I would like to stay again.

    Cherry Blossom Spring Trip

    This was the first time I have ever spent so long at check-in. Even after providing my Reservation Number and the Reserver’s name, they could not find it for 20 minutes. After a long trip from Aomori, we were exhausted from waiting, so we finally asked for the manager and it was resolved immediately. The Room is a bit old, but it seems well maintained. In the large public bath, all of the amenities—skin lotion—were empty. I reported this to the front desk the next morning, but they were still empty until checkout day. The location, nearby facilities, and transportation were good.

    It was great.

    The meals were delicious and the Room was clean, which was great. However, when I slid the door partition between the washroom and the Room to take a bath, there were splatters on the door that looked like toothpaste from a previous guest. You can’t tell when it’s closed, but when you slide the door to use the bath, you can see it scattered. I think the cleaning staff should open the door and check it during cleaning. It felt unpleasant, so that was disappointing. Also, since parking was first-come, first-served, we had to park in another lot and walk. My husband has a physical disability, so I wish there were designated parking spaces with consideration for guests like him. That part was disappointing.

    I’m always satisfied with the friendly service and cleanliness, and I’m happy that the bed mattress is similar to the one at home, allowing me to sleep well. It’s also very convenient for sightseeing, shopping, and dining out, so I will stay here again on my next visit to Kyoto.

    It’s sad to see the amenities disappearing one by one.

    This is my favorite Hotel in Kyoto, so I stay here regularly. However, recently, due to SDGs initiatives and rising costs, the amenities I used to love have been disappearing little by little each time I visit. This time, the wooden sandals for going to the large public bath and the carry bag for towels were gone. The bottled water was also no longer provided. I understand it may be a sign of the times, but it was disappointing. I really hope the fluffy pillows, jinbei loungewear, and sleepwear will not be discontinued.

    I had heard that too...

    I had heard that toothbrushes were not provided, so I brought enough for a large group, but they were available next to the front desk. Since my Room was on the 2nd floor along the Kamo River, people walking by could easily see in through the window unless I kept the curtains closed. There was no welcome gift for Diamond members, and there were no particular benefits.

    A few years have passed since it was newly built.

    As it was newly built just a few years ago, the building is still new. In short, it’s an expensive Business Hotel. Part of the front desk was self-service. There were many trainees, and they didn’t seem very energetic. The exterior is clean and nice. Since it was on the Kamogawa River side, the view was good. Breakfast had more variety than a typical Business Hotel, but the taste was average—considering it’s a Nishitetsu Hotel, I’m not sure about it. There is a long-established Hotel diagonally across the street, and since the price is about the same, I’ll stay there next time. It might be fine for business use. That’s what I thought.

    I had a great impression when I stayed three years ago, so I booked again. This time it felt uncomfortable, with an old and somewhat run-down atmosphere.

    Conveniently located with easy access, clean, and a delicious breakfast. I’d like to book a Multiple Night Stay next time.

    It’s conveniently located near the nearest stations (Shiyakusho-mae and Sanjo), so we enjoyed not only sightseeing but also strolling around Pontocho and along the Kamo River. The property was clean and well maintained, and the large public bath even has an open-air bath, making it easy to relax. Our Room was a view-bath twin with a separate washing area, and we enjoyed the greenery outside. The breakfast buffet offered fresh Japanese and Western dishes as well as desserts, which was very satisfying. Next time, I’d like to book a Multiple Night Stay.

    At first, we were shown to a basement Room. There was no view at all. We asked to change to the first floor, but the view was only about 0.2 above the wall. At this Hotel, if you can’t stay on the second floor or higher, you may be assigned a Room with no view—or even worse—so please be careful.

    This is my favorite Hotel.

    The location is excellent. It’s close to the station and in a wonderful, Kyoto-like area along the Kamo River. This was my fourth stay—I’d love to live around here.\nThis was my first time staying in a first-floor View Bath Twin Room. I didn’t understand what “view bath” meant, but it seems to mean you can see green wallpaper (apparently) beyond the bathroom. You can’t see any outdoor scenery.\nThe Room is a bit small, but I could still open my suitcase, so I have no complaints. The large public bath was spacious and clean.\nThis was also my first time having breakfast here—it was delicious.

    Cherry Blossom Season

    Located between the Kamo River and the Takase River, I was lucky to visit during cherry blossom season and enjoyed beautiful scenery. I was told there were no toothbrushes in the Room, so I brought my own, but they were available at the front desk—I wish that had been clearly stated. They also offered luggage storage before and after check-in, which was convenient for sightseeing, so overall I was very satisfied. The Room was spacious enough and my stay was comfortable, but the large public bath in the basement had many international guests, so I used only the bath in my Room. I had some concerns about how clean the bathtub was and cleaned it myself with body soap before using it. I also noticed some mold around the sealing parts. There wasn’t bottled water in the Room, but there was a water dispenser where you can get as much as you need; however, perhaps due to careless use by some guests, the floor around it was quite wet and unpleasant.

