    Would love to stay again.

    I don't usually write reviews, but it was so wonderful that I decided to share my experience. The hospitality from everyone at the front desk, in the guest rooms, and during meals was exceptional. The meals were especially delicious and exceeded my expectations. I couldn't believe how great everything was for this price! On a minor note, I personally would have appreciated slightly larger trash bins in the bathroom and living area. I'm looking forward to visiting again!

    An Accommodation You'll Want to Stay at Again

    A trip to Nara for two. We chose this accommodation because of its great location and high review ratings. On the day of our stay, we were upgraded to a Japanese-Western style residence room as it was available. The spacious room with a wooden aroma, excellent amenities, and luxurious space felt almost too good for just the two of us. However, what stood out even more was the hospitality at this accommodation. The lobby offered drinks and ice cream, allowing us to refresh immediately after returning from walking outside. The meals were delicious, with both dinner and breakfast providing high satisfaction. Above all, the staff's warm service was exceptional; their subtle attentiveness in actions and words made our stay truly comfortable. If we visit Nara again, we would definitely want to stay here! Thank you very much!

    Wonderful Accommodation

    Stayed to celebrate my mother's birthday. The room was upgraded, and my mother was delighted with the beautiful and clean room. Both dinner and breakfast were delicious, and we finished everything! The staff were all friendly and kind, making our stay very pleasant. We would love to stay again on our next trip to Nara. It was a wonderful trip where I could spend quality time with my mother. Thank you very much!

    Heartfelt hospitality at a Japanese Ryokan

    I made a reservation at Asukasou the day before because the reviews were good. The hospitality was just as great, if not better, than the reviews described. Thank you very much. Next time, I would like to make a reservation with meals included.

    Family-friendly

    We stayed with 4 children and 6 people in total. It’s rare to find a hotel that accommodates 6 people, but the spacious Japanese-style room was very satisfying. We changed our plan to exclude dinner just a few days before, and despite checking in at 9 PM, the staff provided extremely courteous service, which was very helpful. The Onsen had separate indoor and outdoor baths, so we couldn’t enjoy both, which was a bit disappointing. However, since it wasn’t crowded at that time of day and felt like a private experience for our family, it worked well even with kids. The amenities like yukata were available in various sizes for children, accommodating all four of them perfectly. The variety of drinks available in the lobby was also surprisingly nice. It’s within walking distance to Todai-ji Temple, and we appreciated being able to leave our car parked after check-out while sightseeing nearby. Highly recommended for families with many children!

    Upon check-in, I was upgraded for free to a newly opened Room. The spacious Room was sophisticated and luxurious, catering to foreign tourists as well. It also came equipped with convenient amenities like a microwave, making it an excellent stay. The Plan included free drinks at the rooftop terrace lounge, where the variety and quality of beverages were impressive, providing a relaxing and satisfying experience. Both dinner and breakfast were served in private-style restaurant settings. As someone who considers themselves a gourmet with high standards for food, I found both meals exceptionally delicious and highly satisfying. The location is conveniently close to Kofuku-ji Temple and Todai-ji Temple, while all the staff members were friendly and welcoming. It truly was an excellent Hotel!

    The scenery shown in the photos was not present, nor was it mentioned in any guidance.

    Bathroom: There is a mysterious statue that feels unsettling. Room: The futon mattress is hard, and the comforter is heavy, which made my body ache when I woke up in the morning. Towels: You are expected to bring the towel provided in your room to the bathroom. However, since this place promotes its Onsen experience and encourages multiple visits to the large public bath or open-air bath, having only one towel feels inconvenient as it needs to be reused repeatedly.

    It was a cozy Hotel....

    It was a cozy Hotel. The Room was a Japanese-Western style, but it didn't feel very relaxing. It could have used more brightness. The open-air bath and the large public bath were surprisingly small despite being separate facilities. The meals were moderate in quantity, not flashy but carefully prepared and served in beautiful dishes, which made them delicious. Since the dining area had partitioned booths, we could enjoy our meal at a leisurely pace.

    My mother was delighted.

    We stayed as a family of three, including my 2-year-old child and my mother, to celebrate her birthday. Perhaps because I mentioned the birthday during the reservation, our room was upgraded, which was a wonderful surprise. The room was very clean and beautiful, and my child loved it. Thank you so much. The staff provided courteous service throughout our stay, which was truly relaxing. Every meal was delicious and helped us unwind from daily stress. Despite being served in the room, all dishes were warm, and my mother was extremely satisfied. The local sake was also excellent. We would love to stay here again as a family!

    A Relaxing Accommodation

    We stayed in a 10-tatami mat Japanese-style room with a breakfast-only plan this time. Since we often stay in Kyoto for school trips and other occasions, we were looking forward to staying in Nara as it was a rare experience for us. The accommodation is conveniently located near Nara Park and within walking distance of the Naramachi area, which made it an excellent choice. Additionally, the high review ratings made us decide to book without hesitation. What stood out the most was the exceptional service from the front desk staff—they were incredibly polite and helpful. The accommodation itself was quiet, peaceful, and allowed us to relax fully. The room, bath, and restroom were all clean and well-maintained. Breakfast was traditional Japanese cuisine befitting such an inn; each dish was delicious with generous portions that left us satisfied. While there were foreign guests who seemed to struggle using chopsticks with both hands diligently, offering a Western-style breakfast option might be worth considering. This trip coincided with our child's tournament schedule, so we had to leave early in the morning; otherwise, we would have loved to spend more leisurely time here. Despite this limitation, our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this accommodation. It’s unfortunate that we couldn’t see Kofukuji Temple's pagoda from the bath area; however, we hope to stay here again someday. Thank you for providing such wonderful memories during spring break!

    We stayed as a family during the holiday. For the price, the Facility and meals were a bit disappointing. It felt like a traditional Ryokan.

    Highly Satisfied

    Cozy and quiet with fewer groups, offering a calm atmosphere. Meals are Kansai-style and very good. Parking is available on-site. The bath is nice, and it would be even better if it's a genuine Onsen. Large TV in the Room is great. Excellent attention to detail and care from the staff. Would love to visit again!

    Adult School Trip

    An adult school trip with three classmates We stayed for one night! Although the open-air bath was not spacious, it was very clean and extremely comfortable! All the Hotel staff were warm and pleasant. Both breakfast and dinner were delicious! The sake tasting was also enjoyable. I would like to visit again once the renovation of Kofukuji Temple is completed.

    We visited to celebrate a 60th birthday.

    During our trip to Kansai to celebrate my husband's 60th birthday, we decided to stay an extra night and made a last-minute Reservation for the two of us. The staff were very polite, and their thoughtful gestures made our stay extremely pleasant. Both dinner and breakfast were incredibly delicious, with beautifully presented dishes served one after another at a perfect pace, leaving us completely satisfied. The bath was not crowded when I went, and I had the open-air bath all to myself. I enjoyed a relaxing soak while listening to the sound of the overflowing Onsen. It was a Property that exceeded its price. I would definitely like to stay here again. One thing, the private bath time of 40 minutes felt a bit short, and I wished I could have stayed in a little longer. Also, although this is not the Property's fault, it was disappointing to see foreign guests walking in the bath area wearing slippers with their children.

    Stays where you can spend a calm and quiet Nara time.

    I visited on a cold winter day. I left my luggage before sightseeing and checked in after visiting Kasuga Shrine and Kofukuji Temple. The room seemed to have been upgraded, and it was a clean and fresh room after renovation. Both dinner and breakfast were delicately presented, with a refined taste that was gentle on the body, leaving me very satisfied. I enjoyed the Onsen both at night and in the morning at a leisurely pace. It seemed to suit my skin, and even after returning home, my face still feels smooth. The staff at the front desk and dining area had kind smiles and provided attentive service with a perfect balance of presence and distance, making my stay even more comfortable. I would like to visit again. Thank you very much!

    I would like to visit again.