    A very good Hotel

    I always stay here. The Room is clean, spacious, and comfortable. Having the bath and toilet separate is also very convenient. This is a Hotel I would like to return to again.

    It was a comfortable and highly satisfying stay.

    I have stayed at the Solaria Hotel in Kyushu before and had been hoping to use it in Kyoto as well. What I really like about the Solaria Hotel is that the toilet, washbasin, and bath are separate, and I love the layout with its use of glass. This time, I stayed in a Room with a Kamogawa River view, and I was able to enjoy the peaceful scenery through the large window. The bed height and comfort were excellent, temperature control was easy, and it made for a very comfortable stay. I also liked that the window could be opened slightly to let in fresh air. A couple of minor inconveniences were that the Room lighting was a bit dim, and the floor map signage and elevator arrows were subtle and hard to see, so I got lost when I first stepped out of my Room. The meals had an elegant flavor and were very delicious. I also enjoyed walking along the Kamogawa River and exploring the shopping streets, which offered a different kind of enjoyment compared with a Hotel right by the station. I’m grateful that I was able to stay at a great price for this season. Although I changed my travel schedule several times, it turned out to be a very satisfying stay.

    It was great.

    During my Multiple Night Stay, I was wondering what the breakfast buffet would be like, and I was pleasantly surprised to find that the menu changed quite a bit. The Room and the bath were both great! I’m very satisfied. Thank you.

    A very convenient Hotel

    The location is on the corner of Oike-dori and Kiyamachi-dori, much more convenient than Karasuma, and it also comes with parking. I arrived early, but they prepared the Room right away. The large public bath has two baths—an indoor bath and an open-air-style bath—and it is fairly spacious. The Room’s bathroom and toilet are separate, and there is also a washing area, which was very comfortable. It’s very convenient and clean, so I would like to stay here again.

    Amazing Kamogawa River view

    This was my first stay here. I’ve enjoyed many stays in Kyoto, but this was my first time at Solaria. It’s located in the heart of the sightseeing area, close to the lively Kawaramachi district, yet at a pleasantly calm distance—perfect. A Hotel I’d be happy to stay at again.

    Would love to stay again.

    Conveniently located near the station, with cafes and famous shops just a short walk away. The service from the Hotel staff was attentive, and the cleaning staff's subtle greetings were pleasant. The well-maintained Room was spacious and comfortable. While there is a large public bath, the bathroom in the Room itself was also sufficiently spacious. The amenities near the lobby felt a bit limited, but Laura Ashley soaps and shampoos are likely to appeal to women. One minor drawback would be the view; while not seeing the river is fine, having pedestrians right outside when opening the curtains can feel intrusive. I used half lace curtains in the morning and fully closed them at night. For this price range, such a spacious Room would be unimaginable in Tokyo or Osaka! For those concerned about views or privacy, I recommend requesting an upper floor with a river view. I will definitely stay here again!

    Both the meals and the environment are excellent.

    I stayed at Kamogawa Twin. The Room was clean and had a good layout. The view of Kamogawa was stunning, and just looking outside was soothing. The meals offered a wide variety and were all delicious. The vegetables were fresh, the Obanzai dishes were perfectly seasoned, and the sweets like the donut stand were charming, making dining an enjoyable experience.

    2 nights and 3 days stay over the weekend

    Located along the Kamo River in a prime location, this accommodation offers a reasonable stay. The bath and toilet are completely separate, and the view bath was excellent. While it is not an onsen, there is also a large public bath. The room was very warm, and since the windows could not be opened, I had to set the air conditioning to cooling even in midwinter. Other than that, it was clean and quiet. A short walk leads to downtown areas, and with a subway station nearby, it's great for exploring Kyoto. Next time, I would like to stay in a room with a Kamo River view.

    Very good Hotel

    Although it is a bit far from Shijo Kawaramachi Station, everything else was satisfactory. I plan to stay here again in the future.

    It is very comfortable for a Business Hotel.

    The service was excellent. As a Business Hotel, the location is convenient and provides a suitable environment. I stayed with the intention of relaxing for sightseeing purposes, but the room was a bit small, and the placement of the closet (at the very back of the room) detracted from the sense of comfort. While it may be practical to pick up amenities at the lobby on your own, it diminishes any premium feel, which was slightly disappointing. Compared to A Hotel and T Hotel as a Business Hotel, this one is much better.