    Wow, the room was upgraded as the construction was completed. I wonder if they were considerate because it was a celebration for my mother's 70th birthday? It was a very nice room. The meals were delicious, and we also reserved a cake, which was not too sweet or heavy, and the two of us easily finished a size 4. I was pleased to find pajamas available even though there were yukatas. The pajamas were very comfortable to wear. The only disappointment was that I wished there were about three types of large baths. However, the water temperature was perfect! It was close to tourist attractions, and they kindly held our luggage after checkout, which was helpful. If the wish I made at Kasuga Taisha (Kasuga Taisha) comes true, I would like to stay again when I visit to give thanks (laugh).

    I had a relaxing stay.

    During the New Year's period, there were many guests, but I was able to spend my time quietly. The room had a separate bath, toilet, and washroom, so I could use them with peace of mind. (This is important for women.) The large public bath had separate indoor and open-air baths, allowing us to enjoy each one. The meal was breakfast only, but the freshly cooked rolled omelet and warm vegetables were appreciated during the cold season. If I have the opportunity, I would like to use the property again.

    New Year's Eve

    I made a reservation so that I could relax while going for the first shrine visit of the year on New Year's Eve. It was my first time staying at a ryokan on New Year's Eve, but the room was clean and I had a pleasant stay. Above all, the dinner course served in a private room was so luxurious and delicious that I was truly moved. From the appetizers of the dinner, everything from the taste to the presentation and the dishes was beautiful and wonderful. There was a trouble where we couldn't enter the private room due to a mistake, but it was handled well afterwards. The ozoni for breakfast was also delicious and impressive. I would like to stay again if I have the opportunity. It became a very good memory of Nara. Thank you for taking care of us. Thank you very much.

    Stayed in a designer Japanese-Western style room on the Kofukuji side and used the private bath. Everything about the room, meals, bath, and hospitality was wonderful.

    A nice property that is friendly to families with children.

    We used this Ryokan for a trip with our baby. At first, I thought the building was a bit old, but the entrance and room were well cleaned, and there was a welcome drink in the lobby, leaving a good impression. Perhaps because we used it on a weekday, we were given a larger room than the type we reserved, allowing us to relax. There were diaper bins in the lobby toilet and the room toilet, which was appreciated for those with children. The meals were wonderful. The restaurant was a private dining room, and it seemed to have been recently renovated, giving it a new atmosphere. I was worried about what to do if the child cried during the meal and disturbed others, so the private room was appreciated. (It is not a completely private room as the ceiling is open) They also prepared a baby bed in the room. It was a bit cold, so when I asked for a blanket, they brought it immediately. The cuisine was kaiseki, each dish was elaborate and delicious, it was truly the best! The breakfast the next day was also all delicious. Including the timing of bringing the dishes, the detailed attentiveness was also wonderful. If I were to mention one disappointing point, it would be that there were stairs in the lobby, and we had to lift the stroller each time. A ramp would be appreciated. The large public bath and open-air bath were small in size, but since both were in a private state, we were able to use them spaciously. This Ryokan is easily accessible from the main tourist spots in Nara, so we stopped by each time we needed to change diapers or breastfeed. Also, it seems that the lounge is not open during the winter, but I would like to use it when the season is nice. There are many Ryokans and Hotels around, but overall, I think it is a very satisfying Ryokan. It was a healing trip for the first time in a while after giving birth. Thank you very much.

    The location is excellent and the food is delicious.

    I made a reservation attracted by the good location. I wanted to arrive before noon to do some sightseeing, so I was allowed to park my car. I was grateful for the detailed explanation of the surrounding sightseeing points. I had reserved a 10-tatami mat Japanese-style room, but I was lucky to be upgraded to a two-room Japanese-style suite. The meals were also very delicious, and it was a satisfying stay. I recommend this property.

    Heartwarming hospitality in the ancient city of Nara

    The smiles of everyone at the Hotel are wonderful! I was healed. The Room was also clean. The deer-shaped sweets were cute and delicious, I especially liked the breakfast.

    I used this accommodation when visiting the Shosoin Exhibition. I arrived a little early, but they kindly allowed me to park, which was very helpful. Both dinner and breakfast were served at the right temperature, making the most of the ingredients. Each dish was beautifully presented, providing visual enjoyment as well. The open-air bath was closer to the guest room, so I used it. The water temperature was pleasantly warm, not too hot, making it easy to stay in for a long time. I was able to spend a relaxing time.
